The Capital Grille in Costa Mesa

Lovely dinner at The Capital Grill in Los Angeles. The food was wonderful, and the service was on point.I had the Tomahawk Veal Chop, and my guest had the aged rib eye. My cut of meat was exactly what I was hoping for. It was cooked and seasoned beautifully over a bed of mushrooms. For appetizers, we shared the calamari and the tuna tartare. The tuna was fresh and light, while the calamari was hot and crispy.

Well, well, well, after blowing my budget at the Lego store (those darn plastic bricks are so addictive), I found myself at The Capital Grille thinking, Geez, I hope this meal is worth more than a box of Legos. And let me tell you, it was! If youre looking to feel like royalty, just take a seat and let the waiter/tress sprinkle some magic service dust on you. Seriously, I think my water glass was refilled before I even realized it was empty.I attacked those mashed potatoes like they owed me money, and they didnt disappoint. Then came the delmonico steak and the kina crusted steak. Let me just say, those steaks were like the superheroes of the meat world – tender, juicy, and oh-so flavorful. Im pretty sure I heard them sizzle all the way from Vegas and back! Sure, the prices might make your wallet shed a tear, but trust me, its worth every penny.

We hosted a dinner for over 50 people in the private dining room of The Capital Grille. The staff were exceptional, and the food was excellent. I love calamari, and the calamari appetizer was delicious! The salmon served over a bed of vegetables was perfectly prepared as well.

We’ve been here plenty of times but each time we just enjoy ourselves so. This year we celebrated the big 7 years of marriage. Our server Tommie was exceptional, food excellent. They even decorated our table. Thank you Capital Grille for making it special. I would have given the atmosphere a 5 star as well but just just so loud makes it hard to hear each other.

Food and service is good. Had 2 different steaks and crabs for starters. The dessert was a coconut cream pie that was mediocre. Need to go here again to explore the menu more but was for sure a good experience.

Anniversary dinner was amazing. Jasmine provided excellent service and we couldnt ask for a better experience.

Incredible food and fantastic service. I attended a corporate event there and everyone loved it. I think our lead server’s name was Tiffany and she and her team attended to us professionally and kindly.Their meat is incredible and delicious desserts.

What can I say... Capital Grille is always spectacular. The service is 1st class, World class! The food is so amazing. I had a 16oz bone in filet... To die for ...When we couldnt decide on desert and asked for the check out server brought us a sampling plate, and it wasnt even on the bill...We LOVE Capital Grille Costa Mesa!

Mar 21 - Tonight we went back to Capital Grille for a special occasion and had such an overall great experience (after a bad start) that I am changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Our reservation was for 7 people at 7PM. We arrived early and sat down to wait for our table in the bar area. They let us know it would be a little while as the parties at the larger tables were not leaving. At 7:30 we were still waiting and tables were still not leaving. They offered us drinks and bottled water and assured us they were doing their best. At 7:45 they told us a table was being readied for us and that they wanted to offer us complimentary appetizers for our patience. We told them our appetizer preferences and were soon seated and the appetizers were served and were fabulous! Jaime took great care of us and our dinners were delicious and dessert was awesome! What could have become a very negative experience was handled very professionally and totally turned around. We enjoyed our meal and time together and left very happy and satisfied.

Made a reservation for my husbands birthday. Our first visit at another location in Seattle was an amazing experience, so I decided to have dinner here. The vibe here is a little different from the one in Seattle, but the food and service remains the same quality. We loved the birthday table arrangement and will have our next celebration here again.
