I had dinner here twice in the last month. Both times all the dishes we tried were delicious. Great cocktails, excellent service. Waiters know food and drinks really well. I was told they change their menu seasonally. I will come back!

This place is located in the heart of Los Gatos downtown. We loved the service & ambience. Has more of a bar vibe than a restaurant. Nice cozy place for dinner & cocktails. They have a huge menu for drinks. They are dog friendly.

Came here on Valentine’s Day with a reservation. We got seated five minutes ahead of our reservation and had a very attentive waitress. We opted in for two glasses of wine to go with our a la carte meal since we weren’t interested in their valentines fixed meal.We had:- Housemade bread ($6): love me some warm bread, butter was a little too salty but the fluff and taste of the bread was perfect.- Filet mignon tartare ($10): also on the saltier side especially with the caviar so the kettle chips helped balance it alot. I honestly liked the kettle chips alone without the beef tartare.- Warm winter salad ($18): a fan of the mandarin bits and pistachios of the salad but the leaves were pretty big and messy to eat. The waitress saw us struggling and shared the feedback with the kitchen. She even comp’ed it in the end which was really sweet of her.- Cured tai snapper crudo ($24): the little mandarin bits were a very interesting addition to the vinegar-y flavor overall. I started sending the Asian fusion in many of these dishes. Not my favorite dish.- Prime New York Steak ($50): from the valentines menu and so thankful for the waitress to share we could order that dish a la carte even though it’s not on the usual menu. This was my favorite dish! Loved the cheesy mash combo called aligot (learned a new word heh). So tasty and cooked perfectly.- Short ribs ($45): perfectly cooked and was so extremely soft! My second favorite dish. The smashed baby potatoes were also amazing with crisp exterior and soft interior. Recommend trying!Overall the dinner was around $216 with the comp’ed salad. Solid spot.

It could be 3.5 there are good things and bad things. Service is one of the good. Sitting out side with your dog and good heaters. Menu doesn’t have many options and in some cases we didn’t like some flavors like the pork terrine but the fig and bureta was great. The burger the meat was good with the hash browns the bread not . Selection of Wines is good. Ambiance is also good.

Weve definitely been wanting to try here but didnt get the opportunity to until now. Good things we came at the time we did because it gets so busy early! Milk Punch was super floral and delish, Seasons Change was very refreshing, Mellow Yellow being pretty interesting and corn-y, and probably the best part was the chicken slidero (slider & sando) with caviler! The flavor of the overall sando overpowered the cavier but a nice touch nonetheless. Cant wait to come back and try the other goodies at a later time!

We love this place. This is was the second time Id been and it totally lived up to my experience experience. Great wine and cocktail menu. And the food is just brilliant. Seasonal and incredibly tasty, its a small menu but you want to have everything in it. And on this visit they even had sweetbreads - one of my all time favorite things that you just dont see on the menu in California that much.If you can get a seat out front its a wonderful place to sit back, watch the world go by, and enjoy the great food and wine.

One word: Impeccable. This restaurant has the winning trifecta: ambiance, quality food & drinks, and excellent customer service. Everything we ordered was outstanding the broccolini, fried cauliflower, fried chicken tartine, and pesto pasta were all very unique and used top quality ingredients. The cocktails were absolutely divine! Ended the night with the chocolate tart which had the perfect blend of flavors: chocolate, caramel, vanilla, and lemon zest.

Took my wife for Valentines day. Was able to make it to the bar without a reservation, incredible menu, every bite was on point. A skilled bartender kept delicious, creative drinks flowing. High-end quality at mid-ranged prices. This wont be our last visit.

Definitely not what I was expecting. You can tell a lot about the ownership if they dont care enough to reply to customers feedback. Owners dont seem to care about what customers concerns are at all. All plates are stripped down to bare minimum, and the service is sub par, and Definitely not worth it.

We ordered drinks and one starter on a Friday evening with the intention of ordering more food after that .The drinks came quick and were decent ( we ordered a daiquiri and a wine ) but the solitary starter — a tuna plate — didn’t come for 40 minutes - absolutely so not expected for a supposedly upscale $$$ place .The solitary server had other tables to cater to, so they didn’t care that the time was running out to order dinner or further courses …. All in all a very very poor experience on a Friday evening .We paid for the drinks and requested the check to leave since other places around were closing for dinner . For comparison, we went to Los Altos grill last Friday which was overflowing and was $$$ too, but the food as well as service was impeccable . So I give Lexington House no pass for charging so much for every item but not caring about customer experience .

Haven’t been here in a number of years - thought we’d give it another chance. New York steak - looked like it came from a low end grocery store and was under cooked. What was worse - my meal can e10 mins before my wife’s - how is that ok? Average food and bad service - there are far better places in Los Gatos than this for the money

It was a pretty bad experience. We went there for dinner on a Friday night. We ordered a couple of drinks and food. They gave us the drinks almost right away but there was no sign of any food even after 40 minutes of waiting. We had to leave after our drinks and eventually went to another restaurant to get food after that.I would think twice before recommending this place to anyone.

Delicious craft cocktails to compliment the innovative and flavorful menu. The service was impeccable and we left with the promise to return again soon. I had the charred octopus with squid ink tzatziki, paired with roasted beets/brie/cherries. My friend had the salmon entree. Marvelous!! Dont forget to make a reservation though.

Overpriced, small portions of mediocre food made with high quality ingredients. Good service though.We were a group of 4 pe, tried 7 dishes on the menu; none of the dishes were noteworthy. Cocktails were meh, and wine no more than OK.We seriously had to go across the street to get a (much more satisfying and 1/10 of the price) pizza slice after dinner just to feel satisfied.We are well traveled and experienced in fine dining on several continents. This was finedining only in price.

My wife and I were celebrating her birthday, and our entire experience couldn’t have been better! Initially, I called to see what extras they could do for a birthday, and a pair of champagne sips and dessert w/ a candle were offered. So kind! When we first arrived early, Kierra was very friendly at the bar and helped us select our cocktail hour drinks, which were amazing. Super fresh, tasty, and balanced. We had a couple great oysters, and their garlic fries were unreal. Then we pivoted to our reservation where my wife was surprised with the champagne by the owner, Stefan, and then our server Daisy was friendly throughout our time. Outdoor seating was heated well, and the vibe was chill, yet energetic. Perfect. It ended with a fun candle in their white chocolate dessert, provided by the owner, and now we cannot wait to return. It is a nice restaurant with outdoor seating area, enjoyed the street view, however, the Quality of food was tasty. The food was little pricy with little choices for customers to try on the menu. Most of the food options were seasonal which did not give us many options to pick from. They did not have dessert options for celebrations, and yet charged us even though we did not order any desserts from the restaurant.

The food and drinks were very good, but very small. The house bread comes with 2 slices of very crunchy bread (my husband called it a crouton) and a small dollop of good cultured butter. We were expecting a basket of warm soft bread with a little more butter.The Korean fried cauliflower was excellent, but again, a little small for sharing size portions.We left after appetizers and one drink, because we wanted something a little more filling. We waited 25 minutes for a table. Not only that but we were told at 6:30 they ran out of burgers. 9:00 we see 2 BURGERS COME OUT IF THE KITCHEN. And honestly, lamb shank was microwaved. I went there after a big ride. Got a nice outdoor table without a reservation. Got two appetizers. The chilled melon soup with prawns was gorgeous with interesting flavors and refreshing, slightly sweet with a bit of heat. We had a wonderful evening at The Lexington House!Tables are well spaced outside, and theyve set up dividers between the table and the sidewalk and it feels more personal.Drinks were well made, though one was watery.We got mostly appetizers and everything arrived beautifully. My favorite was probably the hamachi crudo, which had the sauce in the middle and fish on the side of the plate.Some of the food seems more overly dressed than others, though mostly the freshness of the food comes through.The server missed an order so that one came later. Not sure were this one went wrong. The menu/dishessound good but the execution left us confused. Lets start with the good. The chicken liver mousse was well prepared, flavorful and rich with the right amount of seasoning (would order again). The surprise winner was pasta with a rabbit ragu. The sauce was rich but balanced out with pickled vegetables and the pasta was perfectly cooked, the kids even enjoyed it (did tell them it was chicken). These two were the only dishes that were not overpowered by sauce/seasoning. The beef Tartare was completely overwhelmed by the egg and drowned out everything else. The toast with pickles was good and actually did not even need the tartare. The knife work was off as there were bigger chunks of beef. The surf and turf just had way to much sauce/seasoning on the beef that you could not taste anything else and the lobster was mixed into a salad that made it impossible to taste. Lastly the kids were going to share the chicken but neither enjoyed it. When I tasted it it had a fishy flavor that I could not get past. Do not plan on visiting again.

This was by far one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in recent years. The menu offers small selection to begin with and they were “out of” two items on the menu. We selected the salad which was okay and the cauliflower which had a unpleasant melted cheese which tasted like a rotten cheese (I’m sure it wasn’t but it tasted very bad). For the main course, we ordered their steak, ox tail with pasta and clams in tomato sauce (does it sound appetizing?), (these items were the closest things to normal food on the menu). The waiter ran back and forth so many times and we had to ask for napkins and silverware. The service was extremely slow and it was at the end of the night. Twenty minutes after the pasta dish came in, they brought the clams and twenty five minutes later the steak, which by then the two earlier dishes were cold. When I expressed our disappointment with the food and service, the owner offered to reheat the clams and the pasta, which made me believe they must have a microwave ( good restaurants must never have microwave in their kitchen). He nicely offered not to charge us for the food, which it made us feel bad because the restaurants are just beginning to barely get back to normal, and we didn’t want to get free food or waste the food. However my husband’s steak had that same melted cheese on it, which was awful, we didn’t want reheated steamed clams and didn’t want anything for free and to take it home. He explained that they have a small kitchen and we must have had each dish as it came to the table. Even if this restaurant is offering all their food to be shared, we’ve always had all the food brought to us at the same time, and we’ve shared our plates occasionally without having to wait for each dish. The concept is a terrible concept, because the customers can be full by the time the other dishes come in or what if they don’t like that dish. I could’ve given him ideas on modifying his kitchen without spending too much money, but we were too hangry, disappointed and frustrated. The small kitchen should not stop him from serving food on timely manner. Some of the best food trucks, which also work in confined space serve more than one dish at a time. The waiter noticed that we’re not eating and waiting for the steak to come (which should’ve been cooked sooner than the other ones), and yet he never wondered why. Also the food is in no way shape or form American or Californian, it mostly has Asian flare to it. Nice owner but terrible experience.

The service was fantastic! One of the owners was there on the evening in which we ate at the Lexington House, and his energetic personality really made the night special. He engaged with conversations with all of his customers as they ordered, and often checked in as the food came out to see how everyone was doing. Both his cocktails and mocktails were amazing, making the restaurant a great choice even if you have children. The food was also superb, with my quail being cooked to perfection. All together, it was a great experience that I hope to have again.

A friend who lives in the area recommended his place for meeting up. Casual sitting, a few tables, and you can also sit at the bar. The selection of liquor is great and the classic cocktails taste good (though they have some custom cocktails that they came up with, which were a miss for me).The food was amazing. That is the one thing that stood out for me at this bar. And for that alone, I have recommended many of my friends in the bay area to visit this place.

This place is for foodies. We had a big party so I got to try a number of dishes and they were all superb. The lamb was like a stew with a delicious blend of spices and flavors such that the meat was not at all gamey. The fried Brussels Sprouts were insane...crispy, vinegar/sweet dressing with a bit of a kick. Korean cauliflower had just the right amount of spice so you could truly enjoy the creamy Mayo/spice sauces. I really expected not to like it. The funnel cake was an other-worldly combination of passion fruit, cream, chocolate, and a sprinkle of bacon (truly intoxicating). Extra star just for their truly *adult* mocktail Yerba Buena. Thank you for thinking of us non-drinkers who still want a fun cocktail.

The best place for drinks in LG. They have a great variety of mixed drinks. The drink menu rotates fairly frequently, but they will still make the retired drinks or anything else. Nice date night restaurant. We ate outside on one of the coldest nights of the year. We were assured at the time we made our reservation, that it would be warm under a heater. Our table had heater, but it didnt help. Luckily, the owner brought over a second toward the end of our meal. We were also given a blanket. The best part of the meal was the cassoulet served with the half chicken. I wish the cassoulet was provided as a dish on its own! You must order the chicken, simply to try the cassoulet! The cocktails (old Cuban and el palomar) were good. We also tried the fresh-baked bread (dont waste your time), korean fried cauliflower (tasty), crispy brussel sprouts (ok), and the mushroom risotto (meh).

This place is very pricey but if you are a foodie and also appreciate a good drink then it is worth the cash. Remember to make reservations if you dont want to sit at the bar, as it is quite small and getting a seat can sometimes be a challenge.

Horrible, horrible experience. Person who has been serving drinks was outrageously aggressive, rude, hateful and on top of that totally drunk himself. I did regret that I did not call the police. He jumped right in front of me, yelled and almost hit me when I asked him one simple question about my reservation. He screamed that he does not care even if I got 3 text messages confirming my reservation. Last reminder I got 1 hour before the dinner. This person is dangerous. He is able to hit women. Instead of dinner, we got slurs and threats. I will report it to any available site.

I love this place, as a gastropub I would highly recommend it for the food. The squid here is awesome as an appetizer and has the perfect flavor and texture. Also the chicken and the salmon are great here as well (the salmon is not over cooked so it still melts in your mouth as you eat it. The drinks are great and the price is not bad, one downside is the size of the place but I consider it quaint. Oh and try the cronuts for desert, they are a perfect dessert.

Very few tables, with plexi walls separating diners from people walking by, their staff completely respectful of space and wearing their masks correctly.The best part: the food is amazing! The cocktails are much needed after nearly four months in isolation. A great evening out without any worries.

I called at 9:45 to ask if they would seat us (closing at 10) the lovely voice on the other end said no problem come over. Our service was next level, Madison was skilled and in touch with the soul of this gem. I told her they could fire all the courses at once since we came so late, instead the patient kitchen flowed the courses with amazing rhythm. We ordered the crispy chicken confit, and Madison suggested trying the cauliflower with Humboldt cheese and bread crumbs. The crispy chicken confit was a wonderful playful version of biscuits and gravy and the cauliflower had amazing textures and bold flavors. For dinner we had the fogline chicken gado gado and the Braised beef with potato puree. The beef came out tender and rich and was welled balanced by the fluffy creaminess of the potatoes. Comfort food next level. The chicken gado gado was a beautiful California presentation with rich sweetness and Asian flavors, a perfect marriage of East meets West. For desert Madison suggested trying the chocolate with torn pieces of banana bread and creamy icing. Wonderful suggestions throughout the night and she never missed dessert was divine as well. We tried 7 different cocktails in the whiskey vain. Madison who is also a bartender was very responsive and helpful we had 3 spirit forward and 3 tart and fruitful and the 7th was the perfect blend of both. My wife and I will be coming back often as the menu changes every 4 weeks. We love Lexington House and Madison.

Try the share dishes in place of the main entrees. Calamari definitely shows the talents of the Chef. Very extensive wine offerings.
