Teriyaki Grill in Chula Vista

What a lovely, CLEAN, casual atmosphere on 3rd Avenue!The employees are kind and attentive and the food is freshly prepared but... The portions were very disappointing.We enjoyed a very tasty salmon bento box but... for $18+ you would expect to get a decent portion of rice to go with the salmon filet (decent portion of salmon but I was struggling to find any rice or Teriyaki sauce on the plate! See picture.) The vegetables were delicious!!! Only two, tiny fried gyoza come on a small bed of mixed salad. The ginger dressing for the salad is served separately and was good but it was so much compared to the amount of salad you get.The actual white plate that the food comes on is huge and adds to the illusion that the food portion is small, which it totally is. It did not scream bento box.The lemongrass curry sauce on the wings was super yummy even though the wings could have been much crispier. They have canned sodas, canned Thai tea and green tea, Sapporo and other beers.I would reluctantly go back to try some other menu items but I wont expect good portions.

Mediocre food, took forever to get here.We got the knucklehead sandwich (I asked for no egg) and the teriyaki burger. They couldnt bring both meals at same time, and at the end the food was extremely mediocre.

The first time I ordered to go from this place and food was awesome, one of the best teriyakis Ive ever tried. If you are looking for a tasty and delicious teriyaki, I highly recommend this place. The plate I ordered is called bento combination.

Meeting to have family dinner and 🍻. Always friendly service. Loved the fresh squash this time.Super tasty, and the proverbial cherry 🍒 on top was dessert. Abuelitas Flan with fresh strawberry OMG GOOD 👍

Loved my Teriyaki Salmon. Will be back most definitely to try other dishes.

The food was incredible as well as comforting, not to mention on point & beautiful. Someone once told me food enters first through the eyes and today I finally saw it happen as it was steaming and perfectly arranged.I cannot say a single bad thing about the place the prices were on point and fair as well as welcoming. I didnt felt rushed or bothered by the waiter as she waited for me with a smile a very lovely energy. I will return and enjoy probably the same thing as it was simply perfect lol. But I do recommend yall try the other stuff in the menu since they sound just as good :) .PS. 12/27/18Today I went back and did ordered the same but I got also the Japanese tuna device and it was simply glorious so rich in flavor and unbelievably beautiful as well as spicy, the dish itself is so sophisticated and yet simple, will update and keep posting more updates in regards of what I try here lol.

We go to this place several times a month due to their great fresh food and good prices. I always order a chicken teriyaki bento with double meat and my wife a tofu bento. Soooo good. This restaurant is probably in my top 10 best restaurants in Chula Vista. Highly recommended

You cant go wrong with made to order food.Always fresh. You may wait. But its worth itTeriyaki Bowl with double the meat is filling...add extra chimichura and you are good to go.

OMG... Really OMG!!! Why is this Steve sandwich so deliciously good. I went here on like a Friday or Saturday night... The music they were playing was perfect for me and my date the atmosphere was very welcoming. Then all of a sudden comes out the golden crispy bread lightly buttered with this amazingly chopped beef sandwich without hardly any fat. It was seasoned to perfection. Ive never had a sandwich so delightfully good. It came with fries but they were kinda cold .. but back to my amazing sandwich. I ordered it medium well and it was absolutely perfect in every way. That chef that night was AMAZING GGG!!! I wouldve came.back but their closed on Sundays unfortunately. You must try this place...
