2023-07-30 07:22:24Tenori was pretty good! I was a little underwhelmed with how much filling there was and the lack of labeling so you are stuck just biting into the onigiri to figure out which filling it has. However, their menu has a good variety and I feel as though there is something there for everyone. Their bundle deal is a great option for trying different fillings, and it is offered at a good price.Service was good. Cashiers were friendly, and the staff cooking made our food pretty quick.Would definitely say Tenori is worth a try if you are in Rodeo 39.

2023-07-10 17:04:59Spicy Tuna could be a little spicier, but their onigiri was solid. 15 minute wait for our order so we just walked around ordering food from other vendors and came back once it was ready.

2023-09-06 04:07:40It ‘s a small shop in a food court center of a super busy plaza on Beach Blvd, hard to find parking. They have different kinds of “onigiri” (Japanese seaweed rice cakes). We went there once a year ago on a weekend, the line to order was so long so it took us more than an hour to order/get our onigiries but they were so good, worth the wait. This time was on a weekday, no line no wait, but we were kinda disappointed, they were still tasty but the rice was still hardened at some spots, they tasted like being in the refrigerator overnight and not reheated long enough, not fresh like the first time. I thought when they were slow, they should have more time to prep the food to make it better but no… hope not experiencing this again. We like “spicy salmon” ones the most (to me, not spicy at all or just only a touch), they are good snacks/appetizers, they taste better than they look

2023-08-20 00:34:09Yummy!! The best onigiri I’ve ever had personally!Rice is yummy and the outside is savory and crispy. Fillings are good too. The little papers wraps are what label each one btw!

2023-05-05 05:48:59We got lucky and only waited total of 40minutes. We tried the pork belly 4*, spicy tuna 4*, KBBQ 3.5*, and spam 3*. We would return but only if line is under 30mins. Otherwise, unmotivated to wait in line for these.

2022-09-12 01:11:20Located in Rodeo 39. I love musubis so had to try onigiri which is white rice formed in a triangle wrapped with nori and stuffed with various cooked items. I ordered the spicy salmon, spicy tuna, KBBQ and pork belly. So delicious and glad to see that it had a good amount of filling and they didnt skiMp out. Tasted so good and would definitely order these again.

2021-12-04 05:40:57Food: 3/5Service and Setting: 3/5Value: 3/5I really wanted to like this more than I did, but maybe my expectations were too high. I love rice balls and expect them to be super packed with flavor and fillings. While the food was not bad, for the price, I hoped for better to be very honest. If you are looking for something that is a little easier to digest, Tenori is your place when navigating the food jungle that is Rodeo 39.Honey Walnut Prawn: 4/5This definitely was my favorite of all of the rice balls that I tried. There was a good amount of filling and it was definitely honey walnut prawn. The most pronounced flavor to me was the walnut. The crispy shrimp and nuts were a good contrast to the soft rice and savory furikake coating.Mentai: 4/5This was also very good and they packed a good amount of mentaiko into the rice ball. Mentaiko, or myeong-ran in Korean, is spicy fermented pollack roe and is extremely delicious. It is spicy, savory, rich, has a strong-ocean essence, and slightly bitter/fermented. If you are not a fan of seafood this is not for you, but if you do want to try something different, I would say that Tenori offers a very good mentaiko rice ball.Pork Belly: 2/5I really did not like this one, to be frank. The meat was very sweet and tasted strongly of soy sauce. The bonito flakes on the outside helped a bit but yeah still not a fan. I felt that the flavors were very underwhelming and the intense sweetness was off putting.Lychee Lemonade: 4/5Their lychee lemonade is pretty good and a lot better than a lot of places that I have had similar drinks at. Lemonade is always pretty sweet so I won’t ding them there. The lychee flavor does not taste artificial and there is not that thick sort of syrup taste that you get when restaurants use a lychee syrup. I would not say that this drink matches their food, but it is refreshing nonetheless and I would pick one up even if I was not eating here.

2023-06-29 18:52:31Had a great time at Rodeo39 the other day. I think these fully cooked onigiri are really yummy! Rice balls come in a lot of flavors and I think my favorite was the pork belly. I found the strawberry lemonade to be too sour for me, but it was extremely flavorful.

2023-07-06 02:46:48Located inside Rodeo 39. This place gets busy for lunch. They give you a buzzer and buzz you when it’s ready. There are 8 kinds to choose from for $4 each or 3 for $11. We got two sets of 3. It’s filling because it’s made up of mainly rice.-pork belly - I usually like anything pork belly but this was just one big piece of meat. It wasn’t tender and I couldn’t bite into it. So my first bite was just all meat and the rest was left with rice.-spicy tuna - not as good as the spicy salmon-tuna w mayo - I am normally not a tuna fan but this combo was one of my favorite. It was cooked tuna.-spicy salmon - My favorite. The portions and flavors were right on.-Kbbq - This was the most consistent because it was shredded meat and it had saucy flavor. Each bite had rice and meat.-honey walnut shrimp - Came with 2 pieces of honey walnut shrimp. I was able to take each bite with a piece of shrimp and rice but the proportions were not even so I was left with more rice in the end.We got all 6 to sample, realistically, two will get me full but half the 6 so technically I had 3 and the rice kept me full the entire day.

2023-10-09 16:17:39This is not very good. And it’s not cheap either. The extra rice for poke is 3$ ya it’s generous but it needs rice & sugar. Flavor. The poke has no flavor either it needs salt, citrus yuzu something anything?! The Onigiri is good the furikakya is good but the literally use a seaweed snack?!?! Not even real seaweed so it breaks down very easy. The lemonade was really good and refreshing. Spent like 25$ on sad poke, rice and onigiri :(
