2024-04-19 04:09:31Excellent first dinner here tonight. Shared the Roasted beet soup, Asparagus & smoked black cod, sourdough pasta with braised pork and snap peas, and the Fogline farms chicken sausage with greens and more. Every dish was beautifully plated and the flavors were combined so thoughtfully. Service was friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to come back soon. I love that the menu changes frequently with seasonal ingredients.

2024-02-04 00:59:54We enjoyed our experience so much! After a few years of enjoying their food at the farmers market, it was nice to go to their permanent brick and mortar location. We had the Lemon Poppyseed Pancakes... which never disappoints; theyre light, yet have a delicate little crispy crunch around the edges. perfectly balanced with a cream fresh and rhubarb topping, we also devoured the Fogline Farm Chicken Chili Rojo, with a fabulous cornbread and cabbage... The chocolate banana peanut butter cake was moist, not overly sweet with a surprising creamy peanut butter finish- paired nicely with my black coffee. While its a smaller restaurant, it didnt feel small, great use of space and an abundance of natural light made it feel open and airy. The service was impeccable. The menu changes so when you go, it might not be what we had, that being said we have never been dissatisfied with their food. ENJOY!

2024-02-07 16:49:53Our brunch experience last weekend was fabulous. We chose 3 dishes to try this time. It’s always hard to decide! The pancakes are always delicious, light and fluffy. The kale and chanterelle bread pudding is amazing. It has a moist center, crisp exterior and the celery root remoulade is the perfect accompaniment. Finally, the Fogline Farm chicken stew with jalapeño cornbread has just the right kick and is warming, filling and delicious. The service is friendly and welcoming and the coffee is hot and brewed to perfection. We can’t wait to return and try the next menu as it changes to reflect what’s fresh and local!!

2024-02-05 18:13:39Fresh food is the star of the show here. The Midway offered up a limited yet seasonal and largely vegetarian brunch menu during our visit. We started with a potato, spinach, and cheese galette (room temp). We shared the tasty lemon pancakes topped with rhubarb and crème fraiche (I had to ask for a side of syrup) and the kale bread pudding which was more like a frittata. Both excellent dishes not too filling. The space is small so expect to wait during peak times. For only being open a month, I would say the vast majority of new restaurant kinks are ironed out.

2024-06-15 03:11:02We shared a little gem salad, and each had the grilled bavette steak, which was a beautifully grilled piece of tender flank steak sitting on an onion-fennel puree, with a padron Chile salsa Verde and roasted potatoes... Each week the menu is completely different based on whats fresh and interesting...

2024-05-10 21:20:40Brilliantly designed menus; so intentional, perfectly local and seasonal. The cooking is outstanding, as is the service. Light, bright, open and spacious - all while being cozy too, The Midway is a super comfortable. I’m really discerning and this delightful restaurant discovery quickly became my new favorite!

2024-03-26 20:55:52Decided to check out The Midway with two of my friends after hearing plenty of good things about the place. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful, a real blend of small town diner and classy restaurant flair that made it SO apparent that whoever designed the place knew what they were doing and really cared about creating a wonderful atmosphere. The service was spectacular, quick, and incredibly polite and we barely had to wait for our food. I got the braised pork shoulder which tasted divine, my friends got the pancakes and the housemade yogurt. The pancakes were delightful and the housemade yogurt was genuinely the best yogurt Id ever tried- I didnt realize something as simple as yogurt could taste so good (especially with the homemade jam). Was a bit pricey for three broke college students to afford (definitely a splurge meal for us), but the food was worth the money 100% so I dont regret it. My only complaint is that the place has relatively limited hours which is a shame, but from what I can tell the place is pretty new so the limited hours make sense. Highly recommend going if you want some homemade, high quality food where you can tell the restaurant owner and the staff really care about making good stuff.

2024-01-07 18:08:37The Midway is our new go-to breakfast in Midtown! It was busy just minutes after opening, and for good reason. We got the maple-yogurt pancakes with poached apples and the biscuits and gravy with fresh herbs and an added egg. Both dishes were fantastic, the gravy was so savory but was lighted up by the fresh herbs. Paired with coffee and minty tea it was a perfect breakfast for a cold morning! The tahini chocolate chip cookie was also delicious, crispy on the edges and chewy in the middle. Can’t wait to go back!

2024-04-05 05:03:33An excellent farm to table dining experience. The chef creates the menu weekly based on the local produce available at the farmers market. Was truly wowed by each bite!
