2023-12-05 18:08:06This place isnt exactly a cheap venue to visit, but if you are in the area and have time, its worth the cost. As a whole for the Huntington Gardens, there is a wide variety of things to see and do here, such as the Library (which includes a Gutenberg Bible), several art galleries, a desert garden, a Chinese garden, an adjacent Japanese garden, and so much more! Having visited this place several times since childhood, I strongly recommend this place if you want to visit. By the way, parking doesnt come by easily, so be careful about how and when you arrive. Allen Avenue, despite being a residential street in part, is the most direct way to the parking from I-210 despite what signs suggest.Since this is specifically about the Japanese Garden, I rate that part highly and is perhaps my favourite part (with some tough competition from the nearby Chinese Garden). That wooden bridge is forbidden from pedestrian traffic, so just look and admire from a fair and reasonable distance. This garden is very photogenic, so take all the photos you want! All being said, five stars is the bare minimum I can give and I would give mich higher if I would. Respect the plants and structures, and enjoy your visit to the Huntington!

2023-10-04 13:52:20Very nice place. If someone has difficulty walking be sure to bring appropriate aids. Not a bunch of places to sit close in distance, but there are benches. If you have walking difficulties you can see part of the garden tho and it is worth the visit. Bring water and perhaps a granola bar.

2023-09-05 00:00:59The Huntington Japanese Garden is an exquisite oasis within The Huntingtons grounds. Impeccably designed, it transports you to the heart of Japan with its serene pond, lush greenery, and authentic tea house. The bonsai collection is a highlight, and each season brings a new layer of beauty. Whether youre a garden enthusiast or seeking tranquility, this garden is a captivating escape. Dont miss it!

2023-08-11 15:31:41Ive been here on multiple occasions. Its absolutely stunning and so much to explore.Came here after all the rain 05/11/23 and the rose garden was flourishing. Which are the photos I shot of my gorgeous friend.Came back again 07/31/23 and the videos and phone cam shots are what is posted. It was a cloudy day but hot. The flowers werent as flourished but its still pretty to be around.Entrance is $25pp and you can actually use that entrance fee to go towards a membership. I am not sure how much it costs but I know my friends with kids love coming here. This is definitely a kid friendly place.

2023-11-22 23:12:53An Enchanting Escape at The HuntingtonI recently visited The Huntington in Los Angeles, and it was an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting or living in this beautiful city. The gardens, art collections, and library exhibits are well-curated treasures that make the price of admission worth every penny. The highlight of my visit was the Desert Garden. I was fortunate enough to see it in full bloom, a rare and spectacular sight. The variety of cacti and succulents, interplaying with vibrant flowers, created a stunning tapestry of colors and forms that seemed almost otherworldly. It was a serene oasis that offered a moment of tranquility and awe amidst the bustle of city life. The Huntington is not just a place, but a journey through nature and art that captivates the soul. Whether you’re seeking inspiration, education, or just a beautiful day out, this institution is a must-see. It’s places like this that enrich our lives and remind us of the beauty that surrounds us.

2023-08-01 00:30:34A huge and magical estate, gardens and art gallery in the beautiful house. The library room was also cool. It was so hot there I felt like I was going to get heat stroke though so make sure you can spend time in the buildings with ac cause its not too shady or cool in the garden.

2023-06-10 00:16:32It is well worth the admission cost and the drive. This place is bigger than Disneyland and I only got a chance to visit a few gardens and they were all mire beautiful than any of the gardens I have gone to in this area. There are plenty of parking and you can actually bring some stuff to picnic to a certain point. You wont regret.

2023-05-21 00:52:52The Japanese garden is peaceful and beautiful in spite of the crowds. It has so many lovely view points and more bonsai than Ive ever seen in one place. Cant wait to go back.

2023-06-18 01:25:43One of my favourite sectiona of the Gardens here. A beautiful rotating bonsai selection, a fully reconstructed authentic Japanese home (that was once taken apart piece by piece to be sent BACK to Japan for authentic restoration work!) And a little restaurat area. This is a place where you can forget youre in California, and even forget the year.
