Wife suggested this to me today. We ordered takoyaki, egg roll, eel rice bowl, and sea food ramen. It was fabulous. Appetizers where fresh and hot. And entrees where delicious as well. Staff was wonderful as well

We had a great meal! This place is a hidden gem and I am glad it hasn’t been overrun by Otaku yet. It’s only a matter of time until they find it - it’s pretty close to the only daiso in the area. Delicious and reasonable pricing, it has been a long time since I’ve had a good priced eel bowl or a generous helping of bonito on takoyaki. For that matter, it’s been quite a while since I’ve had soft shell crab too.My wife got the spicy miso ramen and it did not disappoint! The eggs were a perfect medium, the noodles had the right amount of springiness and the broth was rich.It’s an unassuming place, but the decor is nice and they have a small wine and beer bar with a lot of selection.

DO NOT MISS OUT on this location. Happened into this ramen shop by chance during lunch time. The decorative ambiance is well considered with lots to look at. The benches are comfortable, the sounds of the kitchen are a nice break from loud music. The service is fast, attentive and was immediately welcomed by the chef and servers.The spicy ramen was just right. Not to hot, but just enough to satisfy a heat craving. The soup had nice amounts of fat and flavor. Very pleased with this satisfying dish.The menu is not overwhelming. Just the right amount of items to mix it up at each visit. You can tell someone really thought about all the elements here.I will definitely be back again for more with my friends and family. Or, maybe takeout. Yum!

First time Ive been in a Japanese restaurant that does not have wasabi. They have fresh fish but they dont have wasabi! Anyway.. I would say that the food is mid-level. Not bad and not good. Its alright. We ordered spicy tuna, but it lacked flavour. Their Ten Gu Ramen is also lacking. The broth is okay, I get that they are trying to do a lighter broth because in Japan there are certain regions that make this however it just lacks characteristics. Chashu pork is thin. I feel like they are on ration.With all that being said the Service is good though. Not great but good. Employees here are polite and they just do their thing.Atmosphere is okay. The arrangements of seats is a little bit off for me

The atmosphere has good intentions but is misleading. The ramen itself was alright, the broth didnt have full body and was lacking depth but the noodles were nice. The meat is dry unfortunately but the spam masubi is quite good 👍🏼. Their selections of sake are great, and I was able to enjoy one bottle during my visit, but there were no wow factors.

This is a small and cozy restaurant with great ramen noodle dishes. This was my first time here and the cashier was very help to instruct me and create the perfect Curry Udon for me.

LOVED this food! I am Military currently stationed at Pendleton and lived in Japan for 3 years back in 2010. I felt the nostalgia as I ate my miso which had SO much seafood.I was actually running errands, and when I finally picked it up, I had the bag in a bad place on my car seat.....so when I made a hard turn, it fell over! I LITERALLY stopped, picked up what spilled and when I got home and reheated, it was STILL so good.Great atmosphere too.I WILL be back to dine IN next time!

I was really excited to try this... However both broths we tried had very little flavor. The toppings were scarce and above average price even compared to higher end ramen spots. I dont want to bash, I just wasnt impressed by anything there especially for the price. The only compliment Im able to come up with other than the nice server we had is the pork chashu was good and the portion on that was also pretty good. I just dont think Ill give this spot another shot unfortunately with Gonzo right down the road.

Awesome place that is open later than anyone out there! Best spot to get an eel bowl that hits the spot! Next time Im going to try a small with extra eel! Wife says the thin noodles were amazing and the broth was perfect. Just the right amount of everything in the ramen!

Great food. Spices and ingredients are fresh and service is excellent. Very close to authentic Japanese ramen except noodles do not seem handmade.Second to last bite, sliver of metal from a steel brush ended up in my mouth. Staff apologized profusely and offered 20% discount. Accidents happen but Im very glad I didnt swallow that. Cook needs to slow down and have some attention to detail.Otherwise, fantastic dining experience and reasonably priced for California.

Delicious ramen, spring rolls, croquette. They have one sushi roll on the menu called the rock n roll and it is so good. Love how the place is decorated. Gives it a nice vibe while you enjoy your food.

Tonkatsu Ramen does not taste like authentic tonkatsu ramen that I am used to like in any restaurant that I get tonkatsu ramen.I ordered dried noodle dish and the noodles were still very firm and could have made the noodles more softer. I always eat out on ramen places and noodles are always my favorite and I can definitely tell the food was rushed.We got the food right away, and i was surprised on how quickly it got cooked. I prefer to wait out a little longer for a better quality noodle. Again this is just my opinion about the place and I am not recommending itServer seems to rush I had to stop them from taking my me u because I was not done yet with my orders lol.In terms of the place its nice and cozy feeling, very clean and organize.

OMG!!! I just had their food and it was delicious!!!! It was the chachu Ramen and pork cutlet. I got it to go and I will say the quality in taste and ingredients was amazing. Furthermore, the details in their to go products is unmatched. They carefully placed all ingredients in a separate container, above the soup. From the quality of the to-go bowl to the way the utensils are organized was so unique and carefully detailed. Also, their Tai Tea is bomb! Their cups are also super nice and sturdy. Awesome job guys! I SOOOO recommend this restaurant to all who desire a delicious Ramen meal! Oh and their “slow cooked” egg is actually…. SLOW COOKED! Yoooooo please don’t change that, don’t get lazy on us. I’m telling you there isn’t a place near here that actually has slow cook eggs in their ramen. I will most definitely be coming here over sunshine ramen from now on!

Its the best Ramen Ive had in the US. Ive eaten ramen all over Japan. This place is a solid Japanese 6 out of 10. But for the US its about as good as your gonna get.

Ramen lovers don’t miss this place! Great flavors happening in the meat and broth. The only place in North County Coastal that I have seen flavor the soft egg. Get here before it becomes too popular.

Well-made ramen bowls and above average for the area. The chicken used for the ramen was chicken thigh, which is what I would want in any ramen dish. The spicy version is spicier than I expected, and the addition of corn is not necessary, but Im sure it will make ramen lovers of people new to it. Make sure to try the thick noodle option.

The food is so so good. I got the chashu ramen and it had so much flavor. Every other ramen place Ive tried only put one thick piece of pork, which I cant stand. This place put so many pieces of thinner cut pork that when I thought I ate all the meat there was still another piece.

I recently visited for dinner and I had an amazing experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive to my needs and requests. I appreciated the timing of the appetizer and main dish, as I didnt have to wait long for either.I ordered the pork chashu ramen with a side of bok choy. The flavors of the ramen broth were outstanding, and I especially enjoyed the noodles which were the highlight of the dish. The texture and flavor of the noodles were just right. Also, so much delicious food!The atmosphere of the restaurant was comfy and nice, with a cozy feel despite its smallish size. Overall, this is my new favorite ramen place and I cant wait to go back and tell others about it.In summary, I highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying ramen experience with great service and a cozy atmosphere.

Me and my wife just had probably the best ramen we’ve ever had here the broth is amazing and the pork belly melts in your mouth, the staff were very kind and helpful. Definitely recommend the spicy miso ramen

Made a quick spur of the moment decision to try this place for some lunch. Looks like its brand new. As soon as I walked in, you cant see the cooking area and I couldnt see any servers but they saw me and I heard a friendly chorus of hellos and welcomes. I ordered the spicy miso ramen with chicken and a Thai iced tea. Two girls kept swapping back and forth to check on me. It seemed one of the girls was more experienced and helping the other one a little, but they were very friendly and attentive. The ramen was great, spicy and a large portion. I barely ate half and brought the rest home. I had about half my iced tea and asked for more and a to go cup, but it was already served in a to go cup with sealed top which was cool I got a new cup. Figured Id just get some disposable plastic one. Anyway, she refilled it and I was on my way. I dont get up to that neighborhood often but will probably stop in again when I am.

My family has eaten here a few times. This was the first time I had gone in and ordered food. The staff was nice and helpful. Their to-go bag was a tote and not some cheap bag. Very nice.

Happened to stumble upon this newly opened ramen shop in Oceanside and I was pleasantly pleased with my experience at Ten Gu Ramen.We decided to dine-in for dinner and enjoyed everything they had to offer.The interior decor was extremely immersive, with gigantic wall-to-wall wallpaper depicting a kind of Tokyo City Street Bar vibe and a Japanese Anime soundtrack playlist bumping for ambiance.There were also Asian character figurines and other assorted decorations which all accentuated to the experience of being in an authentic ramen shop.The service was attentive, friendly and very accurate. They made sure to read our orders back to us to confirm and answered all of our questions patiently. The only time they lagged in speed is when they got swamped with groups at around 7:00pm and we understood it wasnt their fault.* they just recently opened and are still hiring for positionsOur ramen was immaculate and boasting so many flavors. Their heat index scale is very flexible and accurate, so if you like a GOOD spicy heat, want the burn, but also keep the flavor, order a 5 (scaled 1 to 10) or Medium heat.You can also select thick udon noodles or the thing style. After trying both, the portions are both fantastic and filling, so just go with the texture you love the most.* On a side note, it was a little odd that when we requested extra eggs as sides for our ramen, we received them BEFORE the ramen arrived, but I now know to request them to be served WITH the food instead.Edamame was perfectly salted.Spring rolls were nice & hot with tasty sweet sauce and crispy to the bite.We didnt order beer or sake, but their Thai tea is A MUST! Not just because it tastes great, but because it comes in the coolest TO-GO cup with a lid, that is perfect for re-use. Its also HUGE!!Their bathrooms were very clean and it was just an overall excellent dining experience and Im happy that TEN GUN RAMEN has joined the Oceanside Food Scene.

Let me start by saying I’ve been to Tokyo, Hiroshima and Okinawa and had ramen at all three cities. This place is right on par.The spicy miso ramen doesn’t hold back. A great amount of spice and the broth is phenomenal. They even provide an entire boiled egg instead of only a half like most places.The staff is super attentive and friendly. I’ll absolutely be back!

Finally found a good ramen place in San Diego county. My boy and I got spoiled on kitikata ramen from Buena Park so it was really hard to find a good spot until now! Shoyu ramen was on point. Clear and clean tasting broth. Chasu was tasty and tender. 5stars
