Excellent resort. Love the rooms, grounds, and pools. By far one of the nicest places we have stayed at. Would highly recommend it to anyone.
The resort is very nice and in good order. The rooms are very nice and clean. The issue is that there are barely any staff members working at the pool, making it impossible to order drinks. Therefore, I had to keep going to the bar. If you are going to ban outside drinks and food at the pool, at least you need to do is staff accordingly. The hotel lacks a proper bar and restaurant that othet Westin resorts like this have. The westin hotel next door is no longer affiliated, so you can no longer use the facilities.
I love this place! They have such fun activities for the whole family! The rooms are big and spacious. The pool is super fun and clean.

This trip was our annual Family Labor Day weekend vacation. The accommodations were great and the staff were amazing. Alexandra Martinez ensured that our family vacation would be an amazing experience and she and the Westin team did not disappoint. The entire team (Alexandra Martinez, Aaron Hassan, Rebecca Fortier, Maria Kelley, Behany Nunez, Mariana Jimenez, Randall Henderson) attributed to our amazing vacation. While we always have the best time ever, my family said this year was even more amazing than the other 7 years. The staff went over and beyond to accomodate us, including our villa selections, our check-in experiencees, our cabana experiences and the overall kind and warm treatment by this amazing team.
Stayed here a few times before and had good experiences so we decided to book again. Definitely not the same front desk staff and management as prior stays. At check in the front desk girl asked what is the color and make of your car?. I answered not thinking much of it, then to find out they charged me $20 per night for parking. I didnt even drive a car to the property. Booked a large 1 bd villa and was assigned a room on the street. Im a light sleeper, so I asked to be moved. In my reservation, I requested a room facing the golf course. Didnt get that so I had to go back to the front desk. After texting the Manager, they finally found one. It was an accessible room. Completely different layout than a standard room. Im a Lifetime Platinum Member (600+ nights) with Marriott and this is the best you can do??? Finally get to the room and discovered a long crack in the ceiling in the living room, multiple tiles cracked in the bathroom floor and one of the bathroom doors was broken and didnt open when closed.A couple positives about this property are the location and the main pool. We arrived at the pool at 7 pm and not an employee in sight. Luckily there were about 6 towels left out at the towel station. Water slide was closed for the whole weekend. The layout of the pool area is nice, ample chairs and lots of palm trees with a nice waterfall in the corner. The location of the property is great as well. Close to the restaurants in Rancho Mirage, Aqua Caliente Casino, Costco and other stores/restaurants only 5 minutes away.The front desk staff definitely need additional training especially when checking in Elite members. Using the worn out excuse This is a vacation property is not acceptable. Yes, WE are on vacation which means that you should do as much as you can to allow us to enjoy our vacation. It is not an excuse to do less!!There are too many options available to travelers these days and receiving service that is below par is not a way to run a successful property.
Much like our Marriott timeshare villas, which means top-of-the-line, luxurious accommodations. Only eatery on site is the pool bar but offerings were good. Very helpful staff
Location is nice, staff helpful. Waterside closed on the weekend we came, bummer. The pool was extremely crowded. A male Staff that was loading the water cups around the pool area, he dropped all the cups on the ground and proceeded to put them in the cup dispenser anyway as if they never hit the ground. Note to self DONT USE THE CUPS BY THE POOL. NOT CLEAN
Great place to stay for families. It was nice to have a washer and dryer in the room. Huge balcony with a nice view.
I have been coming here off and on for over a decade. The villas are renovated every few years and are always in great condition. They include a full kitchen, living room, dining area and bedroom. You can adjoin two villas if you have a large family or need more than one bedroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, silverware, plates, etc.There are two pools. The Paradise Pool is large and has a water slide, spa, a bar and a wading pool for toddlers. A secondary pool is located at the end of the property and is small with one hot tub.There is a small fitness center next to the Paradise Pool. Equipment is in great shape.There is a walking path that will take you to different parts of the property, or you can hop on a shuttle that will take you anywhere you want to go on the property.You used to be able to take the walking path from the villas to the hotel property next door, so you can use their fitness center or pools, but they no longer offer that.It is a well maintained property with amazing staff and service. Be sure to check out the various events they have scheduled for kids and adults.
Rooms and everything is great on site but customer service is rude and doesn’t like to help . Spoke to Rebecca from customer service on the phone and she was rude and getting an attitude. Y’all should change her name to “Karen”.

We had a lovely time. Make sure however if you want a full Kitchen you book a premium one bedroom not just a regular one bedroom. Front office staff offered no help when we arrived to find out that it wasnt a full kitchen. They were full but we were there for 10 days and they didnt offer that we could possibly change rooms part way through our stay. We were there working so really did need the extra room that a full one bedroom would have provided.
We were a No Show to our reservation because our daughter became ill and was throwing up 2 days before our stay, they have a 48 hour cancelation policy and we missed it by hours when we called. Not only was this trip going to be fun and something to look forward to, but it was important because it was for a gymnastics competition... we missed her VERY important gymnastics competition because of this and they charged me for a hotel room that was never used (they did not have to clean it or do anything) and the kicker... we know they had other vacancies because when we called down there asking if there were rooms available still, the front desk person said they had plenty available. If you have children, you would understand this and make an exception for this... its completely unacceptable. I disputed this with them and they refused to refund me the money... they are giant company with TONS of money, the very least they can do it refund some money to a family who could really use it. Never staying here ever again and will tell all my friends and family the same.
Positive: This was very clean with nice furnishings and a private patio. Negative: The only two drawbacks are that the hot tub wasnt working properly and the water pressure was low (which maybe cant be helped because it may be because its the desert).
Unprofessional and very disappointing in hiring managers and over all service. went twice for an interview, my husband and I went for interviews separately and people doing them besides one lady were rude. Three specific men I have their names, were rude.
It was just around the corner from Sunnylands, close to Gelsons. Comfortable beds and well-stocked kitchens. The pool was awesome with comfy chaise lounges, umbrellas, towels, and a jacuzzi.
The stay before this we had great service, but this time, it seems like we were just cattle. Tried to upgrade, no deal. Tried to extend, no deal. I guess membership doesnt have its privileges.
I love to come here in the fall to use extra points from my timeshare. Missed the past 2 yrs so it was nice to come back. Still impeccably clean, and instantly makes you feel at home. I heard the pool bar restaurant was open only until 5pm. I did not get food at the resort this time. Brought food to cook and made use of the full kitchen. Everything needed was available. Get the premium one bedroom so you have the jacuzzi tub in room. The only semi problem seemed to be parking.
Everything was great from the staff to the accommodations. The only problems were parking and some of the pool features were not open. Parking is a major headache. One night I had to park clear on the other side of the facility which was a really long walk. And given the price they charge for parking this should not exist. In fact there should be no charge at all for having to walk several hundred yards to your room. From what I understand the pool slide has been closed for quite a while and will remain closed indefinitely. Knowing what I know now I would probably have chosen a different resort.
Absolutely amazing! The service was great and there is so much to explore, with little duck ponds and beautiful golf courses. The pool is so nice with 125 foot water slides, and a tasty poolside bar. There is an Italian restaurant that is so yummy

This is a beautiful resort! Great for a long weekend! The rooms are very spacious and clean. The grounds, amenities and restaurants are very nice. The architecute is beautiful. The service is excellent. The staff are courteous and polite, and go out of their way to acommodate every request. Jasmin, at the Front Desk, was very kind, patient, and resourceful when accommodating our requests. I would definitely come back to Westin Mission Hills Resort.
Did it meet expectations? No. In the evening its like a graveyard. No restaurant or bar after 7? Really? The gal at the desk said its timeshare mentality... with those hours its more like daycare. No general store, just directions to Walgreens. Bought Marriott timeshare... think Im gonna stick with Marriott.
My family and I had a good stay at the Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas. The slide on the resort is a hidden secret and the cold water by the pool is the perfect thing to cool you down during the hot summer months. We were able to cook on the grill outside and were very comfortable during our entire stay here. Would recommend.
Not a great experience. 45 minute check in at 5pm, unresponsive front desk, rooms have a cramped, dated feel. Have made multiple attempts to get the bill for our stay in order to credit Marriott Bonvoy account (since it couldn’t be done during the 45 minute check in). No response. At this price point, could have reserved the ritz carlton. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.
Don’t get why there’s any negative reviews - we’ve stayed here 5 times and every time is consistently good. We love making breakfast every morning and it’s so beautiful.
Hate only that they dont have free parking for guests.. dont know what other secret fee they have..

Nice property. Horrible front desk.After flying 10 hours, my room was not ready at 3:50, which I understand. Was told should be ready at 4 and they would text me. Pointed out I would be sitting right in front of them. Nothing. Finally, when I checked back later at 4:45, they told me it was ready. No text or other indication.To make it up to me, they gave me a voucher at the bar -- that would close in 15 minutes. Big help.Now this is a big property, but they pointed me in the wrong direction. Probably walked 3/4 of a mile with my luggage.Frankly, for $600 a night, I expected more. Not doing this again.
Extremely disappointing. Service hospitality NON existent, quality / value equation out of line. Much better resort options. Check in line was 12 guest deep, one person trying to manage it. Said no one was there to help. Checked in early, room wasn’t ready, which is fine, but then instead of activating mobile key you have to go back again to get plastic key.$700 a night room with windows on two sides facing parking lot - so car lights shining in all night and loud noise from parking lot and employee break area outside the door. No willingness to assist or help with a move. Calling service express is frustrating called a couple of times, no answer. Got thru finally the folks answering were curt, unfriendly and just not nice.Asked for room to be cleaned daily, didnt happen until last day. ( day four ) Room was not clean carpets old and didn’t appear clean, coffee machine that has coffee product that doesnt fit so it overflows and spills everywhere, iron had stuff on it so it trashed the shirt. No attention to details. Pool bar was incredibly bad. Bartenders never smiled once or used in any friendly language, actually very off putting, eating their lunch behind the bar in front of guests, cleaning supplies and materials all over the top of bar in front of guests. Giving last call at 4pm when pool is packed and people are spending money.Quiet pool had an employee walking around offering water which was really nice.Server working coffee shop was super nice. Server at bar clubhouse was nice.Extremely hard to get ahold of anyone at Hotel or Marriott to give feedback or get assistance. Feedback mechanism while at hotel and at on app is very hard.Chat didn’t work a couple of different times, when it did someone called me who was just not nice or even empathetic
Traveled here a few years ago. Great memories. Place was well maintained and beautiful looking. The only reason this is a 4 star is because they cut access to the Westin Resort next door though but it makes quite a difference. There was a game centre there and larger gym than the villas. We went to Pinzimini restaurant for breakfast just about every day. As far as I know, there is no breakfast place at the Villas. I believe they sold the resort to another company which is obviously not in the best interest of guests here. Overall, though, the villas property itself was great.
The rooms were clean and the pools were great, especially with the summer heat. Only issue is the crickets that seem to come in via the drains so I would recommend simply closing them when not in use. Otherwise, it’s a really nice spot.
Very nice resort. We rented a pair of adjoining Villas. Cost was a little less than $400/night for both suites together. It was overkill for a family of 4, but didnt cost much more to have two full beds and two washrooms. Our main Villa are equipped with a full kitchen, side Villa had a Kitchenette. We also had a BBQ on our large patio. There was a second patio with the side Villa. The garden and pond and waterfalls were beautiful. Complete with ducks. The resort is beautifully decorated with feather palms, windmill palms, agave, and cactus. The paradise pool, large, designed well. There is a second pool for the waterslide, a third kiddie pool, a hot tub whirlpool, and a bar. There is another smaller pool on the far side of the resort, it is a lot quieter. Its located right next to a golf course. This is an absolutely beautiful resort, and is already on our list to return to.
As soon as I checked in and went inside the room, we found a bunch of bottles and trash under the sink and there was no accessibility to go to the Marriott mission hills hotel property via walking trail due to a change of management also Bedding was soo uncomfortable even we booked premium villa that we ended up sleeping on the couch. after sleeping one night on this hotel bed, my whole body was aching and our condition was horrible all day long on next day so we look for massage shops nearby. this would be my last visit to this property.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and absolutely loved our stay. We took advantage of the pool and loved how close the location is to downtown. The staff was amazing and super friendly! Looking forward to celebrate our anniversary here next year!
The staff was genuine in fullfilling any request or supplying local informatiom. All areas of the property were exceptionally well maintained. My 1 bedroom suite could have used more lighting in the bedroom. Pool area was never crowded and well maintained also.
This is my happy Relaxing vacation place. So pretty, well taken care of grounds, great service, very clean and well maintained pool.Rooms are always so pretty and I like that they dont come in your room every day but any time you need something, they are happy to bring you neccessary items. I reserved my room for a conference in November. Now February and I check in because they didnt assign me a room they are full and send me to an overflow motel. I am now seperated from my group and do not have ability to get back and forth to conference events. They could care less she dudnt even ask if i have my car. The new room might be comped but I will now spend that in Uber and work was paying for room anyway. I guess I wish someone cared a little but about service.
It’s been a few years now since I’ve been here but it is still one of my all time favorite places to stay. There is tuns of thing’s to do here for everyone of all ages. This resort has 3 pools water slides tennis courts a games room with air hockey and other arcade games and more It is also very beautiful and cleanwuth lots of fountains and ponds I was here with my family and we had tubs of fun using all the amenities even though we aren’t golfers. The restaurants here also have good food The room we stayed in had a balcony with a good view looking at the golf course. I hope to stay here again in the future.
This resort is amazing. The rooms are decorated beautifully, kitchens fully stocked with everything needed, they have all the comforts of home. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, well manicured, and clean. The pool area has cabanas you can rent for the day that have a ceiling fan, mini fridge, TV, and a water tower, with plenty of seating. The employees are so friendly, helpful, and very attentive. I highly, highly recommend this place.
**VERY DECEIVING** We were invited to stay here as part of one of their Timeshare presentation deals. Having never seen a Timeshare presentation before, we decided to take them up on their offer. We have been to the resort next door several times, the Golf Resort and Spa, and please note that these Mission Hills Villas are using photos on their website of amenities that are NOT on this property! The restaurants, the Spa, the arcade, the coffee shop and gift shop, are all for the Golf Resort and Spa, which they are NOT affiliated with. Its 100% false advertising. Why would you have photos of amenities that arent yours?? By the way, if you want to access any of the neighboring resorts amenities, its not free access. They are completely separate. Feels like we got Catfished. Trip Advisor also shows photos of pools that arent theirs, so you really dont know what youre getting until you get there.Additionally, prior to our arrival, I received an email from them asking me if I had any preferences on the room, such as floor preference, view, etc. I asked if it was possible to have a BBQ on our patio, and here was their response (copy and pasted from the exact email): BBQs are not on the Patios for safety reasons, but we get there and see theres literally a BBQ on almost every single patio EXCEPT for ours! I couldnt help but laugh. Why would you lie about that? Maybe our room type, being part of the Timeshare deal didnt have the option for a BBQ, so why not say that instead of flat out lying about it??Jump to the Timeshare presentation... if you have never been a part of one and are feeling a little nervous about it, you should be. They start off friendly but as soon as you say no thank you, they treat you like dirt. The lady we had started insulting us as parents (over and over again) and saying things like we are holding our daughter back from seeing the world, and how we arent allowing her to make good memories with our family. That method of sales is extremely tasteless. Shame on you all for that. To the blonde woman giving our presentation, (Ill respectfully leave your name out) your parenting critiques are unwarranted and inappropriate.Mission Hills Villas, this experience was unpleasant and highly uncomfortable. Based on the level of false advertising, lies and discomfort, Ill be sure to spread the word and hope someone else reads this review as a warning. In my personal opinion, which Im sure you dont care to hear, remove all the photos of the Golf Resort and Spa and start sharing photos of what YOU have to offer.
Just got home yesterday from stay on 11/14/2022-11/17/2022. Went for birthday vacation left with confirmed case of BED BUGS. Was told by Jason Brock, the Resort Manager to shake out all of my clothes then place everything back in my bags and I will be good I have to say this was the worst experience of my life to wake up to bed bugs crawling all over and biting your body. One star is lowest rating I can submit on the site. I caution everyone considering this Resort to choose another property, for your own health.
I went on a marketing package, it was for 4 people, but they gave a smallest room possible. room was very cramped, carpet is dirty, cant even move around properly. On top of that they wanted me to attend a presentation to invest in this property. I mean seriously how you can expect someone to invest in this property for this nasty room they have namesake kitchen no utensils, no daily room service. I dont think its even worth $299, I felt embarrassed on myself that I fell for this package. This is not Westin Standard this is some dingy resort.
The service here is amazing. Youre greeting with smiles from all the staff. Rooms are modern and well equipped. The full kitchen is perfect since I prefer to cook on vacation.
This resort was completely a treat! Very quite, great vibes and amazing views. Golfing experience was breathtaking. Staff is extremely helpful and food was pretty good! 1 thing that would put this resort completely over the top is upscale craft drinks! Drinks were still good though.
Lovely, lovely place. This resort is by far one of thee most beautiful places Ive ever stayed at. Rooms are amazing, clean and feels like ones right at home. I cannot wait to stay here again. Thank you wonderful staff for providing an unforgettable atmosphere all around.

After reading other positive reviews, I am honestly perplexed. We just got back from a 4 night/5 day package to attend a vacation program pitch, and left totally disappointed. The property looks nice, and the grounds are nice, but the quality of construction for the units, and the less than desirable unit maintenance left us thinking folks must not expect much of Westin properties anymore. It felt like we were staying at our kids nice but modest apartment complex in Sacramento. The spa was deserted and understaffed. The restaurant was also deserted and felt like an upscale Dennys. And our room was this dark hole with the only view being the parking lot and service way for staff. Coffee maker was cheap plastic and by the time we were on our third unit and still no joy, we gave up and just spent our mornings at a nearby Starbucks. I guess if your expectations are OK enough to dump the spouse and kids and play golf all day at the lovely looking course (you probably guessed, I dont golf), this is your place. If you expected a luxury vacation experience, my advice is keep looking.
This place was 5 stars consistently but the maintenance quality has dropped.Little details lacking, like locks to patio doors not working, loose screws on door screens, caulking in bathrooms separated from floor which goes to show nobody has even checked in 2/3 years?Great location, great environment, fun pool, so continue to visit but it isnt 5 stars good any longer.
Do not bother staying here. May 2021they are limiting pool use to 2 hours a day unless u pay them $200-$300 for a Cabana.They decided to clean the pool every 15 minutes but they won’t step foot in your disgusting rooms full of sand and dirty towels.They are understaffed. Rude. Lacking common sense in how to run a hotel and unprepared for days that they are fully booked. But they of course will charge you the full room rate even though u are getting 0 service.“We have no control over the weather and we do mot clean rooms when guests are checked in.”NONSENSE!!!! Talk about using covid to increase profits while cutting budgets.Will never never stay here again.
Great spring break stay for a week with our 4 and 5 year old kids. Pool was really fun and the rooms were nice. Our kitchen was small but had everything we needed. Nearly every inch of cabinet space was already used with all the plates/glasses/appliances/utensils leaving little to no space to put food away.During spring break there were a lot of families with teens there. It was noisy until around 10pm outside our room. This was a challenge with younger kids. Also the teens took over the pool and waterside a bit. I felt like I was fending them off to keep them from trampling my kids. Maybe police this better in the future.Good fitness areas and restaurants. Quick poolside service.We plan to go back...
If you need to go relax for a few days, this resort is definitely great. Very clean and roomy rooms with a kitchen. Kids play area and water slide for kids and adults as well as decent food options. I wish they would have food option that cater to Europeans as well but it’s not a deal breaker. Tesla charger on site is a big plus.Palm Springs downtown is really awesome also and worth spending an evening there.
Rooms were clean and large enough and staff were really friendly. But the place is exceptionally overpriced for what it offers with respect to competition, such as JW Marriott, which is significantly more luxurious and well designed whereas Westins design is very dull.
The Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas, Great ExperienceThis hotel is a wonderful place to relax. The rooms are very comfortable, nicely decorated, equipped with everything necessary, but … there are couple of little issues. First – the bed is really hard. It is almost as though you sleep on the floor. Second – the bedding is so rough that it was almost scratching my skin. It is not of a bad quality, it is just not soft. Maybe we are spoiled… And third – little bags ( ants?) on a table by the phone. Lack of a decent place to eat is also disappointing, no room service. On a positive note – great swimming pool, not crowded golf course, complete atmosphere of serenity, extremely relaxed, beautiful. And a huge plus – absolutely wonderful shower! Seriously, when you are away from home, it is important to have a comfort you get used to. All these outdated rainforest showerheads are simply a manifestation of disrespect to guests, especially women. Thanks God this hotel has not only rainforest shower but also an adjustable flexible handheld showerhead. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Also – it is very reasonably priced. Very accommodating staff. Comfortable parking. Fast wi-fi. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
Second time staying here, and i knocked a star off the ranking as, and maybe naively, one night of our stay was over a holiday (Memorial Day) weekend. This was our last night, and having had three previous nights at the resort with peace, the last night was a bit louder. A quick call to the front desk, and security made contact with the noise offenders and all was fine afterwards. I would stay here again.
Had a great time visiting my friend here. Their room was beautiful and clean with a nice view of the little river/pond and BBQ area. There were cute little ducks to watch too :) We ordered delicious and healthy room service smoothies and they were delivered very quickly. It was super easy to find and I enjoyed that the security seemed very high quality. I would definitely stay here myself if I get the chance!
The resort was very nice and clean and very high end. Would definitely recommend. The resort was very spread out but the shuttle golf carts made it easy to get around. The restaurant was very nice and so was the pool. The villas were very nice. It is near a shopping plaza and the airport. As well as Joshua Tree national park. Would definitely 10/10 recommend this hotel for someone staying in Palm Springs.
Charged $20.00 per night for parking in the middle of the desert after charging holiday rates over $300.00 per night for logging. Jessica.the front desk manager just repeated what their policy was after talking to two people before her. 0 customer service!After telling me all about the amenities that were closed and the remodeling taking place I was left to fend for myself.The coffee pot didn’t work but was replaced and the door to do laundry fell of the hinges when opened .We won’t be back!
Nice clean place. The only issue was there was no elevator in the building I was in. You had to carry luggage up a few flights of stairs. This could be a problem for some people.
We have been staying at the Westin Villas for years - stayed for 3 nights this week and found many reasons not to return any time soon. The rooms and property are looking old and worn. Pool lounges and umbrellas ragged and torn, worst of all was the absence of ANY housecleaning for the 3 nights of our stay! Why does the hotel side have housecleaning but villas don’t? Why should guests pay full 5 star price at less than standard service? At least let your guests know in advance! With a family of 5 and friends visiting from other villas, our floors were filthy- not a broom or swifter in sight! Only 2 hour limits at the pool!! Crazy. Very disappointed in our experience
Beautiful property and immaculately kept rooms. They are spacious with all the amenities of home including a grill and fan on the back patio. You are surrounded by beautiful mountain views and a quiet environment.For entertainment, there is golf, 3 pools and really great restaurants. We had Seasons for breakfast that they delivered to the room.Whenever we called for a golf court ride they were always there in 5mins. Love this place. Would definitely come back!
I did not like the rooms. We have stayed here about 6 times, but this time the room seemed so run down. It smelled so musty and old. It was very hot that weekend and the front desk assured us that their ice machines don’t run out of ice, we went and they were all out of ice. On top of that the ice machine rooms smelled SO bad, and so dirty! There was roaches in the ice rooms. On both mornings we woke up and found roaches in the bathroom and one crawled into my friends shoe and when we put it on the bed it crawled out. We went out to dinner out first night, on our way back we couldn’t get an Uber or Lyft, we had to call my husband to try and help us get a taxi or something. There was a 2 hour wait for a taxi. We called the hotel to see if their shuttle would come pick us up and they said no; that they weren’t allowed to leave the premises. We had to walk over 2 miles in heels, at 11pm at night back to the hotel. Some streets didn’t even have a sidewalk so we were on the street. It was horrible! I understand that was their policy, but honestly we were so scared and did not feel safe at all. Our room had a little patio area so we went and bought drinks and snacks to go outside for a bit, turns out it was just a table with no chairs. We had called the front desk for more towels and no one ever came, we had to shower and use the dirty towels from the pool. I paid $887 for a 2 night stay at this hotel, it was NOT worth it all. We were so disappointed and will not be staying here at again.
Horrible I asked for a golf cart at 2 am when they have just picked up my friends and the employe said sorry I can’t. I told him I was really sick and couldn’t walk and he only said sorry. They have no medicine or transportation. Also, when I entered my room the safe was completely off the hinges and hit my friend. Horrible service would not recommend.
Beautiful, well maintained property considering its age! Although there are 1,000 (newer) different resort choices in the desert, the Westin Mission Hills Resort remains my favorite. The staff is incredible, there are free family amenities in abundance, and you can get golf cart shuttled all around 24/7. You also get access to the Villas side, where another large, family friendly pool is (with water slide). You also get 2 complimentary Welcome margaritas (non-alcoholic also available!) upon check in. Hot tip: see the concierge and get your welcome package! Lots of discounts for the spa, golf shop, and restaurants. Only negative I found is the front desk didnt even suggest seeing the concierge - some guy in the coffee shop told us when we mentioned we wanted a golf shirt! Otherwise, excellent property and I highly recommend it.
Stayed 2 weeks ago for the third and last time. Checked out after 2 nights of our 7 night stay due to cricket infestation in all 5 of our rooms. Counted 23 live yellow jackets in the pool. One of our rooms the AC would not get below 78 degrees. Another room toilet not working 2 days in a row. Another room washer not working. The upkeep has gone completely downhill. After complaining to management and nothing being done we checked out and went to another hotel.
We stayed in a 1 bed 1 bath villa near the pool. Great hotel. There wasn’t one piece of trash anywhere on the property. I have never stayed somewhere more groomed than this place. It’s like a giant Japanese sand garden perfectly raked. I sat on the patio and relaxed it was so peaceful. Pool were was amazing with a waterslide. They do a lot of kid friendly events. We saw the staff making s’mores with kids. Definitely family friendly.
So first of all, the restaurant is under renovation so theres no food available on site. Thats fine, forgivable. The worst part of the stay: the battery on my door lock died and it resulted in multiple trips back to the front desk and being locked out of my room for almost two hours. Ive had better service at La Quinta Inn.
The place is beautiful with all sorts of amenities and the most manicured landscape you can find. Friendliest staff and very decent rooms or apartments. Be careful when the concierge assigns a unit to you though.. They will try to fill up the most undesirable ones first with poorer views or smaller bathroom
The grounds are well kept and while the resort is not up to par with some of Palm Springs newer resorts, its still a beautiful place to walk through. Most of the staff is friendly. In fact the entire staff, with an exception to the bar staff at the pool, were terrific. I thought the room decor was a bit dated and the amenities in the room didnt go beyond coffee and free WiFi. We had a happy hour bite at Pizzinis where the drinks tasted good and the food was average or above average. Overall, we had a positive experience. The resort is centered around the golf and that seems to be the major draw. But if youre not playing golf, this might not be the vacation for you.
Decent resort. Nice view of the desert. Strong Mimosas, Spa (see other review) and iced towels at the pool. Freezing in rooms but that is a must. So bring a shawl for the inside. BEAUTIFUL grounds. Adult pool available. Shuttles avail so you dont have to walk in the heat.
A beautiful and very large Spanish style resort with hotel and timeshare areas. We stayed in a one-bedroom villa through our timeshare and it was awesome. It had a fireplace in the living room and in the bedroom and was very well appointed. Our bedroom had a king-size bed which was extremely comfortable and a jacuzzi tub in one corner of the room. The kitchen area was surprisingly large with a small area to sit and eat at the bar. The dining room had a table that would sit six to eight. The living room has a comfortable sofa and chair with two footstools which have the tops that can be flipped over to make small tables. The bathroom had double sinks and a generous shower area. There are only two floors and we were lucky enough to be on the ground floor with a large patio facing a lovely green area and a creek with a bridge and ducks walking around and swimming in the creek. A ceiling fan is above the table and chairs on the patio for your comfort outside during the warmer months along with a grill for those who want to barbecue. They have beautiful pools, fountains and many water features located around the resort grounds. At the Fireside Bar and Grill you can enjoy live music outside around the large fire pit or the various comfortable sitting areas provided. It was a pleasure to walk around and explore all the areas of this incredible place. They have an gym, recreation/game room, office/computer area, meeting, conference and event rooms. Youll also find a fine dining restaurant, a delightful cafe and a coffee shop. The back side of this resort faces a huge golf course and there are wonderful pathways for you to take walks and are lighted at night. The building you check-in for the timeshares has a pool table, two ping pong tables and corn hole game all located outside underneath a large viranda. All of the grounds, grasses, shrubs, flowering plants and trees are very well kept and clean. We will definitely be returning to this dream of a resort!!👍👍👍👍👍
This was our 14th year staying at the Villas after a 2 week Covid break. We were pleasantly surprised to see the new clean room renovations & upgrad ed TVs. Also the new freshly painted look to all the buildings. Property upgrades going on all the two weeks with new plantings. Friendly check in & so nice to be able to be in our requested building. Comfortable bed as always. USA Today paper delivered to our Villa every weekday. Cleaning once between the two weeks which we were aware of. No problem to get any requests when we asked. Not sure why the negative comments New pool furniture coming.We thought everything was for the better.
Nice small suite to stay. Bed was average. Kitchen was well equiped. Extremely expensive. Had 20 per cent surcharge for taxes and car parking. Covid restrictions were extreme, had to wear mask on property even outside. Most pool facilities were closed. No food on site anywhere. Better to stay elsewhere.
Never been to Palm Springs before. The weather is fantastic. SUN is the operative word, I believe I read 350+ days per year. It has started as cool mornings and gone to 90+ degrees, but not humid....so comfortable/enjoyable. The Weston Mission Hills Villas is a very nice condos community. The units are extremely nice and the grounds are beautiful and immaculately maintained. Staff were all great.
Worst place to stay, rude staff, the pool was extremely dirty, the rooms didn’t have cleaning service we stayed 4 nights i begged them to come clean my room they refused and said we don’t do if you stay 8 nights we do that, they didn’t bring towels and soap!!!!Trash all over the resort!!!
Everything is almost top notch, but ultimately everything is exactly that, not quite. The room had a gas fireplace that worked inconsistently. The toilet seat would only go up enough for me to be concerned that it would fall in the middle of using the toilet. Some of the outlets didnt appear to work. On the whole though the grounds were Immaculate and beautiful and the amenities where terrific. Its just too bad that a place that pays such close attention to detail on everything fall so short when it comes to the attention to detail of their rooms.
Stayed here for a few days after finding a great deal online. Nice resort but I wasnt aware that our deal came with a presentation during which they attempted to sell us a timeshare. Their sales tactics werent as aggressive as Ive seen before and they did give us a gift card for our time - which we were told would be 90 minutes but ended up wasting 2.5 hours. But even after saying we werent interested they asked us to meet with one final associate for some feedback but that was another attempted sales pitch rather than any meaningful feedback.The resort itself is nice enough. Kid friendly but only one kid pool and one slide. Rooms are well appointed but we saw a few ants in our kitchen which they couldnt really get rid of but they tried. Id recommend this place for a short weekend break if you can get a good deal.
Our daughters love staying here, fabulous service, accommodating staff and a wonderful environment to sun-lax. Super cool water slide, and children’s swim area, and pool side service is 👍🏻. We will definitely continue to stay here when we need a break from the coast. O’yeah the Villa’s are great for children
While the unit and pool were truly excellent, our neighbors next door were loud, boisterous and constantly using the F word!Why did this matter? We are not only senior citizens, but we had our 2 grandchildren for two nights ages 3.5 and 4.5. It is hardly the language we want to our grandchildren to use.Hence a three star rating was all I could honestly give the Westin complex.
Fun and relaxing stay at the villas. The hotel had excellent safety measures in place—appointments for pools so they don’t get too crowded, masks required in public areas, etc. Villa was beautiful, clean, comfortable and spacious. Will definitely return!
I love this place I found it about 5 years ago and I wont go anywhere else other than the Willows which is owned by the same company and has a similar setup in the rooms. I go there every year with a group of friends and it is just the best time ever they have 2 large pools with waterslides and poolside service. You can bring your own coolers with your own alcohol to save a little bit and drink all day long. The rooms are like you are at your own house full size kitchen granite countertops the beds are superior the rooms are spacious and nice with a balcony or patio. The larger rooms which I consider premium have a grill on them as well. The pricing for these places are generally very very reasonable on top of all this.
Here for a conference. Great rooms, villas were welcoming. Staff was friendly. My only complaint was the lack of sundries or some kind of snack station. The restaurant could have stayed open later also.
The rooms are very nice and has many activities to do. You can relax by the pool in your own private cabana, play ping pong or pool, or swim at the large pool area that has a waterslide. The only problem is that the pool water gets really warm because of the heat and many people go inside so whats worse is that a bunch of sweat and sunscreen is floating in the water too. Besides that, it is an excellent experience.
The room wasnt cleaned properly, they left a gooey brown spill on the ottoman. When we tried to call for service we found the phone was dirty and broken. I went to the front desk, the guy said they would send someone to fix it right away. While we were eating (a bad meal from the on site restaurant) someone came and brought water, and made the bed but did not clean the ottoman or repair the phone. That night the toilet ran every 30 minutes or so. Every time it ran it screamed like a wounded peacock, not good for sleeping. I had to shut off the water to make it stop, luckily it didnt leak.In the morning I went back to the front desk. I spoke to a different person who wasnt interested in the picture of the spill on the ottoman. She said she would send someone in 90 minutes. Someone showed up in 30 minutes while we were getting ready for dinner. I said dont come in we are not wearing any clothes, 5 seconds later they opened the door, luckily the chain stopped them from coming in. They did not come back and fix the toilet or the phone or clean the sticky brown spill.The ducks begging at the dinner table was adorable. paying $30 for a cauliflower steak that was a whole unseasoned head of cauliflower on a bed of unseasoned bulgar (menu said pilaf) was not. Luckily my mascapone was good.The grounds are nice but not $38 per night resort fee nice. The big pool with the slide was over run with loud bad music and screaming kids. The mini golf was a scale version of a golf course, the only obstacle in its 200 square feet being a sand trap. The bowling alley and arcade were closed. The fireside lounge was closed. The only remaining restaurant served crab that tasted like it came from a tuna can and was only open Friday night thru Sunday morning. The wait staff was very nice though and the complimentary rejuvination juice was delicious. Fortunately our room overlooked the quiet adult pool, which was clean, saline and most importantly quiet.The room was large and adequate, not 4 star but ok. The bed they bragged about was made with sheets that didnt fit and were misapplied over a good mattress with about 10 of down pillow top. Essentially it was like being tangled in sheets while rolling around in warm mud.We had a few choices for our stay. We chose the Westin because we have always had good experiences with their hotels. They cost a little more but for us it is worth it. This was bad.
We made a reservation for three nights, and we requested 1st floor with garden view. Upon our arrival not only they gave us a room on the 2nd floor without a view, they also made us wait for 2 hours. I’m beyond disappointed and upset at a lock of service. The staffs only responds was “I’m sorry” also it got worse, the restaurant’s are closed, and so is the large pool. The staff also related that the pool needs reservation fallowed up with multiple unnecessary restrictions. I wish I never came here nor would I ever come back.
I like how they have a washer and dryer in each suite. Also the spa is amazing! The pools are a great to chill and relax. They have water available at every pool side. Its a great getaway for a mini vacay.
Not clean. Conference room restrooms werent cleaned or serviced Sunday after all day Saturday Irish dance competition. Had to tell management trash overflowing onto floor, there were no paper towels, select stalls had toilet paper and seat covers. Told management this back in August 2021 after same competition. Obviously management just doesnt care.
No shuttles at the resort, had to walk 20 minutes to the next resort for a shuttle to coachella/stage coach. They didnt say this in the description lol & the receptionists are so mean :( and get annoyed at simple questions
We stayed at the Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas in August. The location was perfect for a relaxing weekend. I never take my wedding ring off but due to the heat and swelling fingers I had removed it at night and we left early the next morning. I immediately knew where I had left it, in a glass cup in the bathroom. I panicked and was in complete disarray. I called and the head of security Ryan Ramsey who quickly located it and called me back letting me know that it was safe. The honesty, integrity, and care from Ryan was above and beyond. I am so blessed for everything he did to get the ring back as it is the most sentimental thing I own. Thank You so much for going above and beyond! Beyond grateful.
Been owners for 15 yrs, love the large size villas, the grounds, sparkling pools. Happy with upgraded furniture & appliances, very clean units. November great time for walks/runs in cooler weather, no crowds!
Great hotel. I stayed in the Villas and had a one bedroom suite. It came with a fully equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer and two fireplaces. It was very spacious. There was a huge patio. The only thing is the bathtub is in the bedroom.
Comfortable rooms/villas. Quiet. Separated now physically from the Westin Hotel next door. Limited dining options on site. No breakfast. Pools well maintained.
Nice rooms and friendly staff. Checkout is earlier than expected. The seasons grill wasnt bad but a little over priced. Parking isnt great, though. I always had to park far down from my room. Be careful driving around the entrance gate, people dont slow down near it because it comes out of nowhere
Stunning hotel, our room was amazing, we had a ground floor patio with a lemon tree outside. The pools were fantastic and had no complaints. Very clean and the rooms are beautiful as well as the grounds.
Nice rooms. Love the multi-room layout. Didnt know it was timeshare setup with no maid service - but was fine. Good location. Only negative was the parking. Typically had to park a ways from the room.
Golf course is fantastic. Greens are a little slow, but role pretty good. Didnt stay at the resort, but friends did away the same time and they loved it. Pool looked awesome. Restaurant was delicious.
We both love going to the Westin in Palm Springs so much that we go back every year in September to celebrate our anniversary. The rooms are great; so comfy and cozy! Having a studio type room with a kitchen and a separate living area with its own television is a must when you are traveling with two children! We can have our space in a separate bedroom when they are free to set up to play video games or watch movies. Having a kitchen in the room always saves us so much money by eating in for breakfast and lunch.
My husband and I had a lovely and relaxing time here. Our one bedroom was spacious with gas fireplaces and a well-stocked kitchen. You also have access to the pools and facilities on the resort side.
Great place to come and chill!!! My entire family comes every July 4th holiday and we take up a dozen rooms!! The facility is always clean - and thats a tough time to keep rooms and premises clean - upscale and full of amenities! The staff is VERY friendly and eagerly helpful!! The parking is easy and navigating around is effortless. I even love that wr have access to the amenities of the hotel next door. Wr always look forward to going to the Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas!!
We were visiting guests of friends staying at the MH Villas. The pool water was very murky and dirty looking. The security guards at each entrance of the pools are way to invasive. We were wet and walking to the room and security made us walk out without our towel. I stayed at the Desert Willow Villas (10 minutes away) and they are 10x better. The facility is much more accommodating, clean/better taken care of and the staff is much more friendly and make sure youre having a great time.
Multiple pools available and slides were fun. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Premium villa was large and well equiped but not so clean. I found several dead and alive bugs and coffee machine and kettle were dirty.
This place is fantastic. The Villa pool has tons of room and the water slide was a hit with our kids. The pool service and restaurant are great as well. The room was very nice and well kept, we will definitely be back.
Oustanding resort. Stayed there for 10 days and could have not been happier with every aspect of our stay. Stunning location, HOT!, great pool, amenities, apartment and all of the service from ALL staff was exceptional. It will certainly not be the last time I will be back there. I would recommend this to anyone.
I usually love this place but I was very disappointed in the way they are managing their pools during Covid. You sign up for 2 hour increments per day, Ive been to the other Westin property in the Desert as well as Marriott Shadow Ridge and they are managing their pools safety and much more effectively. Who goes to the desert to spend 2 hours in the pool.....
We went here for a supposedly being drawn to try a new Westin location. It turns out that the Westin has gone into time share industry. We were told numerous times that we wouldnt be asked to attend any sales thing, we got numerous calls and requests to do just that. We were also told that we were not allowed to use our floats, but could RENT their floats. Finally house keeping was an additional cost that we were not told about. It wasnt until we reviewed written materials in the room that we were made aware that any new sheets or towels were an extra cost that would be billed at the end of our stay. The rooms were clean and the location was well kept. However, wed never stay there again.
Pretty poor service. Room and bed was not made upon check-in. Paid parking is in the baking hot sun. Room only had amenities for one guest despite signing up multiple guests. Ive been in motels with better upkeep and service
I just checked in but I got put in a downgraded room even after confirming at the front desk the room type, and Im not thrilled. I will update if the stay earns any extra stars but this is a really bad start... 🤷🏻♀️ edit: The patio is filthy and the cable TV doesnt work so thats great as well.
The hotel villas are a nice choice if you are looking to have some additional room for kids, a nice water slide to keep them occupied and a more quiet relaxed pool scene than the hotel next door. The service here was really impressive. In fact, I left something in the room, called lost and found and Jonathan was exceptionally helpful, promptly mailing out my property the next day (thank you Jonathan). I will likely return here vs the Marriott Shadow Ridge or Marriott Desert Spring options.
I give this place 5 stars with the caveat that if you expect to feel great by the staff, its not 5 stars. The condo is ideal for people looking to vacation and need a full apartment with kitchen, bedroom, patio and W/D. The entire property is well taken care of and looks great. The only downer is that the staff isnt trained for a 5 star feeling (or even 3 for that matter), but it reflects in the price. So take it for what it is and enjoy.
Very nice facilities our room was fresh, and clean and very comfortable as well as maintained. The location is quiet with little environmental noise. Additionally staff are cordial and helpful.

Amazing time. The grounds of this Hotel & Villas are beautiful. Pools are lovely & well maintained . We had a perfectly fun family and friend gathering and had several rooms and condos. All the rooms and condos were wonderfully maintained and clean. Its beautiful here.
I love the grounds and Pizimini resturant but the rooms are looking weathered and are in dire need of renovation. I do appreciate the clean fitness center and various activities they have for kids. There is an arcade next to the business center. The employees are friendly as well.
First time there I was surprised I had to pay for parking each night my villa was nice but while cooking I found a cockroach in the kitchen so I went to complain about it and they told me that if I was to cancel my stay they will still charge me for 1 night and I was there for only an hr or so . I ask what can they do for me since I pay good amount of money for each night and I was told y manager Jessica that the only think that cando was moved me to another villa or spray mine since I had no choice because I was not going to pay again to another resort I chose to moved to another villa and was smallest and and was not clean at all .. I won’t ever stay there if one villa has roach that means all of them do . Staff did not offer any accommodation they said that’s property rules .. never again would book here plus there is nothing to do in the resort with only one pool only not worth the price.. please check your villa and specially the kitchen before you start cook is gross that you are cooking with roaches

Walking away with sour experience. Front desk staff was extremely disrespectful in specific the manager Alejandra true unprofessional. We’ve been vacationing with our children every summer for many years and sadly we will never come back.
There was a little lag time between needing maintenance in the middle of the night and when they showed up. Otherwise the room was great. Pool service was great. Love how all villas have easy access to the pool.
Absolutely gorgeous grounds and staff! Everyone was incredibly helpful! There are THREE pools and an on site bowling alley along with VERY comfy rooms, not a single negative here!
We visit friends who own a timeshare here about twice a year, and it is always a beautiful place to enjoy grilling and swimming with our families. Cool things include the in-pool volleyball net and the jacuzzi that sits at the base of the water slide.
We keep flipping between Desert Willows Westin and Mission Hills, but this time being by a quieter pool, we completely enjoyed our stay. Wonderful locations along the golf course with a choice of pools to hang out at or walk to the hotel side for more choices in restaurants. Love the Westins!
We had a reservation to stay at this hotel and due to a family issue we had to cancel. We cancelled a week before our stay. We were then charged a no show fee. When we called the hotel they had said yes we see your cancellation but apparently we somehow double booked you and you were charged for the other no show. When we explained to the hotel manager that we had no knowledge of this other booking and asked to be refunded, they claimed it could take weeks to receive our money back not to mention they were less then apologetic regarding their screw up. Wouldn’t recommend here unless you want to pay up even if you cancel ahaead of time!
Disorganized reception; our rooms were ready an hour later than promised, well after official check-in time. Paper-thin walls. I could hear every word and cough of the person in the next room.
This place is great! The amenities are worth the stay itself. The service and staff are friendly and very welcoming. The resort is close everything you want or need, even though you dont need to leave the resort.
Spending 5 days at the Villas. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Several pools to choose from, walking paths, several restaurants, and many activities. Villa room is very comfortable and quiet. Staff here are extremely customer oriented, friendly & helpful.
The stay here can be summarized as ....MEH. staying here for 3 nights, 4 days. Spring break stay with two young children. Have previosuly stayed at other family resorts such as the omni hotel nearby with the water park. The grounds here are well maintained and the rooms are nice with great use of materials such as wood, tiles, etc. The kitchen and appliances including the washer and dryer in each room is extremely convenient. Most of the rooms here have a bbq grill in the patio. However our room did not have one. The room we had an unusual shape to it. Overall clean, and modern rooms. What brings the experience down is the staff. Most seem like they dont want to be here. Not sure whether it is a morale issue but very few employees have been kind or welcoming. Some have even been a bit rude. Just the overall vibe here is Meh. Would I bring my family back here? Maybe. Will finish out the trip here and see how it turns out.

The rooms seem a little outdated, but the golf courses are great! There are a lot of activities to do within the resort, and the pools are enjoyable. Food and beverage prices are a bit high.

Got there at 3:20 was told they room will be ready in a few minutes, check back at 3:58 and was told check in is not until 4pm and they would let me know when my room is ready. At 4:28 they let me know my room was ready. Front desk was very rude. Told him I will never stay here again he responded thats ok.
The rooms are clean and roomy with many things for the kids to do but this location can get very windy and sand blows around badly at times. Also there is not enough parking and you may have to walk a long ways to your room. I you have an electric car you must park all the way over at the hotel and have a golf cart take you to and from your room.
It is a beauty. But it seemed like no workers could offer info about the surroundings. That was kind of annoying. Nice pools and golf course. Great bathroom in the villa! Wanted to take that on the plane with me lol
Pros: The rooms were spacious, pools good & grounds clean! Cons: Ants were all over the kitchen & bathroom! We called as soon as we arrived & there was no apology, just when would you like them to spray. The following day 2 guys showed up late. Ants were still present afterwards, they brought a can of spray & it didn’t work. Gross, got into our cereal & toiletries! Furthermore, we asked for a Crib when we booked the reservation online & I also called to confirm weeks before arrival. There was no crib when we arrived, we had to call again! Sink has scratches, sheets had marks at the edge & freezer wasn’t cleaned (someone’s leftover frozen drink). Expected more from the Westin!
Absolutely a gem in Rancho Mirage. Two impressive golf courses on site. Gary Player and Pete Dye. Wonderful walking trails and impressive pools and fitness centers. BBQ pits all over the campus. Loved our stay there, and will return for sure.
Big rooms, full kitchen, fireplace in both bedroom and living area. Lots of space to spread out. Great for kids. Golf is discounted after 4pm. Clean. 4 pools!
Recently, some girlfriends and I stayed at the Villas for a girls birthday weekend and I must say it was a blast! The rooms are very nice and they even have their own kitchen! They also have a nice pool and the food is very good. Try the lettuce wraps and chicken quesadillas! Yum :)I also want to say I accidently left a brand new dress in the closet when we checked out. Within a couple of days it was found and the next day shipped complimentary! Jon Hanna the security was very kind, helpful and very efficient. Once I spoke to Jasmine, the manager on duty, to follow up on my dress, she took it very seriously. She was very kind and very helpful. Within 10 minutes she solved the mystery. Lol Both she and Jon were an amazing team. I very much appreciate how thourough they were. They made my day! The Villas are not only outstanding and fun, they are trustworthy! Thank you to the whole Villa team including housekeeping for bringing my dress to lost and found. You are all amazing! I highly recommend the Villas. 💛
Great family destination. There were three families in our group with kids from 5 months to 5 years old. Perfect spot although the buildings are a little dated and the restaurants could cook better food.
High end Westin vacation resort in Rancho Mirage(Palm Springs). Great for kids. Very kid friendly water slide and activities. The only Westin vacation villas that we have stayed at that actually has gas barbecues on the patios of each unit. Very cool!
It is a great resort for family. Friendly and helpful staff. There is a shuttle to take you from The villa side to the hotel side. The Spa was pricey, but the service was great! You pay for the all day access.
This review is for the Villas. Its the time share part of the resort. The customer service is horrible, and the managers there appear to have little to no education. I say this because had they earned degree in college I dont think theyd be as low down and dirty as they were with me, and I also think theyd be better prepared for early check in.I requested an early check in when I placed my reservation 3 weeks before my arrival. I came there with my family, as a pro member with the SPG hotels and resorts. When I arrived to check in, I was told by a Latino lady at the front desk that she had no rooms, so I asked to speak with the manager, the lady didnt respond so I asked again, there was anther fellow at the desk who said he was the manager. I waited for him to finish up with the customer he was helping so I could be helped. This guys name is Vincent. He showed me where the rooms he had available were on a map. I asked hm if he could tell me what rooms would be available after check out and he said he had no way of knowing that (which made no sense). So I waited to see what he had available. I had originally requested a downstairs reservation but the rooms he had available were both upstairs. This was a Thursday morning. I felt like I had no choice so I chose the room closest to the pool for my kids convenience. So he checked me in but wrote a note under my reservation that said do not move, rooms are full. He was so fake trying to be polite but I saw right through it, I knew he was doing something evil. When I got into the room the kitchen garbage was full of trash, no one had emptied it. I called down to have someone come empty it and also to request a few things from the express customer service. I could tell by the ladys silence on the other end of the line, that she was reading something which surprised her. So I said waited a little bit and then to break the silence said hello mam are you there and she said yes, Im sorry I was just looking for something She took my request and about an hour after, someone came to empty the garbage. A lady from housekeeping also came by and apologized and asked if I needed anything, I said yes more towels, said shed have them come right up, no one came with towels. The next evening it was extremely hot and I called up to the front desk to see if there were any rooms we could switch to on the ground floor. When the manager answered I first asked him if there was some sort of note on my reservation. He looked at my room reservation and said, yes youre right, there is a note here written by Vincent that says, Do not move, rooms are full I asked the manager what would be the need to write something like that, thats telling everyone that I speak with to give me that message. If the rooms are full there is no need to write a note. I was therefore being discriminated against. This was crazy to me especially with me being a Pro Member of SPG. Just crazy! Vincent thought he was slick. So that particular manager who I was speaking with did a search for the rooms and told me that there was nothing available that was better than what I already had because it was now the weekend. So I made the best of the trip and enjoyed everything Palm Springs had to offer. The room and the price I paid compared to the service I received was highway robbery. But I still refused to let this destroy our vacation. Upon check out I waited for my turn in line, Vincent was there helping a lady who was looking to check in, he would have to wait an hour or so for a room, or take something they had available right away, Vincent gave her room numbers of rooms that were presently available and rooms that would be available at check out, she chose a room that would be available after check out. Ill wait for 4022 is what she stated. WHAT?Vincent said he had no idea of knowing what rooms would be available, when I checked in. What a liar. So Im notifying corporate and writing reviews on this resort to inform people of my horrible experience staying here. Dont buy a timeshare and dont stay.
Just arrived looks great so far
The villas are great. Full kitchen etc (though slim pickings on the kitchen items like knives pots pans etc). Right next to gigantic heated pool. Kids love it. I’ve played the pete dye course also - super picturesque- mountain vistas in every direction. Definitely the easiest Pete dye course I’ve seen - great for resort folks though. Super happy with this place for whole family. First trip to Palm Springs area also - kind of a weird urban sprawl thing going on here - definitely a snow bird/retiree place - which we knew. But still a cool break from Boston. Love the resort but might go back to Scottsdale/Sedona next year - this is an oddball town with not a lot of character aside from famous Hollywood ties - all shopping is big box standard issue - nothing unique. Again - aside from the views that is - stunning!!!! Oh the hiking options are awesome- but same in scotttsdale and way better north in Sedona.
The Westin Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage has gone through a $15 plus million remodelling of the hotel and grounds.Sculpture is in the courtyard as you enter. Beautiful from all angles.In the Backyard they will be having outdoor concerts on a regular basis.
Not only is this facility our families favorite Westin location, but the accommodations and amenities are simply phenomenal. The live music poolside gives you that tropical vacation feel. We love those guys! The management staff, specifically Melissa Pendleton, the Front Office Manager was nothing less than exceptional. After booking through a 3rd party was a total snafu she was able to rectify the fiasco. We have been coming here for 10 years and will continue to make this our staycation destination! Its was all about having a wonderful time, and that is exactly what we did for the whole week, relax and rest, just dont get sun burn like me lol but besides that I loved it.
Excellent place. Very comfortable, clean and good service. Villas have everything you need to spend the week, including washer and dryer, cooking utensils, etc. They thought of all the details!
Property is ok...normally stay at a Marriott property. You can definitely tell the difference. Check in was smooth though the front desk host played up the room which was a red flag....it was the worst building in the complex. Above housekeeping homebase and next to model villas. Room had limited natural light though was clean. Bathroom had NO toilet paper. Balcony was pointless. Refrigerator Icemaker was barely function so I called for ice since property does not have community icemakers. Room service wanted $10 to deliver some. Community grills had issues with ignitors and timer valves to turn on the gas. Definitely not a Marriott experience. Most likely will not return. If you go...stay away from building 30.
Pool area is very nice along with the service very pleased their overall Resort has dated needs a facelift but thats the reason for the three star. Picture below is of mama duck and her babies who decided to jump in the pool at about 4:30 p.m. this past weekend

Very nice and quiet resort. The pool was clean and there are plenty of pool chairs. The food delivery to the pool was nice. Rooms are comfortable and a good size.
I was just here for a couple of hours last night and decided to leave after they handled an issue unprofessionally with no proper communication and hospitality. The supervisor last night didn’t belong in the hospitality industry!My family and I were invited for a conference over the weekend by friends and they insisted that this is pet-friendly. They said this because they saw several guests with dogs in the area. I was hesitant to stay at this place because I already had a hotel booked on my own. They insisted because the conference was at the hotel and they wanted to handle our “Hotel/Villa Stay.”We were ready to get to bed at 11:30pm last night when we heard a loud knock on the door. We were told that “several” complaints were made because our dogs were barking loudly. We have a Japanese Chin and Maltipoo. And they don’t allow dogs in the vicinity.If there were a pet policy for this place, 1. We were not Informed when we checked in. 2. Why wait until the middle of the night to inform us that we need to leave?The supervisor, Steven, was trying so hard to contain himself when I talked to him. He couldn’t even shake my hand or look me in the eye. I understand that there are owners of these villas. I also understand after looking at their website that they only allow service dogs. What I don’t understand is the lack of professionalism and hospitality when we were told that we “needed to leave at close to midnight.” He had another staff member with him who was shaking his head and smirking the whole time I was explaining the situation to Steven. So rude and unprofessional.They didn’t even introduce who they were until I asked for names and business cards. No offer to stay at their nearby Westin Hotel for additional fees. He had a rough time answering me when I said, if we were to take our dogs somewhere and I don’t know where as it was close to midnight in the desert, would it be alright to stay. No other offer to help us in anyway. It felt like we were intruders and NOT guests being ushered away — like we never even paid for our stay!Imagine, re-packing after unpacking, getting the clothes from the washer (we were doing laundry), changing to regular clothes from Pajamas! Both staff members waited outside until we left with no other word! No apologies for miscommunications. They looked like they never belonged in the service industry! They looked like guards ushering you out because you did the worst thing.I travel extensively for work and stay at hotels and villas almost every week. This didn’t feel like a hospitality service. This is by far, the worst customer service I have ever experienced.I hope they don’t treat everyone like this! It was the worst “hospitality” experience I’ve ever had!NEVER WILL I STAY AT WESTIN VILLAS AGAIN!
Awesome place the beds here are phenomenal and lots of space in your room also the staff here go out of their way to help you out it is very clean the pools are awesome and they have a lot of them they have a couple of restaurants on property and a couple of bars definite muststash
I have visit several resorts over time, but I can truly say this is one of the best resorts. The entire staff is friendly, they cared about my needs, room was clean, transportation was provide to get from point A to point B, etc.
Villas are reasonably priced, in good condition, and the pools and water slide were perfect for our kids. Service was friendly and efficient, and the location is near Costco, Walmart, and the super market so it makes for a nice staycation get away for socal residents.
Needs some upkeep. Front door wouldnt close. Floor lamp wire had been cut and twisted together...window over the sink doesnt seal and with the strong winds yesterday sand all over the counter...I could do on...
With Covid-19 it is hard to love the place. Bar and restaurant are closed. Its nice to feel like you have the place to yourself as you see few people. Maybe 3 families at the pool. Nice grounds.
Titanium Elite Bonvoy members. Was NOT informed that absolutely NO food available on property!!!!!!! Slide not open. Must have a designated pool time. None of these things work well with young kids.
We had a amazing time! Staff is excellent!Britney at the pool has a amazing attitude and showed us a great time...even 120 degree weather! Cant wait to go back!

U guys need some sort of store to buy food Nd drinks before 11am.. earlier pool swrvice.. restuarant or something should be open earlier.... small rooms are pretty tight..

Me and my wife were stayed here for the weekend and this review especially is about the program for vacation rentals, there was a old italian rude guy who was forcing us to buy the vacation home, no paper work was given to us explaining the benefits and when we said we need explaination of benefits about vacation home, he said why dont make decsions of 30k on the fly, the guy was so rude that he said why did we waste his time . shame on the management of westin !!!! we would never stay at this place again and discourage others to stay here ..
Would absolutely stay here again. Great property, excellent staff and the 2 bedroom villas are perfect for up to 4 couple as there are 2 pull out sofa beds.
This is a beautiful place but only if you get the right room. The east pool was under construction feb 2019 so dont stay anywhere near there. The rest of the place was lovely.
The suites were very nice. Only problem was the comfort level of the pull out beds.
This is our family go to place to relax for the weekend and get away from craziness in LA. Love the pool and the slides they have pool table and ping pong which is fun for the whole family

Hotel portion my room is in is OLD - had to call front desk to activate the air conditioning. Cleaning in this wing is clearly NOT a priority. Found corner yuck and plant stuff in the corners of my room. Toilet paper trailing into the courtyard from the room across the hall. Am I in druggieville?? Not impressed at all
The heart and soul of a resort are its representatives....here we have so many people who genuinely are invested in assuring the guests have the best experience possible..my husband and I are long time owners and the quality of frhe employees shows the effort was worth it..
Our second day at the Weston Mission Hills and we love it here so far! My only complaint thus far is that it can be a bit difficult to find your way around, especially at night. Otherwise all the staff is friendly and the grounds are beautifully kept!

Beautiful and well kept. Not far from shopping and activities. Great staff and services. Working microwave, stovetop and refrigerator in small one bedroom. No room service for non cooking individuals.

2023-11-29 18:35:17The Queen size bed is actually not a queen size mattress. Normally we can fit my wife, 6 month old son, and I on a queen size mattress. Unfortunately, this mattress is a Full and mislabeled as a queen causing myself to sleep on the couch. The mattress is extremely uncomfortable and worn out sinking in on the head position as if they already rotated the mattress. Sheets can definitely use some fabric softener along with the towels.The room has stains, spider webs, and markings on the walls. I found a dead spider found on the floor outside the bathtub shriveled up in a corner. On the bathroom wall was a brown marking of something spilled or splattered. Located by the front door closet was spider webs on the corner of the wall.We contemplated on going home last night due to how uncomfortable our stay has been. Unfortunately we have a viewing to attend on Thursday so it would make no sense. With that being said we are leaving after the viewing and wont be returning to this property, forfeiting our last night.I contacted the front desk and asked for a different room, they informed me I was here on a promotion and unable to accommodated. I informed them I am Vistana member and wanted to utilize points to upgrade my room. At this point in time her attitude towards me changed she began looking up availability. I am extremely disappointed in this establishment. I will not be recommending this property to any of my friends or family.

2023-07-29 16:23:12My trips to Westin Mission Hills Resort Villas in Rancho Mirage have been exceptional! Bethany at the front desk is amazingly kind, caring, accommodating, and tremendously helpful! The villas, themselves, the pool, and other amenities are luxurious, with gorgeous views (they’re also so much fun)! The staff (especially Bethany - I have to mention her twice) are friendly, generous, wonderful, and they made the whole experience 100 times better than it already was (which was incredible)! The prices are spectacular, by the way! I stayed at the villas this summer, as well as last summer, and I’d like to make it a summer tradition!

2023-08-18 18:42:49The room and stay was good. Where I was disappointed was checking out. Check out is at 11 and as a member with status if available you get until 1pm. I was advised it was okay to check out at 1pm. The day of checking out they called the room twice and knocked on our door 6 times started at 830am until we literally left, there was staff waiting our room waiting for us to leave. I had never experienced this with any mariott property anywhere in the world. Extremely disappointed especially when you have children that wake up when they knock and scream housekeeping. I hope this was a one time issue and they really needed the room even though front desk stated they had low occupancy and amenities around the property will close early due to the low occupancy. I will personally never stay in this property due to the way I was treated at check out. Gathering our things and they continued to knock, a different person every time. It was not only annoying but not necessary if they communicated with each other. Very upset and disappointed.

Although there is a notice that grasshoppers enter rooms to escape heat, I wasnt expecting to find grasshoppers already in the room before I settled in as well as a dead grasshopper in the trash. There were other random bugs in the room too. Felt like I was in Costa Rica. The tub was old and dirty and there were random hairs that werent mine in the room. Also, I requested a room on the quiet side of the property and I was placed in a room just feet away from a major street. Just not what I would have expected from Westin.

2023-10-11 15:16:03I am disabled and they put me in a villa without an elevator. I was told that was all they had available because they were full. So I was basically trapped in my room because going up and downstairs was dangerous and difficult. We had reservations in a villa with an elevator but they gave it away even though we arrived early on a Friday. The concierges are worthless, Sherry only cared about going home to her dog, and a dark haired man just wrote down a website. We had rats, roaches,ants and crickets in our unit. The fitness center is a joke, I am supposed to exercise to help with my disability and I couldn’t. The food at Aloes is disgusting. I tried to go to the pool to exercise but I won’t go in water contaminated by duck feces. Also I witnessed adult male and female strip naked in front of children to change into clothes. I believe that is illegal. Avoid this property at all costs. I am a Chairman level in Bonvoy so I have plenty of experience with these properties. If you want to have a safe and enjoyable experience DO NOT go here!

2023-07-07 23:42:13The grounds were nicely kept and the Villas were a nice size and beautifully decorated/furnished.BUT... the limited parking was an issue. You had to seriously consider if you really wanted or needed to leave the grounds because you might find yourself without a parking spot when you returned. Or you could be walking quite a distance in the heat.Rented a cabana at the pool one day, thought it would be nice for the family. Although it had seating, a TV and a refrigerator, this was unlike any cabana Id ever seen; it was actually more like a cave. It was a literal hole in the wall with no cross ventilation or charm, just 3 walls of white stucco...ugly!

2023-10-11 06:10:18Situated next to Mission Hills Championship golf course. This place had all the amenities we needed. Rooms were spacious, and the crew here were very friendly and helpful. A short drive to both Palm Springs, Palm Desert and Coachella. We will definitely come back.

2023-06-21 23:59:59Positive: This hotel was nice, clean, and friendly. Negative: While we were there for only 3 nights we were located near the smaller pool upon request. Unfortunately the pool was unusable for 5 hours one day and 3 hours another. Makes it hard with a little kid in toe and that is why you are there.
