Got the Drunken Noodle plate which came with a small kick to it. Wasnt bad at all. Just the right amount for me personally. Also got Chicken Satay that came with I believe peanut sauce..? Anywho, overall I was quite satisfied. The service was good for the most part. No problem there, although I felt like the place was overall just a bit too dim. 😅

I ordered Drunken Noodles with spice level of 3 for pick up. My order was very good size, I actually had two meals from it. Great flavor and look forward to this being a go-go spot....recently tried a Thai place in DT Sac and it just didnt compare to Thai Chili whatsoever.

The food was great! They have a huge menu, and you can choose your meat and the level of spiciness. The food is high quality and delicious. We got six different items for six people and really enjoyed sharing everything.The system of ordering is really convenient and worked well. They have a QR code on the table that lets you not only see the menu, but also order right from your table. We grabbed a table outside and ordered this way, and got quick, friendly service. Ill definitely be back!

We have not been this place for a long time. The appetizer fried calamari is yummy. We ordered yellow curry and pad thai with beef. The beef was too dry and hard. I gave up after chewing a couple times. And pad thai was too salty. I can only taste the sauce not the noodles. I will not order pad thai anymore. However, the yellow curry is good.

Portions are large enough for two people. Me and my family ordered alot thinking it was going to be small but we really could have shared two entrees among the 5 of us. Seafood combo Pad Thai was soooo good and oily. The calamari was lightly fried so its more of an airy/light appetizer. Order a to-go order over the phone or on app because the inside is small. They do have a cozy seating area by the front entrance. Great place for out of town travelers. Mom liked the garlic shrimp and veggies!

It is a cramped place with foul smell. Although the food had decent flavor and service is friendly and quick. Good about food: Flavor, appeal, appeasing and decent taste. Bad : chicken was overcooked and rubbery to chew. My yellow curry was too thin and too sweet. Vegetables such as beans were not cooked and served raw. Look like they were tossed in deep fryer for 2 seconds.

Thai Chili is our go to place here in Elk Grove. The place is cozy (although they have expanded) and the staff are always great.The food is always delicious and can feed several Family members. We always have enough left over for another meal or to take to work the next day.There is something for everyone in the Family.Since we went pescaterian 2 years ago and I cannot eat peanuts they always accommodate our requests to modify our dishes.

Im a decade long customer and the food has always been good.But lately theyve come to take their customers for granted. Lots of attitude when they mis-pack a take out order and dont even think about asking to move to another table.Plus they jacked up their prices 50+%Now theyll argue that costs have increased but an equally good Thai Restaurant in North Highlands House Of Thai Rice & Noodle has not. Just look at the price differences. Curries at Thai Chilli are $18, at Thai Rice and Noodle $11. Equal size and equal quality so one place is profiterring.

Came in a good time before the dinner rush, and it does get busy. They are also pretty busy with their to-go orders. Service was good, food tasted great, and order came out in a timely manner. Portions are very generous so the value is great. Some other Thai Restaurants we tried are Rao Thai and KB Thai Hut, and compared to those, Thai Chili is our go to #2 since it is close by. In my opinion we still prefer KB Thai Hut if you can go there, it is more flavorful and they customize their spiciness level.

This place was recommended as one of the best Thai restaurants in CA. I like layers of flavor and heat in my food. This was not the case here. The size of the dishes were on the small side for the price. The flavor was pretty good but nothing like Ive had at other Thai restaurants. There was little heat and I had to add from the chili options for some heat. Some in our group had Thai tea and liked it. They were very good at checking in on us and refilling our water. The decor was a bit run down and sloppy construction was present in the booth we sat in. The parking lot is good sized but busy. I will probably not go back but if youre looking for a tame Thai food experience this may be the place to come.

The service at this restaurant was good, although it was busy. This is probably my least favorite Thai restaurant in Sacramento. I ordered by phone and went to pick up. Total was around $78. The food is bland and NOT authentic Thai food. As hungry as we were, we did not finish the food. It was that bad.I believe the food is catered for the white people. If you’re Asian and want authentic Thai food, go somewhere else.

The meal is excellent here. This is the areas best Thai food, in my opinion. The noodle meals and soups are fantastic. Ive only been twice, but I plan to return. Most importantly, they dont appear to employ MSG or other toxic substances. After eating, I feel fine and have no headaches.

Small, quiet restaurant. Clean area. We were first attracted when we in the parking lot and What smells good? We enjoyed the Pad, Won Ton soup, and a couple more dishes. We enjoyed things there and our leftovers.Today, we had the Yellow chicken curry (not spicy), won ton soup, and shrimp Pad Thai.Most dishes are set up and priced so you can choose meat. Also they have vegetarian options.

Went over there with some friends. I had found this restaurant on Google search. It had a fairly good rating. It was very busy had to wait about 30 minutes. The food did not take long to come and it was good. The server came back a few times to make sure that everything was okay and we had enough drinks. Will definitely go back again.

Customer service was great, but not the food. The quality and authenticity of the food was just not there! We have had homemade authentic Thai/Laos dishes from coworkers home and this doesn’t compare in flavor at all. We tried the chicken Lab salad with sticky rice, mango sticky rice. We asked for level 3 heat (spicy) had no heat at all. Also asked for fresh mint leaves on the side they gave us basil (we know the difference). Food wasn’t good in our opinion I’m sorry. Didn’t even compare to the best Lao/Thai restaurant in Stockton CA Green Papaya. They are way more authentic in flavor and spices used, like lemon grass, rice powder and everything is made to order. The food we got at Thai Chili Elk Grove came out super fast, which is also another a red flag.

I use to get Pad Thai from here all the time years ago, but moved away & had it again recently. We ordered a ton of takeout...chicken pad Thai, veggie pad Thai, chicken pineapple fried rice green curry & beef Panag curry. The only thing was that actually good was the beef Panag curry. Customer service was great, the waitress was very helpful. My partner and I got the tom yum soup and the pad thai. Honestly nothing special. Not bad, but not good. The tom yum was really sour, that’s why I dislike the dish. The pad thai is sweet and sour, but mainly sour. The best thing that we got was the thai tea. The appearance of the place is unappealing. I sat on the booth, and the wall is pealing and filled with dirty stains.

I would’ve give zero star but it’s not available. I had the worst experience and want to possibly sue them. I have dietary restrictions and cannot eat spicy. I asked for non-spicy green curry. They brought me the spicy one. I asked to have it remade but then they brought back the one I gave back to the server. I know it’s the same one because the bowl has the potato that has my bite mark. I asked them again to remake the second time. Then they brought back to me the same bowl with the same potato in it but only changed the curry to coconut cream. I asked the server why they didn’t remake a fresh one without the spicy. Her name is Parprucha. She said they don’t have curry that’s not spicy. And that I need to educate myself that Thai food is generally spicy. I told her, if they don’t have non-spicy option, why didn’t they tell me when I placed the order? She said she was not the one took the order and if I want to talk to the owner, I can call tomorrow before noon. This is the worst experience and service I received out of all the restaurant I’ve my entire life!

My family and I decided to try this place out today. We got seated and noticed theres rags on tables with no staff around. My children are 7, 5, 3, and 11 months so they are a little restless and needing lunch. Two other partys come in and get their drinks and orders taken. Its been well over 15 minutes and nobody has approached our table to get our orders. My wife and I decide to just walk out because we felt offended that they wouldnt approach us because we have young children with us. Even as we walked out none of the staff said anything or asked if theres something they could do. I literally felt like they didnt want us there and didnt have the courtesy to just ask us to leave. I hope someone helps these people to learn manners. To some it up dont come here with children they just decide to ignore you.

Arrived at about 6:30pm Friday for 4 and was seated immediately. Noticed after 7pm there was a wait line. Service was good and servers appeared attentive to our needs. I love this place! Ive been dining here since they first opened. This is my go to place for when I need my Thai food fix, my kids love it too! We often cater here for birthdays and holidays and theyre very affordable. Ive even done same day catering trays and they were able to accommodate my needs. The employees are very friendly and knowledge. I highly recommend this restaurant, dont hesitate to give them a try. My favorite dishes are tropical fried rice, pad see ew, drunken noodle, and deep fried eggplant.

Had real high expectations for this place, as it was rated highly but was extremely disappointed. Biggest concern/issue was that we got a LONG hair tangled up in the chicken Spicy Holy Basil Fried Rice, that definitely put us off of eating the rest of the food!We also got noodles and a yellow curry, that turned out to be mediocre and not noteworthy. Used PostMates to order online. I ordered brown rice, steam rice, garlic & pepper, rice noodle soup, and spicy Thai chow Mein. In total $48.85. The chow main had a rancid smell. Could not eat it. We called the restaurant for a refund and unfortunately since we’ve used a 3rd party app they were unwilling to refund me directly. I contacted PostMates via web chat (only way to contact them) and they could not help me. I attempted 4 times with them and they either ended the chat earlier without warning, used the excuse that their system is suddenly having ‘update’ issues or could not find my order because my order did not post to their system. I gave my order number to them in the chat but they still refused to help me and said to call back in 2-3 hours.Conclusion: Thai Chili lost a customer for life for $15. They can thank PostMates service. I’m not seeking full refund or restaurant t credit. No excuses, if you have a customer that has a genuine reason to dispute service or food you’ve served then you should be responsible to resolve it immediately. The restaurant is responsible for contracting with a 3rd party delivery service that has poor customer service. I should not have to go through this frustration for $15.

Yesterday, we ordered the food for my moms birthday. We ordered several chicken and veggie dishes. The food was terrible. One of my favorite dish at the restaurant was eggplant. They placed few pieces of eggplant and random veggies. I have a feeling, eggplant is expensive so they tried compensating with other veggies instead of increasing the price. All the dishes lacked favors. I know in past this place was the best restaurant in town. After the expansion they have definitely lost their good quality.Not sure if I want to go back again.

One of the few favorite Thai restaurants that I visit quite often. They have really great service and the ambiance of the restaurant in its entirety makes it a great place to enjoy the entire Thai experience. This is a very busy restaurant, but definitely worth the wait once you sit down and enjoy the food. The fried tofu is a must have if you really want to enjoy some tofu that is truly fried and not soggy or squishy in the middle as like many other places I have visited. Pretty much everything off the menu is a great experience that will send your taste buds wanting more and soon youll be a regular.

I have always loved this place because the food has always been very good. However, on my last visit, they couldnt get an order right. My mother is vegan and also (for religious reasons) does not eat garlic or onions. I was appalled because had my mother been allergic to these ingredients we asked not to be put in her dish, she would have had a terrible reaction. Fortunately, it wasnt an allergy but a conscious choice. The rest of the family had already finished our meals so we didnt bother to bring it to the servers attention again. So I checked out Thai Chili with 2 of my friends for lunch, since it has so many reviews & 4 stars.The server was great. Although he didnt introduce himself so I cant give him a shoutout, he was nice and explained details of the menu to us. He was honest in that he said, I dont know what they do back there, a few times. Hahaha.The menu is extensive, which I hadnt seen at a Thai restaurant before. For me, I am an adventure eater and want the recipes to be authenticly prepared, no matter what the cuisine. I am always searching for authentic Thai food. So I was disappointed by Thai Chili.I had beef Pad Thai and it was saucy and tangy but didnt have that yum factor. It kind of fell flat. The Orange Thai chicken was akin to a Japanese Tonkatsu. (I did ask my friend why shed order orange chicken at a Thai restaurant. She agreed once it came out that she had expected it to be more akin to the Chinese orange chicken dish. ((Oh boy, lol.)) The yellow curry was apparently good according to my other friend but also very spicy. She had the sticky rice with her meal and said it was good too.All in all, Id say when you go, just be aware the menu has some dishes on it that Ive never seen on a Thai menu before, that dont sound authenticly Thai. Although Thai food is my absolute favorite cuisine, I admit I am no expert, I just know what I like.It seems to me, Thai Chili may be more of a fusion restaurant as their menu offers dishes like orange chicken or teryaki dishes and they even have Pancit which is traditionally a Filipino dish, rather than focusing on authentic Thai flavors. Which is totally cool and seems to be working well for them. Since Im not into fusion food, I wont be back.Help me find authentic Thai food, wont you? I have been searching for the best Thai food restaurant in the Sacramento metropolitan area for a while. This is by far the best Thai restaurant I have found in California. I met a friend here last night for an early dinner. It was her favorite Thai place, and I had never been there before. I had the thai tea, pumpkin curry, and mango with sticky rice. It was all so good. The servers were nice and very present when needed. The flavors were very distinct, didnt taste like all the others. I am anxious to try other menu items, because every time the waiters walked by with a plate of food it smelled so good. Portions were really big, prices a few dollars more than other thai places. Got a to go order of a variety of dishes: pad thai, spring rolls, yellow curry, and ginger chicken. Curry was good and had a nice little spicy kick to it. Spring rolls were also good and not greasy at all (although I didnt have any sambal so they could have been better). I think the only disappointment was the pad thai. It just had a strange tang to it that didnt taste well in comparison to the others.Despite that though I still think its a worthy place to visit as the prices were reasonable and the other dishes were still hot and fresh and yummy.

After I was done eating, I wanted my waitress to go tell him that I thought he was hot but instead she told him I wanted to tell him something. Food is very, very good. Try the fried flatbread and yellow curry - I have not seen it on many Thai restaurant menus and I love it. Another notable item is the hot tea, a blend of Jasmine and Thai tea, I believe. Its excellent with a bit of sugar stirred in. Its hit or miss here. Theres been times when the food was really good. The last time we were here, the food came out luke warm. We had to send it back to get them reheated. They serve everything in rapid succession, soup, salad, appetizers, entrees. I am a huge Thai food lover. This place was recommended to me by my parents whos tastes buds I usually trust. To summarize I would say that everything that I ordered was sweet. Now I do understand that some Thai food can be a little sweet but not this.Id ordered the curry Puffs and the jelly noodle dish which I order at every Thai restaurant that I go to that carries the jelly noodles. Because of the good reviews I read we tried Thai Chili on a Friday night. We were instantly greeted and seated. Water and menus delivered which led to an overload of choices.We tried the shrimp spring rolls first- fresh and delicious. On to fish curry in green sauce, pineapple rice and the evening special tilapia with aspargus. Too much food but oh so good. Leftovers for lunch the next day was a bonus. Okay, a few things you should know about this place: its not authentic Thai food, staffs do play favoritism to their friends, their spicy level is not spicy, and generally speaking, theyre always busy during dinner time.After eating 90% of their menu, I would only come back for their curry and dessert. The other items are not good. Theyre decent, but Ive had better. For example, their Tom yum soup tasted like package seasoning diluted with chicken broth and the seafood came from frozen packages. Yes they are deep fried but they are way too greasy. No thank you. Entree was the combination plate of garlic steak, praram chicken, and teriyaki chicken on a bedding of vegetables, served with sweet and sour sauce, spicy lime sauce, and peanut sauce. $16 . It was basically a substantial pile of meat on top of half raw unseasoned vegetables, carrots,hard broccoli and cabbage. Thai Chili always has super fast service from waiters/waitresses and from the kitchen. Everything weve ordered is fresh and served hot (the way it should be). I came this week and purchased a chicken fried rice. When the food came and I was taking out my food, I saw that it was burnt. There were alot of burnt veggies, egg, and chicken in the food. I called one of the server and showed the burnt pieces in the food, he told me to just take it out. I was shocked by this response. I also purchased the lunch special cashew nut chicken and i was given with plain white rice. I asked about it and the man said that it comes with white rice. My fiance took me here for a surprise dinner date, plus I was also sick so he looked up where to find best tasting soups in town and he found this place. I ordered shrimp chicken wonton soup, Pumpkin Curry which was the bomb together!!!! Then adding sticky rice it is heaven!!!!!!!!!!. My fiance got a chicken pho soup with some glass noodles, he loved it. But he kept stealing some of my Pumpkin Curry because that was too good and didnt want to order one for himself. Haha.

The thai tea was really good, not overly sweet like some other places. We ordered 6 dishes and the only one we really liked was the sliced beef salad. The other dishes: dragon noodle, shrimp eggplant (seafood but I opted for shrimp only), cashew chicken &and shrimp, golden bag, and pineapple fried rice were ok. The sauces on the cashew chicken & shrimp and shrimp eggplant were runny. The sauce didnt stick to the chicken, shrimp, or veges so when I ate (even after I dipped in the sauce), I didnt get as much flavor as I wanted. Wish the sauce was cooked down more to carmelize the sauce. We will come back to order their salad and Thai tea.

I actually have never have tasted their food yet but I accidentally ordered from this location while I meant to order from the Rocklin location, I called to see if they would give me a refund because I lived about an hour away and they closed at 9 and I wouldnt have made it in time to get the order anyways.... They were very understanding and helped me with the refund, I just want to say they have great customer service and I will be ordering there when I am in the area!

Our whole family loves Thai Chili. The menu has so much variety that even our non -thai -preferred- favorite folks can find something delicious. The flavors are well developed and diverse. One of my go-to favorite comfort foods is the yellow curry with avocado and sticky rice. Its by my Dollar store so I like to grab a Thai iced tea on my way home. The decor is a little funky, but very clean. After two bites you wont be thinking about anyting else but the food!

My fav is the yellow chicken curry with flatbread! I really enjoy curry puffs, but wish they were baked instead of fried. Kinda oily but delish, nevertheless. I love the brown rice option. Wish they would add quinoa as another substitute for rice. Great service!

Called and got a guy I couldnt understand. I asked for larb (a thai dish) and this guy was like what? Put me on hold and I can hear him talking in the background, another guy got on the phone and had to translate for me. Made my order, went to pick up my order and immediately was disappointed when I saw the sized of my dish for the price. Wasnt even authentic larb. Taste was okay compared to what I usually get.
