Got a takeout for a veg burger today after a long time. I was surprised to not find any red (spicy) sauce in the takeout bag.The food was absolutely tasteless and not having the red sauce just made it worse.I used to love the place when they actually valued customers and put some effort to making the food taste good.Unfortunately never going back again!

The food was good. AND the only reason for 3 stars. The rice was really dry.BUT lot more can be done with the service and cleanliness of the place. The dine in tables were sticky and dirty. We had to buy our own water. Usually restaurant service water without any charge. We had to pay extra for the sauces too.The wait time was really long. The air conditioning was not working on a day when it was 102⁰ F.And for these reasons this place earns a 3.

Went on the grand opening. Ordered the ribs with corn n mayo side.Overall good experience,Ribs 7/10 in terms of taste. Were lacking meat but the owner explained he us trying to find a good source and gave us two extra ribs. Ambience was really good. I loved the cleanliness and the use of the clay plates instead of paper or plastic disposable ones.Im sure my next experience is gonna be much better

I work at King Kong Comics and games and one of the employees dropped off a menu with us. I decided to head over and I was blown away! The spice kicked me in the mouth and is so flavorful! I do recommend the chicken wrap, the hummus, the corn and the cassava fries. Their spice is amazing.

The guy at the counter was dismissive from the start. They charged me for lamb chops and didnt give it to me but still charged me for it. They just crossed it out as if it wasnt ordered even though it was added to the charge. Told him about the issue and he said time a complaint online. Ridiculous.The AC was not on and it was so hot inside.We ordered takeout beforehand but had to eat in cuz we needed to. I asked the guy say the counter and he said you can eat here but you have to clean up your mess when youre done.What kind of answer is that?First and last time going here.

I have been following their opening here in Pleasanton and they opened today(4/2/21). Staff was warm and friendly. Ambience is slick. Ordered takeaway away today. Hot sauce is really hot 🔥🔥🔥. Loved the food. Gonna be regular here.Great option for halaal meat eaters.

Stopped by to pickup a quick dinner and there are a lot of options in the menu. Ordered the chicken & rice bowl and it was ready in 10-15 mins. The grilled peri chicken is soft and tender but definitely under seasoned (for medium spice order). I might go back and give the other dishes a try

Nothing better than Peri Mayo corn!Port of Peri Peri does one of the best grills.Thier chicken is very flavourful.Do not miss this Ribs, cooked to perfection with tender meat.I like ribs more spicy. They have Bbq flavoured ribs also, but its more on the sweeter side.My favorite is the side I mentioned at the top. Peri Mayo corn!I didnt like the Casava fries, they get hard very fast, like in 10mins.

I order from them all the time. This is what I got this time on a pickup of 5 lamb chop pieces for ~$30 !! Wish I ordered on doordash so I could have at least raised a complain. Please dont serve the dish if you are out of meat!!!!Tasted like rubber.

The mild is pretty dang spicy! Got the family platter with the peri peri fries, coleslaw, potato salad, and toasted pita bread. Food was gas and Im so glad Pleasanton has a peri peri chicken restaurant :)

When you buy To Go or order online, they do not give the peri sauce. Even when asked for the sauce, I was told they only serve it for dine in. Used to love this place, but the service is not as good as it was before.

The a/c is broken and its been like this since last yr so it is not possible to dine inThe water machine they have, water taste weird and the cold water is not really coldThe food is okay and the main reason being the chicken is inconsistent, sometimes the size of chicken is so large feels like eating a turkeyI will suggest switch to organic or small size chicken, it makes a ton of difference to the taste and texture

5 stars for the food. Food is delicious. Its spicy but thats the kick you might look for. Sauce is good but salty, but goes great with the sides.2 stars for the dine in experience. The tables are sticky. The floors are sticky. I watched a girl walk around testing where her slippers would stick to the floor and make a smacking sound as she pulled it off the floor. It definitely was not appetizing. They told me where the utensils were but there was only one fork left, and exactly two napkins left. They told me they were washing utensils and said they were going to restock when I asked. I finished my whole meal and nothing was restocked. I saw the staff chatting and looking at their phones instead of cleaning or restocking. I get it, its a tough job but it sure doesnt feel like the place is kept clean and also creates an unpleasant experience for the dine in patrons.3 stars for the value. Its a more expensive than other foods of its kind. Its a walk up and order restaurant but the prices are more significant.I wouldnt recommend dining in here unless you dont mind it being sticky everywhere. Just order to go to try it.

Some of the best customer service around. The whole team really makes an effort to give customers a positive experience. The food is awesome too. Ribs and lamb chops are soft. Their garlic sauce is especially great. And they had water and dates for their customers who came to break fast for Ramadan. Will certainly be returning soon.

If you crave a dry, rubbery chicken baroque for dinner, look no further! Chicken pieces are pre-cooked from god knows how long ago and then grilled to the order, the outside will be always rubbery and inside always dry.

Would have liked more time to check out the menu but we showed up at 8:30 and the guy at the register was not friendly at all. He made the experience so uncomfortable that we rushed to order to first thing we could see and got out of there with our food.We got the chicken and rice bowl. It was decent flavor and the medium was leaning towards hot. The rice is pretty dry so I added one of the red sauces. That definitely kicks the heat up a notch.The desert we ordered was pretty expensive for a tiny little pastry but my wife being Portuguese she wanted to get them. She was unfortunately let down. She actually had to spit it out because it tasted like the cleaning solution the guy had been using to mop the floor.We had been looking forward to trying this place because the wife says piri piri is popular in Portugal. Unfortunate that the first experience was so uncomfortable.

Ordered sunshine box, supposed to come with 6 thighs and 6 chicken tenders. The pick up order had all 12 chicken strips, which I assumed were the tenders. Other than getting the wrong order, the chicken wasnt that impressive, I love me spicy food but this was just mostly heat, no complex flavors, dry chicken and mediocre sides. Im glad I tried it but not something Id eat again.

Went here today on Labor Day today with a group of 15+ the lady taking the order didn’t know what she was doing we called Ahead they said come here and place order.Bathroom didn’t have toilet paper, soap or toilet seat covers.One employee gave me the big commercial toilet paper roll I asked if he can put it in the secure plastic cover he said he doesn’t know his manager is not here.However I managed to do it myself.People wanted refunds because they were waiting for 45+ minutes.To be fair food was good.Just be careful from going on long weekend I guess idk.

Ive been to Nandos so I was familiar with Peri Peri sauce and wasnt disappointed. It definitely can be very spicy if you want. Had the weekend special ribs which were very flavorful. Also tried the lamb and chicken combo platter. If you are sharing with a group like I was remember the sides are designed for 1 maybe 2 people.

Delicious chicken! I selected the lemon herb sauce and it was so nicely balanced and very tasty. My husband ordered the chicken and rice bowl with medium peri peri sauce. We split veggies and cassava/yucca fries with peri peri ranch.There were multiple gluten free options for both of us to choose from. I already want to go back. The only place I know of near Pleasanton/Dublin area you can get yucca fries.The portions were larger than we expected. The food looked so good we ripped into it before I could even take one photo.

My sister was in town and I suggested her this place as I had a good experience last time. She was in the restaurant 20 mins before closing and the person informed her that can only take to-gos and no dine-ins. The person at the register was not friendly so I asked her to take to-go but turns out even after taking to-go the person refused to give peri peri sauce where it was clearly available. If you don’t give peri peri sauce then why do you have that name on the restaurant. If you give peri peri sauce for only dine-ins then allow dine-ins. Not sure why 20 mins is not enough to take the order and serve. Highly disappointed as the chicken was really dry and no extra sauce made it worst. Will not recommend anyone next time.

The Port of Peri Peri brings my wife and I reminiscent enjoyment found when dining at South African chain restaurant Nandos. Very nice flavors and in decent time tables. Weve since eaten here twice and may again. I would recommend to anyone who wants a simple grilled dish filled with flavor. This place is a interesting vibe in regards to its decor but all in all 4 stars for overall cuisine and service.

We treated ourselves to a meal from The Port of Peri Peri’s new location at Pleasanton (they just had their soft-opening this morning) and I’m just over the moon that we have such delicious food in our backyard! The succulent chicken leg/thigh combo with a hearty side of peri fries is exactly what you need to take your meal to the next level. Not to mention, their flame-grilled wings — a perfect balance of juicy and charred — are simply out of this world! The flavors we got for our chicken were a cajun/hot combo as well as a lemon & herb/medium combo, and let me tell you, NEITHER flavor disappointed. I can’t wait to visit again for more, and to have a taste of their famous ribs (which feature on the menu from Friday to Sunday).

As a British ex pat, Ive been craving a Nandos. We found this place and I was skeptical, however it tastes extremely similar to Nandos, way exceeded my expectations! Highly recommend :) Grilled chicken burger, lemon herb wings and peri salted fries were amazing. Shout out to Lewis for great customer service. Great ambience and very clean. Called for a pickup order and told them its a pickup order and I am told to hold (which is fine) and then just hear the person taking other peoples orders for over 10 minutes...customer after customer...So I ordered online while holding and it went through faster than the phone.Now on to the food. We ordered the ribs and half chicken and 12 piece wings and half chicken and wrap and coleslaw and potato salad.They gave us 5 ribs instead of 4 so added points. The ribs are a LOT bigger than expected with quite a bit of meat on them and pretty tender. The chicken is good but not as good as the beef ribs. The chicken is a good size too. They arent tiny wings. The peri sauce us spicy! Im korean and love spicy foods and the medium spiciness had quite a kick. The real star is the garlic yogurt sauce. I had it on everything and it is great as a last dipping to the peri sauce because it kills the heat a bit and is also tasty. The coleslaw is average and the potato salad is better than the coleslaw. Wrap is pretty good and has a lot of chicken inside. The garlic yogurt sauce makes the wrap even better.I would get the beef and wrap again, the chicken was good but not as much as I had hoped.

Do I have to give 1 star?Awful customer service. Be prepared to be insulted by their staff. We went here for dinner on Sunday night and waited in line to order. By the time our turn came to order food the server was impolite to us. We left without ordering any food. It was our first time here and we are not coming back to this location.
