Tried the Chile verde and it was super hot! Good flavor but I’m a wuss for too much spicy. The carnitas my husband got were amazing and the beans and rice are really good too. Look forward to coming back to try other dishes
Over $10 for Chorizo con Huevos and there wasnt much Chorizo. Maybe everything is getting more expensive but I was not impressed in the least. No salsa came with the chips and the salsa bar is closed, 50% of seating is taped off...avoid this place until they are opened back up fully. Most people like the pickled carrots and peppers and salsa bar and all that is unavailable now as well as increased prices. You are better off going to a food truck and gambling on quality. If you must have mexican La Pinata, La Victoria, and Senaidas all are better options currently and the Newark location is always a better option then the Mission Blvd locale.
Just wish they had better salsas, they are very watery and not spicy at all.They have good food but if you dont have a good salsa that changes everything.

This place is in our neighborhood and we have gone here over 20years, the last 4-5 years the food has gone down hill. Tonighr we did our usual order enchilada plate vegetarian plate and tacos. The beans tasted awful, like the inside of a tin pan, very metalic tasting. I wanted to drown it in salt to give it flavor. The enchiladas had no flavor and very little sauce. The tacos were so greasy I patted them with a nakpin and when I tried it eat it but the carne asada was very dry.This is in our neighborhood and we love to support local business but they really need to get back to basics and let the food have flavor like it used to.
A decent taqueria. Food is pretty good and the prices are in line with the menu quality. I typically get the vegetarian burrito and wife gets the carne asada plate. The staff are friendly and the inside is typically clean and well maintained. If youre looking for some good mexican food at a reasonable price in the Union City/Fremont area, you cant go wrong with Los Gallos.
I eat here all the time and consider one of the top 2 or 3 taquerias - and my favorite! - in Hayward. The food is well-seasoned, the staff are courteous, efficient, and buxom, and the beers are icy cold and refreshing. The chips are tasty, though perhaps a tad smallish portions, particularly if you are ordering para llevar. But without question the salsa bar is great - varied, regularly restocked, y sabor!!
A great taqueria. Weve been going here for years and its been consistently great food every time. Theyve got good ol giant Mission-style burritos as well as traditional dishes. There are crispy chips and a good salsa bar. On a recent visit they topped off my agua fresca for free before I left. Nice people.
Not quite sure why there are so many glowing reviews. I walked in out of curiosity and tried an enchilada platter. My main impression was that the place was dirty and the staff didnt much care. The refried beans tasted like the bottom of the pot had burnt, and there was nothing was remotely good about the food. Bland and uninteresting. You know what its like to eat something thats been thrown together without love or care, or even giving a f*** what it tastes like? That feeling.
I dont know what the hell Raider Live is talking about but this place is one of the most authentic taquerias in Hayward. Ive been coming here since I was a little kid and all their food is great. Come here if you want good mexican food thats way better than ANY food truck you can find!
Los Gallos is consistently good. I usually get the Loss Gallos Quesadilla with Al Pastor, my favorite. Their carnitas and carne asada are regular orders that I enjoy as well.Im the last few months, their salsa has become increasingly spicy. Im not sure if its because of a change of ownership, but its still good.

Great little taqueria close to my house. Their tacos are awesome and their burritos are really good as well. Also reasonably priced. I highly recommend it if you need to get good mexican to go.

Today I ordered a burrito, which by the way was delicious, but it took a while to go pick it up, when Leo arrives, he takes more than ten in customer service, great, very attentive, first he offered me a bag for my sauces and second I He put the burrito to heat again so that I wouldnt eat it cold, because of the time it takes to go pick it up, thanks for the attention, I recommend the place

(we literally visited 3 other places which were all closed)With our current situations, these smaller things bring a bigger smile to ones day. So MUCHAS GRACIAS!Dont be quick to judge, this taqueria is a hidden gem in a shopping center. From the looks of it, they have a lot of regular business, it was busy when we got there and got busier as we waited for our order.Food: We ordered the veggie burrito and a cheese enchilada plate. Both hit the spot! The burrito was well packed, filling was evenly distributed (usually places will load with rice), and though looked big, was light!The enchilada plate -OMG - red sauce had great flavor just the right amount of cheese to get a nice bite, and the right size. Not huge, long ones, but 3 taco sized wraps. The dish came with rice, beans, a smallish salad, sour cream and guacamole.Service: They were quick ! ~ 15 minute wait. We walked in and ordered (please practice safe distancing and protection) - they also take orders over the phone.Additional: Open kitchen - you can see them making the dishes, the kitchen was well kept. Employees were wearing gloves, and mindful of the policies (masks are required to go in).Will definitely be back to get our Mexican fix!
