Everything about this place has been amazing. The food and atmosphere are outstanding. I highly recommend grabbing their macadamia cashew chocolate tart while here.

Excellent vegetarian menu where everything can be eaten. Lots of fresh veggies with a mix of cooked imitation meats also. Good to come here if your group is vegetarian! The coffee is also very good! Parking can be a bit tricky but there are dedicated spots

Delicious vegetarian and vegan food! A Beach Cities/South Bay gem. The whole menu is beautiful and well thought out. A cozy spot to sit for breakfast or lunch with indoor and outdoor seating, a block away from the beach. A great place to meet with friends, family, or a date (solo or coupled!). Lots of street parking available. Everyone is kind and helpful. A must try spot if you’re into healthy and yummy food.

Lovely little restaurant in Redondo Beach. Food was delicious. The staff was very friendly. Everything was so scrumptious and healthy. Will definitely come back. There are a few parking spots located right in front of the restaurant, otherwise street parking is available. There is no indoor seating, however they do have some tables under a tent outdoors with propane heaters. Bathroom is very clean as well.

I hadn’t been to Green Temple in a long time and on a warm summer night, I was happy that their zen-like patio is still so cool and inviting. Service is kind and attentive, and their great menu is much the same. The food is delicious as it always has been, with clean flavors and really fresh ingredients. Their veggie burger is one of my favorite plates; I never miss the meat. Their oat bar is only one of my favorite desserts. I highly recommend Green Temple for some of the very best vegetarian plates in town.

Love love love this place. Any dish you get will be an amazing meal. They are so attentive and want you experience to be as good as it can be. Ive been coming here for 20+ years and it has never disappointed.Even if you arent vegan or vegetarian, you can find something yummy to eat and walk away satisfied, anticipating your next visit!

Disappointed. 13$ plus tax and tip for this garden quesadilla. So thin, barely any filling. Very disappointed. Im sure they can do better... Cali is an Avocado state! I probably had 1/4 of a small avocado throughout the whole full size meal. Just so you know what you are getting. The staff was friendly

An oasis. The blue plate special was perfect. Portions were just right leaving room for appetizers of chips and guacamole. So good. The patio felt like a garden with private tables tucked here and there. Just a wonderful experience.

I have been trying to mix in more veggie and vegan meals during the week when I go out so always on the lookout for great spots.Really loved the Green Temple! Very cool and unique vibe eating in their outdoor courtyard.Really loved the peaceful, relaxed vibe of the place.I had the breakfast burrito and it was delicious! Will for sure be back to try more dishes.

Finally I found a healthy place in Redondo. We ordered a special lasagne and Shepherds Gold. The food was deliciousness healthy. No much oil and nothing fried. We are more than satisfied and will definitely come back.

Great option for vegan diners. The vibe in The Green Temple stands out from any restaurant in the area. You eat on patio style tables while sitting on comfy cushion (not on the floor) which makes the whole experience feel like I am eating at someones house. The food is great, the nachos and tofu steamers are my favorite while my friend swears by there soup. The service can be frustratingly slow but overall doesnt ruin the experience that The Green Temple provides.

Great outdoor patio dining area. Natural breeze blowing though the patio. My 1st experience at a vegetarian restaurant and I wasnt disappointed at all!! I had the tamales and my lady had the veggie burger. We also had the 1/2 order of nachos, with the lemon fizz drinks!! Must try!!!

I’ve been eating here since I was 11 years old (20 years) and this place has consistently stayed amazing. Idk why it’s taken me so long to write a well deserved 5 star review. Their food is always very nourishing, fresh, and served with kind service. I always love their soups (I get one of each soup of the day almost every time I go here) they have this tofu sauce too that’s really amazing. The desserts are all delicious, and my favorite entrees are the blue plate, the savory wrap, avocado sandwich, and I like building my own bowl. I’ve never not loved anything I’ve eaten here and I’ve been so grateful to see Green Temple stay open despite the challenging times covid brought. Thank you for nourishing me all these years ❤️❤️

After frequenting The Green Temple for years, our family unfortunately will never be back. The owner and management are not considerate or customer service oriented, yet quite the opposite. Several times we have been treated with obstinance and arrogant entitlement. Either being rushed or not having simple meal requests well within their ability appeased. In a era where health conscience and vegan menus are abundant, kind customer service is crucial. Really sad as their food has been a staple. Luckily there’s an almost identical menu that’s more abundant, original, cost friendly and where the staff treat you with gracious respect just 10 minutes up the road.

Extremely friendly staff, fantastic service with COVID safe protocols that really set my mind at ease and a gorgeous setting right in the middle of Redondo Beach dining area.I had the Vegan Enchiladas and they were absolutely delicious and the portion size was just perfect. What an all-around exceptional experience, start to finish. While visiting my parents from Michigan, we stopped for a bite and will definitely be going back whenever Im in town (and theyll certainly be returning without me!). Despite receiving only curbside service (current circumstances required as much), I felt valued and considered. Our server, a gentle yet boisterous man from across the pond, provided excellent suggestions, pairings, and even a parting gift for my flight home (which he ran through the rain to provide!). I would be back for the food alone, but the service really sold it!

My favorite restaurant!! Everybody is nice and the food is amazing!! Try the savory wrap! Each bite is heaven in your mouth! They have amazing raw cake as well (mix berry’s, macadamia chocolate..) the atmosphere as well is beautiful and super clean! They just received wine (i took the red pinot noir), organic an VEGAN! They also have amazing sake to help with love, strength, energy etc.. i give 5 stars but they deserve 100!! And the price is really low for the quality :) ❤️🌱👏

They have amazing food but after the way I was treated on the phone it killed the experience.What used to order from here all the time through Covid and even now and the gentleman on the phone was rude and wouldn’t add eggs to my sandwich or even Protein for that matter. He said you can’t add anything to sandwiches you have to get them as they come. Which is so weird because that’s never happened before and I’ve been able to add things and take things out of my sandwiches. I also asked if I could add eggs for protein to the sandwich he told me that they don’t cook eggs in the kitchen but then I let him know that there’s eggs on the menu and he stated that they only cook what they need in the morning and they don’t cook throughout the day. So what does that mean that the foods not being cooked fresh? Anyways I’ve been in the industry for 20 years this is the worst service I’ve ever had at any restaurant would really love to eat the food here but apparently we don’t have options anymore. I didn’t get the guys name working at the front but today is February 5, 2022 and whoever’s working at the front office is very arrogant.

This place is honestly my FAVORITE place to eat at in the whole city of redondo beach!... the atmosphere is stellar. it is so calm and peaceful just being in the ambiance and things surrounding you. the food is EXCEPTIONAL!! everything tastes home made and fresh, especially the walnut bread. make sure you get some when you go! lastly, the service is BEYOND great. the waiters are very attentive, not only that, sometimes the cook comes out and talks to you asking if you like the food, of if u would like to try something new, YES they will give you a sample of something if you are interested in trying a new item! As a vegetarian, I was so amped about an exclusively vegetarian restaurant in such a seafood-heavy area! However, the abundance of options did not assuage the lack of flavor in these dishes. Entreés tasted bland and sides were unseasoned. Was sad to see such mighty potential fall victim to the qualm every meat-eater has with vegetarianism: there’s just not as much flavor. Better to look elsewhere when trying to validate that plant-based can be delicious.

One of my favorite restaurants in the South Bay. I have been coming here for years and tell everyone I know to at least try it once. The ambiance is eclectic boho Morocco, with small semi private vignettes. Plants, statues and art placed just so. Staff work really hard to get everything just right and the owner is the nicest person I have ever met. There isnt anything on the menu that I havent tried and I enjoyed everything. I have been dining here for 20 years. I eat food from this restaurant twice to three times a week because it is that good. The owner, Elena, who hails from the Czech Republic, is such a gracious host, as are the loyal and devoted members of the waitstaff; many have been servers here for nearly a decade.The setting suits the cuisine to a tee. You are taking care of your emotional well-being as much as your appetite here.My personal recommendations: the Sproutada (singularly creative as well as delicious--there is nothing else like it, hence the multiple visits per week), steamed vegetables with tofu sauce (think Alfredo but better), the taco platter with tempeh, and the Tostaditas.You cant go wrong with anything on the menu; the recommendations reflect my personal favorites, your mileage may vary.

My favorite dish here is the white lasagna because it is a good sized portion and I have dreams about the wonderfully delicious sauce. It has a price of $15 which could be considered high. I really dont mind because it is just that tasty.I also really enjoy the decor. The inside seating is extremely cozy and there isnt really much room. However there are two outside areas with ample seating. I personally prefer to sit in the courtyard next to the fountain. The fountain is really calming and contains tiny fish. Each outside table is near a heater just in case it gets chilly.

The owner seems to not understand state laws regarding service animals. We showed credentials and explained we had a certified service animal, and they still forced us to not only sit outside, but chain up our service animal outside the gate near the street. Don’t recommend anyone with disabilities to go here as you will be harassed.

Been coming here for a while now, so Ive sampled most of their menu. To someone who has a savory tooth, there are a couple dishes that might not have enough punch, but I enjoy the being able to taste the natural flavor of the veggies. The ingredients are always super fresh and healthy. My favorite dishes are the green tample salad, the blue plate, avocado sandwich, the Yukon gold, and the white lasagna is my favorite so far. Of the sauces Ive tried, the tofu sauce is my favorite. As a small person who doesnt require that much food, my only gripe is that the serving sizes are humungous! Many of the dishes come in smaller portions, so if youre like me and cant eat a ton all at once, even the smaller portions are more than enough.The service is very friendly (especially if they see you carrying a musical instrument). The best part of this place is the calmness of the outdoor patio. It absolutely lives up to its name. I feel calm and happy when Im there, very much like Im in a temple ^_^. They also have a wonderful boutique next door called mpressions, a nice place to visit after if you can spare a minute. I love this place very much, very friendly and healing. :)

Food was just ok. Definitely not worth the price. Not many good vegan options, but lots of options if you eat eggs and cheese. The mashed potatoes would have probably been better if there wasnt so much pepper in them. They really should call them pepper mashed potatoes since I would say at least an eighth of what was in the mashed potatoes was pepper. You could see the flakes all over it and thats almost all I could taste.

Since it was a bit chilly out, I opted for the outside front patio that had fresh air and some sunshine. The waitress was very kind (she never mentioned her name but she had long dark hair), and she told me the special of the day was the tamales. YESSS I have been craving tamales! I had a small cup of the split pea soup to start, which was nice and hot and very good! The soup also came with a hefty slice of walnut bread that they apparently make in-store. The tamales arrived and it was a pretty large portion so I immediately asked for a small box to pack some of it away. The tamales are open faced and have black beans and guac, and some with a side of some cooked veggies in a delicious sauce! Loved the side dish.Ill be back to try more for sure!

The broccoli tastes like no other.That being said, I will not return.February 2018:I was in the middle of a very exciting and busy day.I was feeling wonderful and it was a gorgeous day. I quickly ordered garden veggies with tofu sauce and an avocado sandwich. It was close to the time when the restaurant closes to prepare for evening meals. I was right in between my hair being done and spa facial, had just enough time for a quick bite. I took my food to go and decided to sit at the table outside the restaurant to have a quick bite of delicious veggies. I was then approached by the owner and scolded for eating out of the togo box outside in front of the restaurant. I was feeling embarrassed and ashamed. I apologized, quickly gathered my food and left. It actually bothered me so much, I had no appetite and the food was wasted.I really pondered on this for a long while, wanting to understand the situation.I want to apologize for offending the owner, that was not my intention. I feel the tone of the scolding could have been different as to where I would not have felt so awful.I have patronized the Green Temple for 13 years, it is with very mixed feelings that I shant return.

This is by far the best vegan restaurant Ive ever eaten at. I tried the vegan burger plate with cauliflower mashed potatoes and I was stunned. I literally could not tell the difference between the vegan meat and gravy and its real counterpart. Same thing with the cauliflower mashed potatoes! I ordered a second helping.. wow just wow.
