Excellent breakfast burrito. I ordered the breakfast burrito with the Tolucan green chorizo. Such an excellent choice! I wasnt sure what to expect. When you see the pictures of the chorizo, it definitely looks interesting, but the taste is delicious. Although the burrito was excellent, I was impressed with their green salsa. I dont know what was in it exactly (tasted like cactus with a little bit of sweetener and spice), but it knocked my socks off. Im fortunate to have friends in Pedro that tell me about places like this. I think it was a hidden gem years ago, but now its gained quite a following on Instagram. Its a grab-and-go place. Parking is on the street. We parked less than a block away. They make their food with love, so be prepared to wait a little bit.

Super tasty breakfast burritos. I got one with green chorizo and other one with chipotle braised beef. Good amount of meat and really hit the spot. Pro tip: eat in right away so the tortilla doesn’t get soggy. Place is an absolute gem. 5 stars.

This is tucked in a residential area. So parking might be a challenge. Ive searched for the green chorizo for quite a while now, so when I finally discovered chori-man, I was really excited to try. Got there about 7:45am, and found parking in the front, ( which is only 15 minutes) I had the the green chorizo breakfast burrito ( I should of added beans) the potatoes, chorizo, and the eggs were all cooked separately. The egg, was a fried egg, cooked with a little yolk.. it was great. The soyrizo breakfast burrito was flavorful as well. Neither were greasy. When Ive had soyrizo prior to this, it usually seemed like the flavoring was masking the soy. But the chori- soyrizo breakfast burrito had great flavor. The price was a bit high, but quality was good. The size was, I felt a little small, but Ill definitely be back when in the San Pedro area. We traveled 30/45 minutes to get there. Since its only take out, we opted to eat with a scenic view of the harbor and ocean..great ambience ..they sell chorizo links and in bulk. I decided on getting bulk green, and maple habanero, look forward to making it for breakfast.Update:So I made the habanero maple chorizo this morning, and it was awesome!! It had a hint of maple and then the flavor and then finally the heat. It was not over powering and was very flavorful. I finally know what real chorizo is or at least what its supposed to be. Its definitely not that store bought chorizo that liquefies into orange grease- chori-man chorizo is some darn good chorizo, I will definitely be back for more

I have now been here twice and both times were amazing! The first time we got the green pork burrito, and the pork maple habanero burrito. Both delicious, though I will stress the habanero IS SPICY HOT. Be warned if you have a weak spice taste. The second time (yesterday) I got the Sunset Sammy. It was, without a doubt, the best breakfast burger I’ve ever eaten and I will be getting it every time from now on.

Wanted to grab a burrito to eat looking over the ocean and happily found chori man. It is a to go spot, so ideal for takeaway as there isn’t really a place to sit there. The staff were incredibly nice. The gentleman that brings out the order really goes above and beyond to be kind and helpful. An happy to report the food matched the service level. We had a breakfast burrito and chorizo burrito and both were delicious. The chorizo did get a bit spicy for me toward the end but luckily I had a nice horchata to wash it down with. Will definitely be back!

Im just gonna be real: I wanted to like the food so badly, but this is consistently the worst, most overpriced food Ive had in all of San Pedro. Almost any other option is at least 2x better, and for a lower cost.Chilaquiles: not actually chilaquiles, they put non-fried (aka instantly soggy) Doritos instead of actual fried tortilla. This leads to a truly miserable dish, not a single crunch could be found even when fresh. Ive tried this twice, both times were terrible. Oh, its also $15, about $2-3 more than other places. Want sauce? Thats an extra $1, and the sauce container is low quality so spills in the bag.Chicken adobado burrito: almost entirely beans and rice, hardly any chorizo, cheese, onions, etc. Somehow still $14?? Any of the food trucks or Mexican restaurants will give you a better burrito for about $8-11.Horchata: completely meh, not entirely sure this is even horchata. Probably, like the chilaquiles, a b astardization of what you think youre ordering. Whichever seasonal flavor it has when you order it, is more of a hint of that thing.I dont understand why this place has good reviews. I want to believe its solely because of their off the shelf chorizo options, because eit isnt for the food. Save yourself time and a lot of money, go literally anywhere else.I wish I could charge back this place for the food I got today - it was inedible, and I frankly feel scammed.Staff is friendly, just wish they had a single dish worth ordering or even worth the money.

Get the Chori-Man breakfast burrito! The green chorizo is pretty good, but my favorite is the braised beef. I tried a taco of all the meats except the red. Maple was a little off putting for me, too much Maple flavor. Argentinian was interesting, think it would be better in the burrito. The jalapeno relish is really good! Street parking in neighborhood, outdoor seating.

Chori-Man is a chorizo specialist tucked into a residential neighborhood in the middle of San Pedro. While a bit off the beaten path for me, Ive now been twice, and if I lived in San Pedro, this take-out spot would be a problem for any aspirations of mine for a healthy lifestyle.Chori-Mans breakfast burritos are becoming legendary because theyre awesome, especially with the houses maple habanero chorizo. I consider myself lucky to have stumbled upon Chori-Mans tortilla-wrapped communion of spicy and sweet maple habanero sausage, sautéed crispy breakfast potatoes, and fried eggs in a rich and spicy sauce made of the mixture of runny yolk from the eggs, melted cheese, and sweet maple-infused grease from the chorizo. Calling this the best breakfast burrito Ive had in Southern California does it a disservice, as it may also be the best all-around burrito Ive had in L.A.What else makes it so good? For their burritos, Chori-Man uses a steamed flour tortilla, similar to a true Mission-style burrito -- Im not talking about the Chipotle version of steamed tortilla, but rather properly steamed tortillas that become sticky enough that their edges seal and bind together, holding all of the ingredients in place, so that the burrito can be easily be lifted and eaten with ones hands without spilling or breaking. The steaming process in Mission-style burritos affects the flavor of the tortilla in addition to the texture, making the tortilla more a part of the burrito and harmoniously fusing it with the burritos innards.Lets put it this way: Chori-Mans Maple Habanero Chorizo Breakfast Burrito was so good that, earlier this week, I woke up on my birthday and drove 2 hours to San Pedro so I could have it again, as I could think of nothing that I more wanted for breakfast. Thats right, I allowed myself an unlimited budget and drive time and, out of anything I could have eaten for breakfast anywhere in Southern California on my birthday, I chose the breakfast burrito at Chori-Man (and then drove to Rocios Mexican Kitchen for Chilaquiles con Mole Manchamanteles, but thats a future review).Of course, Chori-Man also serves their chorizo in lightly-griddled corn tortillas in taco form. My experience with their tacos has been mixed, with the Maple Habanero Chorizo Taco being the best of the bunch, by far, for similar reasons to why the breakfast burrito made with the same sausage is excellent. I recommend punching it up with the Habanero Salsa available in the shop, which is more medium than fire, but adds some fresher flavors to the taco.The Tolucan Green Chorizo Taco is my second favorite chorizo taco here, mild, and reminding me more of a garlicky Polish sausage than Mexican chorizo. The Argentinian Chorizo Taco was also decent, ironically the closest to what I think of when I think of traditional Mexican chorizo -- salty and savory, but here much leaner. I recommend the houses sweet and spicy Jalapeño Relish on this taco. The Zacatecano Red Chorizo Taco is dominated by a heavy amount of clove flavor that I didnt care for, and the Chipotle Braised Beef Taco tasted way too musky, almost non-beef like. I dont know what happened, but I dont recommend it.My advice? Stick with the breakfast burrito, it takes something I normally dont care much for (chorizo) and elevates it to an essential component in a well-executed edible package of perfection.

The Chori-Man in San Pedro has the best breakfast burrito in town. I had my burrito with Portuguese chorizo, very mild and delicious. You can choose which flavor chorizo they have about 5 different ones.The tacos are also very, very good. Everything is fresh and you definitely taste the quality in the food.

This place is absolutely amazing. Small lil mom and pops shop. The owners are locals and Im all for supporting small town business in my city of San Pedro. They have the best breakfast burrito like ever! Excellent customer service with smiling faces and if youre lucky youll get to see an adorable little cutie at the ordering window. I was truly taken back by the taste and the quality my taste buds were crying tears of joy during every bite I took. Highly recommended and now I see why. Im definitely going to add this into my regular rotation. Job well done to the Choriman and all of his staff.

I had the maple habanero chorizo breakfast burrito. It was good, but the sweetness threw me off. Id stick to a traditional chorizo next time. The egg and potato was cooked well. Id be interested to try something else on a future visit. Parking is in a residential area with narrow streets.

The breakfast burrito is the bomb - love the crispy home fry potatoes in it. It’s a rare indulgence though; this is heavier than my usual food intake.The soups are nice here. A small, soup with chorizo is $10.67; as of April 2023We keep coming back for the breakfast burrito. I came here and bought green and maple chorizo breakfast burritos. Theyre pretty good for the price.I met the owner long ago while was still selling burritos in the Flower District. Im glad the formula hasnt changed much. Although I do miss the super spicy sauce.If youre in the area, its worth going here if youre not in a rush. The chorizo is among the best Ive tasted.

For those of us Pedroite meat eaters, Chori-Man is the alternative to the boring everyday meat or sub/sandwich. An uncomplicated menu that delivers quality, flavor and novelty (should I say Chori-Novelty?). No soda drinks here, much better solution is the digestive jamaica, or you can have horchata. We had quesadilla (YumYum Yum) and chorizo tacos, i binged but surprinsingly my digestion didnt kill me, which happens with most chorizo out there. Icing on the cake? Affordable!

I have lived in San Pedro, my entire life and I have heard of this place, but I just started going there myself. I found this place a couple of months ago and I am completely upset. It got to the point where I was having to do three of their burritos a week and I’m still not tired of them. The thing that I love the most about it is that they have the perfect portion of ingredients in their stuff. When I get the most is the maple habanero breakfast burrito and it is so damn tasty, it melts in your mouth. I can tell that they use quality ingredients and I am never ever disappointed in this. Sometimes on Sundays I get a couple of breakfast burritos so that I could warm them up during the week. Because it’s autumn, they have some specials right now with pumpkin Horchata and pumpkin spice arroz con leche. It is absolutely amazing. And for the first time I finally bought two different types of meat so that I can make some things at home. To top all of this off, the owners are present and on site. I was able to meet one of the owners today, and she is very very very kind and that makes me that much more excited to give my business and support his business.I recommend this place. It’s absolutely in my top 5 favorite food places in San Pedro.

You are pretty much brought here by their breakfast burrito, simple as that. Not much seating because its a really small shack but the food is phenomenal. I got the meatless chorizo breakfast burrito. Made to perfection, my own reaction of self talk caused a stir haha. I went on a Saturday morning and luckily I was able to find a table.Parking: street parking only in the neighborhood.seating: It is outside and there is like 3-4 tables but it also share with a coffee shop next door.

Everything this place makes would be in the running for my last meal.The breakfast burritos are divine, they make it YOUR way and to perfection. with their choices of chorizo (and soyrizo) you will need to keep coming back to figure out which is your favoritetheir specials couldnt be better. for the Superbowl they made chorizo queso and salmon chowder. Ive tried all the breakfast burritos and I can say hands down with confidence that the chipotle beef is the BEST one. It might be the perfect breakfast burrito--runny eggs, a lil melted cheese and best papas. The beef is nice and tender. Perfect amount of spice. Top it off with salsa to give it an extra kick. Once you go beef you cant go back.

I have lived in San Diego, LA and Tucson. These city’s pretty much rank one, two and three on the international breakfast burrito power ranking index. I have had more breakfast burritos then I would like to admit. I must say, Chori-man has one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The chorizo had a little kick and was not greasy, like many are. Also, instead of scrambling the eggs it looks as if they have done them over medium and roll them into the burrito so you get the gooey yolk along with the spicy chorizo. Delightful!

The third time is truly the charm frankly my other two visits there left me wanting but I knew there was something there and this time I found my personal mix: the Tolucan Green Chorizo. This place is not your mamas burrito place this place is artisan. Quality has declined in the past 6-8 months. The chorizo and beef is delicious but the tacos are greasy and often fall apart. A year ago this place was unbeatable as far as taste and quality but after recommending to my neighbor and having them experience the same issue I know its not just me. Its disappointing to order tacos for your family and bring them home to fall apart while your eating them. Hopefully the quality is restored to what it was a year ago.

OMG!!! We got the quesadilla with soyrizo and the breakfast burrito with maple habanero chorizo. Both have changed my mind on what chorizo is and can be. So flavorful and delicious, with a bit of a bite, in a good way. We previously had the green chorizo, also amazing, and I cant wait to try everything else. They even have a killer clam chowder. We will be back.

Ive never craved a breakfast burrito before until I tried their breakfast burrito with red chorizo. LET. ME. TELL. YOU. SOMETHING. they use black magic to make these burritos amazing!!! This place is amazing! Thanks chorizo, all hand made at the shop, is delicious. They even have soyrizo, if youre vegetarian.I just had a special fried kimchi quesadilla with soyrizo (you always pick your meat). It was delicious! Just the right amount of spicy, in my opinion. But if you need more heat, they offer jalapeno and habinero salsa.Go early, cause it gets busy later in the day.But go, because you wont be disappointed!

Went in today for the Thursday $1 tacos. I ordered 3, after I paid for them the cashier (short chubby Latino kid who doesnt seem like he wants to be there) I noticed I was charged almost $2 each. When I asked him, he said its because I had to order 4 to get the $1 deal. I told him that I wanted to get the deal and would get another taco so he could adjust my bill, but he said cant do that just like that. The chorizos are great, different varieties that I have not had before. The braised beef reminded me of a good birria. Then to top it all is the artisan cotija cheese, out if this world!!! My girlfriend lives in San Pedro, and mentioned The Chori-Man on one of my first visits. It wasnt until the morning after Thanksgiving I was able to drop in. I figured the 3 tacos for $5 would be the best way to sample as many types of chorizo as possible in a quick visit. I had one each of Zacatecano, Argentinian white, and Tolucan green. I mean GREEN. Its really green. I also got a cup of coffee. All three were delicious. I goofed and didnt try their salsas. Next time. The coffee was good too. As good as the food was, the service was amazing. The friendliest, warmest group Ive come across in a long time. Real happy I finally got to try it out, Ill be back.

Really cute hole in the wall next to a bakery. Had heard good things about him when he was at crafted so stopped by. Got 1 each of the green and red breakfast burritos. The green was really good and different from the usual chorizo flavor with the pablano chilis but the real winner was the red chorizo. Easily the best have ever had!
