It was my first time trying Thai Orchid and we got food delivered from here. I was super excited to try Thai food from a new place and especially here since it had some really good reviews. Our order was simple - basil fried rice and ginger chicken with veggies.The service was super quick with food being ready pretty fast and quanta was really good too. The ginger chicken was delicious and had fresh ingredients that one could tell from the flavors. The fried rice though was not to our liking. Unfortunately it was super greasy and it was swimming in oil (not quite but you get the point). I usually really like good quality Thai fried rice but was very disappointed with this one :(Given that we liked the chicken dish, I am happy to try this place again and perhaps try another rice based dish in person another time and also that way I can check out the ambience as well.

Good vegetarian choices and good quality food. The soups have the choice of tofu or vegetables and I missed out on the vegetables because I picked tofu! Somehow these soups need a basic set of veggies besides the mushroom. Pad Thai was good too. Their service is exceptional.

Very home style when you walk in, the staff is very friendly and gives good and quick service. The food is very good, its not fancy but if you want a more authentic Thai experience this place is great and good portions and prices too.

Ive been eating here since the pandemic began. Chris is an outstanding server and takes care of all of my takeout orders quickly and pleasantly. I order the Pad Thai with Chicken extra spicy, religiously. Ive dined in the restaurant a couple times, they do say they are expanding. It is a tight space. The Tom Kha soup was also amazing. Enjoy!

We ordered 3 dishes and 2 of them were disappointing. The green curry (pictured) for $18+ comes in a small container. The flavor is ok. The Tom Kha soup tastes weird, sweeter - not like from other Thai restaurants. I wish the soup had tomatoes or fresh spices. The one dish I’d recommend is the pineapple fried rice - big portion and the nuts make it interesting. Also, I wish this place had coconut rice.

Its not bad, but its another Americanized Thai restaurant.Most dishes are way too salty and sweet while being watered down in terms of Thai flavors. Medium heat really is essentially no heat.Fish sauce and basil flavors are weak if present at all.

Located slightly away from downtown so doesn’t usually get over crowded but is still busy even on weekdays. Housed in an old cottage the interior has a homely inviting feel. The highlight here is the food. Very flavorful and healthy portions and the staff are friendly as well. The sign of a good Thai restaurant is a well done Pad Thai!

Ridiculously delicious Thai food at a very reasonable price. The yellow curry, pad see ew, and pad Thai are all spot on. They are fast on to go orders and you get great portion sizes. Be cautious that their spice is very spicy, so don’t be afraid to back it down from what you might order at a different place.

Our favorite Thai restaurant. Service over the phone has always been good - theyre always clear and thorough with your order. They typically have a 15-20 minute turnaround for 2-4 entrees.Theres a lot to recommend. Personal favorites are the Pineapple Curry, the Rama, and the Spicy Spaghetti.

Wasnt my favourite - the curry was thick almost like a gravy, Im used to curry being more soupy, but maybe thats just their style. I was disappointed with spice caddy provided, which is what I look forward to most when going out for Thai. Their spice caddy lacked imagination....no spicy fish sauce or other house made spiciness on this one. I recommend try for yourself....fun place with friendly service!

I have been coming here for quite some time and food never fails! Ive tried other thai restaurants around and always come back to this one. I like their taste much better than others I have tried. Their food is just well put together... its so tasty, not greasy, and just very clean. A lot of options! Many vegetarian options. Veggie pineapple curry is bomb. I love the comfy lightly dimmed, home feel and great music! Love love love! I am healthy food concious I like quality and tasty food thats not greasy. Thats my style and they have that here :) and its not expensive they give you a very good amount of food. The service is great as well very friendly!

I dont know how this place has so many stars. My pad thai was burnt and lumpy, the green curry tasted like they used heavy cream instead of a coconut base, and the tom yum soup was terrible and really greasy. I threw that away. Not at all authentic - which is weird because its a local hole-in-the-wall and youd think it would be very authentic. I tipped them well because their service was great and all of the employees were very kind and helpful. But I wont eat there again.

Authentic, real Thai food, looks family owned, a converted house with quaint, beatiful dining spaces, Thai art, knowledgeable staff. They can give good recommendations, and they will be very careful of allergies. Parking in rear leads to reception door, and you can watch cooking from there. One room dedicated to large parties. Two large comfy booths in the back. But - have to emphasize the food! It is wonderful, get leftovers! Or take out... Real food, feels good to eat it!

The guys are really friendly, great service, but they need a real chef who knows authentic Thai Food...the Pad Se Ew noodles were great, (super simple to make) but Rama dish was like spinach with sweet peanut butter: no salt and no other complex flavors. I know what its supposed to taste like, this was not it. The Salmon Red Curry smelled wonderful but so disappointing, sweet with no other flavors, or even red curry taste. Taste like they used coconut cream out of the can. Good relaxed atmosphere, maybe good place for drinks or sweet deserts but definitively not authentic Thai food. Ordered veggie and tofu green curry with brown rice. The brown rice was undercooked, the tofu had purple spots, and it just lacked flavor. And of course you dont realize all of this until you try your to-go order at home. I couldnt eat it. Overall disappointed, Ive had this place bookmarked for a while. Also, its very dark when you drive and walk in past sunset, they could make it a bit more inviting, even if we are in a pandemic. Just my two cents.

Ordered food using Door Dash. Thai Orchid didnt make it. Driver arrived and told them the order, they didnt put it in again. So driver waited an hour and we still never got the food. Hours are incorrect. They are closed at 3 pm in the afternoons but reopen for dinner.My red curry was excellent. One thing Ive noticed with Thai chefs is that, like bartenders with a heavy pour, some have a heavy pour with spicing. The chef here has heavy pour and I found myself wishing Id ordered mild spice instead of medium. I can only imagine what hot was like.Service really slowed down as it got busy and they were clearly understaffed.

Indians have a big crush on Thai food. This much is certain from the number of times our Indian friends recommend Thai cuisine over any other. This past week, one of our relatives was visiting from Florida and when given a choice, picked a Thai place in the vicinity. We had never been to the place in our 2 years of living here and figured why not. So off we trundled on a pleasant winter evening to Thai Orchid in Campbell.We were a group of seven and famished on a weekday evening at Thai Orchid. We got seated fairly quickly and started perusing the menu. We found a bunch of items that appealed to the vegetarian in us. The waiter dropped off the menu in our hands and disappeared. For a long time. While we waited, having made our decision, a different gentleman came by to give us complimentary Taro root fries. The Taro root fries were nice- the peanut sauce complemented it well. Only minor gripe- it was very greasy even by fries standards.After quite a wait, out orders were taken and the food started arriving. The appetizer of choice was crispy tofu which was well cooked. Most of us had ordered noodles in one form or the other with the exception of my wife who had the yellow curry with tofu. The curry was relatively bland even by the low spice standards but definitely worked for the little guy. So that problem was solved. Overall, the food was good without any thing special to write about. Most of us went with medium spice and had to add chili sauce to make it spicier. So if you have a spicy palate, make sure to ask for it.RatingAmbiance: 8/10. The place is nice and pleasant. It is bigger than it seems and can seat a lot of small groups.Service: 7.75/10. Service was good when we had someone attending to us.Food: 8/10. Good Thai food.Price: 8/10. Reasonable for dinner.Restroom: 8/10. Clean but small.Overall: 8/10. One of your safe bets. Not going to wow you but will definitely fulfill your Thai food urge.

Im really disappointed with this place. It used to be my favorite. Id go for lunch faithfully.Then they closed up and now only open for dinner. The cooks must have changed because the thai basil has not been edible the two last times ive ordered from there.I also dont think their restaurant health codes are up to par. I wont be surprised if they unfortunately dont fix up and close down.

One thing Thai Orchid does that I wish more thai restaurants do: they actually use gai lan (aka Chinese broccoli), and theyll let you know when they are out. Maybe its just my preference, but I prefer Chinese broccoli because it cooks better than regular stalky broccoli. Their pad see ew has the right amount of char too! You cant go wrong with any of their food, really.
