So nice service and omg so good food!!! Vegan heaven at the bus station! Literally. We loved everything: enchiladas, loaded fries with fish mushrooms, desserts and and berry drink. So yummy. Hidden gem, thank you!

Definitely check The Vegan Vato out if you’re in the area! Vegans and meat eaters will love it. This vegan Mexican restaurant is amazing! 🔥 I love that they don’t use fake meats, instead they use natural substitutes such as jackfruit and hibiscus. This place is definitely a 10/10! Also I absolutely love the amazing events they are always hosting. My husband and I attended a cooking class and it was an incredible experience!

I went the 1st time yesterday, and WOW, that is some of the most delicious food ! The flavors could bring a person out of a coma !The cheesecake was the best cheesecake Ive ever had, Im not easily impressed by cheesecake, I normally dont care for it, but it was slap your momma delicious 😋😜😉! Im glad my mother wasnt worth me ! I actually had to eat out 1st because I never leave room for dessert, Im not into sets for the most part, and that cheesecake was just sweet enough and had that caramel like yum on it !The Enchiladas Plate came with 3 and we got the oyster mushrooms battered and my friends and I each ate one & some of the rice and black beans ! Yum yum yumWe took the leftovers to my family, we love ❤️ dairy FREE because of lactose intolerance !!!A must try before you die !!!

I didn’t take the best photos but no doubt this meal was so incredible! We were so happy to try this place and it goes without question this is delicious food! Vegan or not you will enjoy a meal here.I put a before and after photo to show that the give you big portions here and we didn’t hesitate to stuff ourselves. We didn’t miss out on trying everything so we took some nachos to go.I truly recommend this to everyone!Please please give this wonderful gem a try! So far, so good!I havent had a bad experience yet and I am thrilled to have a vegan restaurant in the High Desert.Some comments in general.This is not the type of place that is trying to disguise what the food is. And this isnt a comment for or against places that do that, its just for expectation folks might have.For example, the fish is great. Its portobello mushrooms, delicious. But do not expect it to have been treated with seaweed or anything to bring out a fishy flavor.The space and kitchen is small. There can be a wait if theyre slammed. And if its exceptionally busy, seating can be close.Theres just bottled water and canned carbonated water available. Id bring a drink or get it to go if you want something else or dont want to pay so much for water.I recommend the taco trio! Try a few different proteins and find your favorite!

Really great tasting food, and it came out fairly quickly. They dont use fake meats, but rather season different whole foods to get the flavors and texture theyre looking for.Only tough part is the location. Its nice inside the restaurant area, but its on the side of the old bus station which is pretty divey. When we went in, it was a bit tricky to find the door on the far side of the building and not greatly labeled. It was a longer walk because the train was on the tracks and we parked in the bus area.With all that, Id 100% go back and recommend to others in the area. Such good flavors, and really good portion sizes at a fair price!

Food is delicious and fresh. Service is excellent! Prices are matched perfectly with the portions. I am a picky eater. The rice and beans sounded flavorful so I ordered that and a taco. The nachos looked like everyone’s favorite because it was at nearly every table. I don’t typically order black beans, and these were yummy.. homemade is the best made! Sorry not a picture of the taco.. you’ll just have to go and try them yourself. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

Amazing vegan Mexican restaurant! Truly plant-based menu, no fake meat here. The hibiscus flower carnitas were a really pleasant shock and the potato cauliflower chorizo was very tasty. A unique and spectacular find.

From 2 Angelenos who get to visit vegan restaurants every day: this is possibly the best plant based Mexican food we’ve ever had.don’t be thrown off by it’s location(Greyhound Station)…this gem is like an oasis. The menu is small and simple, but the dishes were the opposite. Clearly family owned and operated, the dishes served are beautifully presented, and the flavors are WOW. Best jackfruit we’ve ever had. It’s very obvious now much the chef/owner loves creating and sharing food.Did we mention that not only are the proteins(pollo, asada, chorizo, and fish) all made from different ingredients, none are made from the ol’ Impossible or Beyond meats, which was a welcome change.We can’t wait to go back on our next roadtrip. Don’t eat before you leave! Save the hunger for Victorville!

They helped with an onion and garlic allergy!Took one star off because the location is hard to find. Maybe add a large street facing sign to the entrance of the greyhound station.

Delicious food!! Very polite and helpful staff! I felt like they were proud to serve me! This place is a MUST TRY for everyone. High quality foodI got chips and salsa, which tasted very good, seasoned, and beyond your normal chips and salsa. I also got a rice and bean bowl with a bit of each of the proteins. This tasted delicious and I will definitely be back.

Located is very elusive. Hubby was glad we found it. My grandson is a big foodie he was excited, but food and flavor pallets were filled with the same flavors.We order a few different dishes plus dessert. We never got our dessert by the time we got up to leave.Very friendly people. But we were the only customers in the place for about 45 min. Maybe should have tried something different.

Wow. I am amazed. I became vegan a few days ago after being vegetarian for a few years. This place is about to make this journey so much easier. One of the hardest things for me to give up was Mexican food because so many Mexican restaurants use Lard in their beans and cook their rice in chicken broth.When I tell you...the food was so well made. I am extremely happy that this spot has finally made its way to the High Desert.I got a wet burrito with chorizo(potatoes). It was the perfect amount of spicy, the chorizo was so flavorful and tender. The mix of veggies was delightful and provided a nice crunch to each bite. I cant wait to try other items on the menu.

We stopped here for dinner on our way home and we are so glad we did. The young lady and young man were very helpful and courteous. We had the trio taco(all three were delicious )with rice and beans and biscotti cheesecake (which was amazing). We found a new vegan restaurant when we go to Victorville. We almost drove by it... It is in with the Greyhound station. Two thumbs up 👍👍

Everything Is very much vegan there and no animal products period. Everything is hand made from scratch and that takes a long time. If you have made Mexican cuisine you will know that. Roasted boiled and cooked for many hours. It is a new twist on Mexican food and also vegan. I like to call it comfort vegan food and it is quite delicious and portions can be shared. my husband and I share a nacho. Keep up the hard, good work vegan vatos.

Hey Vegans!!! Weve got an All-Star Authentic VEGAN restaurant in the High Desert. This place is the bomb. Truly vegan! No processed foods. The owner, the chef delivers culinary expertise with breat taking CLASS 👌 🙌. The ambiance of the interior restaurant is very clean, fresh, and inviting to small and mid to large crowds. Great for vegan parties and social gathering. The music was spot on. I live in northern Victorville and wanted to treat the wife to dinner and movie. Were LA transplants, loving ❤️ the high desert lifestyle. Its exciting to see tge high desert expand it options by including true vegan high end culinary Mexican treats. We were tired of the mundane vegetarian bottom feeder, table scrapped, process choices that other 4-STAR restaurant offer. The VEGAN Vatos offers great food, fair pricing, wonderful ambiance, excellent business ownership, all wrapped for nice quiant evening out. BRAVO!!!

This review is based on my experience and in no way am I trying to bring a business down. But there are a few things I want to share. I believe that energy is everything and the energy you bring to the meals you prepare is everything.To start, the Chef didn’t seem like he was in a good mood. He seemed bothered that I came in while he was making food for a large group. He put emphasis on the fact that the food would take 20 minutes to prepare, which I didn’t mind at all. The woman taking my order seemed nice but some of her comments thru me off, and it made me want to leave. I chose to stay against my gut feeling cuz I wanted to give them a chance.What I liked:I liked the rice. It was rich in flavor and I could see myself enjoying a bowl of it. I also appreciate the way in which the burrito was wrapped. Those are some skills. The marinade on the hibiscus flower was also tasty.However, there was a lot more that I didnt like. I ordered the jackfruit chicken burrito. The jackfruit tasted too much like brine and it was not properly shredded. The flavor was bland.I was also disappointed they skimped me on the shredded mushroom and cashew cheese that came with my pretty slim birria taco. The amount of protein I was given was the bare minimum. The corn tortilla was also not purple corn like on the menu, and I was also given very very little cabbage . Overall, I felt disappointed as I had high hopes for this spot. This Mexican food menu I am familiar with since its not a new concept, and I thought I’d give it a shot. I was bummed at the lack of love the chef put into to the meal he prepared for me.
