My husband and I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl and imperial roll and bought a vegetarian plate for a family friend. All was very delicious, and the chicken was tender and flavorful.

Came in here 1st time since reviews were great.Came in arond 7:30 pm, no other customer.Got curry and combo #1, thai iced tea and thai iced coffee.Curry was the worst curry Ive ever had. It looked very unappetizing, and tasted just as bad. Rice was so bad as well. Way too much water when cooking rice. Mushy mushy.#1, chicken was dried out but edible. Beef was super dried out, went to the trash. Rice was same as curry.Both iced tea and coffee was super sweet, even knowing its thai version.Cashier was friendly and nice. Thats about the only positive I have of this place.Might be different during day time with different cooks. But I dont think Ill try again.

The place is an excellent spot to drop on in and grab a to-go plate. The focus is on the food and the best thing IMO is the sweet and sour pork. The blend of savoury and sour with the sweet is to die for. But one thing I’d have an issue with is the lack of vegetables in a plate. I’d still go back tho with that in mind.

Worst to call in I order my food 15 min before I got there and I show up and they want me to reorder my food and I have to wait 15 to 20 min or so longer and also of time I tryed to call and they never answer the phone and even tho they are open they are lazy

Only place in town where you can a truly filling, well rounded meal for under 10 dollars.On top of that you truly could just cover your eyes and point at the menu and youll get something good. You cant go wrong here.

The food was bad, the service was terrible, they got our order wrong, we ended up having to get a new meal to make up for it, and the table was dirty. I was really hoping to find a nice place in town to grab a healthy rice and chicken bowl but it was so bad Ill never go back. Even my daughter, whose favorite food is Teriyaki chicken, has said that she never wants to come back.

I thought the chicken salad was amazing 🤩 I would like to suggest that the option of maybe original fried wonton strips or something with crunch, be considered as an option as a topping for an additional fee or just something the salad comes with. I had some wonton strips at home and the extra crunch was amazing ☺️

For a Quick and great tasting meal its had to beat. Ive been coming here for 17 years, and it is the most consistent place I have ever eaten. I always know I will be happy with my order and get Great, Fast Service.Not the most broad menu, but for a healthy lunch or dinner that will fill you up and not break the bank its hard to beat.

The food itself is 5 Stars! Its amazing, my fiance and I just moved to Chico and have been looking everywhere for something like this and its delicious! We were fans instantly and want to keep coming, but we might try a different location. The 1 Star is for the service. Weve only been here twice and both times the girl on front was very rude!!! No hello or smile just an ugly look given to us and our change and meals thrown at us. On our last trip we tried to clean up our mess and tried to ask the girl where the trash can was to throw our trash away and she rudely responded with theres a garbage can outside and didnt even look to acknowledge us. That was enough for us to not want to come back again.

I always like this place. Combo #2 is pretty good. Lunch for one, with a drink will run you ~$10, and quality is typically decent. It can get crowded at lunch time, and there is not a ton of seating.

I had ordered a chicken bowl with an extra sauce and waited 35 minutes for my food before I had to get up and ask where it was and they never started it. Then the owner tried arguing with me about where my food was and about giving me my money back. I finally just left. will never go again!

I called ahead to place a order because I work 10 min away and was craving Japanese food. I only have a 30 min lunch break. When I called I asked first off Can you make a Chicken bowl without rice? They said yeah of course we can we just do all veggies and chicken I said perfect Ill take the Chicken bowl with the extra veggies and can I add extra chicken with sauce on the side please they again said Yes of course but for an extra charge I stated No problem Ill pay extra when I got to the reasturant the food was ready in a togo bag she read my order back Chicken bowl extra veggies and chicken sauce on the side I paid 1.75 extra for the Chicken and 1.00 extra for the Veggies. I get back to work to find 1.No extra chicken or veggies (my coworker had the same amount of both in her bowl) and RICE which was the whole reason for the extra meat and veggies. Worst part is I called and explained the situation to the girl who took my order. The manager came on the phone and said we made it the way it was put into the computer we didnt mess up please how did you not mess up when I asked for no rice? Not even a appologie only bring the food back and we can replace. I am on a timed lunch break at work that doesnt happen in the real world so basically Im out 10 dollars for a meal I couldnt hardly even eat. I will never go to this establishment again not because the food is poor quality but becaue there customer service skills are lacking.

The veggies in the veggie plate were boiled, thereby eliminating most of the flavors from the veggies, which consisted of about 92% green cabbage, 4% broccoli, and 4% carrots, all topped with a slippery and sweet sauce over hardish white rice. The tofu is fried. Inexpensive though if you just want to fill your stomach.

Called in my order half an hour early. Got thereAbd my food wasnt ready for for 15 minutes. I was not expecting much, as this super authentic japanese resturaunt was staffed by white kids. The japanese culture art? Anime posters. The cultural representation? 3 issues of costco connections magazine and a catalog for chef uniforms. When i got my food, it was unappealing to look at. I ordered the curry chicken, and was given beef. The vegetables were potatoes that were chunked way too big and a bite of carrot. The beef was large peices of rubbery fatty garbage, litterally, i threw it away. What remained was not exactly enough curry sauce to mix with the rice they piled in. Curry sauce tasted good, but the meal was dissapointing. Im not going back.

Teriyaki is a cooking technique used in Japanese cuisine in which foods are broiled or grilled with a glaze of soy sauce, mirin, and sugar.If you get Teriyaki, from Teriyaki House, it is the best in Chico. If you prefer vegetables and tofu and dont like sweet sauce then dont give a great restaurant a poor review because you made a poor choice for a meal. Teriyaki House has wonderfully grilled and glazed meat with fresh steamed vegetables and rice cooked to perfection.
