Our room was amazing, the view was beautiful the food was good. The 17-mile drive was gorgeous! I enjoyed the hotel grounds, while my husband golfed. He was blown away by the course. I loved how I was able to walk on paths through the golf course to get to the beach. I would go back in a heartbeat, especially if I had the same room again.

Thank you for a great 50th birthday celebration. Everything was top notch from arrival to departure! Special birthday champagne from the manager, Rob Schinnerer, was greatly appreciated. All dinner reservations were made for us and changed when we needed. Coffee and mini bar treats were so great especially to take to golf with us each day. My husband never fits in or likes the robes. I could not get him out of his HAHA. Cleaning service was top notch, wish knew her name. I came in from outside using my blanket and she asked if I wanted her to fold it, I said it was OK. She then cam back in after we left for happy hour to fold and and make it perfect, such attention to detail! I thought I would check Pebble Beach off my bucket list BUT with service like this I will be back! Thank you
Stayed here 30 years ago while my wife and I were just dating. Glad to say this place has not lost any of its magic over the years, a wonderful property in a wonderful location whether youre here for golf or walks on the beach. Truly timeless.

Our family went for hot chocolate on a Saturday afternoon. The view at the outdoor patio is to die for. The hot chocolate is delicious, and the seating was super comfortable. It was a nice day, so we didnt have the firepit lit, but a different group was using theirs. They definitely give off plenty of heat. If youre in the area, this is a place thats definitely worth visiting.
Excitedly, my daughter and I went to the back door seating area to enjoy some appetizers and watch the bagpiper. Weve been coming for 20 years to watch!! However, because we sat in the closed section, I was rudely told to move and sit in the open section. In addition, the person working there YELLED at me to put back the menu where I was seated, with a mad look on her face. I was SHOCKED! I believe she did this because she was RACIST! Get this! She has brown skin and black hair like me!! I guess she thought she could speak to two brown women in a disrespectful manner. She would have NEVER spoken to me like that had I had white skin. I was shocked to be treated so disrespectfully at this fine establishment in the twenty-first century. I have never been treated this badly in all the twenty years Ive been coming here!!

Our family went for lunch on Easter Sunday. It was a beautiful day and we had a lovely view of ocean at Spanish Bay from our table. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming, gracious, and very helpful. All of the dishes were excellent. This is the way a restaurant should be run! And, no, I dont have any relatives working there.
Attended a Rotary meeting with Leon Panetta in the meeting rooms at The Inn at Spanish Bay. The food was excellent. I had the veggie plate and it was flavorful and beautifully presented. The staff were very attentive and super nice. I had some decaf coffee and it was hot and strong. Wonderful.

Such a wonderful, modern, clean, and beautiful place. We came to get some dinner so we dont have any experience with the rooms, but from what I could tell from the outside, they were really large and nice. There were so many staff members everywhere greeting you and offering service to everyone. Roys was amazing as well. Excellent food and affordable prices, considering the environment. We even managed to see the nightly bagpiper!

We usually eat on the patio around a nice fire pit if theres a chill. Consistently excellent service, food, and the enchanting views of the ocean. Snd if thats not enough, every day at dusk the bagpipes sneak in making this venue the best environment to spend with family and friends.
You cant beat the Inn. Plus, they have a Roys built-in and they have pork and fried rice and its better than your momma makes it. Dont believe me?

The hospitality that we experienced here was absolutely wonderful. Everyone from the hotel manager, to the front desk, and even the golf pros at every course, acknowledged our anniversary. All of the employees that we encountered were great. Our room was cozy and the hotel patios and sitting areas were ideal for unwinding after busy days of golf and sight seeing. We cant wait to visit again!

From the first phone call to checking g into the room . The service we received was top notch . The beds were extremely comfortable. You can select any comfortable pillow, several options to choose from . Our view of the ocean was spectacular. The sounds of the ocean were so comforting to fall asleep too.

Ive golfed 3 times at the Links at Spanish Bay over the years, very nice and challenging course! Gorgeous views and setting, however, I would Never ever pay $1,000+ per night to stay here. Just me, but no lodging should cost that much for a single night of stay.
We spent 3 nights here. Ocean side Room. Highly enjoyable. Able to see and hear the Bagpiper from the room. Watch the Golfers and Excellent Ocean view.
Very cool spot. The outdoor seating for the bar has great views. The cocktails were all great. My personal favorite was the spicy mango margarita. The cocktails were all flavorful and strong. The bartender was very friendly and easy to converse with. This place does get busy and seating can be hard to get, so there will more than likely be a wait. I would recommend this place to grab a few drinks. Great atmosphere.
The inn at Spanish Bay is a great place to spend a few nights. The service is impeccable and the staff is dedicated to making your stay something to remember. Location overlooking the Pacific Ocean is jaw-dropping. I would encourage you to sit outside at the bar in the evening and listen to the bagpipes they play every night. If it is a cold night they have blankets to sit on your lap and they have fire pits going you can order drinks and food as well. We ordered room service for breakfast and love their eggs Benedict. We also ate dinner in the conference room where our veg was held. One night we had all you can eat lobster tails and it was quite delicious. One of my favorite desserts was their cream Brulé. This is a very high and hotel with a high end customer experience.
We enjoyed a Great Dinner at Sticks Restaurant! Excellent service and Super friendly staff!! The food was delicous very wide variety of options on the menu. We had a party of 8 and they could not have been more accomidating! The drinks where on Point and the food was delicous!
Room is clean and enough size. Bed making approach is several times a day. Staff is well friendly.
The rooms are nice and the location is terrific but its hard to give an old place like 5 stars when it costs over $1,300 per night.

We were treated as VIPs when we arrived. Everyone was very nice and they wished my wife & I a happy anniversary. What followed was a surprise, our room was upgraded, a appetizer tray was sent to our room, and Management at the Italian restaurant gave us a anniversary desert.

Our favorite place to go for an evening dinner when we visit Pebble Beach. Love the atmosphere with the bagpipe player at sunset. The food and drinks are excellent and the set is superb! A must go to place for sure! 💕

Beautiful resort, viewing areas, golf courses, spa, walking trails and amenities. This is truly a bucket list experience for golfers and foodies alike. The location is surrounded by quaint cities with great shopping, unique restaurants and fun bars like A.W. Shucks to have a few oysters and a lot of drinks. Their bourbon and spirits menu is off the charts good!

Ive been to several hotels in my life and this one was fairly good. Nice views and local recreational areas. In dining experience was expensive for an underwhelming amount of food. Also, its hard to find this hotel for some reason on all the electronic GPS the address is wrong. My sister got married here so it was fun.

This is a 5-star resort bin Pebble Beach, California. I’ve stayed here several times and enjoy dining or just hanging out in the lounge, listening to the amazing trio Thursday through Saturday nights IRS it outside by the fire pits and enjoy a hot ir cold drink and fabulous appetizers from Roy’s. Gave and Jackie are great servers and have become good friends, as have others. Yes, it’s a ritzy resort, but it has something for everyone here, from the classiest suites to a simple hot chocolate. Come and enjoy both. The view and the people you’ll meet, alone, are worth a visit!!
We came here to celebrate my husband’s milestone birthday and it exceeded our expectations! The ocean view suite was awesome and it was a perfect place for the golfer in the family to watch others on the Links course (to prepare for his round and also to reflect post round on how to do better next time). We have been lucky to have had some sweet settings over the years, but I have never witnessed him enjoying the balcony more than here. The service was impeccable from pre-start (contacting us prior to arrival) to the complimentary ride back to the airport (in a comfortable Lexus). The birthday card and sparkling wine delivered to our room was a nice touch and a great way to kick off the stay here. Two concierge members that stood out were Kimberly and Rene who were the best! Also, Tony the shuttle driver to and from the other courses was great! Bagpipes! There’s a lot more positives I could add, but this is already a long review, my apologies. Go here, have fun!

I visited the Inn on a Wednesday afternoon after taking a road trip from Los Angeles. I was greeted warmly by the hostess and requested a seat outside by the gas firepits. I ordered a pear salad with prawns and a Cabarnet. The food was delicious and the service, top notch. My waiter checked on me frequently making me feel at home as if I was dining at a neighborhood hot spot. I highly recommend the Inn. I will certainly be coming back.

Wow! This place is truly indescribable as well. Driving my convertible car to this place and got greeted with such amazing and courteous staff was an experience of a life time! Everyone that worked here define class and how excellent costumer service should be! I visited this place for meet and greet-service never failed me. I had breakfast here and their omelette was incredible. I can tell they use organic ingredients. The restaurant have a spectacular view. So be ready to enjoy it! One of my favorite time at this place is the happy hour! Drinks off course is well crafted. But it is not the drink that amazed me... it’s everything this place could offer. The weather was kinda chilly and we were given a blanket to cover ourselves while sipping champagne cocktail🌷. It couldn’t get better than that. And oh, it is truly a lovely place in Pebble Beach to have dinner and relax. Safe travels everyone! Be safe.♥️
Roys at the spanish bay was absolutely superb! I celebrated my 30th birthday here with friends . We couldnt stop raving about the entire evening . Our favorite was the swordfish. It was an absolute delight, the service was great .We hung out at the fore pits with drinks and capped off our night indoors with the live band . An overall stupendous experience

The beautiful view bumps this up to a three star review, but other than that, we wont be coming back. The staff is absolutely kind and extremely personable. The menu had ZERO vegan options- other than a large dollop of hummus and 2 stalks of celery and carrots... To top that exciting menu off, several children were running around like it was a playground. Not sure what kind of fancy or *upscale* establishment this is but where we are from this sort of thing wouldnt have happened.. Also, resort attire must mean that women can dress like theyre about to go to yoga.

Really enjoyed staying here for a few nights. Rooms are clean and spacious. Great views. White sand beach steps from property. Food we had on property was delicious. Staff was quite friendly and accommodating.10 minute drive into Monterey and, more importantly and beautifully Carmel by the Sea.

The bellhops didnt fight to the death for my amusement even after I showered them with gold nuggets. Extremely disappointed. Will not be back unless the management requires the poor to suffer at my behest like in the good ol days. Sad!
A visit to Carmel is incomplete without a stop at Spanish Bay for a cocktail, bite, or a meal. The food is excellent. The view and fire pits are so welcoming it is hard to leave. We had an ocean facing room which was spacious. The housekeeping was first class. The tips were included for the bell captain and housekeeping in the bill so we didn’t have to struggle with finding cash to tip the attentive bell staff. If I had to find something to quarrel with it will have to be the staff at Roys. Unfortunately the chefs meal was spoilt by the staff as they didn’t deliver the silver to the table and kept us waiting for the cutlery ruining a fine meal. A small glitch in an otherwise magical stay.
I have not been a guest at the Inn at Spanish Bay.I have enjoyed many lunches at Roys. I love the outdoor dining with the serene and magnificent view of the ocean. I often order the Bento Box.For years I dined at the Lodge at Pebble. Then I fell in love with Roys.The personnel are always gracious and welcoming.It is a 2-hour drive from my home. Yes, a 4-hour investment to enjoy a heavenly experience. 😊♥️
I went to a wedding here. It was the most beautiful wedding I have been to. the hotel was beautiful, the views of the links and the ocean were amazing. I dont think there was any issue all evening everyone had an amazing time including the newlyweds.
Wonderful view of the ocean from our suite… but you know what they say can ruin a company’s entire experience? The customer service. No communication on check out time, had to wait much longer than usual for someone to help us at arrival at the front desk, poor attitude when speaking to us, and when it was time to check out (which was an hour earlier than we had assumed, since no one communicated that information originally) they wouldn’t stop banging on the door and calling the room while we were rushing as fast as we could to leave… also someone walked in without knocking while I was naked and it made me feel SO uncomfortable and exposed.If you choose to stay here, be aware of what you might encounter.

We are a vegan family and we are so pleased with how well we fared at Spanish Bay. The food was great. Every place you can eat can accommodate vegan. One of the room service managers is actually a vegan and he was super helpful during the beginning of our stay. He told me all I needed to do was tell them what kind of ingredients I liked in my dishes and they would make something special for us. All of the spa/bath products are cruelty free, which is nice. Everyone who works there is so incredibly nice and they actually knew what vegan meant (like, every single person I dealt with had a clear understanding, which is amazing). They even marked in our reservation that we were vegan. We will definitely be going back!
I am still thinking about this place. The obvious is that the location is super cool. Staff is superb, spot on.A tip, I believe they need to hose the patio off, seems to have a weird seems of rotten food.

Amazing experience at Spanish Bay. Service was top notch. Amenities were perfect. Loved our view overlooking the first tee box. We enjoyed a great breakfast at Sticks before heading out for a round of golf at 12:45PM. This gave our twosome just enough time to finish the round at sunset with the bagpipes playing in the wind. The course was on immaculate condition. We ended the day with an exceptional dinner at Roys. Perfect ending to a perfect day! Highly recommend visiting. Is it worth the price? Every penny!

Ocean view rooms with balcony overlooking golf course. Easy access to the beach using the footpath behind the hotel where you can surf on the north end of the beach. Rooms have fireplaces, turndown service, self parking, free use of the pool and fitness center nextdoor.
Just...Wow. Pure luxury. All of the staff members are incredible. They have amazing food. There is a bagpipe player that plays out on the hill every night. Such a great experience.
I visit Monterey every couple years and will always stop here. The food is amazing, the patio is unbelievable, and the views are pretty unbeatable.
What a wonderful place to stay, the golf courses at Pebble Beach are beautiful. The Inn is great, Chris from the reception desk took great care of us during our stay. What a wonderful 5 Star +++ experience. The turn down service was a nice touch, and all of the staff were extremely helpful and kind.
The only thing I can comment on are the beaches on the 17 mile drive, 3 as a score is because I cant rate them fairly. I did use a bathroom or locker room service was friendly at entrance, with clear instructions to the restrooms.
I stayed here before golfing at Pebble Beach and it is a delightful hotel. Namely the service is excellent and the facilities are quite nice as well. I visited during the Christmas Holiday seasons, so everything was charmingly decorated.You cant even tip any of these guys for going over for you without them reminding its already included.For breakfast, I suggest their omelets. The back patio allows for some breath taking views.
While I was only here at night (golfing and sight seeing during the day), the rooms were spotless and immaculate, the food was great, and the experience was incredible. Very happy with the stay!
Havent stayed or eaten here yet, but walked the golf course and enjoyed the bagpiper. We stumbled upon it when walking the boardwalk enjoying the beach. We will come back and experience it for sure

Wow! Gorgeous place for special occasions. It is $$$$$. Right on the ocean. In order to go here you must go down 17 Mile Drive but if you tell them your destination you dont need to pay. There is plenty of parking. The restaurants are elegant, the rooms are quite nice. Reservations are recommended for both. Even though it is expensive it is always crowded. The views alone are worth the price. Holiday decorations are lovely. Staff is professional and well trained.Plenty of parking.If this review was helpful please tap LIKE.

The Atmosphere and view were very nice, service was great, but the food at Roys was not as good as I expected. The fish and steak seemed good, but the burger buns were dry, salads were average and there was only 1 vegetarian option on the whole menu. The menu was actually less expensive than I expected, $$-$$$, but the buffet option was almost $60! Not sure why that was so much more than any meal.
This is a five star resort and golf course right next to the Pacific ocean and Asilomar state park. I had walked in from the Oceanside while staying at a nearby retreat center. It was Easter Sunday in the afternoon and I was surprised pleasantly to notice there was a small petting area set up for the children. There were miniature goats, domesticated and lovely chickens, bunny rabbits and smiling children and their parents. The golf course is beautiful right next to the ocean. I had dinner in Roys and tasted many good wines at the stave.
The staff is top notch. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Casual dinners with spectacular views. Conference facilities were fantastic.
Great place for outside drinks and appetizers watching the sunset. Super scenery, but Roys gets so crowded on weekends and during the summer. Good food inside, and terrific adult drinks. Not a good place to eat or drink if youre in a hurry, so patience is essential. If you hate valet parking like me, there is a convenient and free self park lot
This is definitely a great place to get a bite to eat. While the food is not as elaborate as what they serve at the bench, the fire pits are superior. Mostly bar food but everything is high quality
Beautiful hotel with unbeatable views of the waves crashing on the beach and the world-famous golf course. Elegantly decorated for the holidays. Roys, the restaurant inside the hotel, has a wall of windows overlooking the coastline and golfers, as well as a nice variety on their menu and generous portions that make the cost feel more reasonable. Its not an everyday dining option, but for special occasuons or work functions its a great choice.

We were just there for an hour or two checking out the cars for Car Week, but the building and surroundings were gorgeous. It definitely made us want to stay there someday when we can afford it! Our only complaint was the hand soap in the bathrooms was VERY strongly scented and overpowered the taste of our drinks from the bar.
Across the street from my house and I feel so lucky! Sticks has great food and a fun atmosphere. Roys is the best experience for a special night.wxpensive but worth it,fabulous food and drinks .At sunset the bagpiper plays and walks up and down the hills at waterfront playing!!!music in the lounge is always goood(expensive ) drinks and great entertainment.
My wife and I love coming here. Were too poor to ever stay here as overnight guests and its obvious when we walk into the hotel because were not dressed as nicely as everyone around us, but that doesnt stop the awesome employees from helping us feel right at home! My wife and I make an annual trip to Monterey and we always make sure to stop at the Inn at Spanish Bay for lunch before we leave. Service here is always fantastic and they bring lunch out to you while you sit comfortably by the outdoor fire pits! The employees are warm people and professional workers. They will cater to your needs to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The employees are friendly and will spark conversation with you. Then theres the food. The club sandwich and the burgers here are amazing! Best club and fries in the Bay Area. I order the same thing every year and the quality never changes. This place is 5 stars!

This review is based ONLY on the wine bar. We did NOT stay at the hotel. Stopped here on our visit along 17-mile drive. Staff were friendly and attentive. Esposa and I split a bottle of white wine with our best friends and enjoyed the great view outside from the lawn. Coming from Texas, it was interesting to see fire pits outside. Very nice place.
We did not spend the night. We only ate at the restaurant. The food was good and the view was even better. But the best part was the steps.
We were at the Inn at Spanish Bay for drinks at Roys. This place has one of the best views on the coast of California. Beautiful decor and furnishings - but its a little pretentious. Outdoor there is a great patio and fire pits for the evening. The staff is very friendly and customer service was excellent
My girlfriend and I stopped by for sunset drinks at The Inn during a drive along 17 Milr Drive. The ambiance was excellent, service was prompt and there were several nice touches such as blankets on the outdoor patio by the fire pits. Would highly recommend for any occasion!
I was there for the music, many people were outside at the fire pits. Beautifully decorated for Christmas and the trio was great.
Lunch and dine here every time visiting the area. Excellent service and very good foods. Reservation needed ahead of time for dinner thats always crowded. Everything in the menu is good. Make sure you get to Roy restaurant for better food than sitting on the side of the hotel even food came from same chef

The daily bag piper at sunset by the beach is amazing. The fire pits were very cozy. However there were used wine glasses laying around every where that hadnt been cleared and the furniture in the lobby was a bit dated. Sunset was spectacular.
It’s a very nice hotel with a great staff though its a bit limited. They really need to have a real person answer the phone as the current auto answering service takes you through several automated menus. Also, the gym is very limited hours so if you’re golfing during the day it’s not very practical. For the cost, the facilities should be more accommodating. Also, they missed making the beds one night there despite me being out of the room the entire day (with no signs on the door).
I went to the restaurant for lunch. Its pretty fancy, with a Hawaiian food theme. The prices are high ($35 for a bento box), but the food was tasty, with good service and a great view. Its a very touristy area catering to wealthy people; set your expectations accordingly.

This is a very nice golf course and the accomodations are 1st class. Food at Roys was amazing followed by a cigar by the fire after dinner. What an amazing experience, already trying to find a way to get back out there.
I appreciate staff first, service second, resort amenities last:I saw a good host of their hospitality staff during my visit and I think they were all wonderfully helpful. I know it must be difficult to remember visitors in a sea of hundreds but those people held a memory like a steel safe. I honestly felt like I had a private Butler who had known my quirks for the past decade.The catering got a bit overwhelmed when we had a large gathering, but you could see both the stress on the faces of the staff and the dedication that they wanted things to be just right. Reading those subtle social cues really makes you appreciate them.Building was clean, everything tidy. Nice visit.

As a Golf Travel Company, we love bringing our guests here! Visited here in February 2020 and caught a GREAT week in terms of the weather. Brilliant Sunshine was in the forecast and boy did the area deliver in terms of both scenic beauty and amazing, amazing staff around every turn. Everyone at the Pebble Beach properties were so professional and helpful. While I didnt stay at the Inn this trip (#goals!), our guests did. I CAN report that our guests all said they had an amazing time!! The courses our guests played are world-class, many of which having held Major Championships, multiple times (Pebble Beach). Scenery was truly spectacular! Awe-inspiring, really. And the entire area is known for its fine dining. On property here are the award-winning Roys and then you have Sticks. Well done guys! But this does not even BEGIN to mention the beauty of Carmel and places such as the iconic 17-mile drive (must see!) and then close by is Carmel-by-the-Sea. A charming town seemingly hand-made for a beautiful evening stroll after catching the sunset at Carmel Beach......I cant wait to be back!! After having just visited the area, its easy to see why so many choose Monterey as a place to live or simply vacation -if youre lucky enough! Thank you!! And thank you for the great hospitality. I am so saddened by the service I received and the welcoming. I have visited The Inn at Spanish Bay countless and had amazing times. The only smile or welcome was the front door staff. The staff out on the patio where so unprofessional and gave false promises to our seating arrangements. I have to say all and all Spanish Bay has fallen with its charm and class.
We had lunch at Roys and enjoyed the overall experience. Hotel staff was friendly and attentive and the lobby was beautifully maintained. Staff at Roys was also friendly and attentive. The restaurant was well kept and food was delicious. Service was speedy and friendly. We will definitely return.
This is a top-of-the-line establishment. Golfing in pebble beach or nearby, this is where you want to stay. Despite its scenic location, expect the full array of amenities, and services, including most of the popular food delivery apps, that is, if you choose not to dine on location which many travelers say is a great experience as well.
Enough parking for anyone. Had lunch on the outside patio of The Sticks restaurant. Good service and reasonable pricing. Also one of the best desserts Ive ever had - the cookie skillet. Sticks Ale was a decent beer resembling serveral fruits

Always a delight. I love this resort, it has a very welcoming and cozy charm, the staff are always on point and polite. If you stay anywhere in pebble must go to Peppoli for an amazing italian dinner and Traps for a night cap or just a great place to hang and enjoy the view and the bag piper at sun set. Passed through the 17 Mile Drive for lunch at STICKS and had a great experience. Was with my wife for my honeymoon and they gave us a free dessert! Our entrees of Fish and Chips and the STICKS burger were delicious as well. Would definitely recommend for a nice stop for food on the 17 Mile Drive.
Forgot the name of the dish. Food came out cold. They couldnt let us get another heater due to them not being allowed to move them so we basically froze. Not sure why we werent sat on their patio area with the firepit tables. I called before going and the hostess asked if we were celebrating anything which we were. My dads big 50th and their wedding anniversary which was on the same day. We check in and they acknowledged the couple ahead of ours birthday but didnt mention anything to us which I was surprised. The whole way through they never made it feel special. It actually felt like we were in inconvenience to the waiter. He wasnt very personable. Whats funny is my brother took me to lunch at Roys before and based on that experience I made reservations for my parents because theyve never been. Well they clearly dont have the same service for dinner as they do lunch. It should be the same across the board. Needless to say they wont be coming back. I felt bad because I chose the place in the hopes that it would be great... its unfortunate.
Such a fantastic setting on the Peninsula with great golf and ocean views and of course the daily bag piper. Billion dollar views from Sticks and Roys with the outdoor fire pits. Expect nothing but the best from Pebble Beach Resorts.
We visited the Sticks Grill. Casual dining with good service. Nothing but ordinary. We were starving post golf and opted to eat here to avoid a wait common at the better lunch spots in Pebble. Wouldnt go back unless starving. Decor is marginal at best.
If you are looking to shell out a little extra cash, this place will not let you down. They take service to the next level, the history, amenities, views and even the restaurants on site are top notch. Skip the hay, try for spyglass
The service is top notch, as expected. The resort has a ton to offer, from amazing golf to an active social scene. Its not uncommon to sit outside during sunset listening to bagpipes & run in to a celebrity or pro athlete, refurbish during the AT&T Pro-Am.

Really enjoyed our time at the Inn at Spanish Bay. Definitely a top notch facility. That being said, youre definitely paying for the location. The hotel is great, but not $790 a night great, but given that you get access to all the golf amenities the price is probably worth it.

Go for the view! The bagpiper at sunset is a must for happy hour. Get there early to get a fire pit seat or be ready to make friends and share a table or bench others. Show your receipt from coming in the gate to get a complementary cocktail.
A fabulous location, at premium prices but with a surprisingly shabby interior decoration: at almost $1000/night one doesnt want to see cheap plastic bathroom cabinets, the cheapest shower faucets and other basic WC components that were OK in the 70s but no longer acceptable.A taste that caters to old money tastes (emphasis on old). But, if you crave Nordic modernist interiors, curated design, minimalism and the contrast of raw materials, this is not the place for you.
Roys was great food with vegan options and lovely view. However the Asian hostess (Islana?) at the entrance was rude and condescending. The other hostess (Taylor) sweetly tried to make up for it though. Id recommend this place but would appreciate if Islana (?) could be given feedback.
We enjoyed a hearty lunch in the bar, with some friends. The burger and the fslish tacos were great. The drinks were inspired, and the view was breathtaking. Friendly, competent staff rounded out the experience.
After a round of golf my husband and I stayed for the bagpiper who starts playing at the 1st hole around sunset. So we grabbed a firepit table and ordered a couple drinks and some appetizers. We order the pork sliders, which were delicious. My husband picked out the nachos, they were huge! We filled up just on those things but couldnt resist ordering a carrot cake to go. We were very happy with what we had and all the employees were very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful hotel with great service. Beautiful views from most rooms. There is some good restaurants here too. One of my favorite parts of the day is when the piper closes the day coming off the course while you sit around the fire pits with a drink

A lovely course on the Monterey Peninsula which also has 2 great places to drink, especially at sunset.Make sure you gets to Roys before sunset, around 30 minutes before to see the piper play. AmazingIf its cold, as often is when the sun decides to hide, there are large firepits to sit around 😄
Beautiful location to spend the day and night. The golf course is amazing and looks rather difficult. Careful of the wavy and slick greens, especially hole #9. The food and service were amazing.
Rays is a great restaurant with a nice mix of menu items that are all well-seasoned and flavorful. Be sure to catch the 6:00 bagpiper who strolls the golf course every evening with his winsome, haunting songs that flow over the manicured course and out to the sea.
Great bar menu in a beautiful setting. It was windy and cold when we were there, but they had blankets so we could still enjoy the outside. A nice touch!
Newly renovated rooms at the resort were fantastic. After having stayed at both The Lodge and here, I actually prefer the Inn at Spanish Bay. The facilities are great with the pool very close to the rooms, a great Italian restaurant (Peppoli), and beautiful views the golf course. If you want to head over to Pebble, it is only a short drive or shuttle away.
The Inn is a spectacular stop on the 17 Mile tour. Parking is very limited at many of the most popular spots. Great areas for taking breathtaking photos. If you in the mood for a bit of low speed cruising on some tight roads then this is the tour for you.
Pricey, but great hotel right on the water overlooking the Links at Spanish Bay golf course. Restaurants on site are always high quality, and easy walking distance to the ocean with free shuttle service to Pebble Beach.

Very clean, very long corridors and the carpets in the corridor gets cleaned each day. Efficient staff great toiletries and each room has a fireplace and each bathroom has a tub and stand. Great restaurants and of course walking and running trails along the coastline
Absolutely stunning views of the water from.the bar and restaurant. The golf course is magnificent. Sadly, the inn rooms are tired, noisy and dank. I was disappointed with the accomodations. The quality did not fit the price.
We went to Roys for lunch on a Saturday. It was oddly quiet, probably because of the storms that week. The service was friendly and excellent. I highly recommend the Butterfish. I went with the bento box because it offered a great number of delicious choices for a mid range price compared to the rest of the menu. We also had the chance to sample their delicious bbq ribs. All of this while enjoying picturesque views of the ocean. The whole experience was great!

Great place to chill and enjoy drinks, a romantic stroll over looking the Pacific Ocean, hold hands and kiss on the veranda, listen to jazz or smooth music inside or outdoors. Good food. We attended a party outdoors on the patio. The host provided drinks and heavy hors dourves. The bagpiper played in the distance and was a beautiful background music as the sun gently set on the water. Excellent!

It was relaxing to sit outside by the fireplace. It was foggy so could not see the sunset. Drinks were delicious except for spicy mango margarita.
Best place I have ever stayed even better then Waldorf. Everyone really friendly. Service everywhere is excellent!!! Tipping is included in price so that was really good so do not have to drag out cash all the time.

Just attended Roys luau on Saturday. It was fabulous!!! The food, the entertainment and wine tasting was just amazing. If you ever have a chance to attend next years event I would highly recommend it.

The absolute best place in Pebble Beach. Any stress one accumulates will totally be eliminated while having drinks outside, in front of their fires. If you have the opportunity to be there during sunset, when the classic Scottish gentleman plays the bagpipes, you will truly feel ultimate bliss.
Excellent customer service, the location is beautiful with easy access to the ocean and a beautiful golf course. There are great roads to bike on and trails to hike. Rooms were impeccable.

Overpriced luxury. The grounds in front of the inn were shabbily kept. The staff was friendly enough. The Golf course was nice with the ocean in the background. Not as challenging as I would prefer but up to par.
Could not find enough good things to say about our stay at The Inn at Spanish Bay. Every last touch is 5 star and the views of the coastline are fantastic. We are from the east coast and this was our first real exposure to Northern California and it blew our socks off. Unforgettable trip, due in no small part to the The Inn and their wonderful staff. We hope to get back there some day.

The bar/outdoor drinking area at Spanish Bay Inn is one of the hidden gems of California. The scenery is unbelieveable, especially at sunset when the bag pipes are playing. Truly the epitome of why everyone should visit California at some point during their lifetime.

As you walk into the outside seating area, over looking the gentle waves from a short distance and the intricate design of the golf course laced alongside of the beach, you want the time to stop.We enjoyed our lunch on the patio. The menu is a combination of Asian and American cuisine. The appetizers were delicious and nicely presented. The hamburger however, was too dry (ordered medium well but came well done). The service was great and everything else was delicious. I highly recommended this beautiful hotel and restaurant.

Its a really relaxing place to stay.We usually stay in an ocean view room which we love . The restaurants, Roys, Peppoli and Sticks are really good. Stave is also a great place to enjoy wine.There is also the fire pits to enjoy drinks, watch the bagpiper and sunset .

The fireplace in the room is perfect to make a cozy environment before bed. Bathrooms are large and accommodating for sharing the room with your spouse. Restaurants are all great especially Pepoli. The fire pits and bag piper are a great way to start the evening- can be a bit cool bring a jacket. Definitely a special place.

They have indoor & outdoor dining. Either in or out, would not disappoint. Great menu selection and the cocktails were a hit! After our incredible meal, we went out to the patio area and enjoyed the incredible Pacific Ocean view. We got a glimpse of the bagpiper and stayed next to the fire pit until the sun disappeared. What an amazing location. Definately will return again & again.

2023-08-13 21:35:52Didnt spend the night so I cant speak to that, just came to watch the daily bag pipes played each evening as you enjoy cocktails from one of their many fire tables overlooking the ocean. If you are visiting the area and cant afford to get a room, definitely still worth a visit each night around 5 pm. I believe the times change so may be best to call ahead.

2023-10-24 21:21:159/23 - one wouldnt expect to find mold or disintegrating tile and grout in the shower at a hotel of this level but we did, and it had obviously been this way for a while. Housekeepings solution was to douse the shower with bleach the next day which added another offensive odor to the mix. Its clear this hotel is in need of repairs. We had a similar experience while staying in this wing of the hotel last year...there was an odd odor from the air conditioning vents. Twice is enough for us, well not stay here again even if it means Pebble Beach golf is off the calendar. There are too many other choices to consider.

2023-08-23 03:25:59While the view is superb and we enjoyed the bagpipes before sunset, I was extremely disappointed at the deplorable conditions of the boardwalk. The golf course was pristine .meanwhile the boardwalk leading to the beach was unsafe and people were walking through the environmentally protected grasses because of that. Clearly, the inn cares little about the boardwalk and it is all about the golf.
