2023-08-08 10:04:46This is now my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Bay Area! Their raw crab is so delicious I wanted to cry. It was so good that I just had it 2 weeks ago and had to go again, despite the hefty price tag. All food had amazing quality and freshness. Food presentation was also lovely. 3 of us had all the food in the photo and it came up to $250 after tax and tips which is not bad at all. Highly recommended for everyone who wants to have some good real chinese food. Will definitely go again!

2023-09-20 05:41:52In the realm of gastronomy, true connoisseurs recognize that it’s not just about tantalizing the taste buds, but alsoembracing a lifestyle. Today’s special chef dishes, be it the nuanced Oil Crisped Matsutake or the rich Pan-Sealed Cod, reflect the chef’s deep reverence for ingredients and the artistry of cooking. I’m really impressed! The restaurant has an extensive list of wine and the owner’s wine pairing brought all the flavor of food to its climax!

2023-01-09 03:19:54The servers go out of their way to assist. Constantly refilling our waters (orange infused). The servings are family portions so price is actually fair. They have tasty Yelping…Chicken. Green beans chicken (needed a little bit more salt but still very delicious) also love the dessert soup. The place looks clean and they clean the benches also. They have great alcohol choices as well. We will continue coming here for the excellent food and service!

2022-12-17 22:10:07Came here as part of a team outing of 40+ people which was accommodated with 4 large tables on the second floor. Delicious multi-course meal with a variety of dishes. Some of the standout dishes include the stir-fried eggplant, whole steamed fish, rib soup, black pepper beef. The owner also personally came by to trial out a very special dish made with egg whites and fresh slices of black truffle and egg yolks with iberico ham which was a very unique fusion of French techniques with traditional Chinese inspiration.

2023-04-22 22:12:35I celebrated my birthday at the Mandarin and had delicious black pepper beef, spicy boiled fish, garlic pea shoots, and egg drop soup. Fantastic meal! The service was great and Guy gave us a complimentary dessert.

2022-03-19 22:08:50This was a phenomenally disappointing meal. The beef was extremely spicy and salty, the scallion pancake was bland and salt less, the mushrooms and bok choy were salty and tasted like msg, and the yam dessert tasted like crunchy fried water. None of the dishes made me want to eat more or take home leftovers, and everything was incredibly overpriced. For a lunch that’s fifty dollars per person, it should be way better than this. The service was slow, and the waitstaff not particularly friendly. I will actively avoid eating here in the future and feel like my experience here made my day worse. I don’t know how such mediocrity stays in business in such an expensive area.

2022-07-14 04:47:49Came here the first time to celebrate my friend’s birthday. The dishes were flavorful. Ordered the chicken with snow peas and vegetables and prawns with mixed vegetables. Low carb today. Vegetables chicken and shrimp were very fresh, vegetables were very fresh and crisp. The thing about Excellent Chinese food is the high heat in the wok. Growing up with good Chinese food this place definitely hit the mark. Service was fantastic. Our dishes were ordered up and served quickly and the staff was extremely friendly. It’s got a very nice bar to meet up with friends at after work. There is a parking plaza behind the building. Great place to catch dinner before your concert show at the Guild Theater across the street.

2023-08-28 20:14:50This establishment is nothing short of exceptional. The value you receive certainly justifies the price point; you’re in for a truly indulgent experience. The Dan Dan Mian offers a sublime balance of flavors, while the rib corn soup is a comforting culinary delight. The braised tofu, on the other hand, is an absolute masterpiece that shouldn’t be missed. Don’t second-guess—treat yourself to an unforgettable dining experience here!

2021-06-21 02:34:22Today, my family and I decided to celebrate Fathers Day by going to this restaurant. We really wanted to try this restaurant out, so today was the day! After a long time of deciding, we decided to try out Mouth-Watering Chicken, and the Heart-Broken Noodles for appetizers. For our main-course, we chose General Taos Chicken, Sichuan Style Beef Noodles, Boiled Beef Sichuan Style, and Golden Crab. Lastly, for dessert, we tried out the Sweet Osmanthus Fermented Rice Sweet Dumplings. For my father, he really enjoyed Live Golden Crab, my mom enjoyed the Heart-Broken Noodles, and for my brother and I, we enjoyed the Mouth-watering Chicken and the Sweet Osmanthus Fermented Rice Sweet Dumplings. The service in The Mandarin is amazing. The server we had was very nice, and humorous. He also gave us a lot of recommendations! The restaurant is very clean and grand, it makes us feel very comfortable. My dad said that this was the best meal hed ever had for Fathers Day because the food reminded him of his hometown.
