My first-time visit. The space was medium and neatly arranged. Staffs were nice and helpful. Food comes up fast. The seasoning is strong, the cut meat is soft and not dry. Reasonable price not too cheap.

I always like coming here for their bbq chicken over rice with their imperial rolls. Super good plus their seafood noodle soup is also really good! Really good customer service, i’ve had to wait a while sometimes in the past for my order but i get to talk to the young guy with glasses who has always been there about Star Wars! If you’re craving Vietnamese Food, give this place a try, you’ll like it!

Ok, best in San Francisco so far. Had the spring roll and pork on rice noodles.. Greens and veggies were so fresh! The pork was delicately flavored and BBQ’d not cooked on a griddle or pan fried. The noodles were cooked to perfection, not overcooked and soggy or sitting somewhere in the kitchen and rubbery. The spring roll was crispy with a hint of I believe some sprinkle of pepper, not oily and greasy or rancid. Peanuts were nicely roasted peanuts, and fresh light green tiny mint leaves (2) used sparingly for just a nose to the dish. Thanh Thanh Cafe meaning clear pond or blue skies, aptly named, even I can see clearly. The food didn’t come fast like fast food diner, good things take a bit more time.Cám ơn rất nhiều.

It’s a family owned restaurant and they were so nice to us. We came here after supporting a friend running marathon and they were kind enough to chat & ask more about the runners and gave us their support. Not to mention that the food was also bomb!!!

Simple Vietnamese breakfast-lunch on Clement, noodle soups are specialty. Though a relatively limited vegetarian/vegan selection, the staff is clearly enthusiastic.Spicy noodle soup with 5 different meat-alternatives. Vegan broth, while good, not the most flavor-forward.

Egg & Tofu Bahn mí was delicious, fresh crispy bread, tofu was juicy, jalapeño’s not too spicy and it had the perfect ratio of filling 💚 10/10

I love this place! The food is amazing and the family that owns it is so kind and sweet. I wish I lived closer to it so I could eat there more often. I highly recommend this place! My favorite thing is the tofu vermicelli bowl.

Food is authentic and good. The same level I usually get in my hometown in Dallas, Texas. Would recommend if youre craving for Vietnamese food. I ordered special beef noodle soup, crab noodle soup, and egg rolls.

We found this restaurant when we were driving around at 4 pm looking for a vegan friendly place that was open. It turned out to have a lot of vegan items in additional to meat dishes. My vegan friends had tofu sandwiches, vegan vermicelli and vegan pot stickers. They loved the food and encouraged the owner to promote their restaurant the SF Vegan Society. I also liked my lemon grass chicken with fried egg. The staff was very nice, attentive and friendly.

Updated review 2/5/2022: We love coming to Thanh Thanh Cafe because they open early at 9:30am. Thats cool because we tend to ride our bicycles early and we dont have to ride down to the lower avenues on Clement to get a hot bowl of noodles for breakfast. Indoor dining is finally re-opened! No more sitting out in the cold at their single sidewalk table. For breakfast, we had the beef noodles $12, sate pho $12 and imperial rolls $8. Everything tasted great. The staff is friendly and gave the children candy after our meals. The bonus is, theres a popcorn chicken place next door with boba/fruit drinks. 23rd avenue is closed off to car traffic and Thanh Thanh is right there. Their noodles are something we look forward to during our ride. Im so full now, I need to take a nap.Updated review 10/2/2021: There was a crowd in front of Thanh Thanh Cafe around noon today. It took them about 15 minutes to make my combo sandwich. We were going to eat at their single table outside like usual but it was too crowded. We ended up biking to the Marina Greens and enjoyed our sandwich there. The bread was soft with a crispy crust. Plenty of meats and Vietnamese vegetables inside. Too bad we were too far from Thanh Thanh Cafe at that point, because I really would have loved to get another sandwich.Original review: Brunch at Thanh Thanh is always a treat. They used to open earlier at 9am. Now they are open at 9:30am. Indoor dining is still not available yet. The young waiter does not anticipate opening for indoor dining anytime soon. They did add one single table for outdoor dining. We had a Vietnamese coffee, spring rolls and pho. The only drawback is they served it in to-go containers even though we were dining there. At least this time we didnt have to resort to eating at a neighbor restaurants parklet. I still love the food and service here.
