The waitress that was behind the counter was lovely. This is a perfect place for someone who is gluten free/celiac. The portion size was great too. The place was clean and the prices were extremely reasonable. This is by far the best Thai food Ive never had. Too bad we are were only visiting the area but this food was one of the highlights of our trip.

Our first time here and we will look forward to returning. Ordered the Chicken Thai Salad and the Yellow Curry Hot with Chicken. Perfect level of spice! Nice veggies, fresh lettuce and not too much dressing. Also got the Thai iced tea with boba- yum and very cooling after the spices.

I love this place. Great customer service, really clean and modern space! We stopped by for dessert and got a Thai Tea with boba and Sweet Mango Sticky Rice! So delicious! Cant wait to be back again. I will recommend for sure. Try it.

Seemed like a family run business. It was very clean, the service was great, and the food knocked my socks off. I got the drunken noodles and asked for it ‘Thai spicy’ and they did it just right. The guy that took our order had a great personality and had a sense of humor. Had I been out there another night, I would have made it back to TNE without doubt.

So yummy! Friendly service, amazing food! I make sure to stop by everytime Im on Main Street. They have really good choices of food from Ramen to Curry to Pho. Me & my boyfriend love coming here for lunch and dinner. Its a little too small to eat inside, even for someone by themselves, so i usually just go for take out. But theres a table in the front, if you want to eat on Main Street and people watch, its really nice. Great restaurant!

The coconut shrimp was pretty good. The Pad Thai was overly sweet, the peanut sauce was thick and tasted like sugar crystals, the pho had absolutely no flavor and was basically water instead of broth. Highly disappointed in the food, especially for the price paid. The service was good but I was shocked at the price and unhappy with the food

Great small restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful with helping us decide what to order. My girlfriend and I had the Gyoza, kimchee spicy miso ramen with pork, and the chicken drunken noodle. All of our food tasted great. Will definitely go back, next time we are in Placerville.

Excellent food options. Quality of food was fresh and tasteful. Menu may be difficult to read for elderly or blind, a QR option is available to view menu on your mobile device, however there is no option for handheld menu viewing otherwise. Service was excellent, and had no issues as a walk-in on a weekday for dinner meal. Its a little small inside, but wasnt too packed, Friday and Saturday nights may not be as comfortable during peak hours due to limited seating, but this is just speculative as I have not a singe idea in reality:) recommend checking this place out if youre wandering around hang town and hungry for Japanese food.

2nd time eating here. 1st time had the hot chicken curry and found it not to be very hot, so we went with Thai hot this time, and it was too much. The heat interfered with the flavor of the food. Otherwise, the food was tasty & hot. Will go with the regular hot next time and add heat if I need to.

Had the miso and spicy tonkatsu ramen and both were really bad. We were driving through the town so don’t have any sense of nearby restaurants to compare to. Service was fine but both ramen had watery broth, overcooked noodles, and were just extremely disappointing. Instant noodles taste better than their ramen. Also had the Thai iced tea boba which tasted like slightly flavored water, with rock hard boba. Shameful to be associating this with Asian food—if you want ramen please try an actual ramen place that cooks their own broth.

The 1st time we went here the girl behind the counter was very knowledgeable about the menu items and was able to suggest things for us to eat. The food came fairly quickly, the place was clean, and the atmosphere was nice. However this time when we went it was completely the opposite. The girl behind the counter obviously was new and not only did she not know the menu but she could not give us any suggestions. They either had their air conditioning off or it was broken which made the inside of that building 98ﾟ. It took almost an hour for our food to be ready. In the meantime I had left and went out to the car because it was way too hot in there. My husband waited for the food and unfortunately it was lukewarm. I dont know if it had been sitting on the counter or what but it was an unfortunate experience this time. Not sure that we will ever go back.

I have come here over a dozen times. Everything is cooked fresh to order. Tell them if you want it different than described on the menu. The Massaman Curry is excellent. Wait times are reasonable, 10 to 15 minutes at most. Prices are reasonable, about 20% more than a burger place. Authentic flavors, think twice when asking for extra spicy. Great place if you are in the neighborhood.

I don’t know how this place got so many good reviews. We waited for over an hour to get our food. Orders were forgotten and we had to remind them of several dishes we were missing. Food came out so random (main dish followed by appetizers followed by dessert, followed by more main dishes, followed by more appetizers, followed finally by boba tea that was not good at all) I felt bad for the three teenagers trying to manage our big group and all of our orders. The pad Thai and ramen dishes were very bland. I will say though, not everything was bad…the yellow curry and pumpkin curry were delicious!

This is a real find in downtown Placerville. I’ve driven by it many times but never noticed it. The restaurant is small with minimal ambiance but the food is excellent. Fresh and delicious. It can be a spicy(and I like it spicy), but I would suggest going medium spicy your first time so it isn’t too hot for you to enjoy. The people couldn’t be nicer. If you like Thai food, this is the place for you. They also have great soups, ramen and other options.

At first I thought wed hit a treasure when I tasted my first delicious bite of ramen noodles but then my son couldnt stand to eat another bite, because of all the jalapeno pepper slices they threw into his dish, which are not in the description on the menu. The staff were not apologetic and seemed unconcerned for his welfare. If you have children, be specific when you place your order because this restaurant is not child friendly.

I had no idea this delicious little place had moved so long ago. So I was really happy to see it in a bigger location. The interior looks way better too! The lady at the front was very nice. What everyone mentioned in review before is likely no longer valid. We went to this place on a Sunday night, the quoted wait time was 30 minute but the actual time was 60. The chef appears to be two young kids who have no experience behind the kitchen counter at all, observing his cooking suggested that the long wait time is likely a result of the lack of experience. We ordered a pad Thai and pad siew, the pad siew is entirely disintegrated into paste like texture and was watery, the pad Thai was bland and lack wok heat. Please consider this review before coming here as it seems to be a change in staff and chef from what everyone else mentioned in the review

I’m very disappointed in this place. When I first started coming here it was awesome and over the top, I was happy that I didn’t have to drive to Folsom to get Pho when my family and I were sick. Now I would gladly drive there anytime, the positions keep getting smaller and smaller WHATS the point of ordering food if you get a half cup of noodles and an over abundance of broth paying $12 and if you want shrimp look out you get two in your soup and they charge almost $4. The food was delicious but the portions were very disappointing. My husband ordered several items as it was my first ti.e trying Thai, the curry chicken was a decent amount but very little rice with it. The chicken Teriyaki plate which was around $10 and the box was half empty. One icecream scoop size glob of rice and about a 1/4 piece of chicken breast sliced thin and diagonally. It was delicious just wasnt even enough to feed my 8 year old son. Im not sure the food was worth the price for the amount you get.

This is my second time coming to Thai noodle express with my boyfriend. They have been so nice and very helpful. I have a plant based diet and they are always good with accommodating me. Everyone has been kind and service is very quick. I would reccrecom this place to everyone. Ordered 2 pork dishes to go the pork in each was awful but the veggies and sauces were reasonably tasty. Nearly every piece of pork was 100% fat and the other pieces had only very small pieces of meat attached to large pieces of gristle. Called to explain that there was nearly zero actual pork meat in the dishes and was offered a tea or something next time I came in. I politely told the girl on the phone that I was very disappointed in the offer, she said sorry. After explaining that I felt spending $24 on two dishes that were inedible seemed inappropriate to me she then told me I could bring back the uneaten portions of each and she would ask the owner if she would be willing to remake one.No thanks, Ill pass.

Best Thai in the Placerville area that Ive tried!I had the chicken Pad Se Ew (pictured below) with a Thai Iced Coffee (pictured separately) and it was delicious. Healthy portions combined with thai flavors in every bite had me leaving satsified. The iced coffee had a decent amount of cream, but not too much. The Pad Se Ew had plenty of chicken, with crunchy veggies and properly cooked noodles.Just a word of warning, there is very little dining space, with only 3 stools, 2 indoor tables and 2 outdoor tables, so plan accordingly as it may be tight eating quarters.Pros:- Delicious- Friendly staff- FreshCon:- Crampt spaceBottom line: Would recommend and will return when Im hankering for Thai.
