Thai Elephant Morro Bay in Morro Bay

What a delicious Thai food we had yesterday night. We were traveling on Highway 1 and decided to have a night stay in Morro Bay. After a full day of travel we all were hungry and decided to find a Thai Restaurant for dinner. The food was great, service was fast and portion size was perfect. We enjoyed our dinner.

As frequent visitors in Morro Bay (at least 2x a year the last 3 years), weve been looking for an opportunity to try this restaurant and finally snagged our chance! Its a busy restaurant, so you may have to wait for a seat unless youre ordering carryout. The food was delicious and worth the short wait, though. We ordered chicken satay, cheese puffs, red curry, chili basil, and pad-see-ew and everything was amazing. We will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends. I had the chicken pad Thai lunch special which was very.good and a lot of food. The soup was yummy. My husband had teriyaki chicken bowl and loved it. Very inexpensive and our waitress was good.

We visited this restaurant twice during our stay. Yes! The food tasted great. They have enough vegetarian options with three spice levels. The staff are friendly. Their service is faster. The appetizers, soups and entrees were all good including the dessert. The fried spring rolls, drunken noodles, pad Thai noodles, Tom kah soup, saki beverage were something we tried and felt completely satisfied. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone with good appetite. Enjoy!

Location; Good, Parking; Street, Service; Good, Price for food received; okay. Overall; A first time try and it was worth a stop. The place seemed busy when we entered. We noticed the meals were family style so a plate can feed 3 people at minimum. With a taste for seafood we ordered the Pad Thai Noodle with seafood and combination rice also with shrimp as part of the meal. The disappointment for both plates was the lack of shrimp and for the Pad Thai, scallops. We hope this was a mistake but will look other at other places before we land here again. The taste was good but it was minimal on the best items.

Decided to get takeout here last night as we were staying in town nearby and wasnt disappointed. Got the honey ribs, pad thai, and the small order of won ton soup. All were delicious. Well definitely come back the next time we come back to Morro Bay.

Literally the best Thai food we’ve ever had! We live in the L. A. area and visit the central coast at least once a year. Thai Elephant is the one restaurant we look forward to every time!

Huge portions and delicious freshly prepared Thai food.They make Vegan and Vegetarian options too.Must visit if craving some delicious Thai food.Gracious staff and very helpful too.She packed us paper bowls and spoons etc too.

You know its authentic because of the broken English on their menu and signs :). Enjoyed the pad Thai, wonton soup, and yellow curry. Service was quick and friendly and the food was excellent. We came in hungry and left very full after sharing three dishes between the three of us. Portions are great and the taste is better. Will definitely stop in next time we are in town

Ordered from here a few times. Red and green curry were good recommendations from the restaurant. Definitely can’t go wrong with their fried rice.
