The Plot in Oceanside

The food is the best plant based food I’ve ever had. I didn’t feel like I was missing a thing. They have a garden and everything is fresh. The service was amazing from beginning to end. I was debating on two dishes and the server said they can make me a small portion to try. The one brought out was the biscuits and gravy. After she found out that we drove so far, the chef sent out the full size version and it did not disappoint! I will now order it every time I go. I can’t wait for the Costa Mesa location to open.

The Plot is so unique in that their entire menu is plant based. Everything that you order will be derived from a plant one way or another. It’s absolutely delicious. I love to eat meat and was hesitant to try this place out, but I was pleasantly surprised. I’ve happily eaten here several times since and love to bring my vegan friends here as well.

Really cute place in a great location. It was so hard to choose what to get, everything looked amazing. We ended with the carrot fish tacos.(they came with a kale stem salsa/salad) and the beet Reuben sandwich (this came with a potato salad, really nice fresh fennel flavor). They have iced tea options, beers on tap and indoor or outdoor seating in their garden. Great little fire pits for chilly evenings.

Wow! This place is awesome 👌All vegan and they pick the veggies theyre going to make your food with right in front of you! There is an outside garden where you also eat. Wonderful Ambience, super cute restaurant. We went there for my brothers Memorial and they kept bringing us free appetizers... super nice people. The best appetizer was the biscuits and gravy I highly suggest, and Im not a vegan and do not usually like vegan food, but I loved it!

This place is insanely impressive! The menu is fully plant based without any super processed fake meats, made with fresh, local ingredients. It was so fun to be able to walk around their gardens and enjoy a beautiful brunch. The whole staff is incredibly kind and welcoming.The chicken and waffles was the standout dish, but I’m excited to go back and try other menu items.The only thing I would add is that the food is overall on the salty side, so beware if you are sensitive to salt!

OH MY GAWD. The only comparable vegan place I’ve ever eaten is Vedge, in Philadelphia. I never thought I’d find something nearly as amazing. This is it, with a little more of a comfort food flare. Also it has a great balance of nut-free, soy-free, and gluten-free options. The sauces are savory, complex, and filling. We had the biscuits and gravy, meatless-loaf, potato cakes with caviar, grilled cabbage, and sushi. I definitely recommend the biscuits and gravy (with sausage) and the potato cakes. You definitely don’t need to be vegan to appreciate. This chef is very talented. Delicious!

Everything was delicious and the customer service was amazing. Stopped here on a trip in California and was glad we did. The atmosphere was relaxing. Definitely will remember this place if ever in the area again.

My Mom, sister are both vegan so I’ve been around lots of vegan food for the past decade or so. The Plot is definitely one of the greats. Been there for dinner and brunch service, both were good but I liked the brunch a lot. I had the burger as a wrap and loved it. My wife got the granola bowl which was very pretty. Good selection of beers as well.

One of the best place for vegan in ocean side area for me. The starters were amazing. We ordered potato fries, cauliflower starter, caviar starter and entrees we tasted risotto, fried sushi, crispy sushi, chicken waffles, mashed potatoes. In starters the fries was the most delicious dish we tasted and ordered more. Entrees was not as tastier as starters but crispy sushi was my favorite among all. Apart from that we got masala tea and lemon and lavender soda, both were good and refreshing. Overall I would suggest this place for people who want to try different food or vegan style food. I will be back if I’m here for fries.

I cant even adequately put to words how amazing this place is... the food is so flavorful, the staff awesome, and the zero waste concept! 🤌 Just go... and dont leave without a piece of the plot cake!
