Indonesians must come here!Bought a $9 combo with 2 entrees and a big portion of rice. The food was delicious and well priced in my opinion. Their tempe is delicious and you could also buy the fresh/frozen tempe. Recommended!

Great and delicious Indonesian food! I ordered the Mie Ayam. Yum 😋. It consisted of yellow egg noodles with chicken and mushrooms. They also throw in a small meatball soup. At $10.00 plus tax, its a little higher than what i normally pay for lunch but still very good food. Go get some!

Amazing little mom and pop Indo restaurant, rare gem in San Bernardino! The food is very authentic and delicious and the price is also very good, they stuff so much food in the container, each combo is at least 2 full meals. Definitely try the fried tempeh and tofu, always fresh and crisp

Great Indonesian food. This place is worth the visit. Food reasonable price. I ate my lunch at the shop and serveral order to go plate for my family.Serves beef rendang, indo fried chicken and vegan options. Vegan dishes include yellow curry with potato, kale, spicy tofu/tempeh stew and fried tofu.Bad.. Place could use a good floor mopping. Table need a wipe down. Store located in sketchy neighborhood.

A hole-in-the-wall experience (in the best way possible!)They also have an AMAZING vegan beef dish made with jack fruit. The taste is spot on—savory, sweet, and salty...perfect umami!The restaurant lady was super helpful and nice, and she gave us generous servings when we bought food to-go from the a la carte food line!There were several customers speaking Indonesian with the restaurant lady, and The whole place has a homie vibe to it.Highly recommend!

Oh mannn, was this good! I’m writing this on Nov. 5th, 202, the day I first had Indonesian food and I was EXTREMELY impressed. Every time I go to a new spot I always ask the person helping me to choose their favorites to help me decide… The staff (and another ultra nice customer) helped me. I got the Rendang (left) and I forgot the other side. 🤦🏽‍♂️ But damn, was this so good.I am definitely going to be coming back and telling others of this place. If I wasn’t so full I’d try everything they have to offer!

The food here is so cheap and so delicious! Plus they give you huge portions. 3 types of rice to choose from (regular, coconut or turmeric). A two item combo cost $7.30 and it was enough food for my lunch and my dinner. I got my family and coworkers to try the tempeh and they all said it was so good even though they were skeptical. I highly recommend everyone tries this place at least once!

Don’t judge the book by its covers. This eatery might look like a rundown but its the best tasting indonesian food I had in USA. Its like your own mom cooking for you. Whenever I visit in san bernardino, I religiously eat here almost every day. Your staple indonesian cuisine - tempeh, tofu, gado gado, siomay and cold refreshments like es campur. Price wise - unbeatable. Rice and 1 viand for 6 usd, 2 viands 7 usd, 3 viands 8-9 usd. The 1 viand portion is good for 2 persons even.

The best spicy food I have ever eaten. The location is unassuming, the ambiance very basic but the food heavenly. Variety of proteins in addition to veggie/ vegan spicy food. Great takeout. Foodies MUST. This place is definitely a hidden gem. An oasis of great Asian food!! Not only do they have super tasty Indonesian food, but their enormous portion sizes match no other. It is super cheap as well!! Everything they have on display is worth trying.

OMG!!! This place has THEE best Indonesian food on the planet!! Very authentic and just bomb. Words can’t explain.... Just get up, put your shoes on, hop in your car ( or the bus) which ever one, and give them a try. A friend introduced me to this place last year. The friend is from Malaysia originally & she assures me that the food at Tempe House is authentic & some of the best in the area. I have to agree. A gem of a find in San Bernardino CA. There was an Indonesian customer who posted out the different kinds of dishes and said, theyre all delicious! I tried most of them and indeed, they are! The staff are friendly and they will give samples so you can try the dishes. The portions are generous! Go there hungry!

My 2nd time visiting this restaurant. Always get ala carte take out for few items here so I can stock up for few days. This is an Indonesian homemade food so nothing fancy just everyday food that your mom cook back in Indonesia. A homesick remedy for me. The lady is super nice and I really like their tempe, combo also lapis Surabaya. If you want their fries stuff, come in around 1pm so you got it when its still hot.

I was excited to try their foods as I had not eaten certain kind of Indonesian foods for so many years. I bought yellow rice & coconut rice with 3 sides each. I was very disappointed with both rice. Both were tasteless, almost like regular white rice. The fried chicken was ok, a bit tasteless too, could put more spices. The sambal goreng kentang, tempe dish & the spicy chicken were probably the best. The rendang was kinda watery, tasted ok. The pukis was horrible, it was stale. I didn’t recommend their kastengel. Their nastar was ok, but pretty pricy. $10 for a small container. The same price for kastengel. Overall I was disappointed with their foods.

Whenever Im in the area I always stop by. Its always the hole in the wall places that have the best food. The first time I had Indonesian food was here. The food is delicious and if your not sure about the taste of something they let you sample. Great selection of vegetables and meats. I usually hate kale but the kale dish here is amazing. And WoW they really hook it up with the portions!!!

A lot of variety buffet. Not a fancy place. Food was delicious and the lady behind the counter was polite and informative when I asked about the difference dishes. Lynch cost me about 8 bucks for a 2 item combo.Of the 3 rice options they have my favorite was the yellow one.

My first visit to Tempe House occurred today and I must say I am very pleased. The service I received was amazing! I had never had Indonesian cuisine before so I was asking lots of questions and the wonderful woman working, whom I assume is the owner, patiently answered them and gladly gave me samples of all of the vegan dishes without me asking. I ended up getting the potatoes, spicy tempe, a coconut curry soup with vegetables, and turmeric rice. I also ordered these fried tempeh strips that reminded me of chicharrones. I was in heaven. I will definitely be back and I am so grateful to have stumbled upon this hidden gem in San Bernardino.

Great flavors, lots of food, we were able to sample it, and the total bill was less than $50 feeding a party if 4, with 3 drinks, and ordered to go on top of that with dessert! Our family is Indonesian and weve eaten Indo food in the San Gabriel Valley but we all agreed that we liked this one more! A tip we learned when eating late is that the food (minus rendang and a few others) that are in the hot holding area is 50% after 7:30!

Came here for the first time for my birthday dinner. We found out about this place from the Oriental market in Loma Linda. Im a huge fan of Tempe so clearly this was a place to be checked out. They indeed have a plethora of tempe dishes as well as jackfruit and tofu dishes. Everything was delicious and wonderful. We are so glad to have discovered this place. The tofu kind of had a squeaky texture which was so good! They also sell there Tempe for 1.25 for 4oz which is an amazing deal. Everything in the picture cost less than 9.50. my husband and I split the plate and still had leftovers!

This place is so awesome! Im not a fan of spicy food however all of the food is so flavorful here. I suffer through the heat with a large cup of ice water LOL. I seem to continue to get the same things because Im so in love with it; the kale, the Jackfruit, the potatoes and stinky beans, all of the rice is tasty too. They offer yellow, turmeric, and Jasmine rices and you certainly have to try the fried Tempe. The Jasmine tea that comes in a little jucie box is not only cute its tasty with not too much sugar. Its never been extremely crowded during my visits, although I always order to go they offer dine in seating. This place is certainly a hidden gem here in San Bernardino.

Came here over the weekend for my birthday. Easily made reservations online through OpenTable. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. Once they found out we were there for my birthday they put a candle on the panna cotta dessert =)The food we ordered was delicious, and their sliced bread went really well with all the sauces in the dishes too!I definitely plan to come back again =)

Around this area this week so decided to try this famous place.What they call rendang is far from rendang...is too watery, too sweet. For the kalee veggies is good. Nasi kuning and nasi uduk is just like that...not that good. Chicken woku woku is okay.Order es tape but honestly only feel like 3 pcs small tape..i guess they smash the tape into very thiny pieces but really i dont feel eat es tape.

I definitely recommend this place for Indonesian food in Loma Linda & San Bernardino CA 92354 area. The place is a bit below average but the food is good, especially Tempe goreng which is my favorite. Gado-gado is not that good however.

I bought fresh raw tempeh here. It is difficult to get freshly raw tempeh. Usually the one in the market were frozen one. The have spicy authentic indonesian food which are so yummy.

The Tempe dish was equivalent to the best Tempe dish that we regularly used in the Netherlands, excellent. The sajur lodeh is highly recommended and the rendang just good. Took a photo of the location to recognize it again.
