This is a a really cozy spot with a welcoming ambience! I’ve been here several times and their food is not only amazing but also super aesthetically appealing. Their lunch combo portions would easily suffice 2 meals a day! I loved both their Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee but they are definitely more on the sweeter side.

Lovely place, very clean and presentable. Waiters were both very friendly and quick to attend. Food came quickly and was well presented. Loved the peanut sauce (husband and I). We ordered the prawn satay and Raman with side rice. So so good.. highly recommend. They also had our favorite wine 🍷 I love the side dishes of jalapeños, hot sauces and spicy things 😍

Everything about this place is authentic. Even down to making me feel guilty about being Thai and not speaking the language. Great full flavors. There is a distinct savory sweetness that reminds me of my moms cooking and this place has it. Wish I lived here and would make this place a staple in my rotation.

Ordered take out and food was ready for pick up within 20-25 mins. The staff was quite courteous.The food overall is great and the restaurant is quite generous with the portion of their dishes, when compared to other Thai restaurants. For a group of 4 adults, we ordered Shrimp Tom Yum Soup, Shrimp Roll, Beef & Shrimp Fried Rice & Chicken Red Curry. The amount of food was good for 5 (even 6 maybe).All the items were good and this establishment is definitely worth a visit.

The place was a great little find! Nicely decorated inside, clean and staff was friendly. We always I get a Deep Fried Egg Rolls, one Beef Salad and one Chicken Phad Thai. It was all wonderful! Beautifully presented, and the taste was delicious. Id definitely come back 👍😊🍴

UPDATE June 2021:Ordered Pad Thai with Tofu as take out. This has to be the worst Pad Thai I ever had in my life. Who puts broccoli in Pad Thai? The tofu was old. It tasted a bit sour and was not fully cooked. The noodles were overcooked. The most important part was their Tamarind sauce. Its so bad that buying Pad Thai frozen bowls at Target taste better. This place is an embarrassment of all Thai restaurant. If you want good Thai food, go to Siam Spoon down the street. They make their Pad Thai way better than this place. Only reason I ordered here because Siam Spoon are closed on Sundays. Dont bother going here.Order if you dont care for hair. Craving red curry, eating through half of it and found a long strand of hair inside the curry. PUKE. Disgusting. Probably wont order from here from now on. Who knows what else is inside the food.

Love everything in our order. We reached here after getting down from an early flight and my 2 year old was very grumpy. I insisted that the baby gets to eat first and the server did exactly that, fried rice in less than 5 minutes. Our order was vegan but boy was it flavorful.

I ordered the Beef Salad for pickup. I was quite disappointed with the size right when she brought the bag out and handed it to me. For 10.95 I expected a bit larger portion. As you can see in the photo, there are just a few pieces of lettuce. To be fair, there was a good amount of beef (though a bit dry), and the flavor was decent. Also, the bottom is filled with the sauce/liquid which leaves everything drenched in it. Not quite sure if I’d come back.

I get there, and I had to wait like 10 minutes (I was in a time crunch to get back go work) since they took so long I decided to eat in my car, and IT WAS NOT WHAT I ORDERED!I ordered Tofu and Cashews w/ CHILI & GARLIC SAUCE. It was literally boiled vegetables and 5 pieces of tofu with nuts. IT WAS SOOO WATERY!!! This was not Thai food or anything close to it. The tofu wasn’t even season and the rice was MUSHY. We ordered around 6:45 pm in a Sunday evening which most places in the area are closed. The person who took our phone order was very pleasant. Our order was delivered within 30 minutes! The order was package very neatly which was important bc we ordered curry dishes which can easily spill, which these did not. The yellow curry with chicken was one of the best dishes I’ve tasted in some time! So good I drank the remaining broth. Note: order a side of steamed rice since it’s not included. We also ordered the red curry (good but not as good as the yellow). The sticky rice with mango which was also delicious!! My picky kids also devoured the food!

Great Thai in quaint former Metropolitan Hotel on the corner of Grand and Linden. Easy Street parking and a few shops make for a nice after meal walk. Great stop on way to SFO.

Only half the food was decent, the other half was only mediocre. The papaya salad is really really spicy, so dont order it unless you can handle the spice. Curry dishes were only okay. I had the green and pumpkin curry. You should skip the dessert though they are not that great. You are better off going somewhere else to enjoy the dessert.

Best Thai food in South SF. Their fresh rolls & chicken satay are my go to. I was looking at the menu 4 years ago and someone walked by and told me it was the best Thai food they ever had, so I tried it & they were absolutely right. We needed a place to eat dinner after our flight out of San Francisco got cancelled. They did extra work to process our food vouchers from the airline. On top of that, the food service was prompt and the meals themselves were filling and affordably priced. Ordering directly from the website we have consistently received our delivery orders late (45 min plus). Tonight we ordered delivery (and tipped for delivery) and when it was 45 late I called they said it was actually pick up. I went in and showed them we had indeed ordered delivery, and they immediately had to jump on the phone and I couldn’t stick around and request some refund/ credit as we were eating 1.5 hours late. My dish, beef pang, was flavorful and prepared well but not spicy. There are numerous dishes. The wine menu is fairly basic. The beer options are domestic and foreign, bottles only. Expect to pay $6 for a bottle of Singha. Restaurant is clean and bright. Staff are usually masked.

I really enjoy this restaurant a lot. Very convenient location on Grand Avenue. The service is really good and theyre quite attentive. My personal favorite and go to is their yellow chicken curry with a side of rice. They do have a very extensive menu with a great variety, it makes me want to try out some of their other dishes. I also enjoyed the tom yun gai soup, which has such a tasty and unique flavor. Another tasty thing is their hot tea and the thai ice tea.

Stopped by here for a late dinner after picking up my mom from SFO. The food was pretty good, we got the shrimp pad Thai and garlic pepper prawns. I kind of wish the garlic prawns were spicier but they gave us some chili peppers that were perfect. The service was decent, I cant say it was great but Ive had worse. Overall, this was a good spot for Thai food. I would come here again if Im nearby but I wouldnt go out of my way for it.

Good location, I was at the City Hall and looked for healthier options for lunch. This spot is just a few blocks from SSF City Hall. Their menu is quite nice offering many healthy choices, vegan and non vegan. Service is great, friendly and prompt staff. Portions are big and the price is great. Some ingredients are not fresh, they do use mostly fresh veggies but some canned which is the reason why I gave it 4 stars. Complimentary salad was overly soggy, too much dressing. Next time I will ask for dressing on the side. Ordered salmon steak the portion was big enough to feed 2 people. Will definitely be back here when in town.

I am a decent Thai food consumer and have lived in San Diego for a long time so I have eaten at lots of different Thai places. We ordered 2 yellow curries via Ubereats. I dont mind the price if the food is good but it wasnt hence my 2 stars review. Every Thai, I mean every one of them has offered curry with a side of rice so I didnt ask for it or think of it. We got our order first thing I noticed..No rice..alright first disappointment, opened the curry, no vegetables absolutely none..second disappointment here. so no rice and just a bowl full of chicken..yaaaay!! not! so I called because I was curious, and yes you have to ask and odrer the rice separately ! We ordered by phone shorty before closing and walked from our hotel to pick it up. Friendly staff, clean restaurant. Chicken skewers were good even though we couldn’t taste any marinade or seasoning. The peanut sauce was tasty but we preferred the sweet chili sauce they provided with the shrimp rolls. The shrimp rolls were excellent! Unfortunately the Pad Thai was just a thick clump of noodles in the few minutes it took to get back to our hotel. We will definitely eat here again if back in town. This restaurant is latex free and safe for people with latex allergies.

I was largely ignored at every stage of my experience - took forever for the waitress to acknowledge I was there; then took forever for her to bring my beer (I had to ask twice); and then, after I received my food, she never asked if my meal was OK. To make it even worse, I was there early (5:50-ish) and they were not busy. Wow, Thai Satay is a fantastic foodie experience! Their cucumber salad, shrimp rolls, and, of course, their Pad Thai were all spot on amazing. You can order Pad Thai to suit your hot/spicy preferences. I chose 4 on their 1 to 5 scale and it was pretty hot but not overly so. 10/10 will visit again!

Absolutely horrible. They poisoned me even after I called ahead and asked if they were comfortable preparing a meal for somebody with celiac disease who cannot eat gluten. When I arrived and was greeted I was very thorough and let them know exactly what my allergies were and they assured me that they take care of gluten free meals all the time so I felt comfortable and trusted them but five minutes after taking my first bite I became violently ill and barely made it back to my hotel and now I have been violently ill for hours. And when I asked them if it was definitely gluten-free they said yes but I was already having the symptoms of a gluten attack and they eventually admitted that the tofu in my meal was deep-fried and cross-contaminated because they use the same fryer for everything but the waitress lied to me in the beginning and said that it was all 100% gluten-free so now I have to go to the hospital and miss the entire rest of the conference that I paid over $1500 to attend. thanks Thai satay.

Wish I could give this “Thai” restaurant zero stars. Not sure where to start, but the flies buzzing around the restaurant should have been the first sign. The waiter wasn’t sure if they could make vegetarian spring rolls and we should have stopped there. We ordered pad thai and it was swimming in Maggi sauce with noodles. The garlic pepper chicken was a grey broth with unseasoned chicken topped with almost raw, huge chunks of veggies. It was beyond tasteless and unappetizing. Authentic Thai food is delicious, and this is an insult to the cuisine. I’m guessing the cook is not trained to cook Thai food. The owner was not interested in customer service and didn’t ask why we were asking for the check with full plates of uneaten food on the table. I tried to tell him, but he just walked away. Will look at it as a $60 donation instead of a total waste of money.

Thai Satay is our groups go-to place for good catering and take out. Weve had large lunches here (20+ people) and done catering with them numerous times. The family that runs this place is really sweet and helpful. Food is always consistent and good. Is it the best Thai Ive ever had? Certainly not. But as compared to other South San Francisco restaurants, this is one of the top places. Their online ordering for catering is a breeze, especially because they clearly state how many people each try may feed. Not a place for people with allergy, especially dairy allergy. They dont know what is in the ingredients, very likely because they use instant spices and sauces and batters.Our kid has severe dairy allergy. We were assured by 3 employees that the chicken satay and the crispy calamari did not have any dairy in it. However, one tiny bite of the satay made her tongue tingling with pain. She stopped. After a few bites of calamaries, she felt another painful tingling. Again, she stopped eating.Back to the hotel, about 30 minutes later, she started having severe reactions, i.e. difficulty breathing, runny nose, painful chest and stomach, weakness etc. Fortunately we had her medication with us and could avoid a life-threatening emergency.No more Thai restaurant for us.

I had the Guey Teaw Rahd Kang, which was red curry chicken over rice noodles. The curry was decent. The coconut milk gave it a rich base, while the lemongrass and basil brightened up the flavor. They left a whole bay leaf in my bowl which might have annoyed someone else, but I easily just plucked it out. The noodles were a little soft, and the chicken was pretty bland and stringy, but the overall food was ok.
