2023-10-28 04:28:41First off this property is beautiful and the staff are amazing. The food at the restaurants is delicious, truly amazing menus. That being said, this high end hotel is next to a PUBLIC golf course where they use a PA system to call tee times starting at 5am. There is not a warning or disclaimer at all on the website, at Check-In or otherwise. In addition to this disturbance, the hotel doesn’t have consideration when breaking down their events and STARTED breaking down a lawn wedding at 1am right outside our window. If you want to spend this amount on a experience, I highly recommend going somewhere else.UPDATE: 5 stars:The hotel manager reached out to me and apologized for our experience at the hotel. Bill took the time to call me personally and follow up via email. He explained the situations that caused our stay to be less than ideal. The golf course is public and not apart of the hotel but he did mention that he talked to the pro shop about moving the PA system away from blaring at sunrise into the guest rooms at his hotel. Hopefully that happens, for the hotels sake. The event staff were a third party and actually not supposed to be there after 10pm, the hotel has had to deal with their vendor. It is my understanding that it is their policy to have events all wrapped up by 10pm. As I mentioned, we enjoyed the property, restaurants, views, beautiful rooms and accommodating staff. We look forward to visiting again and appreciate Bills hospitality.

2023-11-21 22:20:55Booked a room as a last minute get out of town for break trip. Stayed 4 days. From Nikki at the front desk (her fabulous recommendations), to Colin and Nick at the bar (both had great personalities and made killer lemon drops), it was well above 5 star service. We had room service breakfast everyday. The food was hot, it was good, and they delivered right on time if not 5 min early. Housekeeping staff made sure we didnt want for anything. Valet had my vehicle ready everyday I needed it by the time I got from my room out the front door. Fantastic and will see you next year!

2023-09-24 17:22:58Upon arrival at The Lodge Torrey Pines, the Scottish Kilted doorman and traditionally dressed bellhop transport you to a bygone era, setting the tone for a unique stay. The hotels California Craftsman architecture, complete with post-and-beam construction and Arts & Crafts style, offers a nostalgic retreat. With its elevated ocean views overlooking the golf course and a prime central location, this property is truly exceptional. A visit here promises a blend of luxury, history, and scenic beauty. Highly recommend for a timeless getaway! ⛳🌊🌟

2023-12-10 06:40:30My home away from home. I always love the care taken here not only in the craftsman style furnishings and ambience but also in the human attention to detail. The Torrey Pines add their essence with the scent of the ocean and their lumbering, ungainly presence, giving the place a certain elfin quality.

2023-09-20 17:46:32The location and view are great as you would expect, but its the staff and the unpretentious old school vibe which surprises and makes this hotel special. No need to be playing golf to stay and enjoy this great property. A+ to the management, staff, and all the effort it takes to make that happen. Rooms are slightly dated stylistically, but everything is clean. Family friendly, great pool cocktails.

2023-07-14 14:37:25The Lodge at Torrey Pines was a really nice stay. Unfortunately its as pretty crowded because of a Junior Golf Tournament, but I did find the service to be excellent. The rooms are a tad dated but still super comfortable. Room service was great and the grounds are beautiful. It is a great location too. The property is a bit spread out which might bother people who dont like going from one end of the property to another for restaurants, but I didnt mind it. Sunset was gorgeous. Food at the grill was less than stellar but I didnt get to try the nicer restaurant up top yet. Next time. I recommend this hotel!

2023-07-19 00:07:06The lodge was in a great location and the views of the course are wonderful! The services provided definitely give off an old school hotel etiquette. The parking garage doesnt require your key (which I found a little weird given its for staff and clientele only). The horror movie vibe was definitely there. Semi dated all around, but the amenities made up for some of the datedOverall a really great hotel for that older crowd, just maybe not for me again. Great nonetheless!

2023-11-26 21:33:17Restaurant was ok. Some hits, mostly misses for the special Thanksgiving dinner. Great service though! You will probably appreciate this place more if you enjoy golf and that general scene.

2023-11-07 08:28:01- Frustrating restaurant experience / Hotel was average -The best thing we did at this hotel on my birthday was to sleep. The first room we received had lock and window issues. The staff was quick to arrange another room for us. That part I appreciated.Once we got to the bar by the pool, we were told the bar was closed as if unwelcomed. We then headed to the bar of the restaurant, but none of the staff came to us or asked us anything. After a while, frustrated, we were left to search for food and drinks outside of the hotel area at an hour most restaurants around had closed.Note to self: Shall you need to stay at the same hotel, it is best to get food and beverage at UC San Diego before checking in.

2023-11-02 20:05:52One of the best hotels Ive ever stayed. The hospitality, the service, the room, the food, and the gorgerous view. The front desk and concierge were warm and friendly. The driver was very knowledgeable and funny, the food in A.R. Valentien were so good, and the service was professional. The trail tour was fun and I learned a lot from the sweet tour guy. Every places were super clean, the gym, the swimming pool, the rest area are all spotless. The sunset view was just gorgerous! Highly recommanded
