One of my favorite local spots! I always enjoy my experience. Food is great, fairly priced, and staff is very friendly, kind, and helpful. I often smell the beer battered fries from a distance and it instantly makes my mouth water. Highly recommend!

I have been coming here for quite awhile even when it used to be Deli Delicious. I have to say the food is consistently always just as good and the service seems to always get friendlier and better if thats even possible.I went in late evening i think they were about to close and the ladies working were friendly and helpful and did not get pissed because I was there before closing. I appreciate the prompt service and upholding such high standards in service and quality.

Normally the Pickled Deli is the best sandwich and salad place in town. Unfortunately the last two times I have ordered large salads I was given small ones. The salads were skimpy and only had tomato and pickles on it. For the price thats extremely disappointing.

I could not believe how I did not know about the pickled deli. I ordered the turkeys sub sandwich on double crunch bread. They made it and add it all the toppings that I asked for. The mixture of mayonnaise, salt, pepper, the vinegar and oil. Everything was perfect. Perfect harmony so good. I went back the next day. I would highly rate this deli. Im just sorry I never knew of it before. 😊💯👍

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!! My wife and I came here and had an amazing experience… the customer service was excellent! We ordered Philly cheesecakes and we absolutely loved it. Going back for another one ASAP lol!! The owner was also super nice and friendly. We really enjoyed meeting & getting to know him! I highly recommend going here if you’re wanting a really good sandwich. Hands down the best we’ve had.

I got the cold deli sandwich w/ turkey, avocado, sprouts & cream cheese. The ingredients were fresh & overall a good sandwich. I got curly fries with my order, but also tried the beer battered fries..they were probably the winner out of my meal...very good flavor!

WOW. I honestly never thought I’d find a sandwich place that beats Save mart’s, deli delicious, or port of subs, but we found it!! Exceptional service and attention to detail. I was bummed I forgot to ask for salt, pepper, oil, and vinegar (who does that) but even without those, I was blown away haha! Can’t wAit to go back!

Came here for the first time with a friend and it was such a nice experience. Nick was so nice and friendly as soon as we walked in. I would have came back just for the friendly atmosphere but the sandwich was also delicious. I really enjoyed the sandwich and could tell it was healthy fresh ingredients. This is always our pit stop to get our sandwich fixed whenever we’re in Visalia. The sandwiches are fresh always and made it to perfection. If you are a pickle lover their fried pickles are to die for. We definitely inhaled ours the moment we got in the car. Customer service is always friendly and helpful especially if your new customer. The pickled deli was so good🥒😍 The staff was friendly and understood our complicated order and even split our large sandwich into two, separate containers! The works on a sandwich is what makes it!🥪 The battered onion rings were probably the best though, perfectly fried and not to much batter and grease!🤤 The owner is really nice and passionate about his food and business, I would highly recommend supporting this local owned eatery and placing your Togo orders here👌

Clarifying earlier review...Truthfully, the saving grace for this reveiw was the staff. They were sweet and friendly. I was misinformed by the person who paid. $11 was her estimation and included a drink. It was in fact $7.50. As a result...I got what I paid for. The salad was fresh, crisp, and tasty. The chicken was moist and full flavored. Since I have a number of dietary issues related to my celiacs, I appreciate GF options at delis, and this is a great one. I LOVE pickles, and these were brickle and bursting with flavor. The dressing was higher quality than the average commercial ranch many restaurants use. I appreciate the owner reaching out about the experience so that I could amend my review and double check the info. We will definitely be giving these guys another go when Im in full control of the order.

I came here for lunch and it was super yummy!The “mini” size is a really decent sized sandwich. I chose the BLT and they give you sooo much bacon. First time at The Pickled Deli.Craig made my sandwich and it was perfection! The sourdough was so fresh and warm unlike most other chain sandwich shops which I’ve experienced dry and hard to chew sourdough.Customer service, Molly, was lovely and helped me through the familiar menu.The 4 inch mini sub was the perfect size for me and they pile it high with meat and toppings.I will not dock stars in hopes management sees this review and fixes one issue I had with store cleanliness . They register area was filthy and the credit card machine was scary to touch. Ewe! Please clean these surfaces that your patrons frequent! First impression matter.Thank you Pickled Deli for a yummy lunch!

I love this place. Now Im not just saying it because I love pickles but because I genuinely love this place. I have been eating here since it opened (when I can) and I have always had the best subs here. The bread is always thick and soft, they never skimp on the meat or even the mayo and mustard. AND if I ask for extra extra pickles you better be sure there will be extra extra pickles in between my bread slabs! I have always been asked if Id like to add anything like a cookie or chips to my order, and I know that having to ask that all the time has got to be tiring on the mind but I have yet to witness any employee look anything but happy and excited to say hello even if only for a moment.

We love the Pickled Deli! We come here about once a week. The bread is always fresh and every sandwich comes with a lot of meat. All the fries are BOMB!! And the service is excellent. Decided to take my 2 year old out on a lunch date, and SO GLAD I ended up at the Pickled Deli!!! AMAZING customer service- from special order requests to accommodate my little one, to very warm, happy, personable attitudes from every employee in the shop, I immediately felt so comfortable here. The sandwiches were fantastic- fresh, quality ingredients, and our food was ready SUPER quick. Also noticed that every food delivery person that walked in to pick up an order was immediately acknowledged, offered water while they wait and treated with kindness and respect. Makes you happy to see people just being GOOD PEOPLE! On top of it all, they sell Dana’s cookies which I used to LOVE when I lived in Tulare. Love that this owner supports other local businesses!! Were on a road trip and like to try local eateries rather than chains. We found the Pickled Deli on maps and so glad we did! The employee at the register was so nice and patient as I asked a bunch of questions. Both sandwiches were above par, way way better than a chain. Everything was fresh and tasted fantastic! Can’t say enough great things about this place! We got a catered tray of sandwiches and salad along with 3 orders of fried pickles. The servings were VERY generous! The food was fresh and delicious! Never had fried pickles before. I’ve found a new favorite! Unlike fries that tend to get soggy when they get cold, the pickles were hot and crispy!! Even when the cooled down they stayed crispy which I loved! The staff was super friendly and really made us feel like they appreciated our business! Definitely recommend this place!

I haven’t been here since it was changed to pickle deli but I will be coming a lot more now! Was passing through Visalia, stopped to get food at Panda Express when I seen the pickled deli and had to try it, love pickles so thought why not. Lol. The owner is a sweet guy! I have always admired owners who actually go into their businesses, work and connect with their customers. My husband and I popped in for a quick lunch and immediately felt the love as the owner (we did not get his name and I wish I had) and his staff welcomed us. While ordering Mr. owner let us know that he brought back the original French fries Deli D used to serve, which in my opinion were some of the best beer battered fries I’ve ever had. On top of that, while waiting for our meals, he offered us a sample of his fried pickles, which were so delicious that they did not even need any sauce on the side and of course, we went back later to get an order for mom to try. For lunch I had the #5 vegetarian sandwich on wheat. The bread was nicely toasted and the veggies had a nice fresh taste to them, it paired well with the cream cheese and sprouts. My husband had the #1 Turkey sandwich and he says he loved the fact that it was not only tasty but the presentation was nice as well. When we returned later that day, the staff recognized us (even with our masks) and offered us a sample of their soup. I had the tomato basil soup and my husband had the chicken enchilada soup. The tomato basil was so creamy and full of flavor, i cannot wait to go back and eat a bowl with a sandwich! My husband said the chicken enchilada soup was creamy as well and didn’t taste like any he’s had before, both soups are perfect for a cold rainy day in Visalia! Overall, we really appreciate the team there and the food and will definitely be returning. I hope this review is helpful to those curious about Pickled Deli (used to be known as Deli D) on Mooney Blvd. and I truly hope you stop by for some fried pickles! They are the yummiest! First time at this restaurant. I was greeted right away. I was shocked that the actual owner was serving. Wow great dedication. I ordered the vegetarian sub and fries and it was all delicious. He made the ordering seamless and explained all my options. The food was great as well as the service. I definitely recommend but note if going for lunch you should order ahead of time. Went today to try out The Pickled Deli since I heard they sold fried pickles. These pickles were absolutely delicious. They were crispy, and juicy. I chose the build your own sandwich and wow this sandwich was filled with a lot of meat. We were also lucky to meet the owner. He was the sweetest. We have both never been there before and his mom has been RAVING about the fried pickles! being a Jew vegetarian and fried pickle lover myself I decided to see what they had to offer. I didnt order anything else besides a 6 ($7 +tax), so I cant say anything regarding their fries, fried pickles, and other sides (which I think are pretty cool those are available). The sandwhich was pretty well-stuffed with meat, and they offer wrap options too. It was kinda hard eating my food though since they gave me mustard instead of mayo. The staff, especially the girl on register, where quite welcoming. Overall, Im giving it a 4 because it seems like a quality establishment, just not my first pick.

As a treat to myself I come here. Staff is very friendly even during their rush hours. Which great deli isn’t packed with hungry customers? I believe If it ain’t packed then most likely it’s not a great place to eat at in the first place! During lunch time it’s usually packed but you can always plan ahead and order by phone before you walk in. I have seen and heard about the positive and the great amount of social impact the Pickled D has done and continues to do for our community. My 11 yr old granddaughter suggested Pickeled Deli, and I already had it in mind, so nice to know she’s a fan as well. She loved her turkey and cheese and veggie sandwich and mine on Dutch Crunch was wonderful. When we want a sandwich this is the ONLY place we go. It’s a little pricier than a greasy burger that will leave you with regrets and sadness, so definitely worth it in my opinion. As far as sandwiches go, this is the only place to order from. It’s also nice to get real avocado on my sandwich rather than an avocado spread.Nick, the owner, was at the register while I was waiting for our food to be made. Even though he was on the phone regarding a technical issue with something in the shop, he took the time to get to know myself and my family as customers.
