Great little restaurant with international choices for breakfast. Being from Hawaii, the Loco Moco caught my eyes but then I saw the SOS, which my dad said he always ate in his Army days, then theres a Filipino breakfast, homemade corned beef and so on. I went with the SOS, which was like biscuits and gravy but was served barely warm. That was my only gripe about it. If we were there for more days I definitely wouldve gone back to try something else.

Food was fantastic. Service and atmosphere was amazing. We were served almost immediately after we were seated. The food came quickly as well. The payment process is extremely efficient. No wasting time waiting for your card to be ran. Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Absolutely delicious! We went here for a late breakfast while we were in the area and will definitely be going back again. The service was great and the atmosphere was too. The apple cinnamon waffle was amazing, and I would go back for it alone.

My son and I pulled up right when they opened, we had a great breakfast, pictured is the Filipino breakfast, and a hot link scramble and a chicken sandwich with Sriracha honey sauce. The food was great, the service was absolutely amazing. Only wish they had a 3x lumpia shirt.

Stopped here on our way out from visiting Monterey and so glad we did! Best breakfast all weekend. Plus the staff was friendly and quick. Definitely would go back next time we’re in town.

Since we dont like to wait and its a busy place, we got here early and got seated right away. Im sure the place had a cool vibe, but I was focused on food. All of the food was incredible. I will be coming back for more. I ordered the pork belly and eggs. The strawberry jam is made in-house apparently and was very tasty. Not over the top sweet. I cant remember what my husband ordered. We also shared a plate of the special key-lime pancakes. Those had a hint lime and were just scrumptious. My child had the chocolate banana bread French toast and according to him it was super good. Service was good overall.

Busy place with fast and friendly service, delicious fresh juice apple juice however the waitress never asked me the size and served me a small one then put a big one on the bill, it was solved easily though.I ordered chicken and waffles with SOS sauce, good but I was not impressed… will try a different dish next time!

Such a gem! We were visiting my son at DLI and his friend recommended it. 10/10! My children had the chocolate banana bread French toast (I may have stolen some, unbelievably good), my husband had biscuits & gravy (loved it) and I got the eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was ok, but still delicious. Take time to go, you wont regret it!

EAT HERE!!!! We lucked out on stopping here for breakfast, we had an amazing server (tall African American male- sorry we forgot your name!). He was very attentive, quick, and kind. We loved our food and loved the “vibe.” We also lucked out because we got here right before the rush came around 9 am. We had two kiddos under the age of 3 here and it seemed like a very kid friendly joint. We’ll be back and can’t wait to bring friends and family here. Mahalo!

So this place is a solid breakfast Joint. I would definitely return return only if I was out of other choices to explore. Im a harsh critic because I travel around the country and try different places. Best chicken of waffles I had in Portland Oregon. These were okay in comparison to those in Porland. Another big reason why I would return would be. Because I saw a chicken club Sandwich that looked amazing. Id come back to this place. Worth the try. Cozy feel. Very friendly staff, prices are generous considering the portion and quality of the food (approximately $12-15/person), warm atmosphere, and very enjoyable. I recommend getting on the worker before you head over. It can get backed up. The pictures dont do the food justice. The biscuits and gravy were perfect! Super fluffy biscuits, more than enough gravy, perfectly made eggs. Chocolate Banana Bread French Toast: OMG, amazingly wonderful, light and fluffy with amazing flavor, not overly sweet. When they say Golden Waffle they mean it: absolutely perfectly golden and delicious. Lovely experience. Happy bellies. Didnt get a picture of the fourth menu item: corned beef hash. But we all tried it and its definitely worth it.

Put your name on the list on Yelp. We went on a Saturday morning and the wait was about 90 minutes. We placed our name on the list before we left out hotel and checked in when we arrived. Once at the restaurant we had to wait for about 30 minutes before being seated. (Dont think we waited the whole 90 min).The restaurant is pretty big and has the capacity to server large groups. We were just a party of two. Overall it give family vibes, very open, and plenty of windows.Had the eggs Benedict and Honey had a scramble with a pancake. Would recommend the egg Benedict, they were made to perfection. The pancakes were filing.Definitely would come back.

Very friendly place with great food.We were driving from Monterey to San Francisco and decided to stop by for breakfast. Loved it! Had the tri tip breakfast sandwich with chimichurri, carne asada fried rice and strawberry and banana pancakes. Everything was perfect.

5 stars, one of the best places to eat waffles, everything was perfect, even the juice I had asked for tasted delicious. It is also cheap for something this good. I always have an amazing breakfast here. They always get my fried over easy egg perfect, with a perfect sear on my steak for a medium rare.This review is specifically regarding this morning’s Chicken and Waffles breakfast. It was served piping hot, with fluffy butter and sticky syrup. I also got a side of gravy…because that is how Southern girls eat! I loved the crispy and fluffy waffles, but the chicken (although it had a fantastic coating and was dredged and fried well) wasn’t what I was expecting. The chicken was paper thin/flat. It was good, but I was a little disappointed with the flavor and texture overall. Don’t get me wrong, the flaky coating and seasoning was great, but it was the chicken itself. I definitely would have preferred a single fat chicken breast than two paper thin ones. You can’t get the true flavor from the chicken, dunk it into the gravy and eat it with the butter and syrup and taste it all. The chicken flavor and texture was hidden. It would be worth ordering again, just different than what I was expecting. So, just a little head’s up for all you Southern Chicken & Waffle lovers.

Outstanding!Power out in Monterey (3/10/23) so I drove to find a breakfast spot. Had and omelet …was excellent.The place was cranking but one of the managers was backing up the server….knocking it out of the park. I wasnt impressed with the Butter House restaurant. Although the customer service was excellent the quality and taste of the food just wasnt good. I decided to order the pork belly adobo and fried rice. The pork belly didnt have any hint whatsoever of adobo and the fried rice may as well have been plain white rice. I also tried the lumpia which arrived burnt to a crisp. Whoever does the cooking absolutely does not know how to make fried rice. It lacked flavour and was pretty much plain rice. The restaurant was extremely crowded and the atmosphere was not anything special. This restaurant was a Sizzler steak house many years ago. I also ordered a waffle with berries and the waffle wasnt good. I dont understand all the raving reviews for this restaurant because the food I was served was definitely not good. This restaurant was recommended to me by the cheesecake place in Marina but maybe they are unaware about the poor quality of the food being served at the Butter House. I wont be returning.

A nice, cozy spot for breakfast in Seaside! Our server, Ruben, was phenomenal. So kind and friendly always asking how we were doing. The lumpia were fresh and crispy. Nothing is more satisfying and fun than a Sunday Brunch with friends. I went to The Butter House @TheButterHouseSeaside for some food for a late Breakfast. I got the Chicken and waffles with white gravy. My friends got the Chicken sandwich and the Spicy Jalapeños burger. We all shared the Lemon curd and blueberry pancakes. Every thing was fresh and delicious. The pancakes were so good because they contrast in flavor. For drinks, I got the watermelon lemonade and my friend got blueberry Italian soda. They really have updated look of restaurant when it use to be 50s Diner! Looks great and modern. When you go in they have an electronic reservation app for you to sign your party in to be put on a waiting list. They have an array of Phillipino food and regular American favorite breakfast and lunch items! Great portions, food was delicious and service was wonderful and friendly. Its busy so try and make reservations ahead of time ESPECIALLY during weekends.

Super yummy! We were staying in Carmel By the Sea and ended up going to Safeway where a beautiful pregnant women recommended this place. The drinks you see are apple cider with pear liquor and an Irish Whiskey. They were quite tasty. The cider was my favorite. Chilequilles were so good; great flavor, grand portions. The chicken and waffle and the beef patty with white rice and egg were both mediocre. We had it with chorizo gravy which was super thick. I wouldnt recommend that dish. But the rice made with butter and breakfast meats was delicious you should definitely try it. The waffle with the apples was yummy and everyone was very nice. We are so glad we stopped in!

They remodeled the place since the last place moved out and it looks very nice.Food was great. They dont have too many keto sides to choose from, but that is often an issue with breakfast places. No cottage cheese like places usually have though :(. Fruit was fresh and tasty. SOS was very good and their scramble was great. Wanted some breakfast/brunch food. Didnt want the tourist spots. Love the Asian/Hawaiian influence in their food! Hash browns were hot and crispy. 4 star because they let us in even it was a minute to closing. My kiddo ordered BLT and he said it was good. I ordered adobo pork belly fried rice and it was ok. When you are starving all food taste good but i was starving and wasn’t super satisfied. Some crews are friendly but they can definitely improve on a lot of things like thanking customers when they leave. When you thank customers when they leave, we think are business is being valued and more likely we come back. Maybe i have to come back again to try and see if their breakfast items are good.

Shrimp and grits was tasteless to the point I sent it back and just didn’t order anything else. Plate was covered in grease and dust you could visibly swipe up with your finger. Server was overtly uninterested, fake, and apathetic and only recommended the most expensive dishes and drinks on the menu. Said their breakfast sandwich wasn’t good. How does a brunch restaurant have a bad breakfast sandwich?? Tried the lumpia too, it was average. Flavor of everything overall was unsalted, unseasoned, and had no personality. Spices? Never heard of her. Only got two stars because the other people in my group said their pancakes were good. Waited for 30 minutes after checking in with entire group. Not going back.

This place knocked it out of the park on every level. There’s a sign out front with a QR code to join a virtual waiting line before you even walk in, which was easy and helpful. Every single member of the staff was friendly, and the way they communicated with each other gave the feeling that they weren’t just being fake with customers. The whole place has the feeling of being at a family dinner that just happens to be inside a restaurant. Every single item that hit our table was 10/10….pancakes, chicken and waffles, carnitas scramble, and the biscuits are CRACK!! I’m used to dry, crumbly biscuits from most places, but these were soft, moist and so damn good. Even the orange juice was freshly squeezed and not what I’m used to from restaurants. The portions were big and the service was fast and attentive, but not overbearing. Multiple people passed by to refill my coffee throughout the meal, and we were never left waiting long to ask for anything. And when we did ask, our requests were met with a smile and not what has the become the standard of feeling like you’re bothering someone for asking them to do their job. 10/10, I’d eat here a few times per week if I lived here.

We went for an early morning breakfast. From the time we checked in until we were seated was about 45 minutes. I had the ham and eggs. My husband had sausage and eggs, and the kids had chicken fingers and a pancake platter. The food was hot, but not especially tasty. First time eating here and wish I had tried it sooner.Had a good experience from the time we got in line on their website butterhouse.com, to getting a courtesy call about the type of seating for our group of 7, to being seated.The food came out promptly, hot and fresh. Everything was presented in a mouth watering way and tasted even better. We had garnitas scramble, pork belly rice, carne asada rice, and items off the kids menu. The lavender lemonade comes with free refills and tasted great. I love places that offer something special that doesnt have alcohol in it.

Paid $31 for one meal, OJ, tax and tip.The steak was one of the best Ive ever had; crispy, crunchy texture and the meat is so tender, you can cut it with a fork.The country gravy was a FLAVOR DISASTER. Texture like wheat paste and not a single sign of any spice. A grocery spice pack would have been better. This was a slog and i scraped it off to avoid the remaining.How does a place with such glowing reviews produce terrible COUNTRY gravy? Are they trying not to spice offend any customers? Country Gravy SHOULD actually have spices in it.I have never been to a restaurant that ruined the flavor profile of a country gravy to the point of being inedible. SMH

Something different and a hefty portion to enjoy!I have read the previous reviews. For some reason, people feel that when a restaurant opens it will have everything working like a well oil machined. News flash...it is called a soft opening for a reason. Coming into a restaurant during their soft opening with over reaching expectations is ignorant. If there are things where they are lacking, try to be a little supportive and offer constructive criticism and try being positive. That would go a long way versus leaving scathing reviews. We will be looking forward to visiting this place for many years and watching it grow and thrive. They will get better and better as they mature as a business and restaurant.

Great service. Sub-par food. Ordered special which was recommended. Crab cake and avocado benedict. Asked if I should get that or TBH Benedict which had prosciutto. Server insisted crab cake. Service was prompt and helpful, but the Benedict.... the hallmark of a Benedict is rich, delicious, generous hollandaise. This was utterly flavorless. The eggs were overcooked and jelly-like inside. The crab-cake was an under-seasoned, soggy mess. Quite possibly one of the worst Eggs Benedicts Ive ever had, only slightly edging out Black Bear Diner.To his credit, the server passed along the info and gave a slight discount as he was able. Ill give it another shot in a few months to see if anything changed.

First time in the area. Looked up a breakfast restaurant near my hotel. Found this place and decided to make the trip. Im so happy I did. They offered outside dining and were very attentive. Great place. Not so great location but the food is worth it. Make sure you make a left when leaving or you end up on a very narrow street trying to get back to the freeway. I ate while traveling so relied on GPS. Let it find you and reroute. All in all Id give a 3.5 if that was an option due to my omlette by itself being a 3 star item and lack of heat on a 50°F morning, but I dont feel they should be penalized for the rating systems lack of a half star option.Ive posted pictures of the menu and the third item we ordered to go. I got the chocolate banana bread French toast, almost busted a nut at how good it was.Staff was great, food was ready quickly, prices were good. One of the best breakfast places I have ever been to, if not, the best.Solid 11/10 from me.

I wish I took pictures but this place was great. Got the pork belly fried rice, spouse got the marcianas fried rice, delicious. Kids got waffles and French toast. All very good. Overall amazing experience.

Do not judge a book by its cover!! The outside of the restaurant does not match the inside.Really enjoyed our breakfast here. They were quite busy but we were seated and served quickly with personality. We had the chicken and waffles and fried rice (non adobo one). The chicken was moist and well seasoned and the waffle was nice and crisp, I took it to the next level when I got a side of gravy. The fried was was good but I felt it would have been better with a sunny side egg (my wife ordered scrambled) so I would recommend that. We got a side of biscuits and they were warm and flaky and a must order.We return next time in town and would recommend this over from scratch.

My husband and I grabbed breakfast here on a Monday morning which was great because they weren’t super busy, I get the impression this place is slammed on the weekends. The food was excellent, he had the biscuits and gravy and I had the chicken and waffles. We saw some people get the breakfast Fried rice and while we didn’t try it, it looked delicious. But the best part was the service. I feel like right now it’s super hard to keep service up because of how understaffed everyone is but they were on their A game and we appreciated it. I’m sure it helps being a week day but they were clearly working a pattern and following up with every table - they know what they’re doing there for sure.

This place is awesome. Filipino/American mixed flair food. How could you go wrong? The house Benedict is amazing, fresh fruit and lumpia WOW! You gotta try this place

We were in town visiting from Riverside Ca, and ended up coming here 3 days in a row. The service and the food were absolutely great! Tried different items and no matter what we got everything was delicious. From the lumpia, spam rice to the chiken fried steak. We cant wait to come back into town just to have breakfast here again. Awesome job guys, and the service hands down some of the best weve had!

The food here is really, really good. Creative and tasty takes on American diner fare. The staff is awesome. Best shrimp & grits Ive had in a long time; especially outside of Louisiana or my moms kitchen, to be real. 🤷🏼‍♂️The big downside is this place is expensive. The food is really good, and you get plenty of it, but it was ~$50 for just my partner and me to get breakfast there. Ill go back, for sure, but Ill know the price range I should expect.

Quite honestly the best diner Ive ever been. The food is amazing. The staff is efficient and polite. Our food came out lightning fast. Their menu has so many good items its hard to choose. They have really creative mimosa flavors. Make sure you join their wait-list ahead of time via their website so you dont have to wait.

Absolutely wonderful eggs Benedict! On east coast time so came super early, right as they opened. The potatoes are likely the best Ive had.HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

Our waiter kept telling us our food would be out soon (3 times) over a span of 20 minutes, which is not anywhere close to a definition of “soon”. After paying I checked the bill and saw that we paid for the wrong bill, and ours was about $15 less than the one we received. He seemed pretty clueless about what was going on in general. It was very busy so I understand running around everywhere, however anytime he checked on us it was almost like a drive-by? He never stopped at our table to talk to us, he did so on his way to another table. The name on our bill was Cesar, however I’m not too sure if this was his name since he never formally introduced himself to us when we sat down. Overall, there was a huge lack of effort to make our dining experience comfortable.

Everything was amazing, fast friendly service, wonderful food. Highly recommend the waffle with strawberries, the syrup was even good, but oh my that butter... yum.
