Prevail did wonderful job greeting us and making us feel welcome as we looked at a few units. We walked around several buildings and he did a wonderful job of showing us the amazing amenities the Emery had to offer - bowling alley, dog spa, gym, rooftop pool with bay view. It’s hard not to be impressed with what you can do here in a brand new development.

Incredibly impressive. Everything was clean and well kept and the decor thoughtfully curated. The place had an air of exclusivity about it. Sherri showed us around and she was excellent. Sincere, friendly, not in the least bit pushy and gave me all the time in the world. Sadly, they don’t lease for less than 12 months so it’s not for us. 😢

The amenities of this apartment is on another level. The neighborhood is safe and although I am leaving the States, I would definitely come back to this place. On top of the great facilities is the amazing staff members. They will respond to your email at most in a couple hours or you could go straight to the office to talk in person and your issue will be solved almost instantly. I had a multiple issues with the parking spot and manager Dartise provided everything I needed and solved the problem right away. I am so thankful and to those who are hesitant to be a member of this awesome apartment, don’t wait no more! It has all you ever wanted.

Her exceptional professionalism and dedication are truly impressive. Additionally, Audrie has been extremely helpful throughout this process by making us visit the unit and the community.The complex itself is incredibly convenient. Theres a bridge that takes you directly to Bay Street, with Trader Joes nearby. The gym is really big, and theres even a bowling alley—something Ive never seen in a complex before.If youre looking for a new place to call home, this is the right place. We are so thrilled about all the amazing events that the management has put on for the community. The new farmers market every Saturday is an amazing addition and we couldn’t be happier that it’s here!! Having fresh produce, fish, and more right here in property couldn’t be more convenient, and it’s great for the local farmers. Love this property and happy we moved in.

I went to an event at The Emery Apartments hosted by one of the residents. It was so awesome! The event space (large indoor rooftop space next to the pool) was amazing! The surround sound, natural light from all the windows, and modern furniture and decor, and the views made it the perfect place to have any type of gathering. It made me want to consider touring the emery as a potential place to live.

I attended a graduation party at the emery apartments the staff was very welcoming it was my first time there. The rooftop reception area was brand new very clean had a indoor space with pool table kitchen oven fridge a lot of counter space views of Oakland hills. The outdoor space even better views of San Francisco nice size pool and two jacuzzi fire pits a lot of seating and grills. Special shout out to Dartise who helped my friend a new resident there to book the space. I recommend that space for a fun and relaxing event or classy evening with friends

The Emery is absolutely STUNNING! The leasing staff is extremely professional, kind, and thoughtful. Prevail Williams took great care to ensure that I had a great experience, he was extremely knowledgeable and did not complain when I had him going back and forth from unit to unit (it was so hard to pick which unit I loved the most). I’ve never seen an apartment community like The Emery. During my time there I ran into a few current residents who greeted me and sang nothing but praises of The Emery. I don’t normally leave reviews but I was so blown away by The Emery & Prevail that I had to leave a review, 10/10!

We love our apartment with its beautiful view of the Bay and all the amazing amenities from the free shuttle and bike facilities to the gym and rooftop pool. Today my sister and I had the pleasure of touring The Emery with Prevail from the Leasing Office, accompanied by Dartise (Community Manager) part of the time also. Prevail was *so* friendly and welcoming…good vibes from the moment we walked in! Prevail took his time with us, showing us all the wonderful amenities The Emery has to offer along with several different apartments we were interested in. The nearly 180+ degree views from the pool/community area on the 7th floor of the main building are stunning! (see sunset photo below) Bonus: all apartments have A/C! Very rare in this area. They also have some cool community coworking spaces for residents (like a mini WeWork sort of…nice for those of us who WFH to mix it up occasionally). We encountered several cheery existing residents - delightful to see happy people and doggos in the buildings. Prevail and Dartise followed up with us immediately. Rates seem very reasonable for new construction, especially so close to SF. Beautiful new, tech-forward property…with outstanding management and staff! We’ll likely be new residents soon. This establishment was awesome! I first want the shout out the front desk concierge, on 5/4/24, I was running late to a surprise bridal shower. As I arrived the soon to be bride arrived also. I didn’t want to ruin the surprise so the front desk concierge escorted me to the designated location without me being seen by the soon to be bride, which thankfully worked out! I was very appreciative for the hospitality. That was absolutely a 10 out of a 10! The establishment was very clean, the decor was beautiful! The view was everything! I enjoyed myself… I hate I didn’t give the gentlemen’s name.

I can’t speak for all the staff but Dartise treated us with the highest quality professionalism. We received a tour of a furnished two bedroom apartment, he walked us through the property explaining the amenities and access process for residents, and he gave us detailed information on how to follow up to move forward with an application. Google Fiber is an internet provider at The Emery. We sponsored a resident event at the building last weekend. I worked with Caleb and Janei, the resident event coordinators, to plan the event. Together, we hosted a Luau-themed pool party with a DJ. They were both incredible to work with and made the planning process very easy. The amenities at The Emery are top-notch! The pool on the 7th floor has amazing views and offers a great location to soak up the sun. The party was a huge success, over 100 residents attended. We are very lucky to partner with The Emery, and can’t wait for our next event!

Lived here for more than a year. The staff here is extremely rude and dont seem to share the same enthusiasm for Asian tenants as they do with others; check the rest of the negative reviews and youll find a trend.They NEVER, and I mean NEVER answer the phone. Ive had better luck getting someone on the phone calling EDD during the pandemic.All the reviews for this place are FAKE, FAKE, FAKE. They lure people in with these parties and then ask them to create these fake reviews in return. If you actually read them, some tell you, they simply toured or checked out the place; theyre not actual tenants!I had to threaten to sue this place to get my deposit back. Smh.

Im still wondering if theres a phone number to call when the park bathroom gets locked. It locks from the inside and the lock button on the handle is at a perfect height to hip check on the way out and its easy to forget to check the handle from the outside before the door slams shut.

UNTRUSTWORTHY! Virtual tour, no follow up to cancellation email within 24 hours! Now receiving emails from debt collectors stating I owe $310 for cleaning fees and return check. How is it possible to owe cleaning fees for an apartment I’ve never stepped foot into?! This is outrageous! Carefully read other reviews that are less than 5 stars, they’re accurate! Now I have an inconvenient situation to fight an erroneous bill! After reading the less than 5 star reviews and lack of follow up, YES I STOPPED payment on holding deposit and so glad I did! Clearly I would’ve been out of my money and now the erroneous charges!

I usually do not write reviews but I really don’t agree with the deceptive marketing practices of this complex. I was looking into to moving and came across the Emery. I thought it was beautiful and they had a special going on. It was for 6 weeks free and a $1,500 look and lease. Its was a great special. I tried to call for days and no one ever picked up. I was just gonna apply so I don’t lose the apartment. Finally I got through to I believe the manager. She informed me that the special online doesn’t give you the 6 weeks upfront like the quote presented me through THEIR WEBSITE. The 6 weeks would be over almost 6 month time period. Honestly this is VERY deceptive for the website to say one thing and her to say another. I would be out of money because of this. BEWARE of this company.

I have lived in this apartment for a year, and I would not fully recommend it, despite some positive aspects.Pros:- Good views from the rooftop.- The apartment is new and comes with nice amenities.Cons:- The pricing is somewhat ambiguous, and my experience with the office was not professional. Initially, I saw a $500 deposit, but in the end, I was not charged that. Instead, a non-refundable deposit waiver of $19 was charged every month, totaling $228 after a year. Additionally, during the move-out inspection, the cleaning team appeared to have a side gig, meticulously searching for any hint of dirt or hair, and charged me an extra $230 for a cleaning fee. Although I paid, I feel like I was taken advantage of and treated unfairly. If I had paid the initial $500 deposit instead of opting for the $19 deposit waiver charged monthly, I wouldnt have incurred an additional expense of $228 when I moved out.- There have been frequent break-ins in the garage. Although I was not impacted by any accident, somehow felt unsafe and uncomfortable- Resident parking is located on high floors for certain buildings.- Ongoing construction in the neighborhood has been disruptive

Its generally a good apartment, but unfortunately, the management has not been responsive to our emails at all. We reside on the sixth floor of the seven-story building and frequently hear foot stomping noises from the rooftop when people are up there. Considering that we are paying almost $5000 in rent, this has not been a great experience. We are planning to leave the apartment soon so it wont be a problem for us anymore. I wouldnt recommend this building as a long-term home.

PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS FAR AS YOU CAN!!!!!!First of all, I had a great time touring and Hanaya was good at communicating with us. After we moved in, things started happening...1. Parking: Parking is absolutely ridiculous! Also they would tell you “We have security 24/7” That’s just straight up LIES. Or the security let the thief’s in and help them stole 8 motorbikes LOL. We moved in and got two parking spots (1 gated and 1 not gated). Yes there are two types of parking. I paid EXTRA for the non gated spot. Guess what? You cant park there for more than 48 hours or you get towed :) MOST IMPORTANTLY: God know how they even keep track of the time the car is parked. There are multiple times where I came back home and parked on the same spot as before I left the garage. AYEEEE AND I STILL GOT A STICKER WOOOHOO! I travelled back to Asia and realized that my car was gone lol. Paid ~$800 to get it back. AND THERE ARE NO PAPER WORKS SAYING NO PARKING FOR MORE THAN 48 HRS! Not to mention those warning stickers? Good luck taking that glue off. And also, good luck getting in and out, it always has a glitch. And don’t ask your friends to come over, they need to pay for “guest parking”2. Amenities? They are great. But have you ever heard of paying for your apartment amenities ( Movie Theater). Bowling Ally is broken most of the time. 1/5 BBQ grills are working at the rooftop. DOG PARK! They were closed from October and just recently opened! Dang took you 5 months to grow some grass… and guess what? It will shut down in a few days again.3. Package. Get ready to get your package stolen/ sent to the wrong building/ opened. THE LEASING WILL DO NOTHING ABOUT IT.4. HOMELESS: Oh my, if you want to live around homeless THIS IS THE BEST PLACE EVER! There’s this homeless car that was parked on the street for weeks!5. I’ve seen Paul letting multiple cars into the garage because there was a “PARTY” at the rooftop and they could just come in for free lol.6. If you love the smell of WEED. Please come live here. The main cause of this review is that The Emery has now put me on collections for the moving out cleaning fees, despite no attempts on their part to contact me about the amount due. No emails. No phone calls. No letters. Just straight to collections.Avoid this place at all cost. It’s not worth it.My husband and I moved from the flooded 33 Tehama building and I’d rather take that than deal with The Emery again.I hope you’re reading this Emery team because you’ve yet to contact me.Maintenance:- Bathroom Vent: a week after moving in, our bathroom vent would not stop running and we contacted maintenance to diagnose and fix. Maintenance guy kept arguing that there was nothing wrong until we showed a recording of the vent turning on and off at random times throughout the day and even during shower usage.- On the that day we moved in, the key fob did not work because the batteries in the door fob died. We were the first residents and this is a newly built complex.- The fan in the stove vent broke after the first use and we had to wait a week for the part to be ordered. Again, first residents in a newly built complex.Parking:- We asked to be signed up for one parking spot and was told to contact the parking management team because they are two separate companies. After contacting the parking company, and setting up our account, we began getting charged for two parking spots. It took 9 months and 5 different people to get the parking account fixed. Apparently the first parking spot is billed by The Emery while additional spots are billed by the parking company. The parking company told us that residents should only contact them if we wanted a second or additional spaces and that was why they charged us for multiple spots. The first parking spot was supposed to be managed by The Emery.- One day, our parking garage access card stopped working. When we reached out to the parking management, they told us that the Emery had marked us as moved out and deactivated our account and gave the parking space to someone else. We still had 3 months remaining in our lease. Even after getting reinstated, we were forced to move to a different parking space and give up our old spot.Amenities:- The main reason we moved here was because of the bowling alley amenity. Roughly two months after debuting, the bowling alley had to be closed for repairs due to water/flooding damage and remained closed for the remainder of our lease.Moving out:- I did the move out inspection with the maintenance team and they pretty much nickel and dime you for everything.I had to sign for the cleaning fees, painting fees, and carpet fees, even though everything was normal wear and tear.

Nice apartments in a pretty convenient location in the east bay. Construction in the area is ongoing but theyve done a good job minimizing the impact to residents. The immediate area basically lacks character (lab buildings, and non-consumer facing businesses like office supply and flooring. The new neighbor is a giant parking garage), but there is convenient access to Bay Street via a pedestrian bridge, and the soon-to-be-completed park should be a big improvement. Long term, I think whether or not they actually manage to lease out the ground-floor retail spaces at the complex will make a big impact on how the area feels. Management here is organized and on top of things.The building is well designed enough that even apartments directly facing the railroad tracks dont really have bothersome amounts of train noise; also there are no level crossings in the immediate area so they dont use their horns very often.

I’ve been living at The Emery for about a month now and have had such a pleasant experience! The amenities are well kept and clean and maintenance fixes any problems swiftly. Its just okay. For a luxury building, I wouldve expected more, but Im also new to the area so maybe this is standard in the bay.pros:1. amenities are nice, love the gym & the bowling alley is the only way i can get people to make the trek out here.2. the free shuttle to the BART is a lifesaver (using the shuttle, its only a 30 minute commute to downtown sf!)3. Close to Bay Street, Target, walking & biking trails4. Management is prompt and professional.5. People are friendly6. Park on the corner is lovelycons:1. You have easy access to daily necessities, but not great access to the city, or frankly, to anywhere exciting (the shuttle only runs on weekdays during rush periods). If you want a vibrant social life but dont want to buy a car, youre probably better off in Oakland or in the city.2. The residents here are a product. You are charged fees to reserve certain rooms, while in other buildings Ive seen you can do that for free. For example the movie theater - Why are we being charged a $50 fee (and a $500 deposit) to reserve the theater? They charge for coffee in the work area, which my friends in other buildings get for no charge. Theres a vending machine with severely overpriced garbage in the lobby. And on and on and on.3. You can tell they took every possible cost-saving measure to put this place together. It often feels cheap. My fob frequently doesnt work to access amenities Im supposed to be able to use. The washer & dryer suck, particularly the dryer. It takes forever for clothes to dry (Im talking 3 full hours, even after pulling out the heavy weight items). Maintenance has come by several times and its still not fixed. My apartments floorboards have come up and they had to come glue them back down. etc etc4. It is LOUD here. To be fair, they warn you about this when you move in. Even not counting the construction on the parking garage, theres all the road noise from the freeway, plus the Amtrak train. The garage opening warning noise is loud enough to wake the dead. Even the beep that you get when you open the door to the building can be heard several floors up.5. Package delivery system is a bit messy. My packages & food orders have gone to the wrong building on multiple ocassions.On the whole, I definitely feel very fortunate to live here. I would generally recommend this place; just make sure youre ready to accept all of the cons listed above.

He took the time to show me what I believe was every inch of the property. He told me about the construction and what great things would soon be coming to The Emery. Rude lady from the leasing office as they do not welcome walk-in for a tour. I told you to wait for one hour, she said. And they tried to charge me $4 for parking which finally got waived after getting help from another gentleman and some phone calls. Plus, another frustrated lady was banging the bathroom door in the lobby because someone is using it(?) Pay attention to the diversity if you are checking out this place too. What a messed up and terrible experience, and no Im not renting from here - there are so many better options in the area.

Visited the Emery and had an enjoyable stay. The apartment complex is beautiful and secure. High tech keyless entry, the lobby is absolutely beautiful, spacious and relaxing, and the rental units are modern with top of the line fixtures. The amenities: indoor parking garage, rooftop pool, bowling alley, and gym are a huge plus, but good customer service is invaluable, and the assistant building manager, Dartise, was very courteous, knowledgeable and professional. We looked at probably 10 apartments in the Bay Area during our apartment hunt, and none of the listing agents were as personable, attentive, and knowledgeable as Dartise. He listened to our apartment must haves attentively and showed us apartments (which he knew EVERYTHING ABOUT) that were perfect for us and in our budget.We ended up taking another tour with our families to check it out, and Dartise actually REMEMBERED us and all of the things we wanted! He was so great with our families as well- he’s so great at knowing what everyone needs to see.One of the greatest thing. about Dartise, and the thing that made himthe most special for us is he seems to be friends with EVERYONE in the building! The apartments were a great size and we were assured after touring for an hour that we wouldnt hear any noise from the trains close by due to the apartments architecture (i.e double pane windows and acoustics). We just spent a month at The Emery through a furnished corporate rental with Blueground (will review separately), and we were super happy with our stay! The amenities werent open just yet, but as we were here for work, it didnt matter too much. We did peek through the windows and saw that the rooftop deck with pool, fire pits, and cabanas is shaping up beautifully, the workspace looks amazing, and the bowling lanes look really fun. Next time we have to come back to the area for work, we will be excited to have all of that available.The apartment was very stylish, well laid out, and very comfortable.The leasing and management staff was incredibly responsive to us as we were getting settled and getting our access cards and mail keys set up, and they almost always answered the phones or were available immediately in person, which we did not experience at other communities we considered.The community feels safe and quiet, and there seems to be a security patrol in the parking garage all night long too.Theres still some construction going on around here, but the community is almost finished, and its going to be incredible.Thank you, Emery team!

This review is based on the amazing touring experience I had and the apartment itself. The Emery is beautiful and has a lot of wonderful amenities. I came here without an appointment and Dartise, was nice enough to allow me to tag along to a viewing that was already scheduled with two nice people because I did not have much time. The apartments were beautiful spacious and they all had gas stoves (amazing because I like to cook). The amenities are what took the cake though, which apartment do you know comes with its own bowling alley and 3 heated jacuzzis (Because social distancing). Dartise was patient and not pushy when showing us around. I wish to live there at some point just waiting on that salary increase because it is a bit over my budget. If you have the means to do it, dont hesitate to live here.
