We have been 3 or 4 times since theyve opened. Service is always great!The last 2 times weve had Stephen as our server and Amanda behind the bar.Fantastic in every way. Seriously, those two rock!The food options might be a little limited but everything weve ordered has been done very well.Yes, sometimes drink service when seated at a table can be a little slow but theres usually only one bartender there (at least when weve visited) and the bar is a decent size, not to mention that many of their cocktails arent simple or quick to make. Its never been an issue for us, we just order the next round before the current round is empty!Well worth a visit if youre looking for something a little different from what is available in town!

My husband and I came here one evening for our honeymoon and had an amazing experience! We are all about eating at places with both great food and a beautiful view, and the Copper Room did not disappoint.We sat up at the bar top and our server was very kind and eager to give us recommendations on both drinks and food. Terrys Mai Tai and the Strawberry Fields Wine Cooler were SO good!Get the Garlic Shrimp Toast. Its incredible.I accidentally left my purse at the restaurant, and when we came back our server had told us that she ran out to the parking lot to find us and made sure my purse was up at the front for when we returned to get it.We cant wait to come back here the next time we are in California!

Visiting Joshua Tree from Los Angeles for the weekend so we made sure to book dinner at the Copper Room for our first night. For some reason I had missed it during prior visits and that was a mistake on my part. It’s been open since 1957 and has a ton of history associated with it. It was a popular stop for the golden age of Hollywood crowd and is right next to the airstrip. They have a large parking lot so there will always be spaces available. They have a large round bar as well as many different types of tables so the crowds at both ends of the restaurant can be very different. The hostess and our server were both really polite and did a great job. 20% service is already included in your bill as well.The only issue we had with our meal was our entire order came out at once, even though half of that was ordered as appetizers. For our meal we chose the Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Garlic Shrimp Toast, the Pilot’s Burger, and the a side of fries. The lettuce wraps were very tasty and a good start to the meal. The shrimp toast was surprisingly good and was seasoned perfectly. The Pilot’s Burger was the star of the meal however because of the bone marrow component in it and the fresh veggies. I highly recommend it.Overall a great meal in a truly historic setting. It’s worth a visit at least once for anyone coming into this area. I plan to be back next time I visit.

When we were first greeted by the host, we explained that we had tried calling and she said, we dont have a phone only online reservations . A snide remark on her behalf. (Blonde with ponytail in pinstripe shirt and black dress)The rest of my visit and dinner was great. Great service from our server (Tall gentlemen with curly hair), great food, and great live music! This is a great place to go. The service was quick and friendly. We had margaritas and then for the main course I had a cheese burger and fries. The fries were hot and crispy and large enough to share between two people. The burger was basic but good.The ambiance was great here so if you’re just coming for drinks it’s great for that as well. I am a tourist but if I ever do come back I think I will chill in the bar area, it looked fun and the views of the airport runway and sunset were nice.

Cool vibe, good food, good drinks... and outstanding service. It was a busy night, but man the servers and bartenders are on it! Im pretty sure the bartender never stopped moving, he was like lightning making drink after drink. Multiple servers checked on me (without being pushy). And the live jazz band was fantastic! The revamp of the Copper Room has bloomed into a regular night out for myself and my friends. The decor and ambiance was done with such thoughtfulness, and they’ve got regular music on Sundays, among other events. The food is delicious (and reliably so!) without costing an entire day’s paycheck. Great spot to take visiting friends or for a local date night. We are always treated well here. Keep it up y’all!

Really classy place! Just full of aesthetic details. The food, also really top notch and interesting. Excellent selection on the menu. Great vegan choices here. Really nice view during the day looking out toward the landing strip and hills from the bar. Really cozy seating areas. There was love music when I went on a Wednesday and it was fun. Definitely a great place for a date or to hang out with friends. Theres a nice backyard area with plenty of room. Really felt more like I was at a fancy retro lounge in Palm Springs. Highly recommend this place as a must see place while in Yucca Valley/Joshua Tree. The shishito peppers, chili crisp cucumbers, and the tofu sandwich were incredible. And they even had gluten free bread for me! The staff are also warm and friendly and well dressed people.

The food is great and we had an attentive waiter. I recommend the Garlic Shrimp Toast. Be aware there is a 20% service charge automatically added to your bill that you cannot opt out of. It is on the menu in smaller print and the waiter tells you again upon bringing the check, but I don’t remember seeing this charge online anywhere. It was almost $20 added to our check, which made a difference to our total and willingness to tip.

Had the tomahawk steak, a couple of appetizers, some sides and a member of party got the burger as well. Everything was great. Steak Served table side. Came straight there after a snacks and drinks at local bar who recommended the restaurant because of the chef. I recommend the old fashioned. We had an amazing day of just snacking and drinks enjoying the atmosphere - music - and the view. A lovely Jazz night. We went on a Sunday. They were a little busy when we came but the hostess was accommodating and got us seated immediately. If ordering a Tomahawk it can take an hour to cook. We suspected this in advance and let them know we were ordering one when they got our drink order. Food was timely and prompt for our different courses. I thought the cost was great for what we got as we tend to order very specifically and they had everything we could hope for.

Cozy place for dinner or drinks. It was busy, and service was not great- we received our entree side 10 minutes before appetizers arrived. The menu was limited. For pub food we all agreed that it was not a great value for the money. A chicken cutlet with salad on top was $30! There were four of us- two of us had a burger & drink and fries… two of us had cold noodles that we thought would be hot, with and water. Two appetizers for the table. Mandatory 20% tip; $67 per person.

We waited for a long time to get our order taken, we didn’t even know who was our actual server, the host took our orders then nobody really checked in! The host seems very rude, she didn’t even apologize for all the wait we experienced. With 20% gratitude already included, you would think they would make an effort to make you feel it was worth it.

Food was mediocre, hangar steak was not cooked to order/ broccolini’s were overly seasoned. Our drinks were good and music and ambience a thumbs up. Again, the food was just not it! Both plates were served about 5 min apart… huge NO! The service was also not great, we saw our server to order food and to drop off check. Not once did he offer refills or asked if we needed additional requests, which btw we got drinks from the bartender. The jazz music was nice. Also the 20% gratuity that’s added to all guest checks would be appropriate if the service was top notch or if there was teamwork involved.

Tried it for the first time yesterday. It was an amazing experience. The drink that was a margarita type was so delicious and hit the spot. Our favorite food was the starter of shrimp completely recommend. Every person there was attentive and answered my questions. Sat at the bar and the bartender was Awesome so thank you so much. What a wonderful discovery on our trip back from Joshua National Park. The food was so fresh and really amazing ! My husband and I had the Goddess Salad, the best hamburger and bread pudding we’ve ever had. The ambience has the original 1960’s vibe with Frank Sinatra music playing. Tip no. 1 is make a reservation if you want to eat. This was my first time dining here after a couple trips for cocktails. Its a God send in that its a spot for a real meal in Yucca Valley that isnt fast food or a down market local spot (which I love of course, but typically for breakfast or lunch). Its in town so more convenient than trekking up to La Copine. The vibe here is always top notch and its very lgbtq friendly in a way that hasnt always been the case up this way (Ive been coming up to Yucca Valley for 20 years at this point.) My steak was fine by major metro standards but great for this area, and the drinks and sides were thoughtful and interesting. Enjoyed my martini. Def check The Copper Room out next time in the high desert but book ahead for sure

What a roller coaster of a dinner. Was so pumped to try this place out. It has everything. History, setting, ambiance, etc. That all lived out to expectations and the drinks/martinis were phenomenal. Food, while slightly overpriced, very solid.Where everything went wrong was the service. In my few decades of going to restaurants, I’m not sure if I’ve ever had as terrible of a service experience as I had here. My wife and I had reservations, checked in, and waited 15 mins to be seated. That was ok because we were able to grab drinks at the bar and wait. We finally were seated, then were not checked on for 30 mins. We had to flag the host down to take our order. Food took another 30 mins to come out, but it was delicious. We finished our entrées, wanted to order a second round of drinks, but no one bothered to stop by. We waited 15 mins, and finally flagged someone to get our check. They dropped off said check, then proceeded to chat up a different table for 10 mins.In total, it was a 2 hour experience, an hour and a half of which was spent waiting. This place could be great. It just needs an overhaul of the service/host.

Nice place. Wasnt told about it 20% service charge until I finished my meal. Talk about hidden fees. Too upscale for a small town. There were 2 previous businesses (Wine and Roses, Touchdown Tavern) there in the last 20 years or so before they took the place. How can they say since 1957 when they opened this year?? The unnecessary 20% service charge would really add up with the more money you spend there. Save your appetite for when you get home.

When you first walk in the atmosphere is just coolest vibe. Jeffrey met us at the door. I had made a reservation so I had the front row reserved table. The drinks were so good I got the strawberry filled wine cooler and the Keewee syrup and it is delicious. It’s cool refreshing not overbearing my friend got the margarita the food was on point if you try the triple ice cream the chocolate one taste like cool thick brownie batter is so yummy. I got the Copper room steak, medium rare, and it had broccoli with it and it was to die, for it really was so tender and delicious and my friend got the crispy chicken noodles though she’s like I want to chicken cold but it doesn’t it comes warm it’s not a cold salad but they accommodated her which I loved because I was like what the heck and they were so wonderful about that request make my chicken cold they make everything fresh. They have two chefs. It is magic and you can tell this is the local, cool vibe watering hole that you would never expect walking in as a five star gem. Thank you for the wonderful experience. You’re wonderful personalities serving us and I will be coming back. My Airbnb suggested this and I am grateful for this experience was great. The clientele is pretty cool. This is a must must stop by you must stop in and just check out the room and it’s self and then be dazzled by all the extras. The yummy drinks, the yummy food it won’t let you down.

This has become one of our favorite places up in the towns off of CA-62 in the high desert. This place has a nice mix of old and new, which I love. I love that the actual building and atmosphere has been left relatively untouched, harkening back to older, more lounge-style lighting and seating (which there is plenty of!), but the menu and energy is very much contemporary and hip.The drinks and food weve had during the few times weve been so far have all been excellent, and is probably one of the best places to get legit crafted cocktails, in the high desert but also when considering the entire Coachella Valley down below. The staff are all super nice, although I will say during busy periods, weve noticed that service gets a little squirrelly, but the one time one of our drink orders never made it in, we had some items compd on our bill, so that was extremely nice of them.For food, weve had the shishito peppers, the artichoke dip, the shrimp toast, and the bread pudding with their vegan ice cream and caramel miso toppings, which is easily one of the best desserts Ive ever tried! Weve gotten it twice already. Everything came out fresh and delicious, albeit the food can get pricy, but what isnt these days, I guess?Overall, stop here if youre in the area and maybe sit outside on their patio area overlooking the Yucca Valley Airport airstrip, the views are gorgeous, especially during sunset.

Fun, medium-sized bar/restaurant/entertainment venue in Yucca Valley, pretty much right off CA HWY 62 on the way to 29 Palms. The service is very friendly, and the food items are on the somewhat organic/sustainable side of the food spectrum. The bar is definitely well stocked. The drink I had, a mix of bourbon, aperol, nonino aperitivo, and lemon, was delicious and was served in a smaller, long-stem cocktail glass that reminded me of how martinis were served in the 50s. According to the waitress, there is live jazz music every Sunday evening, and for that event reservations are strongly recommended.It was a pleasant Sunday lunch experience for the three of us.

I’m a local and go here regularly because I enjoy the ambience and 50s diner style food. The prices have increased and it’s making me wonder if I can afford to go regularly… Now a burger is $18 without fries which I feel is very high for a casual dining spot. The Copper Room feels less like the quality restaurant it is than a movie set, or a time warp.Welcome to the 1970’s, right down to the music which is just loud enough to give you nostalgia cramps as you dine on creatively cooked American fare.It reminded me of the bar in the movie “The Right Stuff,” or “Rosy’s” from Boyne & Thompson’s novel “The Wild Blue.”In stark, exciting contrast the clientele is young, hip, and dressed to the nines.A slightly stand-offish hostess led us to a table near the bar where a waitress took a minute to get to us. I’m definitely not coming back.The menu is very small and the most appealing and expensive item on the menu stops being served at 9pm no exceptions, which is not written anywhere and was a disappointment. Especially considering there were only 2 other entree options and a few appetizers. We ordered basically everything else on the menu and didn’t get our order right, but we couldn’t finish a single plate because it was just very bad and ruined our appetite.Our waitress also disappeared for 45+ minutes and reappeared REEKING of alcohol and could hardly speak straight. We would have ordered more drinks if we could but there was no service for most of our night and by the time our drunk waitress came back we were more than ready to leave.It felt like this place just didn’t want to make money and there was no sense of communication or teamwork among the wait staff.

New owners have turned this old bar into a cool retro creation. Bar is up front and still inviting, dim lighting provides for ambiance, plenty of seating and the place was busy. Limited menu during their soft opening with plans to expand offerings as they move forward. Tried their burger and fries and they were done well, served hot, plenty of drink options. I think we may have been the only locals but always happy to see others enjoying our town.

AMAZING. Hands down the best place to dine in the Joshua Tree area. The food is insane - best steak I think Ive ever had anywhere (and Ive dined at some of the best restaurants around the world). Other highlights were the lettuce cups, the spinach artichoke dip, the burger and the shrimp. Theres a warm, inviting atmosphere where you can sit at the bar, have a martini, watch the sunset amongst the mountains and view the small planes flying in and out of the little airport. I found out theres a jazz band on Sunday evenings, cant wait to go back!

I work for some of the owners, and I visited the bar at the opening. The wrapped chicken tacos were so good. It was a portion that didnt leave me much room for the huge hamburger, which had the perfect amount of char. My coworker really enjoyed her spinach and artichoke dip and tofu burger. The sunset through the panoramic windows over the mountains is worth giving up a seat at the retro booths, in my opinion.

The Copper Room is a beautifully restored bar/restaurant located at the historic Yucca Valley airport which is sure to be the new hot spot in town. They did an amazing job capturing the nostalgia of an era while bringing in some new modern drink and food choices and some fun options for seating; from booths, to a lounge area, to their curved bar, and even an outdoor fire pit. Went in last night for dinner, wanted a table and was given a buzzer to alert us of our turn to be seated. It was suggested by the host we sit at the bar and get drinks while we waited. Our buzzer never went off and we watched people who came in much later than us get seated immediately. Service at the bar was a little better, so we returned our buzzer after 30 minutes of watching others who came in after us get seated before us and stayed at the bar and ordered food there. However, even upon returning the buzzer, the host never acknowledged or even apologized to us for overlooking or more or less forgetting about us. Decent food but this place is really just about the “hip” vibe.

What appeared to be a bouncer? escorted us inside to our seats. not sure what his job title was but it felt very odd. the menu was small (still using soft opening menu) and the prices exorbitant. for lack of better options we ordered burgers. they arrived fast, but they were cold. we told our server and she suggested it might be because of the lettuce and other “cold topping.” the manager eventually touched the table and offered to reheat our half eaten burgers (we declined). in short the place is a rip off and the decor is depressing. its like they were deliberately trying to be cheap, mid century, worn out, but in actuality it’s dead. it feels like a really bad hair salon, wrong from so many angles. AND they automatically add 18% gratuity without telling you- just don’t do it.

The cocktails are also amazing, especially the martinis and tiki drinks! The space itself is a mix of funky, retro, classic and cozy that makes you want to melt into a barstool, stay for a while, and enjoy some music. I cannot recommend it enough!

No red wine. One kind and it’s enough to make you gag. Atmosphere old old Menu has nothing in it and the noise is unbearable. A group of loud people and some dude trying to play some old song. Makes it a great night for a migraine. The owner shook hands with my friend and hubby and didn’t bother to shake mine or my other friend. Class act. You can get red wine by the bottle. I think other flavors. No Merlot or cab. Appetizers are French fries and spinach artichoke and some thing else that is probably not worth mentioning. Stay home

The service is okay, the vibe okay. The drinks seemed priced on the low side but They added a 18% gratuity fee. Im the type to tip on service weather its 20% or 100%. When I get a gratuity charge I expect it when I have 8 + people with not on myself when I had 2 drinks. I rather pay more for the drinks then get a charged a gratuity fee. I used my card to keep tab and planned to pay cash.... i asked them to close account and they ran the card. Not a big deal but it may be for some and not to mention the fee they charge everyone. Ill give it a shot agin, not going out of my way to do it but i will come back to see if theyre going to improve and Ill update my review based on that visit.

Another place for people visiting out of town to go hangout. Another bar that locals wont ever go back to after going there. As a local, this place is too hipster for me and for locals. Drinks are overpriced . Same owners as Red Dog in Pioneertown. The owners try to hard to bring their L.A vibe to the desert. AWE Bar,Tiny Pony, Red Dog and the Copper Room are all disappointments for locals

This place is a must. Ambiance is a total vibe - you can hear the ghost of Rickles ripping on Sinatra in the comfy leather booths. And, the view of the airstrip from the bar is epic. Food’s delicious and the drinks are strong, DJ’s play their music all night long. Comfy weekdays, banger parties on the weekends. Come boogie.

Great drinks and great atmosphere! We had a really fun time talking with the bartenders and we ended up playing trivia. They also served up some pretty good bar food we would definitely go again.
