Called the night before to reserve a Peking duck. It was very well made.After the meat is sliced off you can ask them to make the leftover meat and bones into a seasoned dish or soup. I think the seasoned dish is good but ok to skip. I would like to try the soup next time.

Taste is okay, food is overpriced though. They came with regular/large portions but also note the pricing is high AND the ingredients are cheap. I ordered a duck blood in spicy sauce and it was filled with hot dogs, spam and bean sprouts. I’ve never seen hot dogs and spam in this dish. I would leave a one star but added one more as they improved not forcing customers to pay 18% tip. I was able to customize my tip %.

They used to have the best Rou jia mo in the Bay Area, but today it tasted like someone dropped an entire bag of salt into the filling. The new thinner bread is pretty good, but the filling is completely inedible. Please bring back the old recipe. It was awesome.

If you want to eat Beking Duck, you need to call advance to reserve one. The duck is a little bit fat, so its just ok-ish. The whole duck is a lot for three people, we only finish half of them as we also order two more dishes. Overall, the taste is good but I feel that the price is a little too high.

This restaurant was famous for it Peking Duck that brought us here. Unfortunately it tasted plain n no flavors. We asked the waitress about it n she replied harshly n rudely (really disappointed). NOTHING IS WHAT IT APPEARS ON THE MANU PHOTOS! Foods r not good n services are mannerless n rude!

Came here expressly for their Peking Duck and was not disappointed. You gotta call ahead for a reservation so they know to prepare the duck for you. A whole duck for $79 gives you two plates of duck, wraps, veggie slices for the wraps, and sauce. Additionally, you also get the option of duck soup or duck stir fry. Id say all this plus a veggie stirfry and a smaller side dish is enough for a full meal for 3-4 people.

The environment was nice and tidy. There were a few signs of XX HuTong on the wall. I had no ideas where those Hutongs were and what they meant, but they gave me a feel of the good old days in the 80s back in China.Food was clean and just seemed to be what they should be. It took more than an hour for the duck to be ready, and the duck tasted good. Nothing was too spicy or salty or oily. I like the boiled lamb the most, simple, unpretentious, yet confident.

Flavour totally off. Taste bad. Over-priced. Menu overly produced. Decors are flavourful, but its all show, no substance.I do not write counter-recommendations often. But this one has to be the poster child of my Chinese restaurant rule of thumb: Do not trust a restaurant whose menu contains dishes from all cuisines in China. This 京味小馆 comes with a special twist.The original rule was formulated against traditional restaurants run by older generations (often 2nd or 3rd generation immigrants), catering to mostly American clientele. This one is run by first-gen Chinese catering to mostly ethnic Chinese. (This is another reason why this one is so disappointing: Most such new crop of Chinese restaurants are excellent.) Usual suspects of the original rule most often raise Cantonese flag while their menus include all cuisines. This one raises Beijing flag, but all its flagship dishes are of Sichuan flavour.If I choose to dine in Beijing Cuisine, why would I order Sichuan dishes? (BTW, the flag itself is itself questionable because by any count, Beijing flavour can hardly count as a cuisine in China. To their credit, the restaurants Chinese name does not exaggerate cuisine.) So I ordered several very typical low-brow Beijing dishes that I enjoyed during my eight-year stay there. None of them tasted close to what I used to have in Beijing. Several do not even taste descent.The restaurant has very flavourful decors that reminds people of modern Beijing, not the traditional Beijing as its Chinese name would suggest. I heard some diners loudly bragging about their prior experience at the location and praising its food quality. Several picture frames show photos of the owner with various modern celebrities of sorts. The menu is luxuriously produced, with photos that make your mouth water if you ever had those dishes. The moment I walked into the restaurant, I whispered to my daughter that this is a place that kan (砍, or chop) its patrons. (A similar Beijing colloquialism is zai, 宰, or slaughter.) Still, if the food is good, sometimes I am willing to pay a little for these productions. Alas! (Service is relatively speedy, but they hurry you in an unpleasant way.)Do not listen to any of the messaging, be it from your loud next-table diner, from silent celebrities in wall photos, or from the overly produced menu. Taste is bad here. (I am willing to admit that I did not order their flagship dishes. But then, if I want Sichuan food, I go to a restaurant that brags about its Sichuan cuisine so I can properly judge.)

I would give 0 star if Google allows me to do so. Its more than having bad food, but it gives you rotten potato in a dish!! I ordered a 地三鲜 today and all the potato in the dish is sour and rotten, which is ridiculous! I cannot quite understand how such a restaurant can pass the health inspection. I will definitely file a complaint about this. Its really a new low to me. I swear I will not go to either Cupertino site or Milpitas site any more.

This place is very rude. If you eat there, they will force a 18% tip. I eat there and was offered very minimal services. Their food are way overpriced. I ends up spending $150 for a dinner for 2 (we ordered a beijing duck, which is not well cooked -- speaking as a Beijing native). I give 15% tip, but their service lady came after me and insist on asking for 18%, and yet they refuse to give any extra source for my duck. This place is terrible, both the service and the food, and way overpriced. I suggest avoid at all cost.

Sadly disappointed...we went there on a weekday for dinner around 7:30. Service was ok, not as attentive or quick as they could be. Ordered 水煮魚、手扒羊、包心白菜。lamb soup had little lamb flavor yet very salty. Lamb meat was tender, tho not a lot of it. Cabbage was tough to eat, wasn’t crunchy as if should be, the flavor was too soy-saucy, should be more complex with more pronounced aroma. The fish was probably the best of the dishes, but too much bean sprout too little fish, especially for the price.The worst thing of all, parking situation in that plaza is simply ridiculous. Get a ride there if you can.Good luck.

Very bad. The service is too bad. We were told there is a 20mins waiting. It’s fine to wait a bit longer. However when there are new customers coming, they are served first. It turns out you need to eat ducks to get served first. We were not told so when I asked her.Also the way she speaks is in such bad tone. I don’t feel respected. Don’t go there. Our experience here was absolutely terrible. Manager named Joyce Chen was abusive to her customers after overbooking reservations. Makes you question her understanding of a reservation. She then threatened customers for taking her pictures because she believed that its illegal to have her pictures taken without consent, further makes you question her understanding of US laws. From what we saw, food quality and sanitation do not adequately meet restaurant standard. The place was over crowded with clear risks from fire hazard.

Owned by the same owner of the Taste Good Beijing Cuisine at Milpitas, this place is a little bigger and better decorated. The menu and taste is nearly identical to that of the Milpitas place, which is authentic Beijing cuisine (from Northern China). The most representative, and probably one of the tastiest dishes is Peking duck (北京烤鸭). You will need to call ahead (at least a couple of hours) in order to reserve this particular dish, but most likely, you wont be disappointed.

While the quality of the decor and furnishing gave me high hopes for this restaurant I was severely disappointed by the food. Everything but the soup was extremely salty. And Im usually one to add salty to everything. There was one dish that was particularly off. The spinach and nuts salad left a really weird taste in my mouth that lingered for about five minutes. My father was so off put by this he sent it back saying it numbed the tounge and asking if it was supposed taste like that. The order was remade but still tasted the same.

Very bad service!!! I ordered from Doordash and scheduled on 11:40am. When I came to picked it up, they let me wait more than another hour!!! They didn’t feel sorry about that and said they were too busy when there were very few people dining there. The Peking Duck here is good. Some parts of the skin is melt in your mouth in term of lightness. Ive tried the duck in Berkeley and the neighboring Cupertino restaurant. This place serves its duck right, better flavors than the other Cupertino place. The Berkeley duck is slightly more seasoned, but it is served incorrectly and the skin does not melt in your mouth. The only flavor missing from this duck is the lychee wood smoke sweetness that top China Peking duck restaurants use to scent the duck with. The duck carcass is served in a soup. You can also ask for leftover duck parts to be fried in salt and pepper for a few dollars extra. Overall, well executed Beijing cuisine.

[After eating this roast duck for more than an hour, I suffered from vomiting and diarrhea, which I had never experienced before in my life. By the end of the vomiting, I had no strength to even sit on the toilet. I called his manager today and his attitude was extremely bad and arrogant. Is your roast duck fresh? Cherish your life and stay away from MSG!This section was the most evaluated on the spot yesterday: one star is too much. The roast duck at this restaurant is the MSG Xuan mentioned in the previous review. Roast duck or mixed with roast goose? There is no crispy skin, the greasy skin is mixed with the fat meat. How dare you sell it for 79 dollars? The $45 ones at other places are better than yours! It doesn’t matter that the sausage in the grilled cold noodles is the cheapest. Did you have the nerve to sell it after leaving it for a week? There is an additional charge for duck rack soup, and I was not informed in advance that there was no duck rack in it. Forget it if there is no duck rack. The cabbage and tofu soup does not have salt and pepper. It must not be cooked with duck rack, but boiled water with tofu and cabbage. The duck rack was not processed until I finally asked for it. Then let’s talk about the glasses waiter, the one with the worst attitude in the Bay Area! I made a reservation several days in advance, but no one came in. I was forced to sit in the seat assigned by her, and I was asked to change it after talking for a long time. The attitude in the middle is also very bad. What in the end? Are you embarrassed to ask for an 18% tip? Are you still claiming to be the best hotel in the Bay Area? Im blind and didnt read the comments. You dont read the comments either? Telling lies with your eyes open! I come here to eat rotten food during the holidays. By the way, flies are flying around. I don’t have a fly swatter yet. After that, I was forced to swipe my card, and after much argument, I changed the amount by 10%. To be honest. You should not be paid a penny for your services! Review of Tasted Good Beijing Cuisine-Cupertino:I recently had a negative experience at Tasted Good Beijing Cuisine-Cupertino, a restaurant located in Cupertino. While the food was acceptable, the service I received was shockingly rude and left a sour taste in my mouth. My family and I had a simple dinner, spending a total of $107.2, and I left a tip of $10.8. Little did I know that this would lead to a distressing encounter at the cashier.After paying, the lady at the cashier came over to my table and yelled at me, questioning why my tip was not even equal to 10% of the bill. I was taken aback by her audacity to interrogate me about my tipping habits. I calmly explained that $10.8 was indeed 10% of the total amount. However, she insisted that it wasnt and claimed to have recalculated it herself.I was utterly shocked by this entire exchange.
