Great cocktails which werent weak like other bars. The bartender was friendly and helpful. The blue cheese burger is great especially paired with the duck fat fries. The bar has a nice modern design.
Its very nice to see people out and about again. Whether You drive by, walk by its all the same feelings of comfort. Life back to normal at least for the moment. Great drinks relaxed atmosphere and some delicious entrees. The staff is smiling and eager to serve, which is always a plus when your trying to have a good time. Its awesome to see a customer get served equally to everyone, dusty from work, casual, or dressed to impress, you will feel welcomed here. Oops your drink didnt taste right just tell the staff and theyll fix it for you. Stop in for a quick bite to eat or a relaxing drink to take the load off. Enjoy. Keep up the great service staff and thank you for making a dusty hard working customer feel accepted.

What happened to the food at this place?!! The hamburger meat taste horrible. The fries were soggy. Ugh food was just so disappointing. The mac n cheese was good but not great. The drinks were the only reason we stayed. The bartender knows how to make a good drink.
Took my girlfriend here and the food was not good. Burger was undercooked, bread and fries were soggy. Really disappointing meal.

This is a great social meeting place. Loved it! Great interior decor and setting. Joe, behind the counter was a wonderful host. He knows his beverage products very well. Their stock wine and beer selections are quite impressive. I will certainly be coming back again next time I am in Tracy.5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The bar menu is unmatched for this area, very well made drinks and service. The atmosphere is sophisticated and welcoming.The food is good to snack on, you want to eat a little something before you go to this establishment though.
My go-to spot when out of towners come to visit. The menu is fairly small but the choices are always great. Good selection of shared plates and the food always tastes great. Service is usually great as well. Havent consistently had the best service with large groups though.
Tried The Commons for the first time during my visit to Tracy. Everything was great, and the staff was all very attentive. We had the blistered carrots, and the yogurt sauce was amazing! The uncommon potato and beef tacos were the perfect accompaniment. Ill definitely be back!
THE most unique Gastropub in maybe Northern California and beyond. Johnnie Oh has put together a very enjoyable experience. With unique food, great atmosphere, great service and by far the BEST BAR selections only to be found in San Francisco!!! Highly recommend!!!
Lively environment coupled with well made drinks and custom entrees make the Commons a great destination. They have found a great balance between comfort and high end cuisine. Bring a little bit of curiosity and your appetite and enjoy!
This place is great. I was in town for work so I went alone and was welcomed at the bar by James the bartender who introduced himself. Not many bartenders do that. They offer craft cocktails and I enjoyed watching a sazarac made with care....flame warmed orange peal. I ordered the Blue Bag burger which James suggested and it was ridiculous. House ground short rib....craft again. This place is true gastro pub.
Very cheap but the food was very common taste...I wouldnt say it was bad nor good. It didnt have a special or specific taste that will push it to be call it own. I will return to the stablizement due to it price and service. The server was very nice and intensive.

The Commons is great. A downtown Tracy staple. Best burgers (gourmet) in town and best fries, duck fat.... really good small plates especially if you are looking for non meat items.
Its rare I give a 5 star, but it was close. Good has great flavor and the dishes are unique. Drink was perfect and waitress was very nice. 👍
My bestie had never been in to The Commons so we decided to have dinner there. The menu has changed since the last time I was here so I was really excited to try something new. We ordered the Uncommon Potato, Burrata, and the chicken tacos.The potato came out first and it was delicious! Its a baked potato with a spicy chipotle sauce. The burrata came with grilled bread and a yummy salsa verde. I think we were conservative with the cheese so we had to order more grilled bread for $1 more. I thought the tacos were good. I think theyre more of an Asian fusion. The chicken itself was flavorful, and went well with the hot sauce that was in the taco. The dish came with three tacos.We ordered the only desert on the menu which was grilled bread with a chocolate spread and a marshmallow cream. I dont even like marshmallows but I loved it in the dessert! And it wasnt heavy and overly sweet. I thought it was a unique dish.The staff were really friendly, especially the hostess who helped me out with my crutches. I think The Commons has got their groove and I look forward to dining here in the future.
Best place in Town!!! Everything is great, food and staff. Staff very knowledgeable of what drinks pair best with what you order to eat. Service is always great. Cant say enough good things about The Commons.
Being a korean american, I had to try the taco plate with the gochujang sauce. The sauce is basically a spicy naengmyun sauce if you have had that before. It went well with the korean style chicken and the lettuce. I was pleaseantly surprised with the ambiance coming from the bay area and now residing at a place where the city felt dead as far as food options, nightlife but this place turned it around for me. The only reason why i did not give 5 stars is because of the acoustics inside. It is so loud that you cannot hear the person across from you or next to you because the music is loud and the ppl are screaming at each other trying to carry on a conversation. I would go back but maybe when it isnt so packed with ppl to really enjoy it
Food was really good. I went on a wednesday evening for dinner so it was quiet and enjoyable. Few outdoor seats, bar, friendly table service, good food, clean bathroom, small place, do recommend!
Really overpriced for the quality of food. Crazy wait for food/drinks and the place was only half full. Lots of better restaurants within walking distance.
Serves was horrible they took forever to bring us are drinks,as with the food on top of the the wings are gross dont order them I got to give it to them there burger was on point mint mint not be worth wait for it because you do wait for a long time for some little food as some as your drinks with it didnt not made much sense waiting so long for the drinks went the bar wasnt the busy 😞👎

2017-09-24 03:54:41This place is a needle in a hay stack. Fancy big city style restaurant in a small country city. Food was great. Loved it! Drinks were prime and the staff was quite hospitable. I enjoyed the family style table in the back as we got to chat with our neighbors and test out their food as well. All in all this is must.

2022-01-16 00:41:19A great take on farm to fresh they do a fantastic job. The staff was very attentive and everybody in the restaurant seem to be happy and have a very good time. We just have appetizers and drinks but all was very good great to look in the beers and the bartenders can mix any drink you like they do fantastic job. Will definitely be coming back here again to partake in some of the entrees I hear their burgers are fantastic you wont be disappointed.
