We visited this restaurant on 17-Oct-23, it was an amazing experience, thanks to their great food, great service and unlimited food for $40 per person deal (must be a party of 10 or more).Shoutout to the server Sam, she was amazing all evening; since we took the unlimited deal we ordered a number of items, and she was extremely patient and cheerful throughout the evening, which added to our excitement.We tried chaats, south Indian, north indjan options and they were all amazing. Their Kachori chaat was the highlight for me.They have some cool beverage options - tea was good, mango mastani was amazing.Dosas and chutney were one of the best Ive had.Desserts menu is also a winner - carrot halwa being my favorite, they also have amazing ras malai and kulfis.Must visit if youre in the area.

Recently found this place. Nice selection of music and good ambience. Staff is always smiling, which helps if you are having a bad day. The food is very tasty, everything felt fresh. We also went for the buffet the other day, my husband loved the butter chicken. They had rasam for buffet, which I had never tried before. I kinda liked it. It’s difficult to find an indian restaurant where you want to go again and again and it’s obviously one of them.

I was on a journey to a local market. I had no plansto eat out. Then, I smelled deliciousness. I landed at The Curry Leaves.It smelled amazing. Spotless. Beautiful decor. Look up there are even quiet hidden shadow flowers in their entry.I ordered Goat Chettinado, Garlic Bullet Naan and Carrot Halwa aka know in my family as deconstructed carrot cake.I was warned that the Goat Chettinado. I said go for it of course. It is indeed spicy. It goes well with my naan.

Our first time here, and were looking forward to our next visit. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The menu is pretty extensive as they offer a variety of regional dishes. The host and our server patiently answered all our questions. Lunch service includes a buffet, which is a great option if you want to try new foods. Oh, and they have goat! I love goat and have a hard time finding it, so I was thrilled by that.Additionally, I am a super wimp and must eat mild food, my husband prefers medium spice, and our kids love having their throats blistered. These folks happily accommodated all our preferences. It was a lovely evening out and I highly recommend the place.

May not look like much from the outside. But, once you walk in you will most definitely be intrigued by the atmosphere, aromas and the nice bar layout.The menu itself is nicely done with great descriptions and pictures. All of the dishes we ordered had a nice presentation and the taste were all a thumbs up.Sadly, we got so full and had no room for dessert. However, they did look great from the pictures on the menu.As for Northern or Southern Indian food, this place is a must. Im sure youll be satisfied.My only downfall is, for such a nice place, most of the staff members had on street clothes which just didnt mesh well with the establishment. Other than that, the place is top notch. 👌

The service here was the best service I have had in a very long time. The entire staff went above and beyond the entire night. This was my boyfriend’s first time ever having Indian food and loved it. Ranu was an absolute gem. With her warm welcoming smile she answered ALL of my boyfriend’s questions without hesitation! We will be back soon!

Food tastes okay, some were really good but some were bad. variety was good atleast for vegetarians . Dessert options were not very good.Went in today for Diwali buffet unaware that it was for 25$ instead of 20$. I am an Indian buffet afficionado. Curry Leaves, as compared to other Sacramento area & vicinity Indian buffets, is pretty good. Unlike many other area India buffets, Curry Leaves has a salad bar. Make sure you get your salad ingredients early. Last time I ate there they did not refresh the lettuce and tomatos that had been eaten by the other customers. Claimed they ran out of tomato & salad, leaving mainly carrot & cucumber chunks. May be best to arrive early for the lunch buffet before the salad disappears. They a good choice of meats, (goat & chicken) all cooked to perfection with delicious sauces, however the cooked veggies were somewhat lacking for my tastes (they were missing all my favorites such as eggplant, spinach, garbanzo or mushroom curries). The sheer number of hot veggie choices was far better than usual, but the desirability of the available veggie choices left me wanting. The meal was a bit heavy for me given the limited hot & cold veggies, but the buffet is still above average for Sacramento & vicinity. It has one of the nicest atmospheres of any Indian buffet in the Sacramento area. Three types of rice was a plus. Overall, I believe it deserves 3.5 stars if I had the option. Could be 5 star if they kept salad ingredients & had one decent popular hot veggie dish typically served by Indian restaurants.

Super delicious!My favorites are:tandoori chicken, always so fresh and never old.Goat curry, fall off the bone tender, so flavorful and melts in your mouth!Lamb curry, same thing.Chicken 555, chicken 65, fish 65, French fries 65, I love that red color and unbeatable flavor to savor!The salad is real good with mint chutney and another sauce I forgot the name.Gulag! I went to this restaurant today seen it on our way home as soon as you walk in the door you smell the spices was an amazing and welcoming smell. We were greeted and sat down service was amazing we didn’t wait long for anything . They had multiple people that bring you dishes to your table. From our first bite to our last everything was amazing exceeded our expectations . I definitely enjoyed the interaction from our main server very pleasant nice conversation. Our food was nice and warm when it came out . My husband loves appetizers and had ordered two I told our waitress that he loves his appetizers lol then he orders his main dish which was another appetizer. I turned to her and giggled and said see we both laughed a bit. I would highly recommend this place to anyone . I know since COVID hit and now that things are opening again people are still figuring things out I read the comments to me they’re a bit harsh. Allow a place when you go there if it was not to your liking to have a chance to redeem themselves it is the right thing to do. We will definitely be back

We found this place recently only. Their buffet is so goooood. I love fish fingers and I have tried it in so many restaurants, trust me I tried it in their buffet as well today. It was one of the best I ever had. Every dish that is served in the buffet is so yummy and fresh. They keep on refilling it. Service also good. Everyone is doing a good job out there. I’m so glad I found this place. Must try.

The food and service were phenomenal, my wife and I chose to partake in the buffet and I had one serving of everything and my only regret was that I was too full to have two servings of everything. The butter chicken and butter naan were to die for. The entire wait staff was polite and prompt, and we enjoyed the service of Renu in particular. Overall I HIGHLY recommend The Curry Leaves to anybody who loves Indian food.

The food tasted better in the past. The lunch buffet is really bad today. The buffet is not worth the price of $20. Everything is cold and stale. Naans are so hard to chew. All items are cold and tasteless.Dont be surprised to see a compliance fee of 3% in your final bill. When I asked, they said they added the compliance component due to the inflation. They can not change the menu price to match the inflation because they changed it recently. Technically, the price of the food you are ordering is 3% more than what you see in the menu.

Only reason this place didnt get 5 stars all the way is because I wasnt impressed with the staff although they did not a thing wrong the atmosphere was dull more so because of the amount of people there as it wasnt busy.But the food, OMG!.To die for and it takes much to impress me. I had the Special Fish appetizers. Mmmmm. Yummiest.The Tandoori Mixed Grill was off the hook, sizzling away at my table. You have to eat here at least once for the taste experience.

The staff wasnt very friendly, the booths are very small, and they dont offer mild vs spicy. The chicken korma was average and the butter chicken was so spicy my whole mouth was burning. You have to request ice in your drink and when I ordered a soda and it came with ZERO carbonation, I was given attitude when I sent it back. The garlic Naan was delish though. They do have a lot of variety on the buffet side of things and my man loved the okra dish. Very pricey for average food. Head to Auburn for Royal Indian Cuisine instead.

I can choose to go anywhere to obtain an amazing lunch but I still choose to make this spot my destination. I wanted to take a moment and recognize Renu for great customer service from the time I step inside the restaurant. From beginning to end of the meal process. He goes the extra mile at every stage. This is our go-to Indian restaurant in the area. They have a pretty expansive menu of items to pick from. Ive tried almost all of the chicken dishes and have never been disappointed, though my favorite will always be the tikka masala. Definitely make sure to try their naan bread as well, both the butter and garlic naan are amazing! Portion sizes are great and we always have leftovers.

They didn’t allow us to take our own order they have only buffets that was $35 per person I didn’t see that much price anywhere around that area.That was shocking for me when I have go for pay they didn’t put anywhere buffets price. Update. We have been going here for many years now. They have changed the look and trying to make it look upscale. With that we recently saw that they are now charging for even things like pickle which used to be complimentary before. We went for lunch and asked for pickle. They brought a piece of mango pickle and later charged $2.99 for it. Not a major issue but they should inform the customer that now we charge for it. It was really a surprise since earlier they would give salad, pickle and papad complimentary like most other Indian restaurants.Previous review-They just took over from the old owner and the food and service were both good. They have good buffet and they went out of the way to accommodate a special food request I had.Overall a good experience.

We usually do NOT eat at buffets but our one exception is Curry Leaves. You have the option of ordering off the menu but we never do because the buffet always offers a wide selection of the different types of Indian cuisine so we get to taste everything without spending a fortune. The butter chicken is amazing but its all good.

We went to this restaurant for the very first time last night. We got there around 7:20 pm and getting table,menu,order and got our order on table around 8:40 we were frustrated and hungry but the hipe is when we got food on table we forgot everything thing because we never had that tasty delicious food . Give 1000/5 to the chef and 2000/5 to the server ( indian tall guy and Indian girl) they were outstanding for their service. We understand because of velentine’s day they were busy . I just wanna say worth the wait for food when you get delicious food. We definitely come back . Thank you for your service.

Came with relatives who frequent the place. It was definitely as good as they claimed. The 5 of us ordered the family dosa, mixed grill plate, and 3 curries. Everything was delicious. Was very impressed with the dosa - not commonly offered in Indian restaurants. I could have eaten only this and been satisfied. The mixed grill consisted of several Tandoori style meats. The curries were very flavorful. Cant wait to return.

We have been going to this restaurant for a couple of years now. I think, this restaurant has emerged as one of the best (probably the best) Indian buffet restaurants. Almost every item in their menu is up to standard, but what is really satisfying is to experience that every menu item has a distinct flavor. In buffet items, especially, malai chicken kabab, chili chicken, mutton curry, crispy baby corn and veg noodles are worth trying. However, like many Indian buffet, they also take time in refilling the menu items quickly- this is something that certainly needs to be improved. Overall, a good restaurant.

Noticed that goat curry was depleted when we first joined (most diners must have liked it) and kitchen was quite slow to refill it - otherwise service was good. 2 adults and 2 kids cost $80 app with tax. I rarely leave reviews for Indian restaurants. This one is an exception. We have tried many other Indian restaurants in the Sacramento, Folsom and Rancho Cordova region. This by far is the best Indian food we have had around here. Worth the drive. We went for a Sunday lunch buffet. It was not over-crowded. Staff is very courteous. Buffet had decent veg and non-veg options. Each of the food items had a distinct flavor. All the side dishes have a different base unlike other Indian places. Do not miss their falooda (we ordered it extra apart from the buffet). Place is clean, spacious, relaxing ambience. Their Indo-Chinese food is honestly the best by far I have had. Will definitely go back again. If I had to leave one honest feedback, go a tad bit less on the oil in the lemon rice and fish fry :)

This is the BEST indo Chinese place I have EVER been to! First up, my family and I came in half hour before closing and the wait and kitchen staff were very accommodating. At no point did I feel rushed. I had the chicken Tikka and egg noodles. Chicken Tikka was addictively spicy and the egg noodles were like comfort food to me! Very big portions so I was looking forward to eating the leftover egg noodles the next day. Had falooda here for the first time (pictured below) and it had a really nice subtle rose taste and the wafer on top was delicious! I will come here again!

Excellent food, and outstanding service. Every waiter clearly took his/her work seriously. We arrived at about 7pm, we’re seated promptly in the quieter section of the restaurant, which we appreciated.We ordered pani puri-which was served quickly on these beautiful carriage-like frames, exquisitely presented with prefilled puri’s served atop a shot glass of pani. Brilliant presentation-and delicious!! We asked for some tamarind sauce to complement the deliciousness.The rest of dinner was tasty-it arrived in about 30 minutes…we got chicken kadai, shrimp korma and chicken chetinaad. Everything tasted different to each other and delicious. Perfectly spiced. Their naans are AMAZING!!! Soft but with a crunchy shell-just buttery yumminess.Finally, their falooda was just like we had in Kenya growing up-delicious.Our main waiter was Sukh-attentive, friendly, funny and personable. Dec 31-Dinner buffet is really bad today. They are charging double the amount per plate $39.99 and food is horrible. Everything is cold and stale. Everything about this restaurant is 5/5, from the customer service to the taste. My husband and I love coming here. We are always warmly welcomed by Raman, the owner, and his staff. I enjoy the selection of food, its divided in a section for vegetarians and a section for meat.Staff is friendly but they do not explain how to proceed.Tips for lunch first timers, theyll point you towards a table and bring you a pitcher of water. You can grab food when youre ready, use a new plate each time, wear gloves/masks when going through the buffet. Theyll come by and clear your plates as you go, enjoy! You walk up and pay by the entrance/door when youre all done.Staff does not wear masks or enforce it (even though signs say they are practicing social distancing and taking safety measures). Gloves are provided and not enforced.Price is ~$17 an adult for weekend lunch. They open at 11:30 and not 11 like its listed online.

I know my review is not going to make any difference to them but thought I will still share as it might help people like us who have kids with 3-4 yrs of age.Quick background- i have been coming to this restaurant off and on since last 3-4 yrs and noticed big difference in few things. Even though the price of buffet has gone up almost 50% (I am aware of inflation issues too and not complaining about it) but they removed Dosa and Roti from buffet. They charge separately for Roti now and its not included in Buffet.And we visited this place today for a buffet with some friends and we were 4 adults with 3 kids. I noticed and realized this later that both our kids who are under 4 yrs were charged for buffet. Well I dont know how much a kid under that age will eat, especially that toddlers age. Well paying for buffet of kids under 4 yrs of age was not something that I expected ( at this point I want to say high Inflation is for everyone)So if you dont mind paying additional buffet charges for your kids which are toddlers age then you are fine. But as far as I am concerned I am surely not returning for Buffet to them in future.Restaurant at this point should be aware that kids buffet less than 5-6 yrs age is free in most US restaurants including all the other Indian restaurants.Thats all, thanks if you read this far!

At least 4 meat dishes and 6+ vegetarian dishes are offered that do vary somewhat from day to day. The food is also made for people who like Indian food. Came here for their Mothers Day dinner service and we were able to reserve a table online. It was out first visit and we definitely enjoyed the food. Kinda pricey for kids, we paid $14.99 for our 6 year old (he barely ate). Other than that, we enjoyed ourselves!

The food is great. Was to shocked to see over 100 items on their menu. They have a fusion food. One of the only indian places that have a kids menu items for the picky eaters. The owner is very nice and he would come around and talk to the cutomers just to check base if everything they recieved was ok and good.

I’m usually not a fan of Indian food. When I went to India and had it their I absolutely loved it though. I’m usually disappointed when I get Indian in the USA. This however is amazing. Tastes just like it did in india. Highly recommend the Vijaywada biryani and the chicken tika masala

Authentic food with a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Everything was delicious and the right temperature. I left feeling good and full from this buffet, which is not always the case after most buffets.I am headed back again this week. Its now one of my favorite places. They have take out too.

I have been a regular weekend customer, with my family, for almost a year to this place. for last three weeks the experience has not been as per our expectation. The food is okay, but the customer service has taken a toll.I usually have a specific location that I occupy, I have been told, harshly, that the location is for five sitting. Guess what I have a family of four with two kids that require some extra space. And it was completely empty.This place is no longer kid friendly space. The new set of staff are rude and disrespectful. I have always tipped them very well, at minimum 20%, but the ordeal with today has been disappointing. They have just lost a long term customer. I am no longer going to this place for our weekend meal.

Best Indian food in the greater Sacramento area. Only place that makes things spicy if you request it. Tandoori, curries, naans, and biryanis are the bomb. Owners are great with good customer service. Only small caveat is they take a long time when they are busy so plan accordingly and avoid during busy times.Highly Recommend it and we been going here for almost 2 years on a monthly basis.

Its a circus or a comedy show. Unprofessional behavior of the female staff (Anjali). Evertime even in the past, when we had visited that place, if we had asked even general question Anjali gets frustrated and annoyed and it seems she has anger issues. and behaves like she is doing us a favor.The only person was Gopi, who was very nice guy and had a great customer service. He was also being treated very badly by his other female colleague particularly Anjali, and that happened in front of us. That girl had always behaved badly in the past also. She even said write a bad review about me, while we were at the cash counter.Food is very good, but horrible and horrific customer service.The senior staff Renu, seem to have subtly supporting Anjali, was very discreet in her behavior. Never ever she asked Anjali to be proper at her disposition. Gopi was very frustrated, he was nice and I felt bad for him.

Had the goat curry and tandoori chicken with garlic naan... it was outstanding! Goat curry was absolutely delicious, bold flavor, perfect spice, and the tandoori chicken came out sizzling on a cast iron skillet, cooked to perfection with beautiful charred red exterior, and the flavor... off the chart. Can’t wait to go back. Nice family ambiance, very friendly wait staff. This is the real deal if you want authentic quality Indian food. Go here, you will not be disappointed.

This place is awesome! My husband and I were craving Indian food so I picked up the chicken tikka masala (ordered it spicy) and garlic naan bread with rice. It was so delicious, I havent had chicken tikka masala that good in a very long time. We will definitely be back soon to try more items on the menu.

I’ve ordered from this restaurant before with no issues but today I came in to pay for my to-go order and was purposely ignored in line by a male employee who only wanted to assist male customers that came in, even though I was next in line. After he was finished helping those customers he left me at the register and never returned so I had to go look for another employee to help me. Delicious food with plenty of vegan options. We love the Dosas and their wonderful sauces - we call them the Big Tacos! The owners are very nice and friendly. We are excited to return soon and learned about the great priced lunch buffets that are held 7 days per week from 11-3...supposedly lots of options, including Dosas.
