Cious, Simple, and Fast! Tried this teriyaki place for the first time. It is definitely a comfort food and anyone will like this food. Service is good, fast, and staff is very friendly. Place is clean.We tried 3 bentos. You can pick between white or brown rice, protein, salad, and fruit. All the meats are tender, have the perfect amount of sweetness, and portion is pretty good.They are out of the soft serve ice cream when we went, so will definitely come back for the ice cream and other dishes 😁

Atmosphere is okay but maybe cuz I went at night. May try again in daytime. Prices are really great. Food is pretty good. Clean place. The neighborhood is not really that great. I think better to go in the daytime. Parking to go to this place is not easy. You have to go all the way down past In-N-Out restaurant very far down. Then make a u-turn so you can get to the left side of the road to finally get into their parking which is complicated to get to.

New spot, fairly affordable for basic bowls and bento boxes. Had the garlic butter chicken - nice sauce! Husband had the spicy chicken and steak instead, both tasted fine. For the price, its a good deal.

Dropped by opening weekend. The parking was bad as their was a crowd and the lot was small. Quite a few customers parked at the Kelly Moore paint parking lot. Not sure how thats going to be in the long term.The service was okay. The food was average. I thought the portion size was a bit small however. We ordered the ribeye and chicken bowl. One with white rice and one with brown rice. We also ordered the Lion King bowl. This took a few mins longer to come out, but we thought it was strange that it was just a bit warmer than room temperature. As I mentioned before the food was okay. Solid 3 stars.

Thank goodness for GPS. Otherwise I’d be so lost on 238/580/880 to get here. It had ample parking and even stated that you can park in the next lot after 5pm.The counter was clean and the staff was quite friendly. Many choices but I decided on the short ribs, chicken and ribeye bento. Salad and the orange slice took half the bento. However, I was surprised with their meats. For a “fast food” place, the meats were done right. The chicken was quite tender and the short ribs were full of flavor. Ribeye wasn’t bad either. And they got the rice the way I wanted - not clumped together.Now that I know the food is good, I will likely visit the Pleasanton one that’s close by.

This is the best teriyaki restaurant I had in years. The chicken has the perfect tenderness and flavor. The sauce is not too sweet or salty, just perfect. This is truly a healthy bowl with your choice of white steam rice or organic brown rice, which I picked and it was wonderful. I felt healthy after eating there. Not too much or too little, just right. Ive been there five times now and every time it brings me back for more. Their ribeye steak is also one of my favorite, its so good and flavorful. I often bring back some food for my husband and hes a picky eater, and he also likes it. I really like this place alot and hope they stay in business for a long time. Its close to my home and glad they came into the neighborhood.

I decided to go to their new location at San Lorenzo. I’d say that the place is quite smaller compared to the one at Pleasanton. Speaking of that, the food portion is a little smaller. They just need to add a little rice and veggies. On top of that, the bowl costs around $13. I had more when I went to the one at Pleasanton.Besides that, I like how healthy the food is especially when they take care of them properly as well as having good service here.

Came here and watched a football game and enjoyed a good rice bowl. I recommend the steak bowl and the salmon bowl and the lion king bowl. I didn’t like the chicken too much as it was kinda bland. Affordable prices and portions are filling. The staff is friendly and they keep the pace pretty clean.

The prices are good and food is good. The only reason I couldn’t give a better review is because they have specials that they don’t advertise. It seems like the promos are created on the spot and theirs no way for customers to know what the promos are because they’re not offered to each customer nor are they posted anywhere in the store. Instead of a restaurant, it’s run like a high school class project. Hopefully The business becomes more professional with time.

Tried this place out for the first time, the food was delicious. The restaurant was clean inside and the service was awesome, very helpful staff and quick service. As long as we were in their eating it had a steady line of customers. There were 3 of us in our group, we ordered the chicken rice bowl, the rib eye rice bowl and the bento box with chicken, rib eye steak and substituted the salad and fruit for the dumplings, and it was all delicious and the amount was plentiful in fact 2 of us brought left overs home. We will definitely go back and tell others about this place. As far as the parking goes we didn’t have one bit of a problem.

Lizzy f shouldn’t be answer the phones or helping with any customer service. I called to place an order, and when she answered the phone She didn’t even say the companies name it was quiet and after a few minutes, she said hello nothing else. So I asked if it was Teriyaki city Grill and if I could place an order, I tried to give her my phone number. She had complications with that and she hung up the phone on me. I then called back and she answered and just said hello not the companies name again or how can I help you? And I said to her I think just hung up on me and she just said yes. So she purposely knew that she hung up on me very irritating. I placed my order And when I got there I asked the guy at the front Where is the girl that took my order and I guess she was in the back and then when she came out front she was smiling and smirking because she overheard me telling the guy at the front what happened on the phone. I didn’t get the guys name, but he gave excellent customer service and even offered me a free sample of something. I hope I never have to deal with Lizzy f again!! Usually the customer service it great.

Think of this like a Japanese inspired version of Panda Express. The format is the same, quick service, reasonably priced Asian food but with items like chicken or beef teriyaki, rice, steamed veggies. Its a good option if you need something quick or maybe to fill a weeknight dinner instead of cooking. Food looks made fresh to order. They have a Lion Roll bake, similar to a sushi bake but with salmon, imitation crab and avocado. This was pretty good but they charge per pack of nori/seaweed. A sushi bake goes hand in hand. They should throw in one or two packs with the order. Its only $1 per pack, but there arent many sheets of seaweed included. The restaurant itself is new and clean. Good amount of seating. Its pretty easy to miss their parking lot entrance. By the time I realized it, I had passed it but parked in the dental office lot. It was a Saturday afternoon and they looked closed anyway. But just a tip, to keep an eye out so you dont miss the entrance.

This new place in San Lorenzo is very great, the food is amazing not only one item but the whole entire menu is amazing and the customer service is very awesome. That lion king bowl is beautifully made, it fulfilled my taste buds to the max. 10/10 would recommend.

“Mixed Experience at Teriyaki City Grill”Teriyaki City Grill at 488 Lewelling Blvd, San Lorenzo, CA 94580, caught my attention with its grand opening, and we even had a coupon from USPS. However, reaching the location proved a bit challenging, and parking was a feat.Entering the restaurant, the atmosphere was pleasant, but the customer service was a letdown. The cashier seemed disinterested, giving off negative vibes that affected our overall experience. Whether due to a lack of staff or burnout, it left us feeling uncomfortable.On a positive note, the food arrived swiftly and efficiently, but the pricing was on the higher side compared to other teriyaki restaurants we frequent. Despite the good food, the need for significant improvement in customer service and the relatively high prices might make me reconsider returning.

I had the teriyaki bowl meal, tastes good and portion size is great for the price. They even include a drink. Got to try the spicy chicken the next time. Parking is an issue though, make sure you keep that in mind that you may not find easy parking.

So happy to have a teriyaki place in town to add to our weekly food rotation.My family had the Steak and Chicken family Pack and Lion King Bowl. We also had a side of short ribs that were to die for. Super tender super delicious and very good portions. Definitely recommend!

Parking isnt good, risky area!Bento box is a joke, claimed to be spectacular which is not, not enough salad veggies or fruit as promised?sliced orange peel not considered healthy fruit? Tho your better off getting a teriyaki bowl which is good vs a lozy bento box 🍱 👎 they need to revamp the bento box...it may take time?

Having driven by this location in the Schoolbus every day for the past year or so I was so excited to see it open today, with a line out the door. So much so, that after work at 9:30pm I decided to give it a try. While the line was still out the door, it moved quickly. The menus are clear and simple, with just the right amount of options. Moving up to the counter I was greeted with a very friendly cashier, who took my order with a great smile.Waiting for my to go order, I looked around the interior and appreciated how clean and simple the decor was. Mostly posters showing their catering options, and of the beautiful baked Lion King Bowl, which Ill have to come back for. There were only maybe 8-10 small tables, but with the small parking lot this will likely be more of a grand to-go pick-up location. Along with the typical soda fountain and tea carafe, there was a self-serve teriyaki sauce dispenser!I ordered a Chicken and Ribeye bento box combo (Bento B) for myself and the Short Rib, Chicken, & Ribeye bento box combo (Bento E) for my girl, and some potstickers, er, dumplings to share. The chicken was good - while perhaps not as much white meat as an American restaurant, was definitely leaner than your typical Hawaiian cafe, or even most Japanese restaurants. The Ribeye was to die for! It was super lean and tender, and glazed with a yummy sweet sauce. I didnt try the short ribs, but my girl said they were tender and yummy. The dumplings had cooled by the time we had got to them, but they had a nice filling with more vegetables than we are used to - quite a refreshing upgrade for the heavy, all meat dumplings you find in the freezer section of your grocery store.OK, now to be honest, I can imagine youll see some reviewers saying there could have been more flavor. It was perfect for us - but to put things in perspective, well, were middle-aged vanilla people. While we think places like Chevys is too Americanized, we prefer the lean and clean meals from places like Metro Taquero than a more traditional taqueria. If you want super authentic Teriyaki, this may or may not be your cup of tea. But if you want consistent, lean, tender teriyaki thats easy on your wallet, and your tummy, then Teriyaki City Grill is most definitely for you! Bon Appétit!!

Some ppl trippin, this is good light & healthy. Good choices to pick from as well. Some ppl just want nothing but fattening food. Lol parking is the only problem but its what ever, cuz u got next door at kelly-moore.. 😁Btw my spouse & i got the steak/teriyaki w/brown rice wt. veggies. I loved it. I would go again. Just came here and there was literally more people waiting for their food than any other place Ive ever seen in my life and theres extreme amount of workers just doing nothing I feel bad leaving this review but just dont waste your time it smells extremely unpleasant in there as well its hard to get access to the parking lot and when you do theres no parking and its full of nasty trash

We donated food there and brought it with us. We saw them cooking, but it was very dirty. They were friendly, but not hygienic. They also gave us the wrong food. The price was cheap, but the food was not worth the price.
