This is the place for Gluten Free (not vegan because eggs are used in the waffle mix) breakfast. We ordered the bishop smoothie (includes coffee) along with the orange smoothie (includes bee pollen). The weirdo waffle and the fiscalini fruit waffle are what we ordered. The weirdo waffle has bacon. Overall, Delicious food, very friendly assertive staff, great environment.

This is the first and only place I have ever gone to that is exclusively gluten free and organic, thou the menu is small the food is phenomenal! The staff is incredibly friendly and fast! My lady and I went there in the peanut Saturday morning breakfast rush and we were served in an extremely timely manner! If you seek a different yet delicious and filling meal thisnis your breakfast place in cambria!! Will definitely revisit here in the future!

UPDATE - We stopped by here again on 11/25/23 and I wanted to drop some pics. My only critique now is that it is pricey - $80 for the four of us having a waffle each and one smoothie. Pics are of the Fiscalini, Morro Melt, Classic and my Weirdos (Banana, Peanut Butter, Bacon, Maple Syrup). Amazing food. We added a coupe of t Shirts for the kids rounding our quick visit to $140My wife was super impressed with this place - shes Gluten, Dairy and Soy free and she had so many choices! I had the Weirdo Waffle and being open to all foods, this was damn good! Great tasting, crispy waffle, topped with fried banana, peanut butter and bacon. WOW! Super hidden gem here in Cambria!

Friendly staff and nice outdoor seating. We ordered a turkey waffle with mushrooms. The onion sauce there was very salty. You have to pair it with avocado or else the waffle is dripped with maple and onion sauce. Its nice thats the food is organic and gluten free, but with additional sodium not sure how much healthier it was. Overall it was okay. Their smoothie was good though.

This hidden gem serves smoothies and blue corn waffles. I know it sounds weird but they are awesome. I am a fairly picky eater and want my waffles flour, but after my wife ordered the weirdo waffle, I was hooked. Waffle, peanut butter and bacon. Bacon. Everything is great with bacon. They have several styles to choose from if that isn’t your thing. The smoothies are thick and delicious. Multiple flavors to choose from. Eat here for the challenge of finding it (and a parking space) and enjoy.

We ordered the Morro Melt, Weirdos Waffle, and the Bishops Buzz smoothie. The waffles were amazing, and very fulfilling as the portion was large. We went in mid morning and had to wait for a good 30 mins for our order since it is a popular spot for brunch, but at the end it was well worth the wait!

So good!! Four person fam with two toddlers shared three waffles and we had a whole waffle left over! I personally also had a protein shake, and the flavors were super unique, consistency very thick like I like my shakes. Blue waffles are great if you’re gluten free. Setting and location is top notch on a happy and sunny Cambria morning. Crowed seems to be younger couples and families.

Super cute and yes, very hidden. Wear sunscreen or a hat, as many of the tables were in the sun! A tad pricey for what youre getting (just a waffle and no sides... $12!). However everything is very good and the waffles are pretty filling! Love an all-gluten-free restaurant!! If you do not want waffles or a smoothie, this is not the place for you. Probably the best place we ate in Cambria.The savory sauce they had on the waffles = yum.

A lovely location, especially when the sun is out! A cozy venue with patio tables and benches, most well-known for their superfood smoothies and blue-corn waffles. We ordered the San Luis Sunrise (free range fried eggs, bacon ends, avocado, hidden kitchen sauce) and Avila Avo (avocado, free range fried egg, “everything bagel” seasoning and tajin chili salt, hidden kitchen sauce). First of all, the blue-corn waffles are amazing — subtle, yet aromatic, blue-corn flavour mixed with the usual light sweetness of waffle batter. Top them off with eggs, bacon, avocado, and their delicious hidden kitchen sauce was delicious. Definitely recommend a trip to Hidden Kitchen (located in Cambria and Cayucos) when you are in the area!

I loved following the signs to this hidden kitchen with outdoor tables. You order at the counter, self serve some tasty coffee with either oatmeal or regular milk and wait for the most unique blue corn waffle dishes to arrive. The Cayucos Cowboy is like having Huevos Rancheros on a waffle. I loved the combination of savory and spicy flavors. The Weirdos Waffle was a grilled banana covered with amazing bacon and lots of peanut butter! I am glad we split the orders as it was fun to try two options. The atmosphere is very chill and I enjoyed the music while dining.

First time here and I have to say this place was quite an experience. My wife and I ordered the San Luis Sunrise and the Fiscalini Fruit. Both were tasty and if you have never had a corn waffle it has a slight sweetness and crunch of a typical waffle with an overwhelming taste of a warm corn tortilla. Very unique but still very good.

Best and only blue corn waffle I have ever had!I dont eat gluten-free... Now I wish I did.When I looked at the menu I was very nervous. Totally unsure about what to get but I simply asked... Whats the most popular item here?Without much thought I put in the order for a savory waffle...I sat down and experienced a wonderful ambience filled setting with vine leaves on the walls and beautiful colors and pretty lights. Similar to a bohemian style with farmhouse style elements.It was a very romantic setting with Latin music in the background.When my meal came I was astonished by the size and by the blue color of the waffle yet I was overjoyed by the amount of protein loaded with eggs and bacon and some creamy sauce.I must say this was a true experience. Something that I would recommend to just about anyone.I have never had a better breakfast. ❤️

Found this little place on our visit. Great find, simple menu with smoothies and Gluten Free Blue Corn waffles. They were awesome! Taste like a sweet cornbread with butter and maple syrup. Also right next door to a little coffee shop. The sitting area is nice and peaceful and the ladies running it are wonderful and friendly.

Really great little spot. Theyre completely gluten friendly, so its great if you have celiac disease. The food is fresh and made right when you order. They put everything on waffles made from blue corn. The smoothies are awesome and I love their peach iced tea.

Beware, the sauce on the San Louis sunrise is like a chipotle mayo and there is a lot of it, so if you like that then awesome but if youre not a fan ask for no sauce.

This is the best place to eat out we found! While on or 10 day coastal pch1 drive in the enterprise rental Tesla, It was hard to find restaurants that care about clean chemical free organic food. Even Whole foods prepared food bars have gotten very questionable ingredients now days. Its all about clean ingredients and these ladys clearly care. Wish there was more people doing food this way! We will always return to eat here.

Delicious waffles and a lot of heart and passion in this place. If you go to Cambria make sure to go Friday to Sunday since they aren’t open on the weekdays. It’s worth it to enjoy this little gem. Waffles and smoothies are great. I got the classic and it was delicious. Only thing I would ask for syrup on the side since it was a bit sweet for me. The waffle itself is gluten free, made of blue corn, very filling and satisfying. I want to try to make it on my own now. Great concept and good vibes here. A little pricey but for good service and organic, worth it.

Had the upgraded coffee - it was delicious and filling. The temp was just right. The food was great. I’m not usually a waffle person - but their waffles are awesome. Crispy on the outside, had great flavor. The patio is cozy but had an open feel. The staff are great. I ordered 3 extra bacons - I thought it was going to be strips of bacon. It was almost a bowl of cut up bacon - needless to say I will be making bacon omelette for the rest of the week because it was a lot of bacon.

OMGoodness, those breakfast waffles, tho. They are to-live-for! The coffee is really tasty and there’s several creamers to choose from…who does that anymore? This is a gem-of-a-place, honestly. Go early because its very, very popular and there’s always a line, but its so worth the wait. Honestly! Wen here for lunch on a Sunday, there was a bit of a line, 10 people or so, and it took roughly one and a half hours to get our food. We werent in a hurry, so not a big deal, but it would be nice to have employees explain give an estimated time for those that may be in a rush. I was able to let my coffee cool, finish it, and then had to wait additional time for food (maybe free refill on coffee would make the wait more enjoyable). Also there were tables around, but filled with other people waiting also, so we stood the entire time thinking we would be served soon... That all said, the blue corn waffles are good, not that long of a wait good, but good. Unless, if you entirely plan on sitting and relaxing in conversation while you wait for your food, then the overall experience would be great.

Wow! The Hidden Kitchen is absolutely delicious! Not just on the central coast culinary spectrum, but this place could hold it’s own in iconic gastronomic destinations from SF to the Big Apple baby! No joke. Wish I had pictures to back up the copy but once the ceramic hit the wood, I didn’t look at my phone a single time. When’s the last time that happen to you? You’re probably scrolling through IG on your iPad as you read this review. I ordered the Morro Melt and the rest was pretty much a dream. I can still taste the fresh blue corn and that beyond heavenly secret sauce. A detonation of goodness. But don’t take my word for it. Go get them while they’re hot. Probably be the best decision of your life. Also, I highly commend The Hidden Kitchen for doing everything in their power to be environmentally responsible. It’s not easy balancing this while having a business, so thank you for setting a good example and inspiring others to join the movement..

The waffles were delicious. I had the San Luis and my Better-half had the Morro Melt. Both were a homerun. This place would get 5 stars from me if it had more of a variety of drinks. Its a cant miss for breakfast. The staff is very friendly. Pretty impressive, putting out quality food in such a small kitchen. Ambience is 💯].
