Food was good. i got the mad spicy chicken teriyaki bowl with white rice. the heat was nice, the veggies were fresh and the rice and the sauce went well together.service was good. they seemed very busy and the cashier was trying to get in as many orders as possible. understandable though since it was still around lunch.atmosphere was like a fast food joint. i am not sure if this restaurant counts as fast food but the interior resembles a fast food joint. i had takeout so not sure how the eating experience is.overall, a good find.

My husband and I came here to eat halal chicken teriyaki. Emmanuel welcomed us, was personable, provided recommendations and even allowed us to sample some chicken to help us figure out our level of spice. He made our dine in experience extra special just by being kind and checking in on us while we ate. Our food was made fresh to order. We are super pleased and definitely plan on coming again. I just wish more items were halal like the orange chicken. The noodles and fried rice are delicious! The chicken was juicy and flavorful! Thank you Emmanuel for being so great to us! I hope your employer knows how valuable you are!

Similar to what other reviewers mentioned. The wait time is ridiculous and the employees are always rude and unhappy. You will literally have to wait 20-30 mins for your food to be ready, after u place your order. So not a good place to go. If you are going during your lunch break from work. The food itself is very good and tasty and cooked with care but the wait time alone and the unwelcoming feeling from the staff when u walk through the door. Is enough to make me not return. Ive been on 6 different occasions and the wait time is the same regardless. A minimum of 20 minute wait. If you place an order for pick-up and will not be ready on time. Unless its close to their closing time. Outside seating area is nice and clean. But if you are expecting quick service and nice, happy, welcoming employees, this place isnt for u. You can tell the people working the register dont want to be there.

It’s HALAL !! Partially.We got the Spicy Teriyaki Chicken and it wasn’t spicy at all. One large bowl was enough for two people. Regular chicken Teriyaki was fine too. Spicy Tofu was also not spicy. The food overall was good and we liked it just because it has Halal options. The noodles and rice were tasty and the chicken was delicious apart from not being spicy.

Its always nice to see vegetarian options on the menu. I like the spicy tofu yakisoba style: noodles, tofu and veggies stir fried with a little heat! If its not hot enough, you can try it Mad Spicy or add some Tabasco Sriracha. The edamame is good too.Theres a nice outside space here as well.

Ordered catering from this restaurant and while the portions are large and are relatively good value for money, the flavor falls a little short. Although it wasn’t bad by any means, the flavor could have been a little bolder and more seasoned. Similar in style to panda express.

Ordered online, food was ready on-time. Recommend downloading the app if you want BOGO deal for new users. Food was good though... a step up from Panda Express. Had the regular Teriyaki Chicken with Brown Rice. Edamame on the side. Everything tasted good and fresh. Appreciate the extra teriyaki sauce on the side. Place is kinda pricey, especially the appetizers, but worth it.UPDATE 06.30.23: Still loving this place. Teriyaki Steak might be my new favorite. Spicy Teriyaki Chicken is also good if I want a kick from regular teriyaki chicken.

Drove by at night on Montague and saw the big Teriyaki Madness sign, so of course I had to try it out. Ordered the Spicy Teriyaki chicken bowl over brown rice and veggies.The rice and veggies were excellent and on point. The chicken though, was on the tougher side, like it was precooked some time ago, then overcooked to warm it up. The spice level was appropriate and the sauce was excellent.This was around 8pm, so I presume if you come at prime dinner time (or lunch time) youll have a better chance at a properly cooked chicken meal.It was still decent, and I would give them another try if Im in the area during prime time.

Tried this place recently after seeing the construction on the plaza had completed and have to say it was pretty great. The price Id say to just be aware it is a step above chain restaurants but not a full step into a sit-down dining type restaurant. Overall, I look forward to going back again soon!

They only have a few halal options so make sure to ask upfront if youre looking for halal items.The outdoor seating is pretty aesthetic, but they also have a covered outdoor dining place with heaters.Ive tried both their Teriyaki chicken and spicy chicken bowls, and found them delicious. Veggies provided a yum undertone and the chicken was tender with tangy sauces. Have it with fried rice and not the brown.A medium serving size should be good (I tried the large once and it was too much lol).

I placed a order online for pick up. I arrived the stone on time, the staff asked me for my name and told me its gonna to take for awhile. I sit down and wait for the order to be ready. I saw her gave the order to some customers without calling the name. I have waited for more than 10 minutes, so I went to the front desk to check my order. The order had been ready, but she didnt give to me. I was so upset, I dont like cold food, that is why I never be late for pick-up, always arrive earlier or on time. I asked her why you didnt give to me, but you gave orders to other customers? She said I called the name, but I didnt hear it. She knew my name because when I came to the front desk,she recognized me and said my name. We always place the order at this store, but we were so disappointed about their customer services! Great tasting Orange Spicy Chicken bowl Yakisoba style. Just the right amount of heat. Full for flavor. Sweet and Savory. Great combination.The veggies were tender, sweet & FABULOUS. I found the loud mexican music a bit distracting in a Japanese restaurant, but to each his on own. They didnt have any water cups left, so I gave in and bought a bottled lemonade.

DONT EAT HERE! LONG AZZ WAIT TIME for PLAIN FOOD!I had a TERRIBLE experience at this store today. We put in for a pick-up Order to be picked up at 1145am today, we got there at 1150am. We didnt receive our order until 1239pm. The employees are rude and did not know how to prioritize orders (HELLO time mgmt). In fact, I asked to speak to a manager several times and the employees in the front said they the manager is busy. Multiple people got their order before us and multiple people were complaining. After SEVERAL times of asking where my order was the two girls working in the front continued to reassure me its coming, and even after my constant asking, they still reassured me its coming AFTER almost 1 hour of waiting. THIS IS NOT GOOD SERVICE!!! IF SOMEONE IS ANGRY AND IS WAITING YOU DONT MAKE THEM WAIT LONGER AND KEEP ON SAYING ITS COMING! AND YOU DONT TELL THEM THE MANAGER IS BUSY AFTER ASKING MULTIPLE TIME TO SPEAK TO A MGR! THIS IS A BAD STORE WITH BAD HORRIBLE SERVICE. TO THE STAFF: Please TRAIN your employees and those that represent your company that they need to do better processes for putting in orders in a timely manner, IF it was ordered earlier, take care of THAT first. I KNOW THIS isnt fast food, but it isnt a sit-down restaurant either with a full-blown gourmet kitchen. Waiting 1 hour for service is not acceptable. Quite unimpressive - felt like I was having food served by some office catering service. Had read good reviews so decided to try the halal items (which is commendable) but didn’t really enjoy.Got the following:- spicy chicken teriyaki which was sadly very non spicy (think 4 out of 10) and I had to add extra hot sauce. Also the vegetables on the side were just grated carrots, cucumber and cabbage. For the price, I expected some edamame, capsicum and some peas. Got some soya sauce on the side.-chicken teriyaki was ok - quite mild.The noodles were good but lacking spice. Wish they could Atleast have served some cool sauces with the food. You have to pay extra to get their “mad sauce”.

I usually come here at least once a week. I loved their teriyaki bowl with white rice and veggies. Their egg rolls were my favorite! That is until today. Not sure what was going on with the cooks, but today my eggroll was frozen on the inside and my chicken was overcooked/ burnt and dry. The worst part is that I had recommended this place to my daughter and it happened to be her first time there. We took our order to go so unfortunately I wasn’t able to address my concerns in-person.👎

Ill be honest, we came here first, ordered, and then while waiting for our food, I read some of the reviews here. Uh oh, did we make a mistake? Nope. 😁 I had the salmon, and frankly, I was disappointed I couldnt get a large. But after eating the regular size, Im good. They give you a half decent size piece of fish. 👍 I got the fried rice, and there were real egg chunks in it. Not the token pieces you get at Panda Express. And I also liked that I could get veggies with the fried rice too. Not too crowded on a Fri night, easy parking, well be back. Im curious to try the orange chicken now, and the spicy chicken.

Came here Friday night around 8 for some takeout. We live about 35 min away and food was still hot when we got home. My wife really liked the yosoba style noodles, chicken and veggies. I got the brown rice with spicy chicken and chicken katsu. Portions were huge. Enough to refrigerate overnight and have It for lunch next day. Crab rangoons were also very good. Didnt expect this place to be as good as it was. And all the chicken is HALAL bonus.

Got a sneak peek during their soft opening in Santa Clara. Have to say, one of the best teriyaki places in the bay. I tried their spicy chicken bowl with noodles, it was freshly made upon ordering, tasted A++ and portion was generous. This place was busy when I got there, but staffs were prompt and provided excellent service. I also liked the location, plenty of outdoor seating, which in these days is golden! I have been here a couple of times now and the food is always good. They give you quite a bit for the money so dont balk at the prices before you give it a try. Came from out of town and didn’t know about their Bay Area location. Prices are a bit inflated but otherwise it’s pretty good. Slightly understaffed so workers looked stressed out. Flavor however is good. Cooks know what they’re doing. The cashier was pretty nice he brought my food out to me while on a phone call. Tried this place because my family wanted to try something new.First: the customer service could be better. When we ordered a combo, it wasnt rung up. And when we said we wanted to add it, they said they couldnt any more and that the individual items would be charged non-combo price. Talk about bad customer service.Second: the teriyaki steak was very unappetizing and dry, along with their fried rice. Amazing Asian food. Highly recommend. Fried rice is def worth the extra $$. The steak teriyaki exceeded my highest expectations. Highlights: service was prompt, chicken was delicious, and the bowl was so filling. A regular size was plenty even though I’m normally a person of a larger appetite. I was taken aback by the smoky and spicy flavor of the bowl and yakisoba style was well worth the extra cost. Great little store!

This place is amazing! We got the spicy chicken with noodles and teriyaki chicken with fried rice. Both really good! They also have tasty pot stickers and egg rolls for sides. They also have Halal as an option. If you are in Santa Clara I highly recommend stopping by and give it a try. The staff is friendly and the service is great.

Pleasantly surprised! Japanese is not most myfavorite food but wasnt feeling like Chipotle, pizza or my other usual favorite cuisine today.Spicy tofu yakisoba style hit the spot. Spicy, tangy, sweet. Good ratio of noodles to tofu. I ordered regular size, and quantity was good in my opinion. I actually had trouble finishing, so towards end ate tofu+ veg and tossed remaining noodles. I even hared some with my mom, who is particular about food and she enjoyed it too. Loved texture of the tofu, not too soft with lightly browned edges.You can make it extra spicy if you wish but it was sufficient for me,, Almost too spicy toward last few bitesI got takeout, live 3-4 miles from restaurant and food was still nice and hot when I arrived home to eat.

My $14 chicken bowl with fried rice was ok because the teriyaki chicken was dry. I was expecting juicy chicken but it was tough and dry like it was sitting under s heat lamp all day. I almost got the $17 2-protein bowl - glad i didnt because I like my meat juicy. Also, this place should change its name to Tiny Teriyaki Madness because they give you a thimble (2 teaspoons) of teriyaki. I didnt see teriyaki madness but their brown butter and sea salt Marshmellow crispies are to die for!!! I might give them a 2nd try just to be sure about that chicken. I’ve been here 2 times and both times the order has taken 30 minutes to get. The first time was in person and the second order was through their app. I was quoted 15 minutes and upon arrival I inquire about the order time and I was told it would be another 15 minutes. When I asked why it takes so long I get a “we just have had a lot of orders.” Either don’t send fabricated completion times or have a better response prepared for when you don’t have the orders ready at the quoted time

Today was our first time trying this place. And the only thing good about this place was the soda because it was the only thing that didnt have to be cooked. The fried rice was really salty and mushy there was a lot of water at the bottom of my teriyaki bowl. This place should not be called teriyaki madness it should be called teriyaki sadness. Nobody wanted to cook tonight so we decided to check out Teriyaki Madness. I had the Yakisoba noodles with the teriyaki steak that was so damn good. My wife had the orange chicken with noodles and loved it. My kids loved the teriyaki steak with the white rice. We will definitely be going back sooner than later. Pick up was quick, easy and they have great customer service. I highly recommend for the teriyaki lovers out there.
