2023-08-14 22:13:34Great coffee and sandwich spot in La Jolla Village directly across from the Vons on Fay. Great atmosphere, plenty of outdoor seating and the food is fresh and delicious. Great spot to bring your laptop and get some work done. Definitely recommend!

2023-08-07 04:00:26Can’t believe I haven’t been to this place before! It’s so adorable and the food and beverages are great! Love the fact that they have live music. Perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon. This place is truly part of the fabric of the community.

2023-06-20 23:47:47Cute atmosphere and friendly staff, no vegan options on the menu but they modified a dish for me. I asked for the tacos de papas with beans and tomatoes instead of cheese and sour cream and they were pretty good! No vegan baked goods sadly. The lavender summer drink was tasty, would recommend.

2023-08-21 20:19:36The ambiance is fantastic, I love the combination of potted plants and industrial style. It’s a place where you can hang out. The coffee is also good.

2023-10-10 22:27:51Probably the best Mexican Chocolate I have had in town. Along with one of the tastiest scones I have ever tasted. Raspberry at that. Im not usually a Raspberry fan either, but this scone was tasty, sweet on top, and fluffy. Not too dry or soft. I love scones :3. I went in with curiosity and a bit of skepticism, and walked out a happy camper. Will definitely be back for more.

2023-11-21 17:45:02Love this place and everyone who works here! In a world of coffee chains, The Flower Pot is a unique and cozy haven. Every menu item is delicious and thoughtfully made. The staff is wonderful, the plants are thriving, and the atmosphere is inviting. A true gem of La Jolla :)

2023-10-16 19:36:56Amanda and Gloria run such a gorgeous, gracious, and well-intentioned cafe. I feel so comfortable here surrounded by flowers, a positive community, and the best and biggest organic bran muffins Ive ever had. I commute here quite often to work remote. The beach and art museums are a short walk away. Coffee is 100% organic and roasted in house. Nothing but love!!!

2022-10-25 07:58:21UPDATE: unfortunately, dropping from 5 stars to 3. As of Oct 2022, have visited their new official location several times. The staff was really nice, & I love the cute decor etc, but for some reason the drip coffee (just black) doesn’t taste as good as it did at the Lot / the OG Pannikin. Not smooth like before. Also the bathroom is a hot mess :(———————————Below was my review for the Lot location:As of this review (Jul 2022), the temporary pop-up location for the new Pannikin is at The Lot! It’s in the outside seating area (if you walk towards the bar youll see it). They said they should be moved in to their new location across the street at 7530 Fay by end of August :)We came on a Sunday around 4pm, and they said theyre open until 10pm, so thats awesome theyre open late (at least at this pop-up location!).I was being super indecisive, but was given suggestions and the girl helping me was super nice! I didnt want something too caffeinated, so she made me a Lavender Summer (but less sugary, since I dont like super sugary drinks). It was tart and refreshing! Thankfully there was no line, so my indecisiveness wasnt holding anyone up...😂I also ordered a pastry (blueberry banana nut muffin), and she said the most popular bakery items here are:- Raspberry scone- Blueberry scone- Raisin date walnut- Blueberry banana nutMy friend got regular hot coffee, he confirmed it tastes the same as the hot coffee at the old Pannikin haha.I am glad The Lot let them temporarily post up here, Pannikin was probably the most beloved coffee place in La Jolla, so disappearing forever was not an option!
