During my business trip, I stumble this traditional mom & pop store. I am stunned about how the quality of the food and especially handmade dumplings and fried rice was just out of this world! If you go to any typical Chinese Restaurant the dumplings are all packaged dumplings, none are handmade. Just lazy quality however this place is just like homemade cooking style. Love it! If you are local and you don’t know about this gem will you definitely have no clue of eating a traditional good ole fashioned Chinese food!

Legit. Whoever is behind the wok deserves a medal bc it’s one of the few Chinese restaurants where I can taste the wok flavor (see copy paste of definition from ChatGPT below). Morgan Hill is blessed to have this restaurant. Now I know where to pit stop before making my way back to the Bay Area.The distinctive flavor in Chinese cooking often referred to as wok flavor is called **wok hei** (鑊氣). This term translates to breath of the wok and refers to the complex, smoky aroma and taste imparted by stir-frying food in a well-seasoned, very hot wok. Achieving wok hei involves high heat, proper seasoning of the wok, and quick, skillful cooking techniques.

We were so sad when are favorite south san jose Chinese reasturant after 28 years of delicious food retired. But so excited when we saw the reasturant sign taste of China in Morgan Hill. Amazing food, they are back with generous portions and super friendly staff. Welcome to morgan Hill

This 4 course meal with appetizer for 2 people was very unpleasant; the chicken in the orange chicken dish AND the chicken salad all tasted old and tough, as tho it had been cooked several times— the chicken salad dressing AND the Beef with broccoli were so heavily salted, we couldn’t eat it. The chicken chow mein was okay but the chicken was tough—- and the spring rolls were decent, but the sauce had no flavor and was barely sweet. The bill came to $84.00. This is NOT any representation of the Taste of China in San Jose— they are WORLDS apart. We will never return to this one in Morgan Hill!!

I was really disappointed because I ordered Lemon chicken and rice to go. Just like most Chinese restaurants they had the bag tide so when I got home, I noticed that they didn’t get me any of the lemon sauce that goes over the chicken. I was really bummed because I was looking forward to it. The chicken tasted pretty good, but I’m sure it would’ve been much better if I had the lemon sauce to go with it. It wasn’t cheap either.I may go again, but I heard there was another Chinese restaurant that was really good. I just don’t feel like it fair to judge since I didn’t have the lemon sauce.

Super friendly people here and the food is amazing! So glad we have a fresh new place serving Chinese food. It’s a small hole in the wall place serving Big Restaurant food and service. Please help support this wonderful new addition to our community

So happy to get in on a Saturday night, it was early so it got busier right when we left. My 97 year old grandma has been going on and on about this place. As soon as we walked in, one of the owners (Im guessing) greeted her warmly and remembered her so of COURSE that was a big plus. We ordered the Wor won ton, chicken chow fun and beef w/ jalapeños & vegetables. Everything was delicious, fresh and piping hot. A few ladies checked on us frequently to make sure we were good.The biggest reason Im making a point to write this review is because of how much it touched my heart that the same lady that greeted us so warmly, walked us out and proceeded to walk my grandma ALL the way down to the end of the mall while I moved the van so it was easier for her to get in.I had to snap a pic b4 I started driving. I mean, how kind was that. Wish I could post it here.Taste of China I wish you all the success in the world, thank you for going above and beyond.

Food was excellent! The service was fast and they are super friendly!!Food is family style which is nice! Definitely will be my family’s go to spot for Chinese food!!!So happy to finally have a really good Chinese restaurant in Morgan hill!

A South San Jose favorite has opened up in South Morgan Hill! Taste of China is amazing. They are the one of the only place left that makes my favorite soybean noodle dish. The servings are generous and the taste is amazing. I moved to Gilory from San Jose in 2021. Chinese food choices are lacking here and in Morgan Hill. We tired a couple of places in Morgan hill we paid over $140 and barely got any protein and the Togo trays were so small. The food was greasy and both places. The taste was okay. I am so happy and excited to have Tatse of China, one of my favorite restaurants to open up in my new ho.etown area! Please support them and give them a try. I got my noodle dish yesterday for my mom and I and I was so happy. So delicious.so yummy. Please give them some love. They are next to Lawsons bakery!!!
