The atmosphere is wonderful here. Service is top notch and the food is delicious. I’d recommend stopping by if you are on Coronado for sure. It’s definitely a pricier option but some of the tastiest food you will have. I also enjoyed the best sangria I’ve ever had!! It was so sweet and refreshing. Absolutely recommend it.

Just got off the plane and our first tourist stop was to head to Dell Coronado to sight see. After walking several blocks we decided to enjoy Brunch at The Henry. It did not disappoint and was an excellent choice. The weather was perfect and we had the opportunity to enjoy a table out on the patio to include some people watching along with our meal. The service was top notch & our menu selections were perfect. We will definitely return in our next visit in town.

Burger was mediocre. We had the truffle fries for an appetizer which was very good. My part also has the braised short rib and the fish tacos. Wait staff was attentive and its obvious this place works well as a group. Everyone who brought food knew what food went to which seat/person and everyone was super polite and helpful.

Our server, Nick, was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed his amazing service. Food was good. The potstickers were a 10/5. The burger was a 4.5/5, only because we ordered it well done and should have done medium-well. The fish taco was great, but slightly on the dry side. We sat on the patio and had a great time, and wrapped the lunch with a bread pudding that was absolutely delicious. We said we were sharing our meals, and without asking they split the dishes over 4 plates, which was amazing. Highly recommend - dont get your burger well done. Spend with a bottle of wine was ~160

Outstanding hospitality and great food. Limited menu that focuses on quality, not quantity! Waitresses/waiters all were very nice and welcomed our dog Brody. Even gave him a treat. The coffee drinks are tasty too. They have convenient little coffee shop inside. Definitely recommend to stop by if you’re on main street in Coronado.

The food and the service were both excellent for how busy they were. The pretzel balls with cheese were so good we ordered that appetizer again…bomb! Several in our party got the All American burger and everyone loved it. Give this place a try and then head next door for ice cream

The beverages were lacking, but food was tasty. The time it took to deliver food was reasonable, and the environment was pleasant. The initial wait to get a table is usually an hour, so make reservations if you are straped for time. Overall, the experience was good. Side note: the cost of the beverages was not equivalent to the taste. The overall cost was a bit high for the quality of all food and drink.

Amazing restaurant with high quality food, friendly staff and fair priced for what you get. Culinary foodies eat your heart out. The buratta with strawberries was a surprisingly good combination. Tuna with spicy coconut rice had good texture and flavours. The key lime brûlée was a great finale!

Ok…our waiter was excellent. But…yikes very slow service. However, the food was worth the wait. The restaurant itself is quite charming, almost like you are sitting in someone’s house. It’s sort of indoor/outdoor seating right along the main drag in Coronado. Fun to watch the people and traffic as we were eating. We had the seafood platter, fish tacos ( excellent and it comes with a side of the most delicious corn), squash and quinoa salad, Mac and cheese and Caesar salad. The squash and quinoa salad was the tastiest salad I have had in quite a while. So many different ingredients and they all worked for a delightful experience. Highly recommend this salad.

Grabbed a table up against the rail, solid beer / wine selection. Split a burger which was cooked perfectly at medium, received the requested ‘crispy’ fries with a side of Mac ‘N’ Cheese. The kitchen did a wonderful job plating a split burger. Mac was a bit unconventional, but tasty / clean / light – a refreshing twist on a classic.Customer service was 5 stars from arrival. I love this restaurant! Every time I come here with my girlfriends, all the food and drinks are delicious. I prefer sitting at the bar or the patio instead of inside. The spicy margarita was perfectly made and the salads YUM, so fresh. I highly recommend this place for a nice brunch and lunch.

Went here for brunch on a Sunday. We had a reservation so we got our table quickly, but service was pretty slow. I felt like we waited forever to order our appetizer, and then forever to order our main dishes. And food also took quite a while. Short rib pot stickers were pretty darn good, but I felt they were overpriced. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was pretty good. My friends avocado toast and burger were yummy, but not necessarily dishes I would come back for. Not sure this place is worth the 5-star hype. Maybe its the drink options that make it so popular?

The Henry Coronado did not disappoint! First, the staff was so friendly w our 4 and 5 year olds. The food was top notch- as usual. It was super busy as it always is so plan time to be there- shouldn’t be in a rush. When the food was brought to our table I realized I had forgotten to request scrambled eggs (vs over easy). I quietly mentioned it to my husband, and they immediately took it back and made scrambled. Their attention to detail is incredible. One of my favorite places to go when I’m out west. Must try!

The service is top-notch! From host to manager, everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Would love more vegan options as there is only 1 option, and the harvest bowl is pretty mediocre if Im being honest. The guacamole was really plain as well and didnt have any seasoning, but the hummus was the best Ive ever had! Everything my guests had, they absolutely loved as well (coconut shrimp, filet mignon, braised short ribs, the lime tart dessert, and the chocolate torte). Great experience. Highly recommend!

My wife and I had a late dinner last night at The Henry. Food and service were excellent! We started with an old fashion and house speciality espresso martini. For appetizers we had the short rib pot stickers and pretzel balls with house made provolone cheese sauce. Both were fantastic! If you like any kind of cheese, get the pretzel app. Cesar salad was on point. Rigatoni alla Vodka had a unique twist with Chile spices and bread crumbs. Very good. Then we had the croissant bread pudding with a scope of caramel ice cream. All of the staff at the bar were fun, knowledgeable, and on it. Thank you all for a wonderful experience!

Party of 5, and all in the party said it was the best meal we have ever had. Service was unbelievably good, thanks Megan! I personally had the Seared Tuna Chopped Salad(out of the ordinary for me), it had the best flavor with several different profiles. I also had the Short Rib Potstickers, wow they were good. The mixed drinks, a Classic Old Fashion and a Ginger Blackberry Margarita were excellent. A must stop while on Coronado!!! The restaurant is beautiful inside and out.

Really cute spot in Coronado for lunch! We thought they had a brunch menu but we could have come at the wrong time/day. We really enjoyed what we got anyways so it didn’t matter. We shared truffle parmesan fries and then split the turkey blt and Caesar salad, everything was so delicious! Definitely recommend making a reservation as it gets busy but well worth the visit if you’re in Coronado.

This place is a must if you are in the Coronado area! I was very impressed with every aspect of this spot. First off it’s located in a beautiful area with other amazing spots around worth walking around after. The Henry itself has beautiful interior and exterior design! Employees at this location were especially kind and accommodating and i felt like they really tried to help with our questions and needs. It is not an understatement when i say the food was the best i’ve had in a very long time! I got the chicken pita sandwich with a side salad and hummus and veggies and WOW. I was blown away by the flavors of EVERYTHING. The hummus was seasoned to perfection as well as the chicken in the sandwich, i could tell chefs tried to add as much flavor to the food as they could. We also got the burger and club sandwich which were amazing as well. I highly recommend stoping by this place for an amazing experience and delicious food.

We tried the flower child scramble and French toast.We also tried a bunch of coffees- the cleo, the butcher and the dropout. Everything was amazing. Amazing! For a rather non-descript and relatively unknown place with dozens of other possibilities nearby, The Henry is not to be missed. The exhibition kitchen is as fun to watch as are the games on the bar screens! Unique drinks are exceptional and well thoughtout by the mixologist who demonstrates enthusiasm and depth of knowledge regarding the products and vision of the beverages. The servers are attentive and friendly without over compensating nor neglecting their other responsibilities and customers. The FOOD - wow - the food! From the appetizers which include standards (truffle fries) as well as unique items (home-made pretzel balls with cheese dip to the Entrees (Short Ribs and Lobster Spaghetti in pix) and finally the desserts. The servers worked well with the kitchen and items were delivered to the table efficiently and appropriately timed. A great date night for all.

My husband and I had lunch here recently, and I can only say this was the BEST meal we’ve had out in a long time. The food was outstanding. I had the turkey French dip, my husband had the chicken tortilla soup and tuna app together as his meal. From start to finish we had an awesome experience. My husband and I were seated quickly, we also had our infant son with us in his stroller. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. The servers/waiters/waitresses were all polite and attentive. Our main server was Kyle and he was phenomenal (which isnt a great enough word to describe our experience with him). This was the first time we ate all of our food (apps/entrees/ dessert) at the table and the portions were very filling. I even ordered a meal to go. In all, we ordered two apps, three entrees, one dessert and two alcoholic drinks. Our bill was under $200, it was $190 but still under $200 lol but WORTH IT! Plus that was a lot of food. Based on Kyles recommendations, we had the following:Appetizers: Short Rib Postickers and the Crusty Bread and Brie. Both were amazing. My only complaint was the crusty bread was extremely crunch/ hard but I was willing to risk chipping a tooth based on the flavor and Id take that risk again.Entrees: Korean Prime Skirt Steak (medium well) and the Braised Short Rib - YALL!! Both selections were extremely tender and melted in your mouth like butter *chefs kiss*. Im not a fan of blue cheese crumbles or garnish but I ate it with that Short Rib- thats how good it was AND I ordered another Korean skirt steak to go.Dessert: Warm croissant bread pudding. It was delicious and my husband devoured it. Im a texture person and this had one too many for me to indulge plus bread pudding just doesnt sound appealing to me. However, this dessert was scrumptious lolAlcholic Drinks: Winter Harvest Sangria and the Fig and Ginger Mule. Both drinks were tasty but the figs were definitely figging, nonetheless my husband thought both were very delicious.To sum it up, if youre thinking about trying this place GO! Went for dinner- we had a large group, so having a reservation was helpful! Arrive early if you don’t have a reservation. This is a busy spot and very popular!Interior decor is beautiful and clean! I went there today Thursday at 12pm. There was a five minute wait. My niece ordered the all American burger and I ordered the Hot Honey Crispy chicken sandwich. I loved the flavor, the piece of chicken was thick and juicy. The fires were pretty good too. My niece liked her hamburger but said my chicken sandwich tasted much better. Be aware they have a different menu for the weekend. We didn’t know.

First time eating here but will definitely be returning. Let me start off with the staff. Absolutely courteous, friendly, talkative and on point. Did not even have to ask for an umbrella, when eating al fresco. Both Zeke and Azalea were helpful and sanitized all even when we had a stroller with our baby! The meals were superb!! We had the 2 eggs, which were absolutely fluffy and buttery....did not need ketchup! House potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. We also ordered the strawberry French toast. Absolutely delicious! Had a vegan whipped cream, which I absolutely recommend! They served it with a house jelly made with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries, if Im not mistaken! A must!! I had the fish tacos which were really light and tasty served with black beans...my favorite! Wife had some very tasty and delicious coffee options. Came to this place today for dinner. We had a reservation but changed it to a walk-in because we wanted to get in sooner: and Brooke sat immediately although we were told 45 mins.. Brooke even checked in to make sure we were comfortable where we were seated. Which really was awesome because my husband is handicap and has back issues. Austin was our server and was attentive and a super cool guy told us how to make some burbon sauce :) He even offered dessert! Food was pretty great too. We had the truffle fries, and potsticker/dumplings they were both yummy. For dinner we got the braised short rib & lobster pasta with the black truffle. It’s a bit chatty of a place— kinda noisey. But it’s a really nice to enjoy a Sunday dinner. I’d assume lunch is a busier time.

Went here with high expectations since everyone raves about it but it was average in my opinion. I got the Turkey sandwich and my wife got chips and quac. The turkey sandwich was okay, not the greatest Ive had and the sauce on the side wasnt my favorite. The chips and guac were also OKAY. The chips were really thick and somewhat greasy so we couldnt finish it. Overall, its a nice and clean restaurant, friendly staff, and cool atmosphere.

This restaurant was simply the best in food and service! It was so busy from the time it opened, until it closed its doors at the end of the day! We enjoyed breakfast there one day and on another, dinner. So so good. Thebreakfast dishes we tasted were the belgium strawberry waffles, the lox and bagel, and the burrito. All yummy and filling! The dinner dishes we enjoyed were the bolognase, a bulgolgi beef and rice dish and the roasted chicken. All delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant!

My parents kept telling me about this place in Coronado called Henrys, so I made sure that our next family trip to SD we would stop at Henrys. Obviously I realized Henrys was in fact The Henry upon arriving to the restaurant. Its in a great spot cause after youre done eating you can walk around and visit some of the little shops! Not too far of a walk to Hotel del Coronado either. Overall food and drinks were great! Honestly you cant go wrong with anything!

My wife ordered something without Coconut and the kitchen staff came out to discuss what they could offer. The food was delicious and quick. We ordered Guacamole a burger and the quinoa. The ambience outside was wonderful in December, the Christmas decorations were up with a roaring fire and heaters that made seating outside so nice. Staff were so attentive and helpful, all ways topping up our wine. The food was incredible, the seared tuna (could have more rice), the braised rib (falls off the bone), the fish tacos were all wonderful. The Brussels side and salads were also delightful. Stopped here for a quick dinner after a day at the beach.- Had the grilled & chilled shrimp (it was yummy and if you like eating cold food out of the refrigerator then you’ll enjoy this)- The pretzels & provolone fondue were fantastic- The blackened fish tacos had a great flavor and were one of our favorite grilled fish tacos on the trip- The warm croissant bread pudding was probably our favorite dessert of the entire the trip. Great experience at The Henry. Our group started off with seasonal spritzes (grapefruit and pomegranate) that were great and perfect for lunch on the patio. I really like the grapefruit one that had sweet citrus flavors with a little white wine finish that was just perfect. I had the turkey dip with a side of the fried sweet potatoes. It is exactly like a beef french dip, just with turkey. The Turku was flavorful on its own but the au jus added a nice additional savoriness. Delicious! Fish tacos and a seared tuna dish were also had at the table and everyone was well pleased with their meal. The staff was really nice and our waiter was top notch. We can the heirloom tomato salad, Ranchero breakfast bowl, and the breakfast sandwich. I got an espresso martini and my boyfriend got a bloody Maria. When a salad is 20 bucks and you have to spend 10 more dollars to add protein, I think things are getting a little out of control. The bread pudding was delicious but it would have been nice to have a few more options for the chocolate lover or the more savory palette. Overall in ice experience. The Henry has such great food and is able to accommodate dietary restrictions like celiac disease due to gluten free menu items and allergy protocols. My husband with celiac disease got the egg white omelet and substituted potatoes with fresh fruit due to cross contamination with the potatoes.The breakfast burritos and pistachio rice crispy treat are delicious. The rice crispy treat is huge and such a unique flavor. I ordered it two days in a row while we were on thee island :) Free refills on their green and black iced tea!Service was great!Tip: if you want to order from the breakfast menu make sure to get there before 10am to be safe. I arrived at 10:12am on a Friday and they had already stopped serving breakfast (says 10:30am on the menu) due to the wait they had. I asked if I could order takeout instead of waiting for a table to order from the breakfast menu but they weren’t able to offer that. The only option at that point is to add yourself to their lunch list that begins seating at 11am.

We have been to The Henry so many times and had the absolute best food and service.Today was just an awful experience.Hour wait for 4 midday Saturday with a half empty dining room. A ton of waitstaff hanging out and lingering around the front entrance checking out the passerby’s with seemingly nothing to do.3 hostess’ at the front stand just chatting amongst themselves. No thanking any patrons as they leave or us as we left. Sous Chef spent the whole hour at the host stand, and at the time of our exit.Food quality has taken a huge dive. The burgers were mediocre, and the fries have cheapened out. The $13.25 truffle oil fries are a mess with little flavor. Burgers over-cooked and cheap meat.Had to constantly ask for waters to be filled.There’s a ton of standing around by the staff. I’ve never seen so many Sous Chefs & “Executive” Sous Chefs just chilling in the kitchen. A lot of BOH staff with titles embroidered on cook coats, but no creativity any longer. This place is The Henry, which was once a shining star in SD. Now it’s become a pricey version of Cheesecake Factory with a limited menu and much worse quality food.We really hope Blanco opening down the street does not represent the Fox Restaurant Group the way The Henry does now.

I ordered a Gibraltar espresso drink (basically equivalent to a cortado, essentially 2 shots of espresso and 1-2 oz. of frothed/steamed whole milk). Had a great dinner with some girlfriends- glad we’d made a reservation because it’s going to be crowded on a weekend. Our cocktails were delicious and the Short Ribs entree was maybe the best I’ve ever had. Server was very attentive and ambiance was perfect. Looking forward to returning for brunch and trying out their To-Go cocktails.

I may be slightly obsessed with The Henry. Having first experienced it in Los Angeles, I couldnt wait for it to open in Coronado. Everything is incredible, from the food to the decor to the service! I cant recommend highly enough!

Excellent place for breakfast.We order the smashed avocado toast,California burrito and caramel apple french toast, everything was delicious.We also tried their coffee and it was the best tasting coffee. I couldnt decide which one to try so I ordered three The Cleo, The Butcher and Wildflower. I recommend The Butcher if you dont coffee thats too sweet, yet smooth and not bitter. The wildflower was a bit on the sweet side, but definitely a must try if you like chai tea. The Cleo was without a doubt my favorite, a perfect blend of sweetness and boldness.

Katie was the most amazing waitress! Seriously, we have not had anyone this professional in years. She was fast, attentive, kind, sweet with our dog, what more could you want! The food is also delicious and you really cannot go wrong: we had the short rib potstickers, mahi tacos, and Scottish salmon. Each one was cooked beautifully! The Henry, a great addition to Restaurant Row in Beautiful Coronado. The ambiance is Chic; the menu is varied offering lots of delicious choices. The Tortilla Soup is tasty and filling. The potstickers are delicious and are prepared fresh everyday. The prices are reasonable; not cheap, not expensive.The choice of adult drinks is a bit limited but the drinks are good. I recommend the Orange Avenue Margarita. They also offer a good choice of wine and beers. They also offer a very inviting and comfortable outside seating. However. seating inside the restaurant can be loud...a bit difficult to carry on a conversation.The staff is quick, knowledgeable and friendly. Give it a try!

This was my second time visiting The Henry in Coronado and both visits were excellent. This time I had the Vietnamese Shrimp and Avocado Salad which was zesty and had a nice kick. EDIT TO ADD:We are visiting again, and we usually love the Henry. However, today we had lunch and I’m just really disappointed by how the management handled a messed up order. My sons order came out incorrectly, no problem. But my husband took a bite of his chicken sandwich and it was pink/undercooked. The manager assured us that they temp check the chicken…. But it was obviously underdone. We had to wait for 2/3 meals to come out. I was done with my meal by the time theirs came out. The manager didn’t offer anything to correct their mistake and inconvenience of our lunch being delayed/unenjoyable, except replacing the orders. Usually a good experience. Today it was not.Original post:Can’t say enough good things about this place. The ambiance, the food, the service. Such friendly people who work here. Great experience from the beginning to end. I had the absolute best hamburger I’ve ever had in my life here. Like, amazing. We tried many other items on our two week stay. The breakfast here is hard to beat. The food here tastes real and seems to be made with care. Really appreciated finding such a great place on our trip that made eating out for 2 weeks enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Come here! Best food/experience our family had in California while visiting. I had the potstickers and fish tacos and would order them again for sure. Vanilla latte for dessert was money. My husband and I went there yesterday for lunch with our one year old daughter and I don’t know what they’ve changed over there, but the food literally BLEW us away. I had the crispy chicken sandwich, he had the burger, and then we split the pretzels with cheese. Holy cow the food was great, and our server was the most delightful person! She knew the menu, she a super smart, and we couldn’t believe how quickly the food came out! We’ll definitely be back to the island as often as we can just to go to The Henry! Thanks everyone!
