Staff was super nice and helpful; explaining the food and menu. Food was delicious. Lots of options and big portions. They also make breakfast burritos in the morning. This will be a regular stop for me when we are in the area. Small seating area outside but we took our food to go for a picnic on the bluffs.

We missed it twice because the sign was small and its in a liquor store. There are tables out front or you can go a few minutes down the road and picnic and dinosaur cave park. There are tables there too.Rice and baba ghanoush was great. Chicken is a bit on the salty side but tender. Steak was good but a lil chewy. Big pieces though. Pita bread is the thin kind.

Delicious food and super friendly staff. Got “The Works” plate and was so good we came back again the next day. Had the grape leaf for my first time and was in love with the flavor.Definitely check this spot out if you’re around!

We just moved here and was craving some authentic Lebanese food. The Green Olive DID NOT DISAPPOINT! In fact, it was AMAZING! Food was cooked to order, fresh and very flavorful. The portions were just right! The entire staff was genuine and attentive to our every need. We will be back, maybe daily! Thank you Green Olive for the wonderful hospitality and amazing food!

Finding this hole in the wall - well, hole in the liquor store place - took us a minute, but we were glad we found it. Delicious Greek food prepared while you wait. I had the eggplant wrap and my cousin had the falafel wrap, and we shared a small baba ganoush. There were two clean picnic tables out front that we sat at to eat and had a great lunch. We are vegan and the staff carefully thought through our requests to determine whether they were vegan or not - lucky for us they were!

Ok so do not miss this place it is in the liquer store and amazing. We have eaten a lot of Middle Eastern food and I cook a lot of it. We were blown away, we got the chicken shawarma with humus and baba ghanoushit was honestly the best I have ever had anywhere. The Greek salad with the chicken kabob, amazing. The staff was wonderful such awesome and great people running and cooking in this spot. Dont miss it go in the store and to your left is Middle Eastern food heaven.

Wow what delicious authentic food! I had the chicken shawarma wrap with salad and my husband had the chicken kebab wrap with fries. It was all amazing the spicy fries were very delicious and they also gave some pickled radish that were amazing. Cant wait to return to this hidden gem!!!

This is the best Mediterranean food!! I highly reccomend their filet mignon beef kabob!! I could literally drink the spicy green sauce that comes with it! My husband and I always get extra 😋.

THE BEST KABOBS ON THE PLANET 🌏I tried the filet mignon and the chicken kabobs. They come with pita, hummas and a salad. The food is authentic, and you wont find better kabobs anywhere. It is a must stop if you are passing through Pismo!Thank me later :)

Came back for more. Ordered the #3 chicken skewer plate. Comes with 2 marinated chicken skewers, dipping sauce, rice, salad, hummus, and flat bread. I ordered w/o rice. Delicious!! So glad this restrauny is here in Shell Beach. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

Wow, what a yummmy meal! Falafel was crispy delicious. Steak wrap had such a juicy piece of meat in it! Hummus was creamy nutty yes. Baba ghanoush was baba-goodness. Even the salad, which is often overlooked, was fresh and tasty. Get takeout and eat in your camper van by the ocean.

What a hidden gem! Stumbled in here on a whim and almost left but soooo glad we didn’t. I got the vegetarian combo-falafels we’re on point, tahini and baba ghanoush aren’t normally anything I rave about but they incredible and the tabouli salad is just how I like it-loads of parsley. The staff was friendly and they make excellent food. Thank you!

Don’t be fooled by appearances—a deli inside a liquor store. The food here is excellent and people are very friendly. We had the chicken shawarma plate and the standard gyro pita wrap. Great pita bread! Loved both dishes, including the small Greek salad and hummus that came with them. There is some outside seating on the front and side, but this is a great spot to grab a take-out meal or a DoorDash pickup.

We moved from LA 6 months ago and what has been hard is not finding good authentic food. We originally planned on eating in Pismo at Titos Tacos but it was closed (@2 pm) and found this hidden gem inside a liquor store! The food was so delicious we took a separate order to go. I had the #8 and my husband had the #10. My kiddos loved the baklava and rice. We had to drive around 2x because of its location, inside a liquor store, but it is on a corner with plenty of off the street parking and benches on the front and side to enjoy the meal there.

We got the chicken kebab plate and The works #19. It was ready in 10 min and was very good. They even asked how well I wanted the beef cooked. This means it was cooked to order and very fresh. The chicken was cooked perfectly and not dry. My family was extremely satisfied. This place recieves an easy 5 stars.

Mediterranean food never let me down. I went there yesterday and ordered number 9 and 10 to taste all kind of protein options. Kofta, beef, chicken, shrimp everything is cooked perfectly. The chili spice sauce is perfection to have with the rice too. Overall I had very grateful good food yesterday. Thank you.

Stopped by with my wife and daughter and had a wonderful meal here. I had the gyro wrap which was huge and so full of wonderful meat and sauce. My wife had a triple meat combo and she said it’s one of the best Mediterranean meals she’s ever had, and she’s had a lot. The hummus was excellent and if you get chance to try the “Chocolate Fantasy” be prepared to say “OMFG!”Wonderful experience. We shall be back!!!

WOW! The food here is excellent! I had the supreme gyro plate and my husband had the double meat gyro plate. The portions are huge. We couldn’t finish it. Leftovers tomorrow will be good! The homemade baclava is fresh and the best I’ve ever had. The people are very friendly. You really cannot go wrong here. Don’t let the fact that it’s in a liquor store deter you. This is some seriously good food at a very fair price.

I ordered the gyro wrap and it was fantastic! I have been searching for an authentic gyro made with lamb meat and The Green Olive did not disappoint. It was loaded with wonderfully flavored and juicy meat with the perfect ratio of tomatoes, onions, and tzaki sauce. And the icing on the cake, it was only $9.99!I will DEFINITELY be back and recommend to everyone!

Absolutely loved the food from The Green Olive! I had the Greek salad with Gyro and it was seriously unbelievable and huge! I would go there every week if I lived in Pismo or nearby. I will be going back every year. The spicy dip/sauce was awesome and the shrimp skewers and chicken skewers my family got they loved.

Their food is amazingly delicious. I ordered the filet minion kabobs. So tender and flavorful with very generous portions. Their hummus was some of the best I’ve ever had. Surprising! I tried this place based on a suggestion from a friend, and Im quite happy with the experience. I ordered take-away but that didnt detract from the quality nor presentation at all. Overall, the food items were well prepared and tasty. Nothing was over / undercooked, and the portions were great for the price. Yup, five stars for a takeout place in a liquor store. Unbelievable, right?We took out dinner while staying at the small motel next door.It’s Mediterranean food; falafel, dolmas, shawarma, etc. I had the ‘Works’ which is a combo of filet mignon, chicken and Kafta skewers. It was great including the filet. I ordered it just to see if it was really as good as we were told. The filet was excellent. Chicken was a bit dry. The kafta, which is a cigar shaped cylinder for ground beef, was good but I’d probably skip it next time. Next time, I’ll go all in on the filet. You also get a small salad, falafels, some rice and some humus. All good. Wife got a veggie option that was more falafels in place of the meat that I had. The servings are big. When you’re ordering, the pictures are misleading. You get a lot more than what the picture suggests. The combo was $22 before tax so definitely affordable. And, definitely will be back.

My wife and I were staying next door at Shell Beach Inn (another 5 Star establishment) we decided to try The Green Olive based on the recommendation from the manager of Shell Beach Inn.We were NOT disappointed. The chicken and filet skewers were unquestionably some of the best meat weve ever enjoyed!! Well seasoned, tender, delicious!The hummus and baba ghanoush are also very good. Amazing food if you’ve been to Petra in San Luis this is better for a reasonable price got the #10 the mix with lamb chicken and beef was very very good would recommend this place to anyone looking for Mediterranean food. I no longer have to get my Gyro fix in SLO or Pismo, weve got it all right here in Shell Beach.Pros: High quality mediterranean food, the Filet Mignon skewers are to die for. The Gyro meat and chicken are also good, but did I mention the Filet Mignon skewers!?! The staff is beyond friendly and I just feel good after every time I eat there.Cons: The word is getting out quickly that this place is amazing and it will no longer be our neighborhoods little secret. First time visiting Avila Beach, drove over to Pismo to give the Green Olive a try. I met the owner (Yousef) and I believe to be his sister, it was a warm welcome and the food was amazing. I recommend trying “#19 The Works” it gives you a tase of everything. My son was grateful for the m&m’s that Yousef gave him. Till next time, traveling back to Napa!
