If you want pancakes this place rocks! Very fluffy and delicious! Really good. I asked for a veggie omelette and sent it back. The veggies were all hard and it wasn’t not an omelette, more of a egg pancake with raw veggies inside. I sent it back and asked for two eggs scrambled with cheese on top. I got eggs runny Sunny side up with cheese. I gave up. But I would definitely come back for pancakes!

I wish this franchise would come back to Florida. If you are in the mood for unique and creative pancakes, nobody does it better than The Original Pancake house. From apple and cinnamon pancake to the Dutch baby Pancake. From German pancakes to amazing omelets. YUM!

Walked in on a Saturday morning around 10:45am and were immediately seated without any waiting. Restaurant was packed too! Our waitress was on it, as were the myriad of waitresses working there. This restaurant is managed and run like a finely tuned machine! OUTSTANDING!!!Food came to our table in a timely manner and was awesome! Oh my gosh.... were sooooooo full!

The food was fine, and the service was good.I gave it one star because! There were people cleaning chairs and windows with gloves on, using rags with cleaning solution on it. They put the rag down and handled customers drinks glasses without removing gloves that had dirt and cleaning solution on them. Who knows what type of cross-contamination happened.This is a great way to get people sick.I did not drink from these glasses, pushed them to the side.Management needs to fix this. Take a serve safe class.

Came here for first time since we are on vacation . They have adequate amount of staff and everyone is fast paced . The place was full and we were still sat down quickly and served quickly . Portions are huge ! . Everything was delicious.. would recommend. 🙃

People are always friendly and happy. Service is just right not too fast that you feel rushed and not so slow that you feel forgotten. Just try not to sit near the back wall near the bathroom. Not a pretty sight.

I had the German pancake and home fries and both were really tasty. The reason I put this at 3 stars is because I was told the home fries are cooked without peanut oil but they aren’t. Ended up having an allergic reaction. Fortunately my allergy isn’t life threatening but if you have a moderate to severe peanut allergy I wouldn’t recommend eating here.

This place has been around for years and is extremely busy so plan accordingly. They have a very extensive menu but it is their legendary Apple and also German pancakes that keep people coming back for more. Youve simply got to try one! They have a really nice mushroom omelet that works for diabetics as well.

Unique pancakes and waffles. Perfect over easy eggs with yummy runny yolk. Great coffee. Hot chocolate comes with 4 inch whipped cream on top. Closes early, 1pm daily.

Food is delicious! The service was friendly but slow. I was seated for 10+ minutes after receiving my check and no one came to get it, and I had to stand up and search for someone to help me pay my bill. I almost thought about walking out just because I wanted to leave and no one was paying attention.I know theyre likely short-staffed, but if I come back again and experience the same waits as my first visit, Im writing off this location. It is incredibly important to be able to serve everyone in a timely manner.

Delicious food, great prices, great staff. Owner is super accommodating and friendly. Husband ordered Western omelette which came with pancakes, we got the sourdough ones, which were absolutely amazing. Also ordered an apple pancake which was huge, maybe 10 that was perfect. Have to say, as a carnivore, the highlight of my meal was the bacon. Super thick cut, cooked perfectly, and so so flavorful. Will definitely be returning again and again. Cant recommend this kids breakfast spot enough.

I finally made it to the new location which is very close to home. The German pancake with a side of bacon was delicious. I didn’t think I would use the lemon and powdered sugar that’s served on the side but it goes well with it.

Never a disappointment, never leave hungry. Its breakfast done right. Although the menu doesnt reflect it, they can do a half stack of your favorite pancakes. And they have the BEST bacon, thick sliced. Service is GREAT, everyone works as a team, someone always has a pot of coffee giving refills.

Very crowded due to Mothers Day and the limited seating requirements. There isnt a better breakfast selection anywhere like TOPH. The pancake selection is just amazing. The staff here is extremely professional and efficient. Some of the wait staff have been here forever. Today I ordered scrambled eggs with diced ham and for my 3 pancakes I had sourdough. The portion size is more than enough (seemed like 4 eggs) and the sourdough pancakes were large. The eggs werent over cooked and the sourdough pancakes have a strong yummy sourdough flavor. The butter comes soft and the syrup hot. My mom ordered an apple pancake and it was HUGE and about an inch thick full of apples. I just cant say enough about the quality, options and portion size. This is a great place for breakfast. Oh, the coffee is good and they offer flavored cream.

Dont touch items on this table...signs on doors...dont go here....dont do that. Like....relax. its a restaurant not a bank. Oh and the prices....ENTIRELY too high. $4 sodas?? Reallllllly?

If you like breakfast, this is a must. Pancakes & Omelets are fantastic. If you are with a group, you need to order the Apple Pancakes when you first talk to the server (takes 15-20 minutes to cook) and is big enough share as a side with 6-8 people.

We had a party of 6 adults and 5 kids. We waited outside the waiting area and were told the wait would be 20min. At the 30min point they said any minute now. Which we thought was understandable since we had a large party. Now 45mins after we were told if they could split our group into two tables. We said sure since the kids were now starving and grumpy anything to sit us down!!! ONE HOUR LATER WE ASK THE 5th TIME what is taking so long??? They were getting the table ready. Was ridiculous. We were then told we had to rush and order because they closed at 1pm so they had to put our orders in. We thankfully had a good waitress and the Manager took a percentage off the bill but for the Manager not to come out after asking 5 times was unprofessional. We didnt even have time to chat with family we hardly see. The crapes were delicious but not worth an hour wait with 5 hungry kids. They do not take reservations.

Love me some yummy pancakes to start my weekend. Visited Saturday 7.24 before the rush of guests arrived making my walk in wait only 20mins. The banana pancakes were delicious. Service was quick and waitress was pleasant. Yelp waitlist has been a hit and miss as of late.

Good food, excellent service, and gigantic portions. The Apple pancake is a sugar rush of a treat--couldnt finish the whole thing! In fact, it could prob feed two people--if you were willing to share, that is. It does take a little bit of time (menu warns you it might take 20 minutes), but its worth it (might be too sweet for some people though).Recommend going before 8am. Got there at just a little over 8 and managed to snag a table for four--but it filled up quickly afterwards.

The Good:Biscuit and gravy is good. They really smother the biscuit with gravy.Corn pancakes are surprisingly delicious. Makes their buttermilk tastes plain. (This goes for all Original Pancake Houses)The Bad:Coffee was burnt. They replaced my coffee with another more burnt tasting batch. Could be wrong though. Maybe they use the cheapest, flavorless coffee beans.Bacon was so burnt it lost its color and was left with a weird orange tint with lots of black.My corn beef hash was very undercooked and was cheap tasting. Ive never had a worse corn beef hash.Ill stick to the Original Pancake House on Lincoln instead. Definitely the better one since none of these problems occurred there.

The location in anaheim is old school, its been there a long time and had a feeling of nostalgia. Clean place with excellent service. The one in Placentia is newer and doesnt have much of an ambience, but still clean and very good service. I love the omelets here! Fluffy and tasty. I got the senior/child breakfast of 3 pancakes and an egg. Still had leftovers. My friend ordered a side of bacon. Delicious!! A thicker cut, smoky and cooked to perfection! This was some of the best bacon Ive ever had. I recommend this restaurant.

Was there today, Monday 1/27/2020. Terrible Blueberry pancakes, soggy, no texture, no character at all. Also ordered some Idaho potato pancakes, so disgusting! It seemed that they used the grease coming off their fried bacon to fry the pancakes, the odor of the lard from the bacon was so overwhelmingly repellent and disgusting! Coffee also tasted so bad, came with a charcoal like smell. The worst pancakes Ive ever eaten so far. What an unexpected disappointment!I just dont know why this joint is so popular. Guess the majority Americans dont know what good pancakes really should be. Worst eating experience in a long time. Wont go back. Not recommended.

Love this place, just wish it was priced a little more reasonably as we typically have a bill of $35-40 for a party of two. LOVE the 49er flapjacks, but as with almost all of the specialty pancakes the order is for pancakes alone (no combos). I dont mind paying up fir good food, but lets face it this is breakfast and not a Filet Mignon dinner.

My third aunt knew that I loved pancakes. My cousin and I took me to this restaurant for breakfast early in the morning. Only traditional American breakfast food is available here, and it closes at 2 p.m. There were so many pancake choices here that it was difficult for me, so I also ordered traditional pancake and mushroom pancake without cheese in the morning. I like cheese, but I absolutely hate eating anything with cheese. My third aunt knew that I loved bacon, so she ordered more crispy and salty bacon for me. An Lie has a strong egg flavor and a milky flavor, but the portion is really too much. Plus the heavy egg flavor of the pancake made me want it more, and I finally left with satisfaction. When I was dining, I saw that the food at the next table was very attractive, and I wanted to stay here for more days next time to try other foods.My aunt knew that I love pancakes, so she brought me to this restaurant for breakfast with my cousin. They only serve traditional American breakfast food and close at 2pm. The selection of pancakes here was so vast that I found it difficult to choose, so I ended up ordering the traditional pancakes and the mushroom omelette without cheese. I love cheese, but I absolutely hate it when its added to food that shouldnt have it. My aunt also knew that I love bacon, so she ordered extra crispy and salty bacon for me. The omelette had a strong egg and milk flavor, but the portion was really too much. Together with the heavy egg flavor of the pancakes, I couldnt resist and ate until I was completely satisfied before leaving. I saw the neighboring tables food and it looked very tempting, so I think Ill stay here for a few more days next time to try other foods.

Cleanliness & Hygiene 👌Drinks & Food 👍Service 👍Interior 👌Price 👍I often went to the branch in New Jersey to eat pancakes, but I never thought I would welcome the Original Pancake House here 🥳More than anything, it was nice to be able to eat Pancake for breakfast after coming from New York.The interior was a bit disappointing, but the staff were cheerful and took good care of me.
