This is my fathers favorite Thai spot in town; Ill second his opinion. The food here is always cooked fresh and tastes excellent. Today we had the green curry, beef stew noodles, shrimp pineapple curry and the Mongolian beef. Only two pictures as everyone dug in quickly.

Good food with friendly service. May not be as flavorful/savory as other Thai restaurants, but we love it down to earth!!! The Tom Yum noodle soup was alright, while the papaya salad we ordered was especially goooood, but be mindful its still very spicy, even tho theres no chili icon by the item on the menu. Its a solid Thai food restaurant after all! Will def be coming back next time! Its right off the 10 and a perfect midway stop between LA and Joshua Tree NP.

My order included... Chicken Satay, was cut too thick and had poor flavor. Spring rolls were ok but one stringy and I didnt eat it all 😑 Mongolian beef wasnt traditional at all, basically it was sauteed and beef (somewhat tough). The steamed rice was just ok. I wont be returning just wasnt pleased by the food at all and spent over $30. 😕

This is our first time eating here and we are very pleased.We chose this place based on the reviews and what we could see of the dishes on here.The restaurant was clean. The server was excellent.As for the food. We ordered a green salad, egg drop soup, egg rolls, and chicken chow mein. All were excellent. Very good coconut ice cream, too.We are in the region for work, but will definitely be back this week.

On 9/20/24 we ordered Thai chicken and Duck soup. The food was so horrible my dog wouldn’t even eat it.The owners don’t seem to care about answering customer’s complaints, so I’ll just post it here.Please don’t eat here until they change chefs!

I love, Love, LOVE Thai Orchid!!! The Papaya Salad is so fresh and so authentic Thai you will thank me later! Also, the Sticky Rice with Mango is a seasonal dessert and lucky for us we fought over the last delicious bite!

Solid 4.8 rating. We always order chicken panang curry and fresh rolls. Our only tiny complaint is that the rice wrapper on the rolls is stickier than most. However, the sauce and ingredients are very good.

Fabulous dinner. Staff was friendly & attentive. Menu was large. I asked if they had my favorite dish, Pad See Eew, and the server pointed me to it. I also got a bowl of Wanton soup. I had to bring most of both home as the portions were way too big to eat in one sitting. Very pleasant.

Horrible customer service we got our soup and then waited 45 minutes still didnt get our food, finally we said just cancel the order! People around us were being served that came in after us. Always a good experience here. Very good service, portions and flavor. The fried catfish in the brown sauce is the favorite. Soups are good as well.Okay so its an Americanized Thai style joint and the fried rice can be hit or miss sometimes but they get their stars from me :)

Wow! Food was amazing. Service was so good we felt like we didnt deserve it. Tammy was our server and she was beyond nice. After a day of climbing this was perfect! They have several vegetarian options. We are definitely returning after our next Black Mountain climbing trip.

My son and I ordered from.the vegetarian/vegan section of the menu. I got the broccoli and tofu dish and he got the cashew and tofu. Both came with perfectly cooked white rice; tofu was great grilled just right and veggies were great. We liked that the cashew dish came w stir fried onion, green pepper and carrots.

A lunch that I will remember. After a previous bad experience caused by the chef being absent due to an accident, I though I would return and try again. Very happy I did, as the food was excellent. My partner and I asked for Thai hot (the warnings of the owner notwithstanding) and I got the one of the tastiest and hottest (notice the heat did not obscure the flavour) meal I have had in a decade or more. I had to mop the sweat from my brow and I did sneeze so it was hot, but exactly what I wanted. Well done. (As a warning if you havent tried Thai hot in Thailand stuck with the usual hot setting as recommended by the host or hostess). I will be back for more, this time with more hot freaks

I like the fact that they knew everyone who walked in the door. We were visiting LA from MD and noticed that at many restaurants we ate at which is a plus. Food was plentiful, Pad Thai was tasty but noodles were over cooked and was heavy on the sauce. Chicken Fried rice was ok and along with the Pad See Ew.

Absolutely delicious food! Been years since Ive been here and still as good as I remember. Food is fresh and tasty, seasoned just right and the service if phenomenal! They have a large menu with noodle and rice dishes as well as curry and meat and seafood, a good selection of vegetarian dishes as well. Got the pad see ew with pork, the pork was so tender and moist! Tom yum soup was tasty, lots of lime flavor and just the right amount of spice. The ladies in front are very attentative. Very pleased with the food. We live close, but decided to try it out. We were greeted at the counter and seated in a nicely decorated but small place. The food that came out was great. Good sized portions, a little low on meat though. So much sauce the cashew chicken and kung pao is practically soup. Drive carefully on the way home or youll a ton of sauce in the bottom of the bag. Flavor was okay, not great, not bad. Could be an incredible bargain, good for those who like bland food and can add their own chicken to the leftover sauce and vegetables.

Fabulous food, endearing staff and very willing to work with you. Stopped here while going home from a climbing trip, it was late and the staff did not turn us away. Despite it being late, the staff service and quality of food was not compromised. Ordered Pad see ew, tom kah goong, papaya salad and egg plant salad all with pork as the meat of choice. We ate family style and all dishes ordered were spicy, delicious and hot. The soup was a great recovery dish and it came out fast, followed by the pad see ew and salads; the noodles were well cooked, flavorful and filling, the egg plant came with rice and was very saucy, the papaya salad was refreshing and unique. Overall a great experience, all climbers, hikers, etc should stop here for a well deserved meal, and if you arent one of those stop here anyways. Also order thai iced tea, cold and dark with milk, yum!

I absolutely love Thai Orchid. The food is cooked fresh and service is very fast. We have yet to have a meal that disappointed. The pad kee mao, pineapple fried rice, pad krapao and broccoli with tofu are pretty much staples for us. We come here very often and have gotten to know the owners and the service staff pretty well. Were to the point where they know who we are when we call to place to go orders. I highly recommend you try for yourself.

I could hardly cut them with a knife let alone try to chew them, although the sauce was very flavorful. My husband ordered Thai House Fish, which is a fried tilapia, no flavor except an overwhelming fishy taste, almost like it had freezer burn. Tilapia is usually a mild flavored fish. Apparently they forgot to put any seasoning on it. The salad was a lump of iceberg lettuce, about 15 cents worth, topped with a few strands of carrots. It came with their famous house peanut butter dressing, which was peanut butter in a dish with a small spoon. Have you ever tried to put peanut butter on a salad? We have had Thai food numerous times before and the peanut butter salad dressing is always smooth and easy to apply. Not only was this the WORST Thai food ever, but we decided it was probably the WORST food we ever had at a restaurant. AND, at $10.99 a plate, it is DEFINITELY not worth it. Go elsewhere PLEASE!
