Amazing and delicious Thai food. the Thai barbeque chicken was better than some I had in Bangkok. They have various curries. We had the Panang curry and it was outstanding. We finished both dishes and even finished off all of the curry sauce. It was that good. I have seen this place for many years and decided to give it a try. I am glad we did, the food was tastier then a lot of other Thai places i have been to. Definitely worth a try.

Nice spot! Fish tank was mesmerizing, BBQ ribs were phenomenal. The pad thai noodles were okay, better than I could make at home, but not quite a jaw dropping as the ribs.

Food is still delicious but sadly they are moving to another location due to lot they sit on is being torn down to become a Mercedes dealership. We usually order the mint beef, phad thai, chicken satay, angel wings, larb, and calamari. Will checkout the new location when we need our thai food.

I have gave this restaurant 4 tries already and sorry to not really all that great. Rice is way to soggy and there is no in the rice asked for shrimp fried rice and literally only got 2 shrimps. At least 4 you would think. The chicken was alright. Defiantly not the best bbq, although I have never tried Thai before but I can imagine the rice wouldn’t be soggy. Thumbs down wallet away just like I will be from now on!!!!!

We go or order take out almost every week. We love the Pad See Ew with chicken or shrimp. Good portion, worth the price for the deliciousness. The curries and soups are a little sweet and not spicy enough for my taste. We go for the fried noodles!

Bbq chicken was dry and pepper beef was tough. fried rice tasted good but couldnt find shrimip in the shrimp fried rice . food tasted pre-cooked and no Thai food taste. but for that price, what can i ask more? will order a la carte next time to see if they will be better

Great neighborhood Thai spot. I recommend the chicken angel wings! Generous portions and flavorful food can be found here. The ambiance is somewhat shabby, but the food is solid. Plus, theyre open until 10pm!

Stopped by this place during the pandemic, when things were just starting to open again. Kind of out of the way for us, and we just chanced upon it by accident. Lots of restaurants in the shopping strip look like they didnt make it, or maybe theyre just still closed. This place was very clean, very mindful of hygiene, asking people to wait outside, etc., and the cashier was very polite. I could see into part of what looked like an exceptionally clean kitchen.We originally ordered just the Scampi a la Thai BBQ and Shrimp Fried Rice, since the menu we saw online from our phones while we were in the parking lot didnt show very many options. (Note that the price online said the Shrimp Fried Rice was only $6.25, which is not correct. The correct price was $9.95, which you can see on the printed menu, which I will try to upload.)When we went inside to pay, we saw the actual menu, which was far more extensive than what we saw online, and we added an order of Panang Chicken Curry. (After which we used the provided hand sanitizer.)When we got home, we were pleasantly surprised by how large the portions were. The Scampi a la Thai BBQ was very visually appealing, with generous amounts of large shrimp and broccoli, and somewhat fewer pieces but fresh and large pieces of cucumber and tomato. The Panang Curry at first just looked like a standard plastic cylindrical container with curry inside, until we opened it and realized it was nearly solidly filled with chicken meat, and not mostly soup as we were expecting.They tasted amazing! The Scampi, which came with a decent portion of shrimp fried rice itself, was delicious, and the ingredients fresh and perfectly grilled. The curry was spicy, not super spicy like some Ive had, but really tasty, and the chicken was perfectly tender. It didnt come with any rice, but I mixed it with the fried rice, which worked surprisingly well.The two of us couldnt come close to finishing. It was probably enough for four hungry people. One of our new favorite places, and we will definitely go back to try more of this menu!

To me it seems they changed since Ive been going there before, freshness of the food is not there anymore. The water glass smells and unpleasant to think that you are drinking a dirty water. The waiter cant wait to take the dishes out until we all finished eating, I hate that. It looks like they want you to go out soon after you provided them the business they need.They dont smile and project they are rude people.

If you are in the area and want Thai OK place to go. I wouldnt go out of my way to go there. More for the Western pallete if you know what I mean. Id rather get an In N Out hamburger.

There arent a lot of Thai restaurants in the area. We think that this is the best of them. It isnt spectacular but it has been decent and consistent in our experience.Our favorite dish is the garlic short ribs; its crunchy and tasty, better than the similar Thai BBQ spare ribs. Most of the pieces look like they have bones but do not, just crunchy meat. Still, watch out for the occasional actual bone.

Popular with locals, can be crowded for dinner on Friday or Saturday. Though its not clear from the menu, most of the dishes can be ordered as vegetarian. Serving sizes are ample, and the staff are very friendly. Family-friendly and easily accessible for the disabled.

Went here for mothers day. I use to live about 5 minutes from this joint and even use to walk here on lunch break when I use to work at OSH (sad face). I actually crave for their food, the S1, S2 and Pad See Ew Beef, the shrimp fried rice, ooooo n the fried catfish curry is so off the hook. I always recommend this place, my friends and family always go here. They are consistent, food is delicious, the place is clean and simple and the service is always pleasant.

For three adults we ordered Salmon with Rice & Vegetables, plate of chow mein, House special plate of BBQ pork ribs, seafood combo lemongrass coconut milk soup pot, appetizer of fried shrimp Rangoon. We shared everything and it was all delicious. The standouts were the soup - incredible depth of flavor, the coconut curry milk made amazing broth and the shellfish, mushrooms, ginger, etc. was delectable. The pork ribs were very tasty and the sauces provided were memorable!We will definitely be back!

The Thai food isnt very spicy here but has a lot of flavor. My go to dish here is the S1 bbq chicken meal with shrimp fried rice. Go during lunch on weekdays to get a real good priced lunch.

It’s just not what it used to be. The quality of food has gone down significantly, and it just doesn’t hit right. The bbq chicken plate had a bad smell, like uncleaned chicken and the shrimp was not deveined.

Everything Ive tried here has been tasty with flavor being too over powering. The curry Shrimp had just the right amount of curry and coconut milk. The Shrimp Rolls are perfectly fried, not too greasy, and the sauce that goes with it marrys the two marvelously!The prices are decent, dinner at about $11, and the service is how service used to be. Thai Original BBQ is definately somewhere you can go to repeatedly and savor something new, and not get bored. They deserve the 5 stars. Since they opened they have been consistent with quality of food and service. Hope the honeymoon never ends, and they dont start skimping on quality. I will definately be back!!

This hidden oasis of delicious food and good sized portions, is my favorite Thai restaurant in America. Order the S 5 dish and you wont be dissappointed. The papaya salad is utter heaven for the tastebuds. Be careful because the spicy version is legitimately hot and eye watering.

I only take out from here. I love the flavor of the pad see ew, thai chicken chow fun, but I can tell they dont use fresh noodles because fresh noodles dont break up into small pieces like they do here. There arent any great Thai places in this area, so this will have to do.

The Great S-8 debate. Chicken, beef or both. Both of course. Well we actually split it per 2 people we come here with.Despite having no relation to many Original Thai BBQ’s all across the west coast, the headquarters does offer franchising, the menu’s are basically the same and consistent. My early 20’s were spend trying the entire menu out in Vegas and now I just get an S8 and maybe split something else with my friends. The sate is the same, night, day, any Original Thai BBQ.Being that Filipino food is pervasive in Daly City I was sure I’d get my fix around midnight so we played Ro Sham Bo for where we would eat, Thai or Chinese. We would inevitably eat the other on another day anyhow so it wasn’t really a point of contention, just decision. We knew it was good, we’d been here before, but one thing I noticed was that the portion sizes have shrunk AND the prices have gone up. Ok maybe the later wasn’t enough to go caps on it, but the first part for sure. Since we go SATE each time, we noticed. I’d say you get a full 20% less meat per skewer and even one less overall. The amount of rice shrank too. Peanute sauce had declined on flavor. Oh lord, what had become of our consistent flavorful Thai place. The décor was the same, the service the same, the menu the same. Had the price risen with inflation, no, it had gone above the inflation rate, so something must have changed.We peered back at the menu noticing almost all the sides had gone from mid $7 to mid $8 with a few topping out just below $10. Veggie only dishes $8.50, no noodles, no meat, basically just sauce. This is Daly City, not the City. $10 for Tom Yum soup. Come on now. $10 for papaya salad. That’s a 5 ingredient dish. Tom yum soup is good, but needs more fresh herbs to garnish. Larb needs more shrimp paste, papaya salad also needs more shrimp.Ok now that I’m off my high horse the décor is inviting, dark walls, the tables are nicely separated and not to crowded in either room. Service is good, perhaps could be more attentive on the drinks and need of napkins.I took an extra star from them for giving less and charging more. I can understand if prices go up, but it’s a good thing my friends were less hungry because I was about ready to order another noodle dish just to fill up, I’d already had an S8 and eaten my 1/3 of the drunken noodle. Good thing my friends were less hungry and I ate another 1/3 of the noodles and that satiated me because I was close to still ordering another side. That’s how much things have shrunk.

Fantastic for the money. We had the Hawaiian curry, drunken rice, bbq chicken, and the garlic spare ribs. Everything was amazingly good. The garlic spare ribs were by far our favorite. Theyre little niblets of meat with a sweet and spicy sauce perfectly glazing a cunchy on the outside but tender and moist on the inside bite. This will be a regular place for me.

It is a ok place with mostly BBQ stuff. Its more of a Thai family restaurant with reasonable prices and big plates. But if you are looking to have a quiet time with your date or friends, I would not recommend because the place had a lots of kids running around and some crying. Big tables with families talking non-stop. They have a wide selection in their menu so maybe read what other yelpers recommend before you order because their food is soso.

I was surprised with the quality of service and food in this small restaurant (. We occupied the small room for groups and received an excellent service from the staff. The food are at par with the best Thai Restaurants in Alameda, Oakland and SFO. I have found my go to Thai place in South San Francisco. Highly recommended.
