First visit, recommended by a local Seal Beach business, glad we went here.I had the meatloaf sandwich, on the “special” menu. Nice thick slice of meatloaf, served hot, chewy Parmesan coated grilled sourdough bread, mildly spicy sauce. The fries are the skinny ones, just average.Very good, friendly service. Would give this place 4.5 stars, if I could.Clean restroom.Recommended.

Popped in for a quick app n drinks sesh. Some of the clientele is grumbly, but once you get past that them, its a good place to chill with a couple IPAs and apps. We had the streak Asian nachos and bang bang shrimp. Both were tasty little apps and went well with the drink by DIPAs. We will be backe to try some more of the menu. Definitely give this place a try.

My husband and I didnt realize but we came for happy hour, it was after 2:00. We each got the 805 beer which was fantastic. We got the discounted meals. my husband got the sliders ($9) which were delicious and I got the buffalo chicken and french fries for $6 happy hour price. we enjoyed our food and wed come back if we lived in the area.

The Abbey is a delightful find in Seal Beach. We loved sitting outside and eating and meeting the people and their dogs on the patio.The inside seating is good with a nice Cheers-style neighborhood bar.The service is excellent and the servers were perky and helpful.I ordered the healthy artichoke and spinach salad. The dressing was excellent. My husband enjoyed the turkey burger.We highly recommend this hidden gem.

Love the atmosphere at The Abbey in Seal Beach of a Main Street feel with stores and restaurants on either side. Everyone seems happy. The food is fresh and you can find healthy dishes. The homemade soups are amazing. I will be coming back to this place as much as I can. I love soups. 🥰❤️

We ate here on Oct 14th. Heidi was our server and she was fantastic. We were able to sit at the only outside table and it was perfect for soaking up the cozy beach town atmosphere. Pizza and beer were A+. We look forward to returning.

The Abbey is usually an excellent experience. Although a bit disappointing this visit. Ordered a supreme me pizza. Not very good. Blah. Boring. Little flavor or character. And skimpy toppings. Like they were rationing. Nonetheless what saved the experience was the pale ale & the consistent excellent service. Avoid the pizza. Stick with other menu items. Youll be fine.

Lunch in Seal BeachCame here for lunch with the family.Sat outside in front off the restaurant.The Abbey can accomadate 25 outside withAbout 30 inside including the bar area.I only saw 2 servers who were super busy.They worked well together.... The owner you should thank his or hers lucky stars having employees of this caliber. Everyone knows many do not want to work....The food was great and worth coming back again. I had the Philly steak.. My wife had open face hamburger. My sister-in-law had the house salad. All were happy with our selection.Everyone should come by and pay their respects to our servers. They were hustlers working their tails off to satisfy their customers on a Sunday!!

The atmosphere was nice the food was good but a little over priced based on my portions, I ordered the Beach Sliders, they were tiny and needed some seasoning. Overall they were okay but not mind blowing. I was starving and 2 wont cut it if youre looking for a serious meal. My fiancée got the Buffalo Ranch Crispy Chicken Salad. It was okay not my cup of tea but if you like salads then this one is for you. Probably wont be coming back to dine at this restaurant based on this first time visit.

I live in walking distance and thought Id try the asian nachos. Had something similar at a popular joint in Hawaii and these Nachos were just as good. Also they had a good selection on tap, the Chimay hit the spot for my Friday night relaxation. Ill have to come more often and try out more.

My phone got stolen out of my purse on the dance floor and they wouldn’t let me friend into the bar. This women who was security tried to get 60$ out of my friend to get in since her ID supposedly wasn’t valid. Her Id not being valid (which wasn’t the case she could get into other bars) should not be the reason she has to pay. The lady just wanted money in her pocket, she also assaulted/ harassed us. I had a horrible experience both times I went won’t ever go again. Not safe

We tried twice to eat here over the weekend. The first night, we put our name down and the young lady said it would be 15-20 minutes. 45 minutes later, we just walked away to eat somewhere else. The following day, we called in to request a reservation, and were told our name was on the list with 4 people ahead of us that it would take 15 minutes. We drove right over and got there 10 minutes after putting in the call. We check in, and the same young lady says itll actually be 30 minutes from now. A manager or someone hears her and says ummmmm no? This is about an hour wait.I hope the food is worth the wait, because we never found out.

What a neat place! I had the dinner version of their beef skewers. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. Al Dente. The highlight of the meal for me was their fire oven baked chocolate chip cookie. I am posting a photo of this most amazing creation. I sat at the bar across from the oven and watched my cookie baking. It was served with vanilla ice cream and fresh whipped cream with a chocolate drizzle. This cookie all by itself makes a return visit a must!

Went here with the family, not a long wait but when we were seated waitress was cold and quick to address the table next to us she was not friendly and not welcoming at all. The other waitress with the blonde hair who was waiting another table was more attentive which was nice. However she just made our whole experience uncomfortable so we wont go back or recommend it unfortunately. Server was shown as AM F on receipt but she was a older lady with tattoos.

We went there for the first time on Labor Day and it was swamped. The service was outstanding. It was so hot, over 90 degrees, and the waitresses were still smiling and running around swiftly to get things done. Bravo! Food was great too. Thanks to the chefs. I only wish there was help to at least bus the tables because man were the waitresses working super hard.

Asian nachos are a good starter, but dont get their salad with the articokes in it, the taste is horrible because they use canned ones and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. We can never get enough of their Asian Nachos with chicken. Chef Padilla is a gem. Once (like 5 years ago) there was a special called Sweet Thai Chili Mac and Cheese. It was so good I ordered two to go!This place is the only one I know of that has Frambois on tap. Such a treat! The staff is so friendly. You genuinely feel welcomed.Its a small venue, so be prepared, if youre visiting at a peak weekend night time, to wait for a spot. The locals frequent the bar and they have a lot of catching up to do!Trust me, it will be worth the wait! (.... get the nachos!!)

Service was quick and attentive on a Sunday night. Food quality high, with a tasty grilled Caeser salad though the chicken add-on was slightly overcooked (dry). My friends pizza was massive with huge chunks of tomato and looked fantastic; he finished it in spite of better judgement. Came here on a Saturday in seal beach to eat. Walked in all the tables were full besides one table. I sat down with 3 friends a waiter rudely came over to our table said if we don’t have 6 people we can’t sit there. Really? Your going to treat customers like that. I have lived in seal beach my whole life and will never come back to this place again. I guess if your not spending a lot of money they don’t want you. which 3 people eating would have been close to $100. I will take my business else where not some bar/ restaurant that’s not even that nice. Thanks for the bad experience. Will never come back. Yours truly seal beach resident.

Our first visit here was a Friday night date night for dinner. I woulda thought this place would be slammed for dinner at 6 p.m. We were very fortunate and found a table immediately.Of course we had the Asian nachos with chicken. Washed down with a Hoegarden on tap. My Petite Red Headed Passion Flower split the Chicken Caprese sandwich with sweet tater fries.Service was very timely, our server was on top of it. Not overbearing. The host was engaging and and had some suggestions for our future visit. Food was delicious and our request to split the sandwich was rewarded with two plates with generous servings. We probably could have made a meal out of the Asian Nachos. I enjoyed picking through the selection of draft beers (although I am scratching my head over the IPA rage thing plaguing selections all over the planet) I cant wait to go back to try the wood fired pizza that has beer in the dough. The fish and chips look awesome too!Great local vibe, cant wait to take my best girl back!

I met my cousin here for drinks one afternoon and ordered food and a glass of wine. The wine wasnt good at all and I asked to exchange it for something else. When I asked the server/bartender to do just that he told me that they wouldnt do it, but that I could buy something else.
