Went for lunch soon after opening on Saturday. Service was quick, food tasted delicious. Would recommend anyone looking for authentic Thai cuisine. Plenty of options for vegetarians too.

The food was good and the portions were generous. It took about 15 minutes to get the food after we ordered. Our favorite was the pad see ew. The mango beef wasnt very mango, and the shrimp rolls were a bit boring. If you like spicy - the powder they have at the table is hot 🥵🔥. I personally liked the sour red sauce most from the 4 options.

Came here with a family of four on a weekday night! There was no line but still really busy.Food: We got the fried chicken and the eggplant curry and green curry and pad Thai! I definitely think the Star was the small fried chicken nuggets and the eggplant curry since they both had great textures and flavors and weren’t overwhelming or salty! We also got the mango sticky rice which was warm and fresh.Service: The best part! This place is family owned and the servers checked in a ton and were super sweet.Ambiance: A great place to take family and friends for some quality quieter vibes.Overall love the place and the options! I love supporting local businesses too.

Visited for dinner on Saturday night. All the dishes were well flavored.We ordered Vegan Mushroom Dumplings, Pad Kee Mao, Chomwein, Thai Ice Tea and Mango sticky rice.The dishes were fantastic and tasted great! Portion size was good as well.

Really great food! Loved the food! Mango sticky rice is delicious they get amazing mangoes. Drunken noodle (pad Kee mao) is also really yummy here. Their sweet peanut chilli sauce is also a must try.

Thai spoon is quickly climbing up the charts to being one of my favorite and reliable Thai spots around. I loved the pad kee mao - good balance of vegetables. I had ordered spicy hot level but it wasn’t that hot! Very good balance of flavors. I also loved the vegan mushroom dumplings. Nothing was too oily which is always an at risk parameter I’ve found at other Thai places

This has been our go-to Thai place for at least a decade! I called in the order 20 minutes prior to arriving, so when I got to the restaurant, everything was ready. I know most folks prefer to order when you arrive, but I figured Id save my self some time:)Since Ive gotten to know the owners, they make it a point to come out to greet me. Amazing new Thai place, great food at a great location at a reasonable price. I highly recommend checking this place out, its probably going to be my new go to location. First time trying this place. I read the review and took someones recommendation for their pad see ew. I would rate this 5/5 cause it wasnt salty at all eating this, made fresh and it wasnt saucy. Portion size is definitely an individual size. So you want to share this, its best to order 1 or 2 other things to keep 2 peoples stomach full.Definitely coming back to try their Mango sticky rice & chicken satay!They are currently only doing take out so there is no dine in.

Friendly staff, great food, drinks and mango sticky rice dessert.During this visit they were training some new staff which “they could’ve been a little bit more organized.”The server forgot to bring one of our Thai teas that were ordered & provided no bag for our to-go dishes..The noise of dropping utensils and plates by the restaurant staff, was unpleasant.

This is one of my favorite Thai places in South Bay. I’ve been going here since many years (2012/13 if I remember) and the taste has stayed consistent till date. It used to be $8 for the set lunch where you choose 3 veggies and rice. With so much inflation they’ve priced it at $13 now which is still a great deal I should say.If you’re looking for a tasty trusted Thai place be sure to check this one out.

Lunch specials are a great deal — 2 items for $12, 3 for $13, 4 for $16 plus choice of white/brown rice. You can even choose which item goes over the rice if youre picky about that. There may be a line, but orders come out quickly. Their physical distancing setup is well done: markers on the ground, only one customer allowed inside to order and pay, plexiglass around register, photos of menu items posted on the windows.

Great taste, great value. Spot on Flavors. This is not a high volume Thai restaurant that churns out bland flavors. Every dish in the lunch options has been spot on. Portions are very good so five stars on value. Vegetables TASTE fresh, not like leftover vegetables. A neighborhood place that seems to do a lot of takeouts, which I later realized why - the service is terrible! It is a small and inexpensive neighborhood place so I am not expecting Michelin star service. But I have seen bigger restaurants with the same number of staff make do by being organized. I went 30 minutes before closing on a Tuesday night, it took them a while to clean the vacant tables and get me seated with a menu. Then it took forever for someone to take my order; I would have walked out if I werent hungry and everywhere else was closing. My water never came, and I had to ask for it again when they delivered my food. Then they realized I didnt have a fork and napkin. Isnt it all done backwards? Most restaurants would set your table up with napkin and cutlery before seating you down with a menu. And bring you water while checking to see if youd like any other beverage. The drinks would also arrive before your food comes. Anyway, I wasnt the only one frustrated with the slow service, Two tables around me rustled impatiently as they waited to get the check and to-go boxes. The waiter kept apologizing to them. They are just all over the place, and there is no good reason as it is a small restaurant! I will return, but only to do takeout, as the food is actually quite tasty, but the service is worse than pathetic. You will need to have the patience of a saint, or just have all the time in the world. Not a place to have a quick meal.

Came for lunch with coworkers and dined in. Two tables over were green beans in a gray tub which remained throughout our stay. I’m not a fan of food prep in the dining room. Lunch isn’t the bargain I remember. The food is very good, and because one in our party was late, the rest of us finished early but no one came by to clear the rest of the empty plates.

Absolutely amazing experience for me and my wife, who just walked by this place. We were staying at the hotel nearby then walked to the comic store and saw how busy and noticed how good this place smelled. We ordered later that same day, got chicken satay, beef larb, yellow curry with tofu, and shrimp spring rolls. Everything was delicious and our order was ready at the perfect time. The woman working the cash register was very friendly. Definitely a restaurant we want to try again.

We used to come for lunch frequently and it used to be super great and convenient. But now they started to shrink the portion by quite a LOT. They used to serve good omelet but now only 3 to 4 little pieces. All the sides became ridiculously small. Will never come back again.

So delicious! I ordered takeout of the Red Curry Delight with 2x Coconut rice. Mixed it all together and it was a fantastic meal.I appreciate that they offer a no spice option for the curry. I loved this place! The staff was super friendly and really worked hard to please. We never had to ask for more water.I got the Red Curry Delight and it was definitely delightful! They had no problem customizing it for me (removed a couple of veggies and added others). I ordered it extra mild and it was perfect for me.And the Mango Sticky Rice was some of the best Ive had outside of Bangkok!We went around 7:00 on a Monday night and it was full, but we were able to get a table; its a small place.Will definitely be back when Im in the area.

This is one of the best thai restaurants IMO! Love their Thai iced tea, drunken noodles and red curry delight. They can make it extra spicy (I mean really really spicy, beyond normal human levels) if youre into it. Its a family owned restaurant and owners are super friendly.It typically gets crowded in the evenings, so I prefer takeouts. For lunch, they sometimes have special offers, mostly on Thursdays.

On 12/30/21 we ordered $100 of food and it was a mixed bag. Since Im generally an optimist, Ill start with the positives: garlic string beans were supper yummy and all portions are somewhat generous. Our favorite Thai place closed during the pandemic and my daughter likes Thai Spoons. Their Pad See Ew is very tasty.Now onto the major disappointments. Did I mention we love their Pad See Ew? Well we ordered 2 and got Pad Woon Sen instead! Im not a fan of silver noodles and we were extremely dissatisfied with this mistake. They dont even sound the same so how did that happen?! ...My benchmark for all Thai restaurants is Thai Basil Chicken (got to be made with ground chicken). Well Thai Spoons has their version where the sauce is soupy and bland - you can barely taste any Basil at all. Worse yet, they make it with celery so this time we asked them to remove it. But to no avail, it was nothing like most every other places with a dark sauce that is salty, sweet and spicy all wrapped up in one! Instead, here it is white and gelatinous. Not for me.

Awesome place. My favourite is the pad see ew, which they make perfectly. I have always ordered take out so I cannot comment on the in-restaurant service but takeout has always been fast and efficient even at the busy hours. Great price too. One of the first restaurants in Sunnyvale I went to and still one of the best.

If you like good, wholesome Thai food then this is the place to go. I visited this establishment when I was here from the East coast and this has to be one of the friendliest and most worth it place Ive encountered. I ordered red curry chicken with a side of white rice and it was perfect. The staff was all very friendly and welcoming, and the chef even came out to speak to customers. If you are someone that enjoys Thai food and good experiences, then I highly recommend you visit here.

Great family-run, local Thai place, but technically not straight Thai food, especially if you’re expecting Bangkok style. The style is more like northern Thai or Lao, so dishes will be less sweet.The lunch is fast, well priced, with a wide selection, and very good. You can order off the dinner menu, if you want fresher dishes and favorites not featured for the fast options like Pad Thai or specialties like duck curry.The dinner menu has a much wider variety than lunch and bucks the traditional Thai combos by allowing you to specify the meat or tofu you want in combination with the style. Dinner dishes may be slightly different then their lunch counterparts, but fresher and better.I’ve been going here for over 20 years. Don’t believe the people who give it 3 stars or below... they can’t be trusted.

My wife and I love Thai food, and this place had pretty good reviews. I dont know if the reviews are fake or if they were having a terrible night, but it did was terrible. We got the Pad Kee Mow, Pad See Ew, and hot wings. The only reason I didnt rate this one star was because of the wings, which were fairly good. The other two dishes, however, were absolutely horrible. They had barely any flavor and tasted like theyd been made two weeks ago. I definitely do not recommend this place.

This place is very good for lunch. Lunch has a great selection of very tasty veg and non-veg precooked Thai dishes. You choose 2 or 3 dishes along with rice. This place is also very fast and it is good also if you dont have much time to eat. You can be in and out of this place in 30 minutes and still easily make your 1pm meeting.

Ive been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and I consider this one of the finest places to eat. Not only is the cooking wonderful, but the atmosphere is fantastic for families. Ive brought my wife and daughter here often, and they enjoy their meals every time.Its hard for me to list my favorite dishes(since they consist of half the menu), but I would recommend the tofu & string beans, yellow curry, and the Volcano(I LIKE spicy food, especially ones that make you sweat).Overall, I have and would recommend this restaurant to my family and friends.

The brothers even own an ice cream place called Scoopzilla (I think in Westgate mall?) and gave us free ice cream scoops of their new flavors.. one with pandan and another with Hennessy! Thai Spoons in one of the best Thai food restaurants in the United States. Thai Spoon is a family owned and operated restaurant and by the taste and authenticity of the food you can sense the effort and love placed into the quality and richness of the taste. They use original Thai flavors and recipes. I enjoy their lunch ala-carte menu. My mother and I have been eating at Thai Spoon for over 10 years and every time we are greeted with high quality and delicious food, but also awesome service, and we are greeted on a first name basis. Its amazing to see the restaurant and family grow over the years and I hope that Thai Spoons continues to grow and continue to be a leading restaurant in the Bay Area.

Ive eaten here three times. The first time was great (yellow curry). Second was just, eh okay (pad Thai). Third time I ordered Tom Kah soup. I was super disappointed with the Tom Kah soup. I asked for extra chicken, and payed the appropriate fee, but did not ask for extra vegitables. When I picked up the soup it was not ready on time. When I started eating it I realized there was plenty of chicken and mushrooms, but no other vegitables. It was odd. Pretty much chicken and mushrooms soup. Other than the soup fail, I have really enjoyed the food here. Yellow curry was amazing!

The secret is the Gai Pad Ped, which I call Thai McNuggets. Been coming here for 17 years (wow!). Great little lunch options hot and ready. Pro tip you can get one of the curry sauces free on your rice, I really like the eggplant delight sauce 🍆🍆🍆. I consider it a hidden gem in the valley. Not much seating so consider it to go if you stop in at prime time.

Ive seen some comments about service but I dont have any issues with the service. I have been here about 15 times and its a small place, run by a family. When its slammed, you will have to wait for water refills but 95% of the time its smooth, friendly service. Food is worth any wait you incur and they have never messed up my order.
