The people who serve here are strong and kind! My friend and I ordered a pad Thai and yellow curry with rice for a total of ~$35 with leftovers. Decently priced in my opinion! The servings are ample and a good place my family loves to get Thai curry from. Bless the hands who make the food and keep the place running!

Thai food did not disappoint. Some of the best Thai food I have had in a while.Ordered Pad Thai, pad see ew, garlic beef, Phad prik Phao, green curry and red curry and then shared with five people. More than enough food to share with the table.

Excellent food. The service was too fast. We were just served the soup and they served the food within 2 minutes. Would have been better to give sometime to finish the soup first. Seemed kinda rushed.But the food was really good though.

Im not an expert on Thai food but I definitely loved the food here. Easily the best Thai food in Irvine IMHO. The Tom Yum soup is one of the best soups Ive tried in any restaurant & the way they serve is great too. The pad Thai and vegetable/tofu curry was great too.May be a little pricy for a family but felt it was worth it.

This was incredible! We had a party of 4 adults and 4 kids. We went for the first time and the very next day we had to go back. We ordered different dishes both times. Love this place! Great Thai food in Irvine. The Tom Kha Kai (coconut milk soup with chicken) and the Pad Thai are my favs and the Thai iced tea is delicious! They are slow in service, only 1 pickup allowed in at a time, but its worth the wait. They are busy and its covid.. Def you should try their food!

The Sai Ua (a northern style Thai sausage) was delicious. It’s my favorite and I don’t find it on menus in So Cal often. Get it!The service was perfectly fine but lacked the Thai hospitality I’m used to. Not a big deal especially great for introverts.They didn’t have condiments on the table (dry chilis, sambal, prik nam pla, etc) but they did give mall containers of prik nam pla when requested.Those were literally the only tiny criticisms.Pad ke mao was great and noodles weren’t clumped together (a pet peeve of mine)Yellow curry had great flavorBeef satay had a deep marinated flavorFried rice is always a safe bet and the group enjoyed the mixed protein.It was completely full by the time we were eating so expect a small wait.

Always like the food taste here. As every other restaurants, the price went up dramatically. Tom Yum Soup is $20 for mostly mushroom, tomato pieces and a few shrimps.They were doing OK during COVID with take outs so I dont know if this big price hike is really necessary. Ordered 3 dishes and paid $60 with a tip.

Delicious pad kee Mao. On the phone the spice levels listed were mild, medium, or spicy. I chose mild and still had a lot of spice and my nose was running, so thats the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I like a little spice but if someone doesnt like spicy food, perhaps they should try to request no spice.

One of the best Chinese place in OC . We have visited this place about 10 plus times.Recently I would raise the concern as well, the cook is not good anymore that use to be there . Cost has definitely went high and is not friendly .Tried once more and quality of Thai curry was not at all good . Looks like they have some new rookies as cook . Sorry but fix it .

Thai Cafe is my go-to spot when I want delicious Thai food! The food is always good at Thai Cafe! Although the price is a big on the high side, the portions are generous, this is why I keep ordering there. The wait time are typically longer than announced, but I would rather wait for delicious dishes, than getting fast tasteless food! Staff is always friendly. Congratulations to the team! Really great Thai food with huge portions! It was a great environment for a family with a baby to eat.I got a Thai tea which was delicious! I also ordered basil chicken (spicy level 3 out of 5) which was more spicy than I expected! It was still delicious and fresh. I think their spicy level is a little higher than normal, so keep that in mind when you order.My family also loved the pineapple fried rice and the drunken noodles. They made my one year old plain rice and steamed veggies and they had a great high chair for him.

I thought the restaurant was good not great. The taste of the food overall was good. I had the spicy chicken pad Thai. I would say there was not much chicken in the dish, mostly noodles. The fried tofu was good with the peanut sauce. I thought the steak on the steak salad dish was overcooked. The presentation for the dishes was so-so, it looked a little sloppy on the plate.

Ive eaten here several times, and every time have had to wait at least 45 minutes for the entrees to be served. Ive been here during a dinner rush, and Ive been here when there were empty tables - it didnt matter. Food always takes at least that long. Ive seen people walk out after being exasperated with the wait. I understand that quality food takes time to prepare, but 45+ minutes for the just the first entree and 25 for the appetizer is unreasonable.The food itself is decent. I recommend their fried tofu appetizer. If the wait isnt a problem for you then the restaurant is okay.

It took them 1 hour to get food prepared, they never offered water refill and kept on staring at us every time we got up because our baby was being fussy. Not sure how this place got 4 stars, just had lunch there and can’t comment positively on any of the dishes we had.We had 3 kinds of soup, Tom Yum which tasted like the most basic chicken stock rather than an authentic Thai stock cooked for hours with all the Thai herbs.The coconut soup was ok but still very basic and felt it wasn’t cooked long enough.The boat soup was the closest to being reasonable but still felt very very basic.We also had the beef salad, it was ok and that’s the only reason it’s not a 1 star rating

Delicious! Ive always wondered what this place was since I would always visit Yogurtland in the same plaza, but i came here one evening right before the dinner rush. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves and service was fantastic. They took our orders and brought everything out in a timely manner. Before I knew it, food filled our table. I ordered a typical dish for myself, pad see ew. The boyfriend ordered the beef panang curry with a side of brown rice. In addition, we split the sweet mango sticky rice.The portions here are relatively big and is probably best eaten family style so that you can get a taste of everything. I thought everything was superb. Most memorable: sweet mango sticky rice. Ive never had this, but it blew my mind. The mangos were very sweet and was a great combination to the sticky rice doused in coconut milk. If I come back, Im definitely ordering that again!

This was hands down the least flavorful pad kee mao Ive ever had. Curry was also pretty flavorless. Portion size was the only real plus. They really filled up the to-go box. In fact, this is such a big plus for me that if the pad kee mow/curry had at least a decent amount of flavor, this would have likely become my local go-to thai place. I definitely got more food than I do at other thai places, but its hard to eat it all when it doesnt have flavor. Kind of shocked actually, didnt think it was possible to have so little flavor in a pad kee mao...

One of the better Thai restaurants in Orange County. The boat noodle soup is one of the best, and the chicken fried rice alone is worth coming in. For dessert, you can try the mouth watering sticky rice with mango. Ive tried many Thai restaurants around, but I keep coming back to this one.Update: 3/26/2017 - Its been a few months since I came here. The food is not the same anymore. The boat noodle soup did not have the same tasty broth and the meat was more like chewing gum, not soft and tender like before. My favorite chicken fried rice was not dry buy so soggy. The flavor was not there....It seems like they do not have the same cook anymore. Not sure if I will come back to Thai Cafe.

Totally disappointed with their customer service. This place is not child friendly. The waitresses have attitude problem here. They gave us our food an hour late and did not tell us it will take them that much time. They did not bother apologizing and they included gratuity that was not deserved. Used to be a Mexican restaurant called el conejo. Its pretty much the best Thai option in Irvine. Their food is sweet unless u aggressively insist they make the food Thai style without sugar. Then its pretty good. Ask for the beef lahd na. Its not on the menu. So good.

That was the worst Thai food I ever had. Being half Thai and Laotian myself and this place is no way near authentic. I would say its more Chinese. The people who works there are not even Thai. Totally not worth 4.2 as review said. I give it a 2 stars.
