This food was really delicious. It’s a fine place to eat. The vibe of the place was alright. Not my favorite. I always love a restaurant with a little light music in the background that reflects the culture. That’s just me though. The curries are outstanding. The spring roll was amazing.

Prices were okay for Bay area tourist prices. One plate consisting of 2-3 sliced stir fried eggplant with soy sauce-based seasoning what are two fried eggs in a couple of slivers of bell pepper was $19 we added prawns for extra refresh the rest of the prawns were Frozen stir fried. Dinner plate was four slices of chicken supposably barbecued.. I didnt see any barbecue Marks but there was some Thai BBQ sauce in a both and splashed across the romaine lettuce underneath$20. Three Chinese yam dumplings with yellow curry$13. The food was edible. This is a very Americanized version of Thai. A little better than fast food. Waitress made a pretence of being very patient because we wanted to look over the menu a minute more and wanted to start with water. Precision ordered an appetizer. You could tell she was upset she might have to come back again dinner order. Wasnt she kind of have to come back to pick up the appetizer plate? Fortunately a male waiter intermittently spelled her off. Spoke with a number of the customers all were tourist. No locals. On a Friday night this says a lot since there is nice housing all the way around this complex.

This place is tucked away in a shopping center but don’t let that fool you; every dish is executed to perfection. Service is a little slow during lunch but well worth the wait.

This is a poor interpretation of Thai food… Papaya salad had zero spice, zero flavor. Duck tasted like it was cooked, then frozen, then microwaved before putting it in the red curry. Red curry and pad Thai was an acceptable basic flavor.

Fantastic restaurant! The flavorful food was absolutely heavenly and I will definitely be coming back here! The staff was so friendly and helpful and the indoor design makes me feel so relaxed! I love the seating options and the menu is laid out in an elegant way to make choosing your meal easy :) Delicious, delightful, I highly recommend Thep Lela Thai Restaurant and wish I could give them 10 stars!! Oh! Forgot to mention the brown rice was absolute perfection and beautiful deep purple color

Delicious... a delightful dinner we had the goong gaborg, pad Thai and snapper with green mangoes/ veggies. We finished everything & I wanted more . Im looking forward to be back here & enjoy more deliciousness. I just love it when I taste food that makes me smile with nostalgia.

This was the most bland Thai food Ive ever had in my entire life. It cost about 50% more of what it would most places, but the quality was literally the worst thai food. It upset my stomach. The service was not good either, slow, had to ask. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, would not go again. Closer to Chinese in flavor than Thai.

Thats my $3 rice, n $3 tiny tea cup n $16 curry that was so bland I had to ask for salt n lemon to try pull flavor out.Good things were ambience and vegys. But Im still Hungry after $25 meal.Ive spent amply time in Thailand I will never understand why American Thai run restaurants still botch what they serve here.Ill stick to my Favorite in San Rafael, where rice comes free, my $14 curry is rich and filling, I always leave full n with leftovers, of which they always put more rice in on my togo.

Hidden, tucked away little gem of a place right off the highway. Food and service was just fabulous!! Spring Rolls-- delicious! Mango salad -- a must!! The panang chicken and kee mao extremely tasty!!!Forgot to take pictures as I was too excited to eat!!

This place was my husbands and daughters recommendation. They loved the ambience. Other than that, I cant say anything good. Food was ok. Was not worth the 50 bucks. Vegetables with tofu $17.95. A bowl of rice $6. App and wine 20. They also charged for sauce and did not inform that they will. Had to wait for 40 minutes for one dish. Paid 55 bucks and still not full.Not going back.

Ordered the panang beef curry. It was good but 20 dollars is too much for it. When I first looked at the menu, I thought rice was included given the price, but rice is ordered separately and was 3 dollars a bowl. I also ordered the blue honolulu cocktail which was made of rum, blue carucao liquor, and pineapple juice which was fine, around 8-10 dollars.

Really delicious food. Excellent flavors on all their food. The hot sauce pastes they has was some of the best. Recommended adding that to your dish to add an extra dimension to it. The coconut custard sticky rice was fantastic. Very unique dessert. Recommend trying that!

Wow!!!!! Just got basil GROUND chicken Thai spicy and WOW!! Oh with a fried egg on top.. Wasn’t on the menu like that but they served it up anyway. The sauce on the side was so spicy I almost took my shoes off!!! Generous portion also.. Friendly staff and great atmosphere .. Loved it

Very courteous and attentive service. Vegan- friendly menu. Good portion sizes. I had the eggplant stir fry and the flavors were spot on. Decor and ambience make for an excellent date night option, but also fine for families.

Quiet little place. Youre not likely to stumble over it. Saw good reviews and took a chance. Great food, eggplant and pork was a 10! Their brown rice is unlike any Ive tried. Give them a try and you wont be disappointed.

The first impression is always usually an indication: the interior, the employees, how many people, etc. When we first entered, my first impression was this place is nice!. The booths are connected low benches, nicely laid out making for a bright comfortable and fun experience all wrapped in a Thai aesthetic. The staff: very friendly and attentive. The patrons? Somewhat empty at first but then by the time we were leaving, pretty full. All good signs.I ordered the Pad Thai - yes, the tried and true staple but thats what I wanted and its a great dish to set the tone at the Thai place right? My friend had Satay. The portion was large and it was pretty good. It lacked a little punch from what Im used to but they may be catering to the local clientele: Mill Valley and Tiburon. Need I say more (now, before you go wagging your finger at me, I live in Mill Valley and throwing myself into that not too spicy please white man syndrome).Ill visit again and up my star rating after getting a few more dishes under my belt (literally).

This is hands down the most flavorful thai food I have had in the Bay Area. Each entree was better than the previous, and all are significantly better tasting than equivalent dishes at other thai places Ive been to. The portions are big enough that I am eating left overs as I type this, and am reminded about how good this food tastes. Cannot wait to eat Thep Lela again!

Nice decor for a shopping center, open air like in Oahu, to enjoy the mild Bay breeze. Booths have elegant wood benches w pillow seats. Quite busy for 2:30 pm, but perhaps just people out taking revenge on the prior Covid lockdown.Food was very reasonably priced for the neighborhood and tasted great, like most Thai restaurants. They even have crab dishes (didnt try).

We came here late, the restaurant was about to close. But we were invited in and were able to order three dishes, a vegeterian stir fry, a vegetarian curry and an edamame appetizer. Everything arrived very fast and was super fresh and good. We are very grateful for the special effort and attentive service. Pleasing surroundings made the meal even more special.

Always enjoy eating here on our way back from San Francisco to El Dorado Hills. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, the menu has good variety and the food is flavorful. We had the Duck Curry tonight with brown rice - it was delicious.

Ordered Beef Salad and the Hot Basil with Calamari. Both were terrific texture, flavor, presentation and portion size at a reasonable price. Miang Kam appetizer came with excellent fresh ingredients as well. Thai Iced tea was as good as any Ive had, tho ill admit to never really detecting a difference between different restaurants. Only downside was feeling rushed to pay and leave despite being there less than an hour and with no shortage of available seating in the restaurant. The food was top notch, regardless.

This restaurant is pretty well known for the area, for basically being the only full service Thai food restaurant. The food is decent and so is the service, so I would recommend giving it a try if you want to try some Thai food. There is plenty of nearby parking and there usually isnt a wait.

Delicious food, only it absolutely NEVER ARRIVES if you order it through GRUBHUB. The third-party delivery service they use are apparently stoned out of their minds and prefer to eat your food rather than deliver it. Either that or they just don t actually care. It has now happened to me TWICE IN 2 WEEKS that I order well-within their timeframe, my order is confirmed through Grubhub (with a 90-minute delivery time) -- and then the food just NEVER ARRIVES. Then Grubhub goes out of their way to make it extra disappointing and refuses to refund your money until they speak to the restaurant in the morning. Just: NEVER ORDER FOOD FROM GRUBHUB AT THIS PLACE. Go there and pick it up.

Every time we go here it is so special from the waiters to the Eleanors to the people who meet you on the sidewalk its always a special situation never a problem to get reservations and the food is jests predictably wonderful every time we go there so we invite our friends over and over again and you cant miss it just on the side of the highway in the strawberry recreation area
