Located steps from my hotel, California Mexican cuisine is to die for. Service was friendly. their Birria tacos and self serve salsa station were the highlights. They also have the cutest alleyway dining outside with decor that makes you feel you just walked through a door to Mexico. Must try if youre in the area the reviews are accurate and food was delectable.

I was visiting SF to meet a friend and had a couple of hours to kill. After a lot of search, I came across this place and thought to give it a try. This place is a GEM. I reached around lunch hours so didn’t get a spot inside the restaurant but they have a few tables on the side as well. I ordered their crazy burrito which was loaded with fries, cheese sauce, meat, sour cream, guacamole. Amazing taste and quick service.Like i said, this place is a gem so i had to visit again. I visited this place again on the day i was leaving and decide to try their regular tacos and super tacos. This time i had al pastor, grilled chicken super tacos and fresh guacamole with chips. I ate like there was no tomorrow. I 100% recommend you guys to give this place a try and I’m sure you won’t disappoint. Will be back again

Our final meal in California and my cousin sister suggested Taqueria Mi Durango. So glad we tried this place. Each regular taco costs about $4 to 5. The Al Pastor and Fried Fish tacos are phenomenal and must order. Super highly recommended.

Love coming back to the bay area so that I can get good burritos. This place didnt disappoint. Authentic. Large. Tasty. Had the chicken burrito and it hit the spot. Homemade salsas were excellent, delivering enough flavor and spiciness. Will definitely go back!

I was in the area on Thursday dropping off two pairs of jeans for alteration at Brigette Cleaners at 241 El Camino Real. It was raining lightly and not busy. There were two young met seated in a booth as I walked in - my first time ordering from this establishment. Since I dont eat a lot of meat I decided to go with the Mushroom Quesadilla. I had worked all day in San Francisco, commuted via BART & wanted to get home. I opted to get this only, no drink. Cost with tax was over $14. I was surprised not to receive any chips with my order. As I was waited for my order a couple came in. The two young men in the booth who I thought were eating in were actually waiting for an order. The man behind the counter took their order to them. As I sat waiting in a booth, I saw the man behind the counter place another order on top of a barrel located outside behind the counter, obviously a to go order. Then my order was ready. He called out Mushroom Quesadilla but did not take my order out to me. Was it because I was the only woman. Yes, I think so. From the get go I found the man to have a condescending attitude toward me and quite rude. Of note is that I am 64. I have also had Mushroom Quesadillas before. This one was sauteed and placed on a thin paper plate covered in tin foil. Had they not placed my order in a plastic bag it would have leaked all over my car. Upon my arrival home when I removed it from the bag it had completely leaked through the paper plate onto my counter. I immediately though of the Dixie Plate commercial. No, I will not be ordering from Taqueria Mi Durango again.

I flew all the way from Asia and needed a nice local dinner. This was very much perfect and just what I’ve been craving for all this while. All the 4 tacos i had were bursting with flavour. And also so full of meat and veggies and everything else! Highly recommended, especially if you’ve booked a room in one of the nearby motels

When I see places like this with 4.6+ rating with more than 500 reviews I really feel an urge to test them and most of those places I visit every once in a while after, and recommend to my friends, if they don’t disappoint me. So far I have more than 200 places on my Google map saved in different areas, and the list keeps growing.This one is good and better than taco vans for sure, but I can’t give it 5. I ordered a full plate that is one of the biggest, but I did want to try just a super small sample of the soup of the day that they are selling and asked for an option to give me like 1 ounce of the soup to know for future if I’m returning to test it. My request was declined, however I was the only client in that place at the moment, guys were not busy, so it’s definitely not less than 4 since my food was good there, but not that unique and memorable experience for 5I will still recommend it to people I know in millbrae area

Very tasty and welcoming place. I was looking for something quick and saw a short line outside and decided to stop in. Fast service in a nice and small place. It has a great outside seating area with about 4 little tables too. That area was nice, blocking some noise from the road and creating an ornate place to grab a bite with a well decorated fence along the way. Tacos were great as well as the guac and chips. Also has a little salsa bar to grab what you like. Definitely a great spot for some food.

Small Mexican restaurant on the side of El Camino. No parking lot here so youll have to look for streetside parking which is a bit of a squeeze here. Thought the prices were high at first but they put a bunch of stuff on the taco.Taco Durango with tripa ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: crispy cheesy tortilla with a regular tortillas makes for a delicious combo. The trip had a good bite and had some crispy bits. Had almost a bacon-y texture.Super taco with al pastor ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: didnt really get as much meat with this one as opposed to the taco Durango. Since there was so much toppings I couldnt really taste the meat. Pretty good value but I might recommend the regular taco over super for better meat ratio.Horchata ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️: not as sweet and cinnamon-y as a lot of horchatas I have tried but great for those who dont have a sweet tooth.

Whoaaa ❤️. Among the best tacos I have ever had. Got a “Regular” taco with chille Verde and the pork was so damn tender and flavorful. Also splurged for a prawn taco and it was a spicy punch of goodness. WillLikely come back for lunch tomorrow before hopping a flight to Alaska.

Awesome place with cool staff and great food! Prices very reasonable in comparison to the other Mexican restaurant further down the street which I did stop by first. This place isnt big but there is extra table seatings on the side of the building and they have tv for watching some games along with music there, so its a cool chill spot. Ill definitely will be back when in the area or passing by if hungry. Thanks guys, the tamales was really good!!

So we’ve been in this area for a couple days now- ate at Tony’s Pizza in the heart of San Fran; had some good seafood in North Beach- but this place took the cake. I really love this taqueria. From the variety of tortillas, to the fresh fish in their tacos and burritos, Each item here is delicious. They have great salsas. They roast jalapenos to add to dishes or as a side. They recently got a facelift. Hope they succeed in this location for years to come.

We got the supreme quesadilla and the burrito con birria. Both were great. The quesadilla had pineapple in it which was an interesting touch that worked very well. I would suggest getting a bowl if birria for the burrito. The birria is poured in the burrito but it tasted a lot better after dousting the thing with the sauce like a French dip sub. We had stayed for a day in a near-by hotel before taking on on-ward flight. Picked up food from this restaurant and had great experience. Most importantly, my daughter misplaced her mobile phone and could not find it after we got food from this restaurant. We went back there asking them if we had left the phone there. They were so helpful that they looked at the video of the place to see if they could find the phone. Jesus (from owner family) spent considerable time to identify us in the video and we were able to find that the phone was in her jacket as we were able to notice something heavy in the jacket. This is how we found that we did not lose the phone and it was indeed in her jacket in silent mode. I give him five stars for the friendly nature of the people in this restaurant. Food was great as well.

Ordered 7 burritos via Door Dash. Then added an 8th burrito on a separate Door Dash order. Single burrito showed up no problem. Large order was cancelled with no reason given. Re-ordered a second time and again, cancelled. Called to find out what happened and no answer. Called a second time, no answer.Then Door Dash announces that the business is closed for the day. If you dont like large orders, just say so, but dont just cancel an order for no reason other than its too much food to make. Very disappointing.

My first time here. The menu looks awesome- extensive and authentic. I tried the grilled vegetarian burrito (mild sauce) and a regular-sized horchata. It came with high-quality (thick) tortilla chips, and sauces (fixings) a plenty to choose from. The grilled vegetarian burrito was sooo good. I could tell from my first bite. Everything (onions, mushrooms, rice, refried beans (can choose if refried or black), and cheese melted into each other in a delicious way. The tortilla itself was high quality- moist and thick. The portion (even the regular-sized that I got) was generous. The horchata, served fresh, was so yummy as well.Aside from the first thing Ive tried there being delicious, the restaurant staff was friendly and gracious. They seemed to really appreciate the business, as when I left, I heard a very sincere Thank you! from the person who helped me at the register.The restaurant is cozy, homey, good for eating alone or in a small group. I enjoyed the patio, where colorful decorations and succulent plants made the space feel homey.

Big fan of their tacos of all kinds during the pandemic. Very flavorful and filling, and orders are usually very quickly turned around. I want to explore more of the menu, but a fish taco durango is hard to pass up! Quality overall is good, though not astounding. Pretty amazing good. It came out hot, just the way I like it. It’s more food then you think. I asked for the most popular dish and this was what I got. Kind of a hole in the wall with very delicious food. My husband had a huge super burrito and I had 3 fried tacos. Yum squared. The food is very well priced and they have spa water (yesterday it was cucumber and lime). They have a tiny covered outdoor area with the most beautiful succulent wall.Definitely worth a visit. Great small spot with decent food. Sometimes the food is amazing and sometimes its just fine. They have outside seating, though a bit crowded at times, and a few inside tables. They keep fans running to help circulate air. Prices are decent for quality and amount of food you get. If youre craving mexican food, this is a place you should visit to help scratch that itch.

One of my top 2 taquerias around San Bruno and South City. The other is El Farolito. They’re both tied in my opinion. Here they are friendly, fast and just serve good food. Everything is seriously good. You can not make a bad choice here because the entire menu is good. I want everything here and I always over order. The ingredients and how they make the food is what sets them apart. Always hot, fresh and with flavor. Another good sign is when I saw customers buy tubs of the salsas and extra meats. The portions are already big and there’s a salsa bar but people will pay for more because it’s just hella good.

Exhausted after flying in from Australia, checked out the ratings and decided to grab a feed. The outside and inside looked a bit of a concern, however I found the ratings were spot on. Jesus, who took our order, was friendly and helpful to us trying to make a decision with what to order, and was as good if not better than the millions of customer service people I have ever dealt with. The food was served quickly and was delicious. The spices and flavours were incredibly matched for the food. If I didnt live in Australia, this would be my No. 1. What a hidden little gem! Highly recommend their fried fish tacos as well as the al pastor tacos. They also have some combo platters that are good value for money. The dips and salsas taste fresh and have a nice kick. The food is delicious with good portions and the prices are super affordable. What more can one want? A succulent garden maybe? Well they have that too! One rarely goes to a taqueria for ambiance but if you enjoy being surrounded by plants, this place has a perfect outdoor nook to enjoy your meal in. The staff are super friendly too. I will certainly be back and try other things on their menu.

While their new storefront is gorgeous, their old one was bright orange and that let me know that they had good food.I almost always get Durango Nachos - yeah yeah, not real Mexican food, but theyre good af. Also their streak Alhambra plate is delicious. And you get SO MUCH FOOD. We happily drive from Millbrae to get food here even if El Super is closer to us.The food at Mi Durango is always very fresh and tasty and theres plenty of it. One of my favorite places for carnitas but all their meats are really good. Their salsa bar is awesome too, and their pickled veggies are some of the best around. Favorites are their nachos and burritos/bowls but we always enjoy whatever we get here. The service is spot-on with orders taken and made correctly every time. Yesterday I ordered the regular nachos but they accidentally made supreme. They caught it before they gave me the order and gave us both the regular and accidental supreme order! I tried out their pollo en salsa burrito. (Aka chicken cooked in hot salsa.) They have a ton of tortilla types - tomato, spinach, or garlic anyone? The chicken was *ridiculously* juicy. My burrito was 2/3 meat and a little greasy. I like more veggies personally. You cant say they skimp on the meat though! Chips were unsalted. Salsas Id give 4/5.The only reason its a 4 is because the competition is fierce here. Ill come back. But Ill order more carefully.

I just got this delivered through Uber eats. Took about thirty mins after pickup to get dropped off.Couple things. Im always one to say tacos need to be eaten on the spot or they wont be good. These were delicious even after the travel time. (asada and carnitas)Second thing, I always judge Mexican places on what kind of meat they use for the asada. While visiting we found this place by accident. We taco salad, beef, and majado burrito, chicken. Both were fantastic. I have had mexican food all over the country. This place is in the top 4 on my list. my husband normally doesnt like mexican food and he said this place was the best next to homemade from a friend straight from Mexico. Mi Durango better be happy they have no real competition in regards to a good Taqueria in San Bruno, though San Bruno Taqueria is good too. First the cons. Their Spanish rice is greasy but I think they can address and fix this small issue. Now the pros. I tend to order the same thing while visiting Mi Durango. Two shrimp taco combo plate but as of lately, it went from very good to okay. Still, I recommend it. They do a good job there in light of all the COVID-19 constraints. It’s interesting, a few day ago I ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon and I think had the bacon been a little more on the crispy side, it would of been outstanding! Got a California burrito carne asada. Their salsas are pretty tasty. They ran out of Lengua. My burrito was really unbalanced. I bit into straight cheese which is pretty sad since almost no cheese at the other end. Ill probably return one day to try their Lengua. There was barely any meat in it too. Its cool that I get to pick a tortilla type(4or 5 types) as well, no extra charge. It took a while as well.
