The only halal and Portuguese cuisine in SF Bay Area as far as I know.Quality and taste is pretty consistent since I’ve made many visits to this place now.The sauces are unique and adds good taste.On this visit, I tried All for 1 platter (half chicken + 3 peri wings + rice). Also, I tried Peri brisket burger and peri peri peppers. All of them were great in taste.They also have very good peri peri ribs. I have tried it in previous visits but that’s only available over the weekends.Highly recommend this place.

The store offers quick service. Tried a platter. It came with chicken and a side. The chicken was very tender and juicy. The sauce had a very different taste. Tried the perimayo corn for side. It was good.It was not too crowded. Spent about an hour, catching up with friends. Store is clean and well maintained. Definitely try it out.

Got the meat platter offer with grilled corn and rice on the side. The ribs were slightly overcooked but still tasted decent to me. Now, coming to the peri peri whole chicken, which is my main reason for taking the 2 stars away: I found the chicken to be raw-ish inside, and it also tasted very stale. Not to mention getting slightly sick to the stomach a few hours after eating that (hoping no poisoning).My advice to the kitchen would be to grill the chicken an extra few minutes rather than the ribs because chicken contains salmonella and can not be cooked/baked to medium rare like beef.Overall, Id give it a 3 star, in my honest opinion, but adding a star due to the rarity of halal foreign cuisines in the Bay Area

I ordered the grilled chicken wrap plate with rice, corn, and salad. The chicken wrap was excellent and super flavorful. The corn was creamy and had some kind of red spice on it, but was good. The rice looked good, but was very spicy. I dont care for spicy food and I feel like the cashier shouldve let me know about the spicy rice when I ordered it. Overall, I think Id go back if I were in the area.

This place is truly consistent in quality and taste of their food. Peri Chicken is a much healthier option compared to some other choices around here. And a few of their sides are very good, especially peri corn.This time, they served us something new - peri poppers - which is stuffed jalapeños. Really good. Hopefully they will make it a permanent part of their menu.

It was my first time here but the falafels were the best Ive ever had. Light and crispy! I even bought some to go! The perified corn was so yummy! Others in my party had wings and chicken and it looked great too. The staff didnt seem to clean dirty tables but the tables that were open were clean.

We dined here on Wednesday night for late dinner (around 8:15pm). The restaurant was still quite full and lots of the table were not cleaned. So we ordered at the counter and the cashier immediately cleaned one of the table for us. We ordered the burger & all for one platter. They gave my kid a complimentary apple juice & 2 bottles of water when we asked for water. The food came out pretty fast (about 10 minutes after we ordered).The burger: the chicken was tender and the ciabatta bun was soft. We asked for not spicy at all for my kid but the chicken still had some spice on it. Luckily, the server gave us garlic sauce to mask the spiciness for my kid.All for one platter: comes with 2 piece of chicken thighs, 3 tiny chicken wings & a small bowl of fries. We ordered medium spice for the platter and it was good spiciness for us. The chicken thighs were delicious: tender, can taste the smokiness from the grill. The chicken wings were good, except they were tiny and had few meats on them. The fries were good: crispy and seasoned well (not too salty).Overall, it was a good meal. I will definitely come back to try higher level of spiciness.

Disappointing experience, they refused to serve me even though I was at the counter at 8:40pm, the person said that they close at 9:00pm so they couldn’t serve me at 8:40pm.Also surprisingly their door claims that they are open till 11pm.I suggest that they fix the listings !Saving grace is that the Desi restaurant next door (Shalimar) is amazing!

I got the All for One platter in honor of My Hero Academia and it was really good! Im just realizing as I write this review that I ordered flame-grilled corn on the cob but received perimayo corn instead. No worries, I loved the perimayo corn. The fries here are very well-seasoned. I misunderstood when the employee asked what sauce I wanted for the chicken. I thought the sauce would come on the side so I chose hot sauce, but the sauce was actually slathered over all the chicken and came on the side as well so my chicken was really spicy. I wouldnt have picked hot sauce if I knew the chicken was going to be marinated in it. The All for One platter is perfect if you are really hungry and want some leftovers, or if youre sharing it with another person. I got a strawberry lemonade as a drink and that was good as well, although keep in mind that its bottled, not fresh.

I had their Peri Fried Chicken Burger, and I’ll have to say I was let down. The breading on it wasn’t crunchy at all almost seemed like it wasn’t hand breaded and came frozen. The lettuce on it was also soggy and didn’t give much of a crunch either. The sauce tasted great, however I got hot sauce and it didn’t taste very spicy. Overall I’d say I probably won’t get that sandwich again and I’d suggest getting something else off their menu. My sons chicken wings were good and my wife said her Cajun chicken and rice was good and super spicy as well.

Food is delicious and cooked to order. I chose Mild for the sauce but would personally turn down a notch next time. The cassava fries are the best I have ever had, not soggy, well cooked inside and well dried out of frying oils. On another note, I didnt think it was fair to remove a star because of it so I will just say that itd be real nice to provide wifi connection to your customers. You have a lot of seating space and the atmosphere seems tranquil to get some work done before/while/after dining. Overall great experience. I consider visiting again.

This place reminds me of Nandos chicken. There is no nandos in westcoast. This place has amazing signature peri peri chicken. The sauces are very tasty and mouth watering. Try the hummus with pita. Its really good . Dining is good. Neat place with lot of seating area. Try ordering ahead if you are picking up. There is some wait times. Id def recommend this place for chicken lovers. Its a must go place.

Ordered one of their platters that came with a whole chicken (4 pieces) and 2 sides. I got it with medium sauce, which was pretty spicy! There was a plethora of sides to choose from but the 2 sides I ended up choosing were steamed vegetables and cassava fries.Chicken had a nice char and was tender and juicy! They give a lot of extra sauce on the side, be sure to use it! If you happen to pick a sauce that was a bit too spicy like me, the white garlic sauce helps cool it down and makes it taste better!The sides I chose were decent but the star of the show was the peri salt. The peri salt makes everything amazing - thankfully It was generously spread over the vegetables and cassava fries! The thickness of the fries werent consistent, some were a bit too thick, but nonetheless still good.

Has vegetarian options but I wasnt the biggest fan. I tried the messy fries, paneer rice, veggie burger and the paneer wrap. The veggie burger was pretty good and was my favourite. I used the hot sauce on the paneer rice which was decent but I felt it lacked other flavors apart from the spice (some lemon flavor but thats about it) and couldve used some more sauciness. I found the hot level of spice pretty spicy so you might prefer medium or low spice if you have a lower spice tolerance. I wasnt a fan of the wrap since it lacked sauce. The messy fries were good, barbeque and ranch are added on the top.

We went here on a Saturday evening for dinner around 8 and the place was overflowing with people. After waiting in line for about 15 minutes, we ordered our food and waited yet again for 10 minutes to get our table. Looks like the food was worth waiting for! We ordered the 1/4 Chicken with the Chicken sizzler and a side of Peri-Peri fries. We were told that the spice would be too much and hence we went with mild spice level. The Chicken sizzler was a burger which was good and the fries had a hint of the Peri-Peri spice. The chicken was well cooked and well flavoured.My only gripe is that mild is too mild for me. I expected mild to be somewhat like about 3 lines of the Halal Guys red sauce. But thats not the case. Will visit next time for the medium spice level and see how it matches up to my palate.

Port of Peri Peri is the first Ive seen of a Nandos clone (serving Peri Peri chicken) in the States. The food is great, delicious chicken wraps and potato salad. If I were to rate their food alone I would give them a 4/5.Unfortunately the service was a bit lacking. I went when there were only 2 other parties present, in other words it was not busy at all. Yet they still got my order incorrect the first time around. Docking 1 star.Then, while my family was eating, someone comes over and reaches across the entire table to refill the silverware box with forks and knives. It was not busy, you should not reach across the table where your patrons are eating to do something you could have waited for. I could easily dock 2 or 3 stars for this. The only saving grace is that the food was good.If they train ths staff and maintain the quality of food, it could turn into a great place to go.

I got the All for 1 Platter and it was the perfect portion size for me and another person to share! 1/2 of a chicken includes two chicken legs: one with dark meat and one with white meat. Lots of chicken skin too. We got the mild spiciness, but it still packed some heat! The sauce was flavorful, creamy, and a bit tangy. I got the Perimayo Corn as a side and it was pretty yummy! It was more filling than I expected.The customer service here is pretty disappointing though. The cashiers are pretty unfriendly and look bored. For some reason they gave us the receipt for another persons order too (?). They also didnt wear face masks and didnt give us any water to drink with our meal... You will definitely need something to drink with that peri peri chicken!TLDR: 4 stars for the food, but 2 stars for service.

The pita costed $9-10 but I think the quantity was less for that price point. The rice bowl with chicken was great. The rice tasted very good and chicken was very tender, juicy and very fresh. The fries with peri peri salt didn’t had much peri peri salt on it so was kind of bland so if you plan to buy this item ask for extra salt. They had 2 sauce on the table garlic and some pepper, both were amazing. The pepper sauce was extremely hot but delicious at the same time.

Brand new spot in Fremont. Ordered the Extra Hot 1/2 chicken with 3 Lemon Pepper wings, side of rice and regular fries. Everything was delicious. The extra hot sauce has complex, rich flavor and the heat builds and builds. The lemon pepper was tangy and delicious. The rice was seasoned and offered a nice relief to the Extra Hot burn. We ordered and were served within 5 minutes even though there was a crowd. Very impressed. Will definitely return and bring friends! Staff was awesome too!!

Our go-to restaurant when we crave some good peri peri ! We usually order the peri cassava chips & lamb chops &chicken platter! add on some extra wings ! Service is excellent.Only downside is the chicken breast it tends to be kinda dry on the inside.. if that could be looked into.. Otherwise i would have rated a 5/5.

They serve everything Halal like chicken, wraps, pitas, burgers, wings and desserts. Dining was much better than other desi restaurants. There are 6 levels for spice (for chicken and pita etc): Plain(non-spicy), Lemon & Herb, Mild, Medium, Hot, Extra Hot(very, very spicy). I ordered whole chicken(medium) and burger(lemon & herb). Chicken was spicy and had to use white sauce to reduce spice.

One of the best halal place I have visited in the bayarea. The ambience, the food and hospitality was awesome.The food was delicious. Ordered Signature Chicken Mild Flavor 1/4 Leg & Thigh, Perimayo Corns and Fries.The Chicken was juicy and full of flavors😋. The corn were creamy and rich. They serve the chicken with Hot Sauce and garlic dip which add more flavors to the dish.I went there with one of my friend and she had her babies age 1.8 and 3years and while eating the kids did alot of mess but the employees were super helpful and very accommodating they cleaned the floor without saying any word. This is right next to the popular Shalimar and that I closed I tried this place, and wow! Very happy I did.The restaurant has a nice ambiance reminded me of Chipotle) and lot of seating (cant tell that from the outside).Ordered takeout and the service was swift, friendly and the food arrived super fast - like in 5 mins.Had ordered the All for one (hot) half chicken, (lemony) wings and corn.The chicken was juicy, tender and meaty, and the Peri peri sauce made it lipsmackingly good. It gets spicy I didnt try the extra hot - the hot was just right for me.The wings were lemony and nice. The corn was amazing - sweet with a zing to it.Great find - amazing sauce.

We went for our date night here. It was very noisy and we couldnt stand it. We were looking for some quiet lunch time but instead got take out and ate in the car peacefully. Food was good. Definitely going to come back for more.I eat a lot of hot n spicy food, and I got very hot chicken leg quarter and let me tell you it was very very hot and spicy. My lips were burning.... but it was good. Ill get medium hot chicken or wings next time. So for kids Ill suggest mild or herbed.

UNCOOKED chicken And POOR CUSTOMER SERVICEI called to inform them my food was not cooked. I sent them pictures. After they look at the pictures told me and I quote “Unless if I see blood or veins the chicken is cooked”. I told her when chicken is cooked it properly it is white not pink on the inside. She said our temperature is set and that is how our chicken looks. If you wanted well done you could have asked. I said there is no well done with chicken. Chicken is always fully cooked. She onlyOffered me a free half chicken on my next visit. I will never be going back there to get uncooked chicken or salmonella poisoning. She said her manager would consider that cooked and if they want to give you a refund they will call you back. I informed her I would be posting this situation so that other people won’t have the same issue and can consider for themself. Photos as proof attached.

Outstanding chicken dishes. Sauce is 🔥🔥🔥, which is all to the good! If you like less fire, it can be made that way, too. We had lunch a little late in the day, so it was really quiet. Overall, great food, nice atmosphere.

Updated review (4.26.20) Picked up carry out burger sizzler and chicken wrap. The chunks of chicken in both the wrap and burger were way too huge, dry and chewy. I feel things arent consistent and the Peri Peri fries are almost always soft and never crisp or crunchy, which is disappointing because I love fries. Also the tortilla for the wrap tasted very dry, which made the wrap fall apart. Dont think il get a wrap in the future. Ive had it in the past it has been better with smaller pieces and thinner wrap size. Lack of consistency with chicken is something that needs improvment.I would give this place 5 stars if I could. Giving 4 because their sauce scale is way more on the spicy side. Ive had Nandos more than a dozen times so am comparing my experience here to them, and Nandos sauces are more in line with what you get. Mild is mild, medium is medium, etc. At Port of Peri Peri, be warned that their mild is more medium to hot and their medium is hot to very hot. Aside from that, this is definitely on par with Nandos style. Only wish their sauces were evened out. Management hopefully youre listening, youll have way more happy customers if you go back and check your sauce spiciness. The chicken is very good. The few times Ive had their Peri Peri fries, they tasted soft /oily and not crispy as a French fry should be. Hopefully theyll address that and improve on my next visit.Ill still be coming back but will keep to my mild sauce level for enjoyment purposes.

The new Peri Fried Chicken Burger was amazing. Its the best burger I have ever tasted in the bay area so far. So many flavors. Better then Daves, Wings Plus and Mirchi. My only complain is that they should have given something else in the side, like fries or coleslaw. For the price I am paying, most other places give fries with their burger purchase. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

I have concluded after three days of non stop eating their fried chicken sandwhich, that I WOULD STARVE all day for this burger as my only meal!!!! Its so good, little sweet, medium spice didnt feel too spicy at all, so wanted to go hot on the scale, but they ran out of hot and some orange sauce. After I got my food I went to some drink,unfortunately three of them were busy straightening one of their staffs hair just next our table. That was the disgusting part. I really enjoyed this place. Ive never had this style of food before and took the family.Firstly, know the difference between hot food and spicy food. When ordering food for the first time, I recommend starting with mild heat or lower. You will find that the spice and heat can combine unexpectedly.The spicy fires were awesome (again... Spicy, NOT hot). The chicken is their specialty and you MUST have it.I couldve lived without the rice. I know some folks love it... I heard that this place was supposed to be REALLY good from a few people so I took my mom and sister. For starters it was 95° in fremont that day and they had no AC on, I dont know if it was broke but it was hot inside! We ordered a whole chicken to share. When it finally came out it looked good but when we dug in it was undercooked with a funky smell. We asked if they could just toss it back on the grill to cook it more and they ended up making us a new one which was nice of them. 2nd chicken came out and looked good! We ordered one family platter and one 5 piece lamb. We were told the lemon herb sauce was not spicy at all and that children could eat it, but it was extremely spicy and definitely not suitable for children to eat. Some in our group couldnt eat the chicken because of this. Peri peri chicken without the brand that rhymes with Lando. Port of Peri Peri gets the chicken right and the sides were fresh. Busboy was proactive so you dont have to wait long for a table.
