They have a good selection of beer and food . I like the creativity with the corn bites and the customer service is superb. The food was alright, I didnt think it was amazing as the burger was a bit too over cooked for me but thats just my personal preference. The staff and the cute atmosphere really make it but Ive definitely had way better burgers and wings.

The waitresses have to walk up and down those stairs making it impossible to get anything you ask for. I had to walk downstairs 4 times to get drinks and waters. I dont recommend eating upstairs. They also dont have imported beer!!!! Big downfall! This place needs beer! My waiter agreed that this place needs beer. The crowd next to me actually left to go to Chilis for a better bar. Not a good idea to come here if you want beer. They dont have any! NO BEER. But they have a bar for other drinks. Its a nice place though. Food was okay but it was waiting on the waiters and the lack of a decent bar that made it bad. I enjoyed the atmosphere though.

Disappointing experience. I paid $17.50 for the Cali a burger. It was small, cold, overcooked and missing elements that were listed on the menu. (Siracha aioli and crispy avocado).Mac and cheese was bland, clumpy and curdled. Chicken wings were weird, they had a soggy/rubbery texture.Service was bad. 1 server for 5 tables. She was running up and down stairs, which is not very efficient/safe. She took forever to take our order. We never got our drink order taken, they just brought water. I had to wait for them to make a trip upstairs to ask for things i needed (hot sauce, napkins and straws). Eventually, half way through our meal another server showed up.

The food was great! Amazing service, I recommend going on the second floor. I got Pineapple Beach for my drink, Bruschetta as the appetizer Shrimp Scampi entrée ans Seared Ahi Salad. The food tasted fresh too. I recommend.

This establishment was phenomenal! My sister treated me to a birthday lunch, and a treat it was...from the drinks, appetizers and selected individual dishes. Food was great, Don our waiter was kind and a joy. Set up is very homey with Down stairs or upstairs (Upper Room 😀) seating available. Great place for friends to get together and catch up with a drink. Definitely recommend a visit.

From the street this place doesnt look like much, but the inside is nicely decorated and theres an upper room on the second floor for seating.Most food options are healthy and delicious. You can get a salad with protein toppings, or choose your own combo of protein, sauce and base.Food:*Korean Steak Salad (3.5 stars) - I asked for the steak medium-rare and it was cooked perfectly. However, there were some withered/rotten greens in my salad. Also Im not a big fan of ginger, and the salad dressing (combination of Thai Chili and Korean BBQ) was too gingery for my taste.*Cripsy Brussel Sprouts (4.5 stars) - Even though it was a bit oily, it was super delicious and almost addicting. One appetizer is enough to be shared with 2-3 people.Drink:*Pearly Gates (Lemonade with chunks of strawberry and some butterfly pea tea for color).-On the board outside, it said 14 different beers are offers on tap, including a hard cider.Overall, food is delicious and large in portion. Service was good, though I stood at the door for 5 minutes before I was able to order takeout. To be fair, it was a hot day and I think they are extra busy.Tip: They offer healthy options for meal planning

Excellant food and service!!! I had the surf & turf but upped the shrimp to ahi. It was so good & plenty of food. My wife and a friend both got the surf & turf salad. They both cleaned their plates. Great beer selection also. When we were there, the owner, Brad, said they were close to getting a full liquor license... I wish we lived in the area, it would be a regular hangout! Sorry I didnt think to take pics sooner.

This place is a hidden gem. I’ve read about the old Upper Room having issues, but since it reopened I’ve had nothing but stellar visits. Great whiskey, beer, and wine selection for such a small place. The background music and design provide good, relaxing vibes. The food is always prepared perfectly. You can pick creations from the menu or customize your own dish. Lots of healthy options. Service has been excellent every visit as well. Try it.

September 6, 2018 Edit: The new owners of The Upper Room have done a GREAT JOB giving this place fresh life! Its clean, spacious, open, inviting amd YUMMY YUMMY FOOD!! I had the steak with chimichurri, mac and cheese with broccoli. The menu is limitless in the combinations of protein, sauces and sides. This patron is super please with how this place has turned around and I look forward to going back time & time again. ❤Shocked. Appauled. Down right disgusted with the owners character as a man and a human in our Tracy community. The way you conducted yourself knowing it was a public forumn is disgusting. I was looking forward to coming to your place tonight. However, I nor anyone in my circle will EVER cross the threshold into your business. Happy to have a place like this in Tracy! We were greeted and seated pretty quickly. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Food was fresh, hot, and delicious. We especially loved the fried brussel sprouts. My husband was very pleased with the on tap/craft beer selection. The waitress said that breakfast is available Saturday/Sunday mornings and I would be very interested in checking that out. My only suggestion would be to please put a not an entrance sign on the door that faces 11th Street because it totally look like a regular door you can go thru, but you cant, and the people sitting in the chairs that face to door look at you funny. My only complaint is that I ordered a mid rare steak that was definitely more mid well...but the flavor was still really good and the steak was tender. All in all, highly recommend!

The food wad so good we devoured it before we took pictures. We had steak and mac and cheese snd salad; and shrimp scampi! Garlicly devin. Don was an excellent server and bartender. The drinks were exceptional! Blue Hawaiian especial and peach mule we had 2 each they were so good. Definitely a go to place for lunch or dinner. This is a must to visit we certainly will soon! The best clean eating in town! This is all real, fresh food. And Chef Zach is fantastic. No where, not even at the more expensive establishments in town, will you find a chef of this caliber. And they offer meal prep. Which comes out to at most $8 a meal. Less if you order more at a time. Unbeatable! The upper room is a welcome addition to Tracys growing collection of SF feeling establishments. And in my opinion, the best one. Tracy has been in dire need of a place like this for years. Many of us moving from over the hill missed having clean eating options around. But now there is The upper room!

We decided to come back to visit on Valentines day. Originally was going to head to Chilies for dinner but found out they were too busy and decided to call and found out there was not wait and headed over right away. Right after my husband and me came in two more parties followed. Me and my husband were seated within 5 minutes without a reservation. Nice to know reservations can be made in the future. Nicole was our server and she great. Very fast with our food and very talkative. Was happy to take picture for me of both me and my husband. I asked for water 2 times and my husband actually went down to the restaurant kitchen to ask for 2 glasses for me. I seriously dont mind. It was nice that my husband served me some drinks. I also know he may miss serving sometimes. Gave Nicole a well deserved tip. The rest of your staff was exceptional and food is always amazing. One thing I would like to note my husband and me both sat a high top on the second floor on metal stools with no cushion. I dont mean to sound frank but my butt and his hurt quite a bit through our dinner. Would love if there might be cushions to sit on. Seriously besides that everything was great. Will be back again definitely. Thank you. Will ask for Nicole again.

We finally tried the Upper Room today for lunch to see what the hype is all about.I want to start with saying just because its the best clean eating, real food place in Tracy, does not mean its amazing or the best food ever. That would be like saying, its ok, for Tracy. If its good, its gotta be good anywhere.I have mixed feelings about the Upper Room. I truly see what the owners are going for BUT its not quite there yet. They need a little more attention to detail in the interior design, servers and kitchen to make it great.When you walk in, its a bit awkward with the set up. Theres no one greeting you so youre not quite sure where to go.The interior needs a bit of work. A little more elbow grease maybe, or different lighting. It doesnt feel new, if you know what I mean.We ordered fairly quickly which was awesome. Our food took a bit of time, but for fresh, clean food, it can take time. Totally fine.But when we got our food, it was wrong. I ordered chicken with salsa verde with brussel sprouts and carrots. My husband ordered steak with chimichurri and mixed vegetables.My chicken got the chimichurri and his steak got the salsa verde, which wasnt even green, it was red. So we had to ask. We agreed to keep the dishes the way they were because it would have taken too much time to have them switch. And upon my first bite of chicken, it was cold. Not room temperature but cold. And my carrots and brussel sprouts were burnt. I dont mind a little char on my veggies but these were burnt.At the end of it all, I decided not to return my dish, again, but it wasnt worth my time.My husbands steak was delicious as were his veggies - which werent burned at all.Everything did need some salt and pepper though.I dont know how long this place has been open but if these types of dishes are their schtick, then they need to get them right to be successful.I will absolutely give them another chance and hope I can give them a better review, too!

I read the reviews before going to the upper room restaurant. It appeared to be a great place to eat. However the food we ordered wasn’t good. The tuna ahi was over cooked and dry. The vegetables were tasty though. My husband had the fish and chips. The fish was cooked but the batter was doughy and had no flavor. The only thing that was good was that the atmosphere seemed comfortable and the waitress was very friendly and helpful. Although this was our first time I will not be going again.

Not odds Im willing to play....I just want to say that whoever owns this restaurant gets it! Great food, GENEROUS portions and at a fair price. Food was fresh and flavorful. Went yesterday for my birthday. Food was great. Love the poke nachos, avacado bites. Never tried deep fried avocados before but wow great 👍 Our entire dinner was one of the best weve had in a while. If you have not tried The upper room, go now. The food is great. They have options for vegetarians and meat eaters. As a kid I was never a fan of brussel sprouts, the upper room changed my mind! They are amazing. Have you ever heard of poke nachos?!? Outstanding! Its a great fusion of sushi and nachos. Its an appetizer but is big enough to be a meal in it self. The fish and chips were cooked to perfection. No oily soggy fish here. The fries were crisp an delicious. My son, who only likes cheeseburger and ketchup, said the bbq burger was great! He has a new favorite. The kids Mac and cheese was so flavorful. I forgot to ask but it has to be made from scratch. The drink selection, wow. They have many, many craft beers both in the bottle and on tap. If you are not sure what you want they are happy to give recommendations. So if you have not been here, or its been a while, stop by for some great food and drink. ( I would have added pictures of the food but it didnt last long 🤣).

The service and food has always been great here....when the new owners took control of The Upper Room I was in shock of how well they treat their customers. One of the owners who was working upstairs next to us while we were eating noticed that we were not happy with our food at one point because one plate of the salmon was undercooked. He immediately asked if everything was okay, brought back an entirely new plate, and took one of our drinks off the pill. These owners have such amazing plans for this restaurant. Great place and unique food!

It was my husbands first time there. I thought that is would be a nice place to have lunch for our 38th anniversary. And it did prove to be nice. Unfortunately for my husband who wanted the ribs was told after ordeeing them that they were not available. He did enjoy his second choice. This was my first dining experience here...granted i understand were are in a covid situation but the service really wasnt the greatest...when we tried to order the top 3 menu items they are known for they were not serving 🤨then it took like 30 minutes for 3 drinks when there was 4 outside tables, i get there was 1 waitress but come on!.. so finally i get to order food which wasnt much to choose from so i got steak nachos and by the time i got them the chips were soggy🤢omg i was not impressed what so ever! We came here the other days with some friends and she gave the same old attitude, we ignored it and went for a table outside and the thing was caked with gray black grime. Whatever, we waited for her to come out and wipe the table or at least give us the menus but she never came back out! I don’t usually give reviews but this is just ridiculous. I really can’t recommend this place to anybody who isn’t just grabbing take out.

Very disappointed. Enough to leave my first bad review ever. The coffee was weak and the half & half was sour. The waitress didnt even seem surprised when she took them away to replace them. We almost left after that, but I wanted to give them a chance. Half our plates arrived more than 5 minutes before the others. When they did arrive, some of the potatoes on each plate were undercooked. The floors and bathrooms just looked grimy and gross. Although the tables seemed clean enough, my husband thought the window sill looked like someone spit their dip on it. He tried to talk to the waitress, but she didnt care. Im usually one to give a place another chance, but not when Im wondering how they passed the health inspection.

I have had a mess up with my to go order (received someone else’s order and was missing an item when I finally got mine) but you guys handled it professionally and even though it was disappointing to have to drive back I felt content with your service.I am however very disappointed that during shelter in place you have people dining in and eating at your bar. This restaurant is now under new management, and they have gotten even better.We walked in for lunch and yes, there is an upper room. The restaurant offers a very health-oriented menu. So we really didnt know what to expect on this occasion.We were promptly greeted by our hostess who seated us and shared her knowledge of the menu choices. I asked for three samples of the many different sauces you can get to complement your menu choices and all three were excellent and obviously freshly prepared. The pesto sauce is truly amazing. I ordered salmon which came with a choice of starches and vegetables, and it was one of the best salmon dinners I have had in ages and certainly the best in the valley. I opted for the mac and cheese with the salmon and it is very, very good. My daughter had the steak dinner which I sampled. It was tender and full of flavor and came with potatoes, and her choice of vegetables.Surprisingly, the meals can be ordered ala carte, without the starch or vegetables at a greatly reduced price if you have a light appetite. They also have an extensive salad menu featuring steaks, chicken, shrimp, etc., etc.This was a very memorable dining experience which I plan revisiting again and again!

Today was my first time coming here and I do not eat meat, so I was very excited to order the beyond burger when I saw it on the menu. My cousin ordered the crispy chicken sandwich and my boyfriend got the surf n turf. We all absolutely loved our food, this place is amazing. I had also ordered the crispy brussels appetizer and for some reason it didnt make it onto the ticket. We came back to pick up our order, went home, started to eat and then I realized the bag was empty and I didnt have my brussels. When I called them, the guy said he saw the order packed and there was no food left behind. That is when he realized it somehow was not even ordered. So even though I had not paid for it, he told me to come in anyway and they would have it ready for me, and they also gave me a free Caliberry Sunset drink while I waited. I will definitely be coming back, thank you so much!!

This place is a bit unusual, but fairly straightforward with its menu. I find it a challenge to review, but would have to give it 4 stars, because in the end I still feel like I liked it. What I enjoyed here was the value, wholesome well cooked food, and very friendly owner and chef. All for appears to be cooked to order, and thus tastes very fresh and exceptionally wholesome, and the wait time is quite reasonable.Now onto the cons/suggestions:Poor hours, I cant come here for breakfast, nor when Id normally have dinner.Though the food is wholesome and the portion sizes were decent, even traditionally spicy sauces like Salsa Verde, were on the bland side. If you enjoy exotic cuisines like Mexican, Indian, Korean, you might find their food a bit bland, its a great place if youre sick or having stomach issues though. The menu is prix fixe, so if youre exceptionally hungry, or just looking to snack, every plate is about the same size, and the menu doesnt have any appetizers or à la carte items.My first time ordering here was exceptionally daunting, but it became much easier successive times. The menu has an uncoventional approach where you have to choose one thing out of each of several categories. There were no specials, or suggestions as to what would pair well. The menu has some exotic names with no descriptions which makes it hard to decide what to try. I wasnt sure if I was supposed to sit anywhere or wait to be seated. Menus were laid out on a counter with a cash register, so I wasnt sure if I was supposed to order there (which I did), or take a seat and then wait for a waiterress come to me (which I should have done). It was assumed that my food was a to go order, and it was packed and left for me to pick up on a counter, whilst I was seated and expecting a plate.

Food is good, docked one star for the service. Went to lunch at around 230pm on a Friday which is not busy when I was there. I need extra dressing but had to come get it myself bc our server never checked on us. This is our 2nd visit, our 1st visit we sat upstairs and servers almost forgot about us. Gave it a second chance today but service is still lacking. Ordered the Ahi Tuna Salad.Ahi Tuna had fatty ligaments to it. It was time to give The Upper Room a try & so glad I did. Stated with a fun drink the Pineapple Beach and decided to order food for dinner while I was there. Ordered the Ahi with Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Mac & Cheese. Im not even a Brussel Sprout fan but was told I had to try them, omg they were delicious guess Im a fan now. The decor is cute they have a butterfly wall mural going up the stairs. Theres an upstairs dining area too. I had wonderful service and will definitely go back. The menu is varied with different proteins & sides.

They had 1 waitress during the dinner rush she was running up and down stairs. Dont waste your money!
