Yes! Finally, someone who makes fried chicken like a Southern grandma!The fried chicken livers were the best - cooked to perfection. Catfish nuggets were juicy inside and crisp outside. My husband said the Buffalo fries were a new idea to him, and he wondered why he hadnt thought of it first. Great combination!We called our order in and got it much faster than we anticipated. And bonus - dessert is a couple doors down (say hi to Mary!).Disabled parking is available not too far away and everything is on one floor - no stairs to climb.Were definitely adding this place to our rotation!

First visit here. We were thinking of a fish and chips Sunday. I ordered a couple beer battered cod plates to go. Got home, and the food was still hot and crispy. They definitely do fried food well. Definitely recommend if you are looking for some good fish and chips. You actually get two sides with the meal but is was cheat Sunday so fries all the way:)

A small family owned restaurant that sells chicken, fish, calamari, shrimp, etc.. I tried the 10 wings for $17.99. They were cooked fresh and tasted good. The fish I feel is still better.

I have heard of this place for awhile now but never tried it. Its near the Costco we go to. We called a few times and it was busy, so we drove there instead.Well worth the trip guys!We ordered bone in fried chicken, dark meat only, the 6 shrimp and 6 oyster combo with hush puppies and fried okra. We also added 6 wings wet spicy and the fried gizzard giblets.Wow! Everything was tasty, freshly made and blew my mind! Definitely coming back!Oh also the prices are very decent, not over priced at all. I got everything for $40.99.

Great little place in a busy mini shopping center in Santee. Average prices and good value.The food here was actually really good! We had the chicken wings with sweet chili sauce, fried chicken with mash potatoes and gravy, fried battered cat fish with onion rings and an order of fried gizzards. So.. theres a lot of fried things here but also a lot of other things such as sushi, vegetable dishes, seafood and some non-fried options.Everything was nice and clean, service was friendly and fairly quick and the chicken was excellent. Thus their name, The Chicken Shop. Overall, I highly recommend this place to satisfy your fried chicken fix if youre in the Santee area. Will be coming back soon!

First time here and we will definitely be returning! The chicken is moist and full of flavor. We ordered the side mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra and gizzards all of which was delicious! The portions are huge and the food is served fresh and hot!

If you love fried chicken and other fried things, get over here! It’s finger licking good!The chicken has the perfect amount of batter on it and it’s fried to a golden crunchiness. But, still juicy inside. Never dry. Besides the fried food, they have slushies! So yummy and refreshing! They have lotsa flavors. Our G-daughter loves them.This is a mom n pop shop. Friendly fam. Drop on by and then grab a donut from Mary’s a few doors down! But then you might have to run a few laps. …and then you can come back again!

Wow, I’ve heard how good the chicken was here, but damn. It’s good. Fresh, Hot, made to order. Crispy, delicious chicken. If you’re looking for some good fried chicken. This is the spot. The chicken was still juicy. I don’t have anything bad to say about this place.

Slow quiet establishment in a strip mall next door to a New York Pizza establishment.The chicken has basic fried Chicken. There is no seasoning in the batter - no salt pepper no other seasoning, and this is pretty bland for me; however, it is fried to perfection.The mashed potatoes side is beer basic instant mashed with brown gravy which was a little on the dry side and bland.The macaroni strawberry and the cheese is not tasty. Pretty sure this is incident as well.They do have a good selection of Stubborn Soda brand. I have the cream soda which was good and my husband had the acai berry soda.It is Wednesday, September 7th, and 82° outside. No air conditioning in the building. Only fans are situated on the ceiling. It wasnt too pleasant eating hot fried food inside a hot warm atmosphere.Overall, I felt like I wasted my money and did not feel satisfied with my meal.

This place was across from my dentist and we were starrrrving so decided to check it out. Got the 2 piece cod w shrimp. Seriously blown away, so so good!! So good we ordered to go so my dad could try. Service was fast and friendly as well! Def will be coming back :)
